What equipment is better to install on Muts 58. New Season of Ranked Battles

26-03-2016, 13:06

We welcome everyone to the portal site! Now we will look at the detailed Panzer 58 Mutz guide. Yes, yes, this is the same new premium medium tank eighth level, which was on sale very limited time. However, many players managed to buy it, and it's worth talking about what it is.

TTX Pz 58 Mutz

Before starting to consider the main characteristics of the Panzer 58 Mutz, I would like to say a few words about his appearance. A unique camouflage was applied to the tank, and an aggressive polar bear is clearly visible on both sides of the turret and hull - a wonderful and very beautiful addition.
Otherwise, the Pz 58 Mutz performance characteristics tell us about the good mobility of the tank, indeed, the vehicle is frisky and very maneuverable, which gives us the opportunity to be versatile. In addition, we are not deprived of armor either, it is, of course, not high, but ricochets from the forehead of the tower save from time to time, and the upper armor plate of the hull in some places also has 120 millimeters of armor, which cannot but rejoice.

The vehicle has a decent margin of safety, but the Pz 58 Mutz has a poor visibility, although this parameter is quite typical for premium vehicles.

gun

Pz 58 Mutz gun - that's what this car is famous for, that's why it is strong. Most of premium Tanks World of Tanks has frankly weak weapons, and if they have everything in order with one-time damage, then the armor penetration parameter is often not enough, since it is greatly underestimated. However, here we have 212 millimeters of penetration with the base projectile, which puts us on the same level with the famous FCM 50t and AMX CDC.

The one-time damage we have is typical for a premium vehicle of the 8th level, the aiming time is also standard, dispersion, rate of fire, in other words, the gun is good. In addition, there is always the opportunity to improve all these parameters with equipment and crew perks. Looking ahead, we can say that even immediately the Pz 58 Mutz WoT shoots very cheerfully, and the accuracy after full mixing is completely excellent - German.

By the way, our gun bends down by as much as 10 degrees, which makes the gun and the game itself even more comfortable.

All these parameters make the Pz 58 Mutz an excellent farmer of silver credits. On average, you will easily take out 35,000-45,000 net profit from a battle, and many people buy premium vehicles for this.

Advantages and disadvantages of the Panzer 58 Mutz WoT

Well, the main characteristics and parameters of the gun have been considered, so it's time to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the tank. But it’s worth saying right away that all the pros and cons will concern the premium vehicle, and not the traditionally upgraded tank.

Pros:
A good and comfortable gun with excellent armor penetration;
High mobility;
Rational angles of inclination of the forehead armor of the turret and hull;
Excellent gun depression angles;
High potential for farming silver.

Minuses:
In general, booking is weak;
The review is small;
Not a preferential level of fights.

Equipment Pz 58 Mutz World of Tanks

As we said above, the equipment of the Pz 58 Mutz allows us to improve all the best characteristics of our tank, make it even more comfortable and deadly, so the following modules would be the best choice:
, , .

As usual, the last option can quite reasonably be replaced by , although our review is not the largest, the upgraded crew will fix this small problem.

Crew training Pz 58 Mutz

And now let's dwell on one of the key points, because for the Pz 58 Mutz, perks for the crew will greatly increase the effectiveness and farm in each battle, so they should be chosen thoughtfully, slowly, remembering that the crew can be transferred to other German medium tanks.

Commander - , , , .
Gunner - , , , .
Driver mechanic - , , , .
Loader - , , , .

Having pumped the Panzer 58 Mutz crew in this way, we will get an excellent increase in all the main characteristics, and further development will depend on you, but first of all we recommend pumping out, since shooting from the second line and moving with increased stealth will not interfere with us.

Equipment for Pz 58 Mutz

A kind of standard is equipment for the Pz 58 Mutz, since the choice will be as follows: , and , if everything is in order with the amount of silver or gold, put , and . The last consumable in both cases can be replaced with , this will make the tank even stronger.

