When to go on vacation to Vietnam. Beach and other types of recreation in Vietnam: where and at what time of the year is it better to go? Tourist places of Vietnam

If you start talking about Vietnam as a place to relax, then several cities come to mind at once: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phan Thiet and many others. This list must include interesting city Nha Trang or from Vietnamese Nha Trang. We will not succeed in pronouncing (or writing) the name of this city in Russian correctly, and therefore Nha Trang has many names in the Russian version: Nha Trang, Nha Trang, Nha Trang, Nha Trang, Nyatrang and many others written above. However, the most popular spelling of the name of this Vietnamese city is Nha Trang.

Brief information about the city.

Nha Trang is the capital of Khanh Hoa Province, which belongs to Central Vietnam. Adjacent to Nha Trang. The city is located in a valley between mountains that close it from three sides. And the island of Hon Tre, located near the city, does not big waves disturb residents and vacationers in Nha Trang.

Due to this unusual geographical location the climate of the region differs from other cities Central Vietnam. Most of the year here dry: January to August. only September to December. While in the rest of Vietnam it rains for about half of the year.

to October
in Nha Trang can be observed floods at the expense strong winds but they are quite rare. The last major flood in this region was in the early 2000s.

The advantage of a holiday at the beginning of the year is that the prices for tours have not yet risen to their maximum levels. Also during this period, it is better to swim in the sea in the morning, until about 12 noon. Later, the sea becomes muddy - a consequence

low season starts from to . Then the weather worsens - it begins, and the air temperature drops. However, the sea temperature remains within the mark of +23 degrees.

A city that is developing.

Until recently, Nha Trang was a small fishing village, but now the city is rapidly developing as a tourist center of Central Vietnam. Love to come here locals from South Vietnam and the closest neighboring countries: China and the adjacent part of Russia.

As a tourist center, Nha Trang has been known since the time of the emperors and when Vietnam was under the control of France. It was popular not only as a beach region, but also as a place with a rich historical heritage.

Nowadays, getting to Nha Trang is quite simple because it is located 50 kilometers from the city in the city of Cam Ranh. This airport used to be
air force base local military units and US military forces. Now it has been rebuilt and the airport has become the fourth in Vietnam in terms of passenger traffic.

Modern construction is actively developing in Nha Trang and large investments are pouring into the development of the city. For example, in Nha Trang the longest cable car in Vietnam. The beach capital and one of the most popular cities in Vietnam, Nha Trang is a lively, cheerful, full of fun resort that has gained demand and world fame. After reading this article on the Tour-Calendar, you will see that the best time to visit it is from February / March to the middle - the end of September.

Tourist season in Nha Trang

Nha Trang on the map of Vietnam is not just a point, but a wonderful resort that deserves to be written about. Once in this city, it is hard to believe that earlier it was a modest, inconspicuous fishing village, where no hotels and restaurants were ever seen. So this Vietnamese corner would have continued its monotonous and boring life, if the French colonialists, who built the first villas here and attracted the first pioneer tourists, did not pay attention to its amazing purity and unique natural splendor. We can assume that thanks to them, this resort has taken its current form. Well, the merit of its popularization belongs to the American invaders, who often rested in Nha Trang in between military operations. Fortunately, that difficult time for the city has long passed, and today nothing reminds of it. Kilometers of soft white sands, bordered by sprawling palm trees, luxury hotels and entertainment complexes “grown up” along the coast, well-trained service and vibrant nightlife - this is how modern Nha Trang appears before its many thousands of guests. By the way, our compatriots are among them.

High season

In the midst of tourist season lasting from March to August, Nha Trang is experiencing a stormy influx of foreigners. During this period, local beaches are filled with everyday bustle. The main interest of tourists focuses on the adoption of solar-water procedures. And this is not surprising, since the bay of the resort is one of the 20 most beautiful bays in the world. The second influx of tourists is observed in the Vietnamese New Year"Tet", which falls at the end of January, the beginning or the middle of February. During this time the rates are very high.

low season

The decline in the tourist season, which occurs from late September to mid-January, is primarily due to the worsening weather situation. The main obstacle to a carefree holiday are frequent and heavy rains, as well as a stormy sea. True, here it must be added that the climate changes from season to season, and even weather forecasters cannot say for 100% that the weather will be terrible. So, in November 2014, the notorious rainy season did not start. And in 2013 in the same month, on the contrary, it flooded every day. But one thing is known for certain: the price level at this time is rapidly falling. This is especially beneficial for those who come here for a long time on vacation or to look for work. Of course, there is a risk of typhoons and tsunamis, but in this region it is very, very small.

