Special forces companies of the airborne troops. Special forces of the Airborne Forces: history and structure. Addresses and mail

In Chechnya, the special forces of the Airborne Forces are well known. Just a rumor about his appearance forced the militants to abandon their positions and hastily leave. During the first Chechen war, Dudayev promised to pay a huge sum to anyone who could capture at least one fighter of the 45th regiment. But the award turned out to be unclaimed - not a single commando, either alive or dead, fell into the hands of the enemy.

The 45th regiment is one of the youngest units of the Russian army, it was formed on the basis of the 218th and 901st battalions special purpose celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. In the years" cold war"when the troops were preparing for a" fight on to the fullest", using weapons mass destruction, army special forces had to solve the corresponding tasks. These units were intended for deep reconnaissance and sabotage (primarily against nuclear facilities) behind enemy lines. And if necessary, they could ensure the landing of troops on enemy territory. Although Special Forces of the Airborne Forces was created after the end of the Cold War, it is fully prepared to solve such problems in the interests of Airborne Troops. But this is only one side of the coin.

non-lethal weapon
Since entering Soviet troops to Afghanistan, our armed forces are continuously involved in various wars and conflicts. So, by the time the formation of the 45th regiment began, airborne scouts accumulated a wealth of combat experience. And this experience, together with rethought foreign developments (a lot was borrowed from the British SAS, including the motto "The strongest wins"), was fully implemented when creating a new part. So the main task of the Special Forces of the Airborne Forces is to solve any problems in conditions local conflicts. In this sense, the 45th regiment is unique, the only unit in the Russian Armed Forces that has everything necessary for this. In addition to two special-purpose battalions, it includes a detachment of unmanned aircraft, the Psychological Operations Squad, and special detachment, staffed only by officers, ensigns and contractors, designed to solve extremely complex and especially responsible tasks. Including anti-terrorist ones. A sort of "mini-Alpha" for the destruction of terrorists at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense.
The purpose of psychological operations is to disorientate, demoralize the enemy, undermine faith in victory, and force him to end resistance. In addition, the population of the combat area, neutral or hostile, can be the object of psychological operations. Meaning psychological impact on the enemy was great all over military history, but especially it has increased in our information age. Especially in "low-intensity" conflicts, where there is no front line, and the definition of people on the basis of "friend or foe" can be very arbitrary. This is well understood, for example, by Americans who annually spend on " non-lethal weapon"Several times more than nuclear weapons. And this approach pays off. Take, for example, the actions of US troops in Panama and Haiti, where the forces of psychological operations played a decisive role.
The Russian Armed Forces are seriously lagging behind the West in these matters. The more valuable unique experience units of psychological struggle, created within the 45th regiment.
In addition to a field printing press and equipment with sound amplification equipment, the psychological operations unit has a television station capable of broadcasting and rebroadcasting programs within a radius of 10 km. There is a small studio where you can edit and sound a TV program. All equipment is located in GAZ-66 kungs, which ensures high mobility and efficiency of work. Thus, the detachment has serious opportunities to influence public opinion in the war zone.

What can special forces do?
But the core of the 45th regiment is, of course, spetsnaz units. In this sense, the part did not arise from scratch. The 218th and 901st special-purpose battalions brought into it already had considerable experience and brilliant victories behind them. So the fighters of the 218th battalion carried out the operation of "peace enforcement", which, in fact, put an end to the bloody Transnistrian conflict. The 901st battalion was stationed in Sukhumi just before the beginning of the Georgian-Abkhazian war, and immediately found itself in the very epicenter of the unfolding events. The paratroopers ensured the evacuation of refugees - mainly vacationers caught in the war.
But, fortunately, the special forces have the opportunity to prove themselves not only in such a dramatic environment. For several years in a row, at the international special forces competitions that take place in Bulgaria, the soldiers of the 45th regiment take first place, far leaving behind both the Green Berets and the SAS team.