Game tactics Pz 58 Mutz

For the Panzer 58 Mutz, combat tactics are a very versatile aspect, because we feel confident both on the first line and on the second. However, the second line is still preferable, in this case we can most fully realize the accuracy of our guns and level out the shortcomings of the armor.

In any case, we should play carefully, expose ourselves to enemy shells as little as possible and try to show only the tower when firing, since it has a streamlined shape, and the gun mask is a screen. We lean out, quickly fire a shot and hide for the duration of the reload, a fairly typical technique.

Do not forget that the Pz 58 Mutz WoT has high mobility, change the direction of attack, flank, help your allies, and do not stay in one place for a long time in order to reduce the likelihood of deadly artillery hits.

Generally speaking, we feel especially comfortable at the top of the list, here there is always enough penetration, and the opponents are not so dangerous, and farming is better. However, in a battle with dozens, everything is also quite good, of course, gold shells have to be loaded from time to time, but only if we have a really heavily armored enemy in front of us.

Since update 9.17.1, the Pz. 58 Mutz will be added to the client World games of Tanks for purchase with in-game gold, we remind you that before that, the Panzer 58 Mutz was sold exclusively for a limited time and only for a cash equivalent. Let's take a closer look at the Panzer 58 Mutz in the article.

Before moving on to the main technical characteristics of the medium tank of the German Panzer 58 Mutz branch, it is necessary to focus on its appearance, it is called the alpine bear. The vehicle has standard camouflage coloring: an aggressive bear is clearly visible on the sides of the turret and hull. This nuance does not affect the camouflage performance, but is a nice and original addition.

Panzer 58 Mutz performance characteristics

Overview of premium medium tank tier 8 Pz. 58 Mutz in which the performance characteristics of the Panzer 58 Mutz are fully consistent with the parameters of a medium tank. The car is quite maneuverable, not offended by high-speed performance. This provides a versatile game. In addition, the tank is not deprived of frontal armor: not the most outstanding performance in the game, but 120 millimeters of armor plate in the upper part of the hull and a ricochet turret help to catch non-penetration even from high-level opponents.

The technique has a relatively good margin of safety, but cannot boast of a good overview.

With the 9 cm Kanone gun, the Panzer 58 Mutz is doing well, so these are the characteristics of the turret gun. Many units of premium vehicles have frankly weak weapons. In particular: good one-time damage is often negated by poor armor penetration. Pz 58 Mutz clearly falls out of the problem range: here there is 212 millimeters of penetration by the base projectile. This brings the "German" to the same level with such machines as the AMX CDC or FCM 50T.

In general, the characteristics of the weapon look quite acceptable for a premium level 8 MT. There is a good mixing speed, a relatively small spread and decent accuracy. In general, everything looks pretty good, in addition, already good indicators can be improved with crew perks and the installation of additional equipment. It can be noted that even without improvements, the gun can effectively fire on the move with characteristic German accuracy. LHV allows the gun to tilt 10 degrees down, which allows for comfortable shooting, playing from the terrain.
Thanks to these indicators, the Pz 58 Mutz farms well in battles, bringing its owner about 45,000 net income. By the way, this feature makes the tank one of the most popular in the game: the purpose of premium vehicles is pure profit, and the tank copes with this task perfectly. Based on these features, you can start choosing equipment that will help increase the performance characteristics of the vehicle.

Panzer 58 mutz equipment

Equipment for pz. mutz should be chosen appropriately, the player's choice should be directed towards promotion lethal characteristics cars. The recommended option would be to install the following modules:
Rammer, stabilization of vertical guidance and coated optics. Note that the last module can be replaced with improved ventilation to increase the overall effectiveness of the vehicle in combat.

Panzer 58 mutz crew perks

If we talk about the skills of the crew, the choice can be as follows:
Commander- an eagle eye.
Gunner- sniper and smooth turret rotation.
Driver mechanic- smooth ride and off-road king.
loader- non-contact ammunition and intuition. And regardless of individual perks, it is necessary to pump out repairs, brotherhood and disguise.