Beach season in Nha Trang

It is warm in Nha Trang regardless of the season on the calendar, so in fact bathing season never breaks. However, due to downpours and gusty winds that generate restlessness of the waves, serene splashing in turquoise waters is far from always possible. The least recommended time for beachgoers is from October to December, when about the idyllic surface South China Sea, as well as the transparency and purity of water, you can forget. Strong surf interferes with swims, and showers wash away sand and clay from the water area. This state of affairs suits only dexterous surfers, for whom the main thing is the presence of “well-fed waves”, and everything else does not really matter. However, if the main goal is not swimming, but getting a tan, then “ low season' is perfect for this. Precipitation, of course, is powerful, you can’t argue with that, but they are short, usually no more than half an hour. Get luxury chocolate shade skin can be easily and in cloudy conditions, since the ultraviolet in these parts is very aggressive. In January, intense rains in Nha Trang come to an end, however, for vacationers craving beach bliss, this is not the best time, since the water this month is the coldest of the year: about +22 ° C - about the same as on Mediterranean resorts in early June. If you want an impeccable holiday, we advise you to start it for the period from March to August with a minimum number of “wet” days and warm weather. calm sea. True, it should be clarified that in June, July and August there is a peak of heat, which is contraindicated for people with a weak heart and blood vessels. Also, since mid-August, the sea is slowly changing, and the waves become commonplace.

Diving season in Nha Trang

AT recent times specialized tours with a diving program are in increasing demand. The islands and resorts of the South China Sea are among the best on the planet for spectacular diving. Nha Trang offers enthusiastic lovers sea depths wonderful world colorful corals and colorful exotic fish. Since the water in the sea is always warm, diving is practiced here almost all year round. But still, the most optimal time for exploring the possessions of the kingdom of Neptune is March, April, May, all summer months and early September. During the rainy season, snorkeling is only done on downwind sites, and is mostly by professional athletes. During the rest of the year, about 20 dive centers are at the service of divers. Many of them are concentrated around the uninhabited island of Hon Mun, on the territory of which there is a real marine park with about 170 species of fish, 110 species of mollusks and 69 species of fauna.

fishing season

The sea off the coast of Nha Trang abounds marine life- shrimps, lobsters, octopuses, cuttlefish and many inhabitants of tropical and northern seas. There are two ways to fish: sitting with a rod on the shore (the cheapest way) or on a yacht in the most “bread” places, along the way enjoying the pristine charm of secluded bays, picturesque islands and grottoes scattered along the coast. As with diving, the best season to try your luck at fishing is spring, summer and early September. However, even in these months, there is a possibility that she may turn away. The fact is that fishing around Nha Trang is highly dependent on the phase of the moon. When it moves away from the earth, it enters the coastal zone cold water, along with which a good catch comes in - mackerel, barracuda and tuna. The rest of the time it is rather modest, hence the mixed reviews that fishing in Vietnam is very mediocre or even worse, none at all. In addition, you can go fishing on the lakes. This pleasure costs, as a rule, cheaper, and the impressions are no less.

Wellness season

Another common reason why tourists visit Nha Trang is the desire to improve their health, regain their youth and beauty. Nature rewarded the surroundings of this city with hot mineral springs and deposits of healing mud, which are actively used in thalassotherapy and in the treatment various diseases. Indications for treatment may be dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, diseases of the bronchopulmonary and nervous system, endocrine disorders, skin diseases. The best time to undergo procedures is winter, when there is no unbearable heat and a huge influx of people. But at the same time, for serious treatment, the season does not really matter.