Forge of universal soldiers
The main contingent of special forces battalions are conscripts. If a few years ago the officers of the regiment had the opportunity to choose the best among the conscripts, today the situation has changed. A quota has been set for the special forces of the Airborne Forces - up to 10% of the recruits sent to the regiment may have a criminal record. The officers of the regiment state that compared to previous years, recruits are less and less consistent with the level required for service in special forces. More recently, almost all recruits had sports ranks, then today there are only a few of them. Previously, almost every third had a higher or secondary technical education. And now a recruit with a completed secondary is already a gift.
But even from such problematic material, the regiment is made into a super-soldier in the full sense of the word. First of all, a recruit undergoes a series of psychological tests and physical tests here to determine his degree of readiness for service in special forces. Depending on his personal characteristics, his future military specialty is determined. For example, people who are calm, balanced and psychologically stable, phlegmatic, are the best suited to work as a sniper or a sapper. Some of the recruits are screened out immediately - they fall into support units, or are transferred to other units.
Then the training begins. To say that service in special forces is "not honey" is, in general, almost nothing to say. March throws are replaced by night shooting, flowing into tactical exercises, which end with facade climbing, or, say, sapper training. Not everyone can stand this rhythm either. As a result, after six months, no more than 40% of the “young” remain in spetsnaz companies: someone himself begins to ask for a transfer to another unit, someone is expelled by the commander. The vacancies that have arisen are filled by the best fighters of the airborne divisions. And by the end of the first year of service, the green “newbies” turn out to be competent fighters who are able to perform any task, who are fluent in weapons, means of communication and subversive equipment.
I must say that, despite the huge workload, those who want to get into the 45th are not getting smaller. Firstly, young guys are simply interested here. Secondly, the prestige of service in the special forces of the Airborne Forces is very high. And, thirdly, there is no "hazing" in its classical form. The officers of the regiment are convinced that human dignity and self-respect are necessary qualities commando, due to the specifics of his service, is obliged to take responsibility and show initiative. And the person is broken, psychologically depressed, for intelligence - ballast. And, finally, the very fact of serving in the 45th separate is an excellent recommendation for entering the service in other law enforcement agencies to work in the security service or security structure.

From Chechnya to Sokolniki
The precious combat experience accumulated by the regiment, as is usually the case with us, is almost not in demand. But the command of the regiment decides this issue on its own. Fortunately, the psychological operations detachment has its own printing house - the special forces print their own instructions and training manuals. In addition, a certain Training Center where not only paratroopers are trained.
Today, when full-scale fighting ceased in Chechnya, the role of special forces capable of effectively conducting raids, searches and other reconnaissance activities is increasing many times over. Consequently, the withdrawal of the 45th regiment from Chechnya is not expected in the foreseeable future.
Now the special forces operate as part of a combined detachment stationed in the mountainous part of the republic near the village of Khatuni. This place, where the Vedeno and Sharoargun gorges meet, has a very great importance. Therefore, the responsibility is great, and the range of tasks solved by the combined detachment is wide. In addition to the soldiers of the Special Forces of the Airborne Forces, it includes units of the FSB, special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Internal Troops and the Ministry of Justice. All have their own functions within the framework of a common task. Combat coordination begins even in preparation for the planned replacement, on the basis of the 45th regiment. The main emphasis is on tactical-special and fire training as well as life support issues. The loads are very significant - in three months of training, fighters lose from 5 to 8 kg of weight, despite the fact that they receive enhanced nutrition.
It is known that SOBRs and riot police in the Caucasus very often have to perform tasks that are not characteristic of them. As the experience of the "Khatuninsky" detachment shows, employees of police special forces, after joint training with their fellow paratroopers, successfully operate in emergency, "non-police" situations. In addition, having met and made friends before arriving in Chechnya, having worked out in detail all aspects of the upcoming operations, people act as a single team. Regardless of departmental subordination.
Part of the units of the regiment is stationed in Sokolniki in the barracks of the Preobrazhensky regiment. But not only this circumstance makes the special forces fight for the high honor of being officially called the "Preobrazhensky Regiment".
As you know, the Preobrazhensky Regiment was the first regiment of the regular army of Russia. And the 45th is also, in a sense, the first regiment of the Armed Forces of the future, which has yet to be created. This is both a completely new, comprehensive approach to solving problems, and a completely different attitude towards personnel, not like consumables but as professionals of great value. It is known that Peter I considered his "amusing" as the backbone of the future Russian army. A separate reconnaissance regiment of the Airborne Forces, like the old Preobrazhensky Regiment, became a forge of experienced special forces officers. Many of those who went through his school today serve in Alpha, Vympel, Omega, and other special forces of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, and the FPS. But along with this, officers who have served in the regiment for several years do not want to be transferred to other units, even though career opportunities in the regiment are very limited. Indeed, for many, he is the most real family, to break the connection with which they cannot and do not want to.
In part, there was a special psychological climate, whose leading values are absolute professionalism, corporatism, one might even say nepotism in the very good sense this word. This is best seen in the example of those who have retired. Those of them who managed to get a good job in life took on today material support fighting in Chechnya. Thanks to their "sponsorship", the commandos are probably best equipped in the group: jackets and trousers made of membrane fabrics, light warm sleeping bags, comfortable waterproof boots, modern optics and night vision devices, communications equipment.
But veterans of the regiment help not only with money. There was also such a case: by the winter of 1999, the time had come to replace the fighters who had been fighting in the Caucasus since the rebel invasion of Dagestan. But there was really no one to change. During the "interwar period" the regiment was reduced by one battalion, and most of personnel was in Chechnya. The situation is critical: you can’t send just called up and untrained soldiers to war?
Then, retired veterans of the regiment decided to "shake the old days" and help their native regiment. Leaving prestigious, highly paid places, signing semi-annual contracts, and forming its own special group, they went to the Caucasus. The first thing for them was the battle near Zandag, where the "veteran" group occupied an important height and repelled fierce enemy attacks for four hours. Thanks to the veterans, the regiment got the opportunity to be understaffed and qualitatively prepare a replacement.
For all ten years of its existence, the special forces of the Airborne Forces have not come out of wars. Transnistria, Abkhazia, Dagestan, both Chechen campaigns, Bosnia, Kosovo - not one armed conflict can do without the participation of fighters of the 45th separate. During this time, there was everything: the pennant of the Minister of Defense "for courage and military prowess" and five heroes of Russia from among the fighters of the regiment. There were, oddly enough, moments when various accusations were made against the unit.
But, in spite of everything, the regiment was, is and remains a true elite Russian Army. And in the second campaign, the special forces of the Airborne Forces showed themselves the best way. Dozens of destroyed gangs and discovered bases of militants, hundreds of weapons, kilograms of explosives and drugs seized from secret warehouses - all this was included in achievement list Separate reconnaissance. This combat unit now lives and develops solely thanks to the enthusiasm, and even the "quixoticism" of its officers. The result of their labors is a perfectly functioning combat organism, a universal tool for solving the most difficult tasks. A real regiment of the future.