How to play panzer 58 mutz

It is necessary to choose the right tactics of behavior in battle on the Panzer 58 Mutz - this is a tank for a versatile game. The car will feel equally confident on the first / second line. However, you still shouldn't climb on the rampage, but hide the shortcomings of the armor while in the second echelon, making the most of the gun's accuracy.
Regardless of the situation, it is better to avoid open spaces, and expose only the tower, which has a teardrop shape, which increases the chance of ricocheting from hits. In addition, the mask of the gun is a screen. Therefore, we adhere to the standard tactics for STs: shoot and roll back into cover to reload. Do not forget that we are dealing with a maneuverable machine. Therefore, we do not hesitate to change flanks, promptly responding to the situation on the battlefield. At the same time, open spaces should be avoided: artillery hits can be fatal.
It is worth noting that the Panzer 58 Mutz feels comfortable in the top, which allows you not to be too afraid of enemies, and the absence of heavily armored opponents helps to farm silver well. However, even in high-level battles, the car feels quite confident. Armor penetration is quite enough to deal damage to dozens, so you will have to switch to sub-calibers only in extreme cases.

Panzer 58 mutz worth buying

Before deciding whether to take the Panzer 58 Mutz, let's look at the strengths and weak sides. Based on the foregoing, you can already add up the advantages and disadvantages of this machine. However, when doing a comparative analysis, do not forget that we are talking about a premium tank.
To the undeniable benefits the following points can be included:
— An excellent gun with high armor penetration and accuracy.
- Mobility in combat.
- Relatively good armor for the frontal part of the hull and turret.
- Comfortable horizontal guidance angles.
High level income.

The disadvantages include:
— Lack of preferential level of battles.
— Frankly weak radius of view.
- Cardboard boards.

Frankly speaking, it turns out to be a good machine for farming, and if you leave a review on 58 Mutz, it will obviously be positive, just do not forget that you need to be able to play medium tanks and it is in such hands that the tank will allow you to support and worthwhile game, it is better to advise beginners a completely different car. It will be possible to buy Panzer 58 Mutz as already mentioned in the game client for 8700 units of game gold (golds). And Mutz does not have preferential fights, so he will get to 10 levels.

Panzer 58 video

For years Switzerland did not have its own production of armored vehicles and purchased desired machines from third countries. The fundamental decision to develop and build our own armored combat vehicles was made only in the early fifties. The first real result of this decision was the appearance of the Pz 58 medium tank, which determined the further development of Swiss tank building.

The Panzer 58 project, or Pz 58 for short, had a very interesting background. In the early fifties the group German companies The defense industry, in cooperation with several Swiss firms, created a project for a promising medium tank, which was planned to be offered to India. Soon, the design documentation for the Indien-Panzer tank was handed over to the potential customer of the equipment represented by the Indian army, but he did not want to continue cooperation. Certain developments on an already created project were soon used to create another promising armored vehicle - the so-called. Europanzer.

Shortly after the start of work on the Indian Tank, Switzerland, which played an important role in this project, decided to use the opportunity and create its own medium-class armored vehicle. The design was entrusted to the design office EKW (Eidgenössische Konstruktionswerkstätte), Thun. The project received the working designation KW 30, reflecting the required combat weight of the vehicle in tons. Work started in 1953. On the next year tests of prototypes were planned, and already in 1955-56 the army was supposed to receive the first production tanks.

In accordance with the initial technical proposal, the promising KW 30 medium tank was to have a significant resemblance to the Indien Panzer. It was proposed to unify the equipment for the power plant and transmission, some parts of the hull and chassis. It was supposed to arm the car with a rifled gun of 90 mm caliber. Subsequently, some of these requirements were met, while other items of the terms of reference were subjected to one or another change with corresponding consequences for the entire project.

Despite some experience in creating military equipment, the EKW designers were unable to meet the deadline. A model of a promising tank was built and presented to the customer only in 1956 - already after the serial vehicles, in accordance with the original plans, were to go to the troops. The first prototype of the KW 30 was put to the test about a year later. This machine fully complied with the original technical specifications: in particular, it carried a 90-mm rifled gun with a barrel length of 48 calibers.