Time for holidays and festivals

The cultural life of Vietnam is striking in its richness, scope and brilliance. Most of their mass depends on the phases of the moon, so it does not have clear dates. The largest ones include: Whale Festival (mid-3rd lunar month), Religious festival in Po Nagar tower (April-May), religious festival "Am Chua Festival" in the temple of the same name in the village of Dai Dien (approximately in May), Birthday national hero Ho Chi Minh City (May 19), week-long Nha Trang Sea Festival (June), Independence Day (September 2), Tet Trung Nguyen Mid-Autumn Festival (on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, which corresponds to the end of September - October), Che Ngo Festival (November), Catholic Christmas (December 25) and Vietnamese New Year (between late January and late February). You can familiarize yourself with the rest of the notable events if you go to the section in Vietnam.

Climate in Nha Trang

Nha Trang compares favorably with other cities and resorts in Vietnam with its blessed climate. It creates the most favorable conditions for the development of tourism in comparison with other regions of the country. Since the city is securely surrounded by a high ring of mountains, the frequency of typhoons, tsunamis and other natural disasters here is several times less than in other regions, and relative humidity and the amount of precipitation is much lower. Temperature fluctuations during the year are insignificant, the change of seasons can actually be judged only by the precipitation regime. Like in many cities South-East Asia, in Nha Trang there is the concept of "wet season". It here means the period of time from October to December, during which about 1500 precipitation falls, which is 4 times more than in the rest of the year.

Nha Trang in spring

Spring in Nha Trang is the most successful time in terms of weather. So far, there is no exhausting heat and powerful downpours. The wet monsoon went home, having previously transferred this territory to the power of the dry continental. The sea is clear and without waves, you can swim at your pleasure, snorkel and dive.

In power is communist party, however, in recent decades, Vietnamese socialism has acquired human face. Liberal reforms were carried out, which gave impetus to the development of the economy in general and the tourism industry in particular. beautiful tropical nature, gentle warm sea, rich story, a large number of attractions and exotic culture have contributed to the fact that over the past couple of decades, the tourist flow to the country has grown by orders of magnitude. Our compatriots also reached out to Vietnam, which was largely facilitated by the opening of direct flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

Now let's try to understand When is the best time to go on holiday to Vietnam? If you look at the map of Vietnam, we will see that the country is very strongly elongated from north to south (almost 2.5 thousand km). Because of this, in different parts countries at the same time, the weather can be completely different. Conventionally, Vietnam can be divided into three climatic zones: North, Central and South. Each of them has its own resorts, its attractions and each of them is worth a visit. But due to the difference in climate, it is comfortable to rest in them at different times.

Southern part of Vietnam.

In the south of Vietnam (from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City), two seasons can be distinguished - dry and wet. The air and water temperatures fluctuate slightly here - within a few degrees. The average annual temperature is 26-28. Dry season from December to April. From February to May, the weather is hot, with little or no rain. The wet season starts in May and ends in November. The largest number precipitation falls from June to August. However, the rains are short and one can even say that cloudy days provide a pleasant respite from the heat. At this time, prices are much lower for both flights and hotels.

Resorts in the south of Vietnam.

Mui Ne.

The main south of Vietnam is Mui Ne, Vung Tau and Phu Quoc Island. Mui Ne is located about 200 km north of Ho Chi Minh City near the town of Phan Thiet. The former fishing village over the past decades has become one of the best resorts in Vietnam, and throughout Southeast Asia. We can say that Mui Ne is a year-round resort. Along with Nha Trang, this is the most visited resort by Russian tourists. Here in all restaurants there is a menu in Russian, and most of the signs are also in Russian.

The advantage is that all the hotels are located on the beach (on the first line), in addition, there are a huge number of restaurants and bars. The disadvantages include the wind blowing throughout almost the entire year. But it's also a plus for fans. aquatic species sports. The resort is considered the best place for kiting lovers. There are kite schools along the coast. Best time for kiting from November to March. Sometimes when strong wind waves reach 4 meters high. Swimming lovers best to go on holiday in Mui Ne from April to September. The sea at this time is calm and clear.

Red dunes. Mui Ne.

Statue of Jesus in Vung Tau.

Vung Tau is a resort located just 128 km from Ho Chi Minh City, which has a very developed tourist infrastructure. This is one of the oldest resorts in the country. All along the coast are the former villas of the Vietnamese nobility, now converted into restaurants and guesthouses. There are several beaches in Vung Tau: front, back and mulberry. There is also a small picturesque beach with the French name Roche Noir. On the mountain above the city stands a huge statue of Jesus. Its height is 32 m and this statue of Jesus is very similar to the one in Rio. The disadvantages of the resort include close proximity to oil platforms, which is why the sea in Vung Tau cannot be called clean.