Scouts of the 45th Separate Guards Order of Alexander Nevsky Special Purpose Regiment are true to the glorious combat traditions of the Airborne Forces and their motto: "The strongest wins!"

In April 2011, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the 45th Separate Guards Order of Alexander Nevsky Special Regiment appointment of the Airborne Forces first in recent history Russia was awarded the Order of Kutuzov. This high award the regiment was awarded for the successful completion of combat missions of the command and the courage and heroism shown by the personnel.

A report by a correspondent who was lucky enough to get into the location of a unit of the 45th Airborne Special Forces Brigade.

In the special forces random people no, they come here only of their own free will. At the same time, not everyone who has expressed a desire to become a special forces soldier is accepted into the special forces unit.

“The selection of future special forces from among the conscripts begins with the study of their personal files,” says lieutenant colonel Vladimir Fridlender, deputy commander of the brigade for work with personnel of the guard. - The officers of the brigade for this purpose specially go to the military registration and enlistment offices. If possible, already there, on the ground, with those young men who have expressed a desire to serve in the special forces, conversations are held, their moral and business qualities are studied, and the level of physical fitness is checked.

Before being called up to other units, recruits do not pass physical training standards. However, the 45th Special Forces Brigade of the Airborne Forces is a special unit, with much higher requirements for strength, speed, agility and endurance of a fighter.

As you know, conscripts in military registration and enlistment offices undergo psychological tests. However, upon arrival from the military registration and enlistment office to the 45th brigade, each recruit is tested again. It is extremely important to identify in advance the guys who are not up to the task of falling to the lot of a fighter of a special forces unit. After all, they will be able to master another military specialty in the Airborne Forces or another form or branch of the military Armed Forces. Rigid selection is in the interests of both conscripts, and the 45th brigade, and the army as a whole.

Productive selection for special forces is facilitated by the active interaction of the brigade command with the military-patriotic clubs of the country, especially with the main military-patriotic organization - DOSAAF of Russia. For example, in Belgorod region successfully preparing young men for service in the Airborne Forces, last year a whole company of the 45th brigade was completed by Belgorod graduates of the DOSAAF school.