Having studied the requirements presented by the customer, the EKW design bureau proposed the appropriate appearance of a promising armored vehicle. Its interesting feature was the presence of features characteristic of tank building schools. different countries. The resulting KW 30 was at the same time similar to the German and american tanks. In addition, certain design features distinguished it from both. Apparently, the Swiss engineers decided to copy some foreign ideas and solutions, but at the same time use the most successful combination of them.

The tank of the new model received a cast hull, consisting of several large-sized elements. The forehead of the hull was made in the form of two converging inclined surfaces, curved outward. The thickness of the frontal armor reached 60 mm. The center of the rear of the upper front was raised above the edges, which was required to install the driver's hatch and properly align with the roof of the hull. The sides of the hull up to 30 mm thick consisted of a vertical lower part, which had attachments for the undercarriage units, and a small curved upper section. The hull roof, made integral with the frontal part, had a curved shape and bent directly next to the shoulder strap. The aft roof, protecting the engine compartment, was tilted back. Behind the body was covered with 20-mm armor.

Most of the upper side element was under the boxes for the transport of property. On each side of the vehicle, three such devices of different sizes were provided, located next to the fighting compartment and the front of the engine compartment. The aft part of the fenders was given for the installation of perforated casings, inside of which there were exhaust silencers. It was also proposed to mount lighting equipment there.

The KW 30 tank also received a complex-shaped cast turret. The cap was based on a hemisphere, supplemented by several complex surfaces. So, a frontal unit with armor up to 80 mm thick was envisaged, having an embrasure for mounting a gun with a rectangular mask. In the center, with some shift to the stern, the main hemisphere was supplemented by the commander's and loader's turrets. There was a volumetric niche on the aft part of the tower. The level of protection of the sides and stern of the tower corresponded to the details of the hull.

The tank was built according to the traditional scheme with a front control compartment, a central fighting compartment and an engine-transmission compartment in the stern.

In the aft compartment of the tank, a Mercedes Benz 837 carburetor engine with an HP 600 power was placed. Previously, this eight-cylinder liquid-cooled engine was offered for use on the Indien-Panzer machine, and now could be used in a new project. A mechanical transmission was connected to the engine, transmitting its torque to the rear drive wheels. It was envisaged to use an auxiliary power unit in the form of a 38-horsepower Mercedes Benz OM 636 engine. It was connected to a generator and made it possible to provide on-board systems with energy without using the main engine.

For greater ease of maintenance, the engine compartment was covered from above with a large number of individual covers. Each side had hinges for mounting ten narrow doors, including lattice ones. This made it much easier to access the engine and perform repair work. In addition, the repair was facilitated by mounting the engine, transmission, cooling systems and auxiliary power unit on a common frame, which formed a single power unit.

During the development of the project, significant changes were made to the design of the chassis of the promising tank. So, the full-size model of 1956 was equipped with five road wheels on each side. With further development of the project, the undercarriage was supplemented by a sixth pair of rollers. As a result, the tank received six double rubber-coated road wheels of medium diameter on each side. The rollers had an individual suspension with balancers and shock absorbers in the form of belleville springs, supplemented by hydraulic dampers. Three pairs of supporting rollers were placed above the latter. In front of the hull, on the caterpillar tension mechanisms, guide wheels were placed, in the stern - leading wheels with lantern gearing. The caterpillar for the new tank was not borrowed from ready-made samples and was created from scratch based on some foreign developments.

In the frontal part of the tank turret was placed a rocking installation with the main armament. The main tank was a 90-mm cannon of its own Swiss design. A coaxial 7.5 mm MG 51 machine gun was mounted on some mounts with a cannon. An MG 29 anti-aircraft machine gun was to be mounted on the commander's turret. The total ammunition load of the two machine guns consisted of 3400 rounds in several belts.