Beach on Phu Quoc island.

Phu Quoc Island is located in the Gulf of Thailand, 45 km from the coast and is the largest island in Vietnam. The island is 48 km long and 25 km wide. For a long time the island was considered a disputed territory between Vietnam and Cambodia. The island currently belongs to Vietnam. This is perhaps the quietest and most beachy of Vietnamese resorts. The beaches stretch from the town of Duong Dong to the south and are built up with hotels almost along their entire length.

In 2008, Fukuoka's beaches were recognized as the cleanest and most beautiful in the world. Time, When is the best time to relax in this Vietnamese the island is from October to March. April to September is the wet season. There are practically no sights in Fukuoka, but the nature is beautiful and often untouched. It is noteworthy that, unlike other regions of Vietnam, rice is not grown here. But black pepper is grown. Phu Quoc is the world's number one exporter of peppers. You can get to the island by plane from Ho Chi Minh City, or by bus and ferry from Ha Tien.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is also located in the South of Vietnam and is certainly interesting for tourists. This is the most Big city Vietnam (population about 8 million people). During the French rule and later from 1955 to 1975. Saigon was the capital of the country. At the end of the war with the communist North Vietnam, Saigon was renamed Ho Chi Minh City. But the locals continue to call it Saigon. Ho Chi Minh City is young - all historical buildings date back no earlier than the 19th century. Attractions mainly relate to the war period - these are the Kuchi tunnels in the vicinity of the city and the War Museum. In Ho Chi Minh is international Airport, through which all tourists get into southern Vietnam. Therefore, it is convenient to travel around the country from Ho Chi Minh City, move to resorts or go on excursions. For example, the Mekong Delta or Cambodia.

Resorts of Central Vietnam.

In this part of the article, we will look at When is the best time to go to Vietnam to its central part.

The main resorts of the central part of Vietnam are Nha Trang and Da Nang. In addition, the cities of Dalat, Hue and Hoi An are certainly interesting for tourists to visit.

City beach in Nha Trang.

Nha Trang is located 450 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. You can get to Nha Trang either by bus (about 9-10 hours on the way) or by plane. There is an airport 25 km from the city. Nha Trang is perhaps the most popular resort in Vietnam among Russian tourists. Russian speech is heard everywhere most of signs in Russian. And it’s easier to communicate with local Vietnamese in Russian than in English. Unlike Mui Ne, which is also popular with Russians, which looks more like a village, Nha Trang is a city with a well-developed infrastructure. Along the seven-kilometer sandy beach stretches a number of luxury hotels, including well-known international chains. And the rest of the city is built up with hotels very densely.

The beach in Nha Trang is very clean and well maintained, like the whole city. The mountains here approach the coast itself, so there is less rainfall than in other regions of the country and the likelihood of typhoons is minimal. Nha Trang is suitable for both calm, beach holiday and for lovers nightlife. There are many bars, nightclubs and discos. In addition, here is a paradise for diving enthusiasts. Dive clubs in the city are literally at every turn. At the same time, diving in Vietnam is the cheapest in the world. Nha Trang is also known as a medical resort. There is a clinic of mud therapy and treatment in the city mineral water. People come here to be treated for diseases of the joints, broncho-pulmonary and skin diseases. It's best to go on vacation in Nha Trang from February to May. At this time, there is no rain, the weather is clear and the sea is completely calm. September to December is the wet season. The rainiest months - November and December. At this time, the sea is usually cloudy, cool and stormy.

Hotels on the waterfront of Nha Trang.

View of the Danang embankment.

Da Nang is located 500 km north of Nha Trang. It is one of the largest port and industrial cities in Vietnam. It ranks fourth in terms of population. Despite the developed tourist infrastructure, a large number of hotels and good beaches (China Beach is recognized as one of the best in the country), the number of tourists coming to Da Nang is much less than in the same Nha Trang. Most travelers consider Da Nang as a transit point when moving from north to south or vice versa. There are no signboards in Russian, in restaurants you will not be offered Russian or even English menus. But this also has its advantages: people are not spoiled by tourists, prices are much lower than in Nha Trang and Mui Ne, and, importantly, there is no hectic traffic on the roads. Moving around the city on foot and on a rented motorbike is much more comfortable than in most other cities in Vietnam. The best time to relax in Da Nang from February to August.