Those wishing to enter the 45th airborne brigade under the contract, if before that they served in other airborne or airborne assault units, they know the requirements of the special forces "input control" from the very beginning, since the officers of the brigade, leaving for other units and formations of the winged guard, talk about them in detail. More difficult topics who comes from parts of other branches of the armed forces and types of the Armed Forces or from a "citizen".

Upon arrival at the brigade, the contract candidate passes physical training, then he is immediately escorted psychological testing. The main task when accepting physical training tests is to objectively reveal the possibilities and potential of the candidate. After exercises for speed (running 100 m), strength (pulling up on the bar) and endurance (3 km), three fights are held in sparring for three minutes. Here they are revealed volitional qualities: this is when the candidate, having missed a blow, falls, but then gets up and continues to fight to the end.

“There are quite a lot of cases when we have to report to the military enlistment office that the recommended candidate is not suitable for us,” Lieutenant Colonel Fridlender says with regret. - The military registration and enlistment offices should be more strict in the selection of candidates for our brigade.

Careful selection of personnel, a healthy moral situation in the brigade units and, of course, care from the state contribute to the fact that about 90 percent of contractors enter into repeated contracts.

Of the benefits - increased wages, taking into account various allowances (for the implementation of the parachute jumping program, for successful delivery standards of physical training, etc.), the possibility distance learning at Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov and other leading universities in Moscow, the right to a mortgage after the conclusion of the second contract. On average, an ordinary under a contract, having served for three years, receives 35-40 thousand rubles a month.

To serve in the special forces from year to year as a private or contract sergeant or an officer without a love for military craft is almost unrealistic. In addition, having fully experienced the hardships and hardships in training sessions, when you have to hide in an ambush for several days, and when performing combat missions, special forces groups become monolithic teams from which you don’t want to leave. Does the average young compatriot have many friends and acquaintances with whom you can go on reconnaissance? In the dominance of correspondence communication by phone, Skype or social networks, young people have forgotten how to not only be friends, but have forgotten how to communicate live. Getting into trouble, they may think about the value of friends who can rush to the rescue, especially if there are no such friends. And in the special forces group, everyone is ready to pull a wounded comrade out of hell or even lay down their lives for their friends.

And in general, the brigade is one family, where they never leave their own. And after being wounded, many are looking for a position, in every possible way helping to find a worthy and feasible job again. So it was, for example, with the cavalier of two Orders of Courage, ensign Vadim Selyukin, who lost his legs while performing a combat mission. Now he is the captain of the Russian Paralympic sledge hockey team.

Practice convinces: even the advanced technology of the 21st century will not completely replace ground-based deep reconnaissance, it will not diminish the possibilities and role

To heaven - with a "soft jellyfish"

In the special forces they jokingly say: “Arrived at the place - everything is just beginning”.

Ejection behind enemy lines by parachute is just one of the options for delivering scouts to the place of the mission. Of course, this method is not easy and requires concentration from the soldier when studying a set of actions called airborne training.

The brigade makes parachute jumps D-10, "Crossbow-1" and "Crossbow-2", and the last two systems have a planning dome-"wing" Landing by parachute in the special forces of the Airborne Forces is taught on any surface: field, forest, roof of a building , a pond ... Jumps are made during the day, at night and in difficult weather conditions. Therefore, airborne training in the 45th brigade is one of the main subjects of training. Combat training begins with her as an ordinary paratrooper, as well as a commando of the Airborne Forces.

- Airborne training includes the study of materiel - a parachute and safety devices, packing a parachute and classes at an airborne complex, where elements of a jump, actions in the air, preparation for landing and the landing itself are practiced, - explains the deputy brigade commander for airborne training Guard Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Rekun.

Recruits, as well as those who decided to link their fate with the special forces of the Airborne Forces, signed a contract, but had never jumped with a parachute before, they are preparing for the first jump for two weeks.

The laying of the D-10 parachutes takes place in 6 stages, the paratroopers lay the parachute together, the dynamics of the laying is controlled by the commanders of the units and the officer of the Air Force. At each stage, triple control is mandatory, almost like in the preparation of an astronaut. There is no room for error, because in the air a person will be alone and there will be no one to tell him anything there.
Of the two parachute systems used by the brigade, the D-10 is easier to stow and operate in the air. The technique of preparing for jumping with this parachute has long been worked out.