The tank was supposed to carry fairly simple means of fire control. At the gunner's workplace, to the right of the gun, there were periscope and telescopic sights. Also, the tower was equipped with an optical stereoscopic rangefinder. The lenses of this device were placed in front of the sides of the tower and covered with armor casings. Guidance was proposed to be carried out using electro-hydraulic drives. A characteristic feature of the Swiss tank was improved capabilities in conditions highlands. Vertical aiming drives made it possible to lower the gun barrel at angles up to -10 ° relative to the horizontal.

The crew of the armored vehicle consisted of four people. The driver was housed in the front compartment inside the hull. Access to his place was provided by a double hatch in the upper frontal part. It was proposed to observe the road in a combat situation with the help of three periscopes. Under the driver's seat in the bottom there was a hatch for emergency leaving the car.

Three other tankers were inside the fighting compartment. At the left side of the tower was placed loader, who had a small turret with additional equipment. It was necessary to follow the terrain through six viewing devices along the perimeter of the turret cap. On top of it there was a double hatch. Also, the turret was equipped with a turret for mounting an anti-aircraft machine gun. The second hatch of the tower was on the starboard side. It also had a set of viewing devices, but at the same time it differed from the left one in its design, which allowed the commander to observe without dead zones.

The finished KW 30 tank had a body length of 6.9 m, length with a gun forward - about 8.5 m. The width of the vehicle exceeded 3 m, height - 2.85 m. The combat weight reached 35 tons. speed up to 55 km/h. 640 liters of fuel was enough for 350 km on a good road.

The first prototype of the KW 30 medium tank was submitted for testing in 1957. The military carefully studied this car and made some conclusions. First of all, a list of necessary improvements was determined, after which the armored vehicle could be put into service. The customer noted some design flaws, and also wished to get more powerful weapons. Soon his requirements were met, and in 1958 a new experimental tank entered the training ground.

According to some reports, it was at this stage that the KW 30 project received an updated designation - Panzer 58 or Mittlerer Panzer 58. It was under this name that the project subsequently became widely known. Also, some sources mention the additional name of the Mutz project ("Stump" or "Tailless Animal"). The reasons for this nickname are unknown.

84 mm gun and 20 mm automatic cannon. Photo Panzer-journal.ru

The 90 mm caliber tank gun used in the first version of the project did not fully suit the military. In this regard, a proposal appeared to equip the new tank with more powerful cannon. A noticeable increase in performance without the need to rework the fighting compartment could be obtained using the British-designed 84-mm Ordnance QF 20 pounder gun. In addition, there was a proposal to abandon the use of a coaxial machine gun. Instead, a 20-mm Oerlikon Panzerkanone 61 automatic cannon should now be located next to the main gun. modern tanks using the most effective weapon in the situation.

In 1958, tests began on the second prototype, which received a British gun and a twin automatic gun. In this form, the armored car arranged for the military and was recommended for adoption. Soon the corresponding order was issued. The new equipment was to be operated by the army under the official name Panzer 58 / Pz 58.

Should have started soon mass production new armored vehicles, but even before it began, the customer wished to carry out another upgrade. In the late fifties, armored vehicles developed at an accelerated pace, due to which the British-designed 20-pounder gun could no longer be considered effective tool combating modern armored vehicles of potential opponents. Thus, in 1959-60, the Swiss industry, instead of preparing for the serial construction of equipment, was forced to engage in its next update.

Through some refinement of the fighting compartment and weapons attachment systems, it was possible to place a 105-mm British-made Royal Ordnance L7 rifled gun in the existing turret. In the existing fighting compartment, stacking for 44 unitary projectiles was installed. The new gun gave a significant increase in firepower without reducing the other characteristics of the tank. In this configuration, the medium tank Pz 58 could effectively deal with existing and some promising foreign combat vehicles. Two blocks with three smoke grenade launchers on each were installed on the sides of the tower.

Due to the need for a new revision of the project, which implies the next replacement of the gun, the mass production of a promising tank began only in 1960 - five years later than originally planned. Nevertheless, despite the delay, the finished sample completely satisfied the customer and could find a place in the ground forces. In view of the use of ready-made components and assemblies that have already been tested, it was decided not to build experienced tanks with a more powerful weapon; such equipment was immediately assembled as part of a serial batch.