View from the sea to Da Nang.

Imperial Citadel.

25 km south of Da Nang is the small town of Hoi An, standing on the banks of the Thu Bon River, a few kilometers from sea coast. Hoi An is a city frozen in time. Nowhere else in Vietnam are there places where the atmosphere of antiquity is so preserved. Currently, there are about 850 monuments of historical significance in the city.

Covered Japanese bridge.

To the north of Da Nang is the ancient capital of Vietnam - the city of Hue. Miraculously surviving during the fierce fighting during the war, he still has not lost his romantic sophistication. From 1802 to 1945 Hue was the capital of Vietnam. During this time, thirteen generations of emperors of the Nguyen dynasty were replaced. In 1945, with the coming to power of Ho Chi Minh City, the capital was moved to Hanoi. The city has preserved a huge number of ancient buildings: palaces, pagodas, temples. The surroundings of the city are also full of impressive monuments. All this makes Hue one of the most visited cities in Vietnam.

About 150 km from Nha Trang, in the mountains at an altitude of about 1500 m, there is one of the most beautiful cities in Vietnam - Dalat. Any tourist who arrives in Dalat invariably gets the feeling that this is Europe. This is felt both in architecture and in grooming, and in the general aura of the city. There is certainly something to see in Dalat. These are natural beauties: waterfalls, lakes, magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and cultural attractions. For example: a Buddhist monastery, pagodas, Buddha statues.

In the evening, you will be pleased to sit in one of the many restaurants with Vietnamese and European cuisine. In the center of the city is the amazingly beautiful Xuan Huong Lake, which has a curved shape and is surrounded by walking paths and a park. To the northeast of it are central regions the city where most of the hotels and restaurants are concentrated. Special mention is the road from Nha Trang to Dalat. About a third of the way is a mountain serpentine, from which unforgettable views open up. The road is especially impressive when you ride a motorbike along it and have the opportunity to stop at any convenient place and admire the surrounding nature.

Northern Vietnam.

Winter in Northern Vietnam is quite cool, in December and January the temperature can drop below 10 degrees Celsius. Summer is hot, sometimes even hotter than in the south. The landscape is mostly mountainous nature reserves and national parks. It often snows in mountainous areas, especially in the Sapa region. In the north of Vietnam is the capital and main administrative center of the country - Hanoi. The main resort of northern Vietnam is Halong.

Hanoi. Cathedral of Saint Joseph.

That's why best holiday in northern vietnam from mid-March to the end of May and from September to October. At this time, there is little rain, it is warm and the sea warms up to 24-26 degrees.

Vietnam is a country with undoubted charm. Tourism from Russia to this country began not so long ago, but no doubt it has every chance for constant growth. What is good in Vietnam is friendly people, low prices, beautiful beaches, excellent excursion. The downside is a long flight, but flying no further than to China or Thailand, so Vietnam is definitely worth discovering.

Vietnam can rightly be proud of the fact that it is a very safe country.

An obvious plus is the visa-free entry. Russian citizens are allowed to enter Vietnam without a visa for 15 days.

The capital of Vietnam is Hanoi. The second most important city is Ho Chi Minh City. It is through the airports of these cities that tourists arrive in Vietnam. And then by local airlines, buses or trains, they are sent to resort towns. Most popular resorts Nha Trang and Phan Thiet. In the season charters fly to the resort towns.

Hotels in Vietnam mainly provide breakfast and half board. There are practically no hotels with the All inclusive system. A well-known full board hotel is Vinpearl Nha Trang.