- A soldier, leaving the aircraft, has a neutral canopy, that is, a parachute that does not move horizontally or (in the wind) almost does not move, - Lieutenant Colonel Rekun explains to the guards. – Accordingly, the paratrooper's drop point differs little from the landing point: it is a vertical. By and large, nothing depends on the parachutist: where he was thrown, there he will land.

"Crossbow" has a different quality. From a kilometer of height, you can go 4-5 km to the side, using only TTX parachute, at full calm. At strong wind a paratrooper from a kilometer height will be able to move away from the drop point by 6–7 km.

D-10 is designed for mass landing. And any special forces soldier first masters self-control in the air on this parachute.

In the future, according to the instructions of the commander of the Airborne Forces, Hero of Russia, Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov, after 25 jumps on the D-10, the serviceman is allowed to operate the Crossbow. At the same time, at least seven jumps must be long.

“Preparation for jumping with Arbalet-2 lasts about 20 days,” says Oleg Dmitrievich. - Special Forces soldiers study materiel in a new way, learn to pack a parachute and master airborne operations on the airborne complex.

Owning "Crossbow" in the 45th brigade as much as it should be. There are virtuosos among them. From a height of about 4000 m, they flew, planning, for 17 kilometers. Currently, pilot operation of oxygen equipment is being carried out, which in the future, when put into service, will allow landing from a height of more than 4 km. Accordingly, the planning distance will also increase.

“In addition to the Arbalet-1, the brigade also has the Arbalet-2 parachute system, which is easier to operate,” Lieutenant Colonel Rekun continues the story of the guard. - A stabilizing system is rigidly mounted on it, which works automatically, which guarantees the parachutist who has left the plane or helicopter, in case of emergency, rotation only in the horizontal plane. Random falling with vertical rotation is thus excluded.

But on the "Arbalet-1" instead of the stabilizing system, the so-called " soft jellyfish”, which the parachutist puts into action himself, after which the opening of the main parachute begins. And for jumping on the "Crossbow-1" a soldier needs to be prepared even longer, taking into account the fact that the paratrooper is thrown out with weapons, equipment and cargo containers.

Troop trials parachute system"Crossbow-2" took place on the basis of the 45th brigade. In the equipment of each specialty that is in the Airborne Forces, taking into account the characteristics of its weapons and equipment, they made at least 10 jumps. That is, the special forces dressed either as signalmen, or as sappers, or as grenade launchers, etc. There were fewer people in the selected group than there were specialties. As a result, each during the tests performed about 180 jumps. Well, the unconditional record holders are members of the non-standard sports parachute team of the formation. It consists of four Honored Masters of Sports, one of them has already made more than 11 thousand jumps.

The combat training program requires each member of the special forces brigade to complete at least 10 jumps per year. "Crossbowmen" jump with their parachutes, the rest - from the D-10. The tasks involved are very different.

Without noise and fire

In the 45th brigade, the unit commanders insistently remind the fighters: "Where shooting begins, reconnaissance ends there". Especially deep. It is the collection of intelligence that is the main task of special forces groups. Quietly, observing the rules of camouflage, detecting an object without noise and shots, transmitting its coordinates and leaving in the same silent way - this is the spetsnaz handwriting.

However, today it is possible to detect the desired object of the enemy with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles or from satellites. Can the advanced technology of the 21st century replace ground-based deep reconnaissance?

– Absolutely unlikely. Firstly, a special-purpose group will still direct strike weapons at a number of strategic facilities, ”said Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Seliverstov, deputy commander of the 45th brigade, Hero of Russia Guards. - Secondly, after air operations and artillery preparation, a ground operation will still begin, where special forces will be involved in the first place, which will have sabotage and ambush operations. Special forces always work targeted...

- AT last years the list of tasks assigned to the special forces has increased significantly, - continues Vladimir Vyacheslavovich. “Some I never thought before that they would become ours.

Basic qualities of a paratrooper

The expansion of the range of tasks affects the content of combat training, it is changing. However, the main basis of the special forces has been and remains unchanged. This, according to the deep conviction of the Guard Lieutenant Colonel Seliverstov, is discipline. Fire, physical, tactical-special, engineering training in relation to discipline is a superstructure. With insufficient, for example, tactical and special training, special forces are bad. In the absence of discipline, there is no special forces at all.