General view of the production tank Pz 58. Figure Tanks-encyclopedia.com

During 1960 and 1961, the Swiss industry managed to build and transfer ten tanks of the new model to the army. After that, the production of Pz 58 was curtailed. The fact is that simultaneously with the mass production of equipment, the EKW design bureau began work on the modernization of an existing tank. The result of the new project was the appearance of the Panzer 61 medium tank, which was put into service in 1961. It differed from the existing sample in a number of characteristic features and more high performance. For this reason, it was decided to start mass production of the new Pz 61, ending the production of the older Pz 58.

The Swiss army managed to get only 10 serial Panzer tanks 58, after which newer armored vehicles began to arrive in the unit. Small volumes of production did not allow to re-equip ground troops similar equipment, but its deliveries still had positive influence on the state of the fleet of armored combat vehicles. The military got the opportunity to master a modern model and gain some experience in operating new machines. At the same time, a full-fledged rearmament was launched, which made it possible to gradually write off obsolete british tanks Centurion, which served under the designations Pz 55 and Pz 57.

Medium tanks Pz 58 in the original configuration remained in service until 1964. After that, the Swiss command decided to finally abandon such equipment in favor of newer tanks. The continuity of the design determined further fate ten available cars. The tanks went for repairs and modernization, during which they were rebuilt in accordance with the Panzer 61 project. Soon they returned to the army, but in a new capacity.

According to reports, the first prototype with a 90-mm gun was disposed of as unnecessary in the late fifties or early sixties. The second prototype, which received a British-designed gun, was more fortunate. This car was preserved and later sent to the Panzermuseum Thun (Thun), where it is located to this day. Serial tanks, rebuilt according to a new project, were eventually removed from service and decommissioned along with other Pz 61. Perhaps, after that, some of them managed to become museum exhibits. However, for obvious reasons, now they can only represent the Panzer 61 project, and not the older Pz 58.

In the early fifties, Switzerland decided to develop its own medium tank. Using the available own and other people's developments, the EKW design bureau was able to create a very interesting model of a combat armored vehicle, which launched the further development of Swiss military technology. The project of the KW 30 / Pz 58 tank itself did not allow for a full-fledged rearmament of armored units, but still had a significant impact on the future of the army and its combat vehicles. Moreover, all subsequent development of Swiss tanks was carried out through successive improvements in the design of the very first armored vehicle of this class.

Tankers!

About two weeks have passed since the release of update 1.5, and we are already ready to launch general test version 1.5.1. You will be able to test the rebalance of medium tanks, as well as a new functionality - session statistics. And the Kharkiv winter map will also return to the game. Go!

Rebalance of medium tanks

After improving the Swedish heavy tanks With Kranvagn in the lead, it's time to take a look at some Tier X medium tanks and tweak their key combat stats. We pre-tested the changes to these machines on a super test to see how they will affect game process and are now ready to take the next step and complete the rebalancing process.

  • Leopard 1 will get a distinct sniper quality and will be able to more effectively deal damage to the enemy from a long distance. Its feature will be high one-time damage, mobility and comfortable firing at a distance.
  • STB-1 will be able to get the most out of the terrain thanks to the hydropneumatic suspension and turret. The vehicle will be most effective in the role of fire support at medium and close ranges: high damage per minute and increased turret protection will make the STB-1 an extremely dangerous opponent and a very valuable ally.

Session statistics will be available in all your game clients. For example, you can play at work and then continue at home with the statistics already collected earlier.

Also, as part of the work on session statistics, we slightly reworked the Hall of Fame and added the following information to it:

  • indicators for all time;
  • indicators of the impact of current statistics for the day on combat performance for the entire time.

This functionality includes many aspects. More information about session statistics will appear in special article. Follow the news!

Updated map "Kharkiv"

"Kharkov" is back, but in an updated form. Previously, the location was of interest primarily to heavily armored vehicles, which felt great in urban labyrinths with many quick head-to-head fights at short distances. However, players who preferred lightly armored vehicles were not so comfortable fighting on this map.