Since the main resorts are located in the south of Vietnam, and the main attractions are in the north, for those who want to combine an excursion with a beach holiday, it is best to go to Hoi An. When is the best time to relax in Vietnam, when is the rainy season, what time and where is the best resort

Until recently in this country there was Civil War, there was devastation and danger lurked everywhere. But now it is safe there, there are huge white sand beaches, warm sea and luxury hotels. Yes, Vietnam has become a tourist country with great potential, and every year it gets better and more beautiful. But you can relax in the country not all year round, but only some months and these are not summer months. Intrigued? Then let's see when it is better to relax in Vietnam, at what time of the year and where are the best resorts. And, of course, we will not forget about the islands, where holidays are always better.

rainy season in vietnam

Any country in Southeast Asia once a year experiences such a phenomenon as the rainy season. And Vietnam is no exception. Here also heavy rains, frequent typhoons and storm at sea. Fortunately for tourists, this does not last the whole year, but only half of it.

The wet season begins in May and lasts in different parts of the country until November-December. During this period, it rains almost continuously. It is almost always heavy rain accompanied by wind. Sometimes the rain turns into a typhoon and then many coastal cities are flooded, and there is water on the streets.

Beach season in Vietnam

After the rainy season ends, the dry season begins, which is called the beach season. This happens in November-December, and lasts dry beach season until the end of April. Although in May you can still swim here, because, as a rule, the rains begin to increase their power only by the beginning of summer.
The best months for a beach holiday are January, February and the first two months of spring. That is, tourists have at least four months to enjoy their holidays in the resorts of Vietnam.

Tourists love to come to the country to celebrate the New Year and Christmas here. Therefore, prices these days are slightly higher than the rest of the time. But most tourists are observed on the beaches of Vietnam in February and March. People miss the sun and the beaches, and want to start the beach season as soon as possible and relieve stress after a long autumn and cold winter.

Where is the best place to go on holiday in Vietnam?

There are many resorts in the country that will gladly accept tourists. Some of them are large, some are small fishing villages. But they are all beautiful and have gorgeous beaches.

Nha Trang is the number one resort in Vietnam.

Many tourists vacation in Nha Trang, but do not even know that this resort is located in Vietnam.

Nha Trang is a big resort. Everything is done here to make tourists feel comfortable: entertainment, parks, water parks, attractions, excursions, attractions and much more. Restaurants and cafes enjoy a special attraction in the resort. There are thousands of them and each institution offers a variety of food. It's no secret that tourists choose this particular resort not only because of the beaches and hotels, but also because of the food, which is considered the best in the country.

Excursions in Nha Trang are the most diverse. Here you can visit the island of monkeys, where, as you already know, monkeys live. You can visit the island, which is completely dedicated to the amusement park and entertainment. Nearby there is an island that is completely made into a farm. In general, in Nha Trang there are places to go and something to be surprised.

Phu Quoc - island vacation.
The second most popular resort in the country is Phu Quoc Island.

There are many beaches on the island, although, in fact, the entire coast of the island is one large beach. The sand on the beach is white and fine. It is better to walk barefoot on it, and the legs rest.
There is a pearl farm on the island where pearls are grown and made into jewelry. There is also a fish sauce factory and huge black pepper plantations.

In addition to the listed attractions, there is something else: an amazing undersea world. Scuba divers come here especially to dive under the water. Under water, you can see the underwater world with fish and plants, and most importantly: small flooded islands that keep many secrets.
Since Phu Quoc is an island, you can meet the dawn and see off the sunset on it. Believe me - it is here that these spectacles are the most vivid and unforgettable.

Muine is a modern fishing village.
Do you like fresh fish dishes? Then go to Mui Ne resort.

More recently, it was an ordinary fishing village, and people here lived poorly. And now the fishing village has become modern, and the inhabitants began to live better thanks to tourists. Local sailors catch a variety of fish in the ocean, sell it to tourists and rent it to restaurants. In any cafe, there are hundreds of fish dishes on the menu, and in order to try them all, you have to rest here for at least a month.
The village is located in a small bay and the wind often blows here. And if there is wind, then there are waves. And if there are waves, then there are surfers. Riding a board on the waves is a favorite pastime of locals and tourists after fishing. In the evenings at sunset in the sea, hundreds of surfers are trying to catch a wave.
True, there is a minus here - the resort is far enough from the airport, and after landing the plane, you will have to get to the hotel by transport on the ground for another 5-6 hours. But it's worth it, hardly anything can compare with the beauty and silence of the resort.

Da Nang - the history of the country in one place.
Da Nang resort is more visited by tourists who like sightseeing holidays rather than beach ones. The city has museums and exhibitions that keep the entire history of the country.