In update 1.5.1, Kharkiv will change a lot. We tried to preserve the characteristic gameplay features of the previous version of the map and at the same time expand the possibilities for using various types of vehicles, including vehicles with light armor.

And here are the key changes:

  • The redesigned map has become much larger: its size has increased to 1000x1000 m.
  • We've changed the location of the bases and rotated the map 45 degrees to give players more room to maneuver and allow them to try different tactics.
  • The right part of the map is urban development, reproduced with high historical accuracy (approximate time - early 1943). This is where heavy tanks will measure their armor thickness.
  • The left side of the map is an open space offering players varied relief and plenty of cover. This is a zone where light and medium tanks will feel comfortable and be able to perform flanking maneuvers. There are also two hills here, so tank destroyers will be able to support their team with fire, preventing any breakthroughs in this direction.
  • The city and open parts of the map are separated by an anti-tank moat, which also serves as the shortest path between the bases.

Kharkiv TO

Kharkiv AFTER

In general, this winter map is now suitable for playing on vehicles of all types and at the same time retains the spirit of the old school, when heavyweights were dealt face to face in the yards near the center of Kharkov. Now any vehicle will be able to reveal its combat potential, and tankers will get more opportunities to play both in a platoon and solo.

Welcome to Kharkov, tankers!

And now is the time to test all the innovations and changes! We are waiting for your feedback!

Update 9.22 releases February 6th, and it turned out to be truly tanky. Serious changes to Soviet vehicles are ahead: a rebalance of the medium tank branch, new heavy tanks, an alternative tank destroyer branch. We are also waiting for improvements to the balancer, and a little later - a new season of Ranked Battles.

What's new

As you remember, initially we planned to adapt the Object 430 to the current conditions of random battles, add heavy tanks with a rear turret, and rebalance the Object 263 branch to make the tech tree more consistent.

We carefully analyzed your feedback and collected statistics after a series of tests. And now, Soviet medium tanks with a rear turret are turning into an independent branch, and the Object 430, together with the new Object 430U vehicle, will form a new branch of assault vehicles.

Regarding the addition of the TT and Tank Destroyer branches, the additional data we received proved that both branches fit well into the game and will positively affect the game balance.

Let's take a closer look at the changes in Update 9.22.

Changes in the branch of medium tanks of the USSR

Most recently, we announced a rebalance of the MT branches. After a series of game tests, we changed the branch from the A-43 vehicle: the Object 430U was added to the game (which we will talk about a little later), and other vehicles changed the level. Thus, the Object 430 (which remained in the shadow of its "brothers" T-62A and Object 140) moved to tier IX in the branch with the traditional turret layout - now it comes after the T-44 in the tech tree.

A powerful 122 mm gun with high single-shot damage mounted on the T-44 tank will become a hallmark of the entire branch of Soviet medium tanks. By the way, while she does not have top machine. We are still deciding on the best candidate for this role.

Tip: By the time new car in the branch of medium tanks with a rear ST turret, you can gain experience for the Object 430 Variant II.

Object 430U

The task of the "Object 430U" is to beat the enemy well from his 122-mm gun with a one-time damage of 440 units. Although it will take longer to reload, this vehicle will make a great addition to any CT squad.

The thickness of the reduced armor in the upper frontal part and the turret can reach values of 320 and 380 mm, respectively, while the hatches are quite well protected. However, this does not mean that you are invulnerable. An enemy tank destroyer or tank destroyer can still penetrate your armor, especially if they target the 180mm thick lower frontal part.

The rather nimble Object 430U with its speed of 50 km/h is not the fastest medium tank. However, good dynamics will be extremely useful in the heat of battle.

New heavy tanks of the USSR

Heavy tanks of the USSR are solid machines that do their job well. In 9.22, we'll diversify their ranks a bit by adding the Object 705A heavily armored melee vehicle.

The vehicle will lead a new alternative branch of Soviet heavy tanks. It will start with the IS-M at Tier VIII, followed by the Object 705 at Tier IX. common feature of all three vehicles - the rear location of the tower, which will determine the gameplay on these tanks.

Classic IP will serve as a starting point for a future branch.

Object 705A

"Object 705A" is a unique machine. Its role on the battlefield is fairly easy to determine, especially considering it carries a 152mm cannon capable of dealing 650 damage per shot. However, this weapon will be effective at medium and close range.

With a view of 390 m, this tank will not be able to successfully fire from a long distance - it is most effective in close combat.

The Object 705A is ideal for head-on battles and is able to withstand a lot thanks to its upper frontal part, the reduced thickness of which reaches 340 mm. However, the thickness of the NLD is only 244 mm, so it should be placed at an angle or hidden behind cover.

The mass of the "Object 705A" is about 100 tons, so it accelerates slowly. However, the engine power is enough to deliver this beast to the right place in time.

Rebalance of tank destroyers of the USSR

After rebalancing the alternative branch of USSR tank destroyers, vehicles will receive a new specialization. The branch starts with SU-100M1na VII level, then the SU-101 will follow, followed by the Object 263. And at the X level, the "Object 268 Option 4" will be located.

As in the ST and TT branches, the guns of these tank destroyers will also be located in the stern. In addition, these vehicles will be distinguished by good mobility, low maneuverability and strong frontal armor. Created for the attack, they should be in the forefront of the attackers, where they can influence the outcome of the battle as much as possible.

Object 268 Option 4

The new top-end tank destroyer embodies the entire branch. This machine will most effectively prove itself in a group attack. Mobility (50 km/h) and a good set of speeds will allow you to take a convenient position, however, low maneuverability means that this tank destroyer depends on the support of allies, otherwise enemy CTs will be able to "spin" it.

Balancer Improvements

In update 9.22, the balancer will allow you to get into different types battles of those that you noted. This means that in the next random battle, the chance to get into the type of battle that you have already been in (standard, assault, oncoming or general battle) will be lower.

This change will allow you to avoid getting into the same type of battle several times in a row (most of all this applies to the general battle). However, getting into the general battle through the battle is still possible.

To maximize the effectiveness of the new mechanics, the balancer needs data for the last 50 battles you played after the release of version 9.22.

NOTE: If you wait too long for a battle, the balancer may add additional battle types to your selections. If you wait longer than 50 seconds, the balancer will send you to the first available battle of any type.

New Season of Ranked Battles

New season will consist of only one stage lasting 21 days and 15 ranks. Ranks 5, 10 and 13 will not be lost if defeated. We've also revised the rewards: Reaching Rank 9 will reward you with 1,500 bonds. In addition, the higher the rank, the greater the reward.

Servers unavailable

Game servers will be unavailable on February 6 from 03:30 to 11:30 (Moscow time) due to the release of the update. We recommend that you refrain from making payments at this time.

Also on February 6, from 03:30 to 10:30 (UTC), the Clan Portal will be unavailable. In addition, on February 6, "Offensives" will not be held in the Strongholds.

Pudel- the only tank of the Polish nation in the game!

Also available for you are special sets with in-game currency and premium cars:

26-03-2016, 13:06

We welcome everyone to the portal site! Now we will look at the detailed Panzer 58 Mutz guide. Yes, yes, this is the very new Tier 8 premium medium tank that was on sale for a very limited time. However, many players managed to buy it, and it's worth talking about what it is.

TTX Pz 58 Mutz

Before starting to consider the main characteristics of the Panzer 58 Mutz, I would like to say a few words about its appearance.

Most of the World of Tanks premium tanks have frankly weak weapons, and if they have everything in order with one-time damage, then the armor penetration parameter is often not enough, since it is greatly underestimated.

Pros:
A good and comfortable gun with excellent armor penetration;
High mobility;
Rational angles of inclination of the forehead armor of the turret and hull;
Excellent gun depression angles;
High potential for farming silver.

Minuses:
In general, booking is weak;
The review is small;