“Discipline,” says the deputy brigade commander, “is accuracy, punctuality in everything: in time, place and actions.

In the 45th separate guards brigade discipline is not stick - conscious. Including because every commando knows that violators are not kept in this part. As the commander of the brigade Hero of Russia Guards Colonel Vadim Pankov later explained

A serviceman who has to be punished for misconduct should not and will not serve in the 45th Special Purpose Brigade.

Another quality that a special forces officer must possess is initiative, a willingness to make decisions.

The principles of teaching are known: from theory to practice, from simple to complex. Workshops held in different areas day and night. A spetsnaz soldier spends at least half of his working time in the field.

Traditions and innovations of the Airborne Forces

Of the new weapons in the brigade - BTR-82A, drones and something else. Everything is in perfect working order.

“What was in the 45th regiment ten years ago and what has appeared now is heaven and earth,” Lieutenant Colonel Seliverstov, who served in the 45th “economy” for 15 years, ascertains the guards.

When in the early 2000s the unit solved problems in the Caucasus, the officers invested personal funds in the equipment of the fighters, Vladimir Vyacheslavovich recalls. Now clothing property and equipment personnel provided completely.

“The equipment is very decent,” notes the deputy brigade commander. - Of course, there is no limit to perfection, but even now a fighter, for example, has a choice of uniforms, taking into account weather conditions, which allows both the task to be completed and health to be maintained. The same can be said about nutrition. In clothing and food security shifts are noticeable to anyone.

Episodes of recent history

  • In August 2008, the personnel of the brigade participated in the operation to force Georgia to peace.
  • At that time, the story of the capture of off-road vehicles that the Americans supplied to the Georgian army received a great response. So, these trophies are on the account of the special forces of the Airborne Forces.
  • In April 2010, the battalion tactical group of the brigade ensured the safe evacuation of our fellow citizens, including members of the families of military personnel and civilian personnel, due to unrest on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
  • In the spring of 2014, the personnel of the brigade, as part of a separate reconnaissance detachment, took part in the operation to return Crimea to Russia.
  • The names of 14 Heroes of Russia are inscribed in the annals of the 45th brigade. Four of them continue to serve in this glorious unit. Five servicemen of the 45th brigade were awarded three Orders of Courage.

On the arrival in Novoazovsk of special forces from the 45th ObrSpN of the Airborne Forces of the RF Armed Forces.

“The transfer to the settlement was confirmed. Novoazovsk units of the 45th Separate Special Purpose Brigade (Kubinka, Moscow Region) of the Airborne Troops of the RF Armed Forces, in connection with which it is expected to intensify the sabotage and reconnaissance activities of the Russian occupation forces in the Mariupol direction, ”the intelligence report said.

In June 2016, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine named several names of Russian servicemen from the 45th Brigade Special Forces of the Airborne Forces of the RF Armed Forces, providing their photographs and personal data. At the same time, the scouts, as always, limited themselves to only words without any photo or video evidence of the presence of military personnel in the occupied part of Donbass. We hope that such evidence will be declassified in the future, and these materials will be presented to the general public and will be reflected in the cases. international court.

In the meantime, this has not happened, the InformNapalm team presents its information about the presence of Russian saboteurs from the 45th Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the RF Armed Forces in Ukraine.

The photo uploaded on 08/31/2016 and subsequently deleted was taken on the roof of the building of the Utes boarding house, 3 km from the settlement Shirokino (47.109467, 37.8733277).

It should be noted that this boarding house, as well as the Parus and Donchanka nearby, have long been not places of rest for civilians, but barracks and positions of Russian “vacationers” who constantly come on “Ukrainian business trips”.

In the photo below, Mikhail Rusinov measures the depth Sea of Azov near the recreation center of the KKTs combine them. Ilyich "Alexandria" (settlement Bezymennoe) (47.101058, 37.934254).

And in June 2016, he even met with local representatives of the opposite sex in the settlement. Khreschatitskoye (former Krasnoarmeiskoye) Novoazovsky district. The dating site apparently finally helped (47.233526, 37.926393).

Thus, we can state that representatives of the 45th ObrSpN are directly involved in hostilities in the Donbass. Let's not forget that the same unit was directly involved in the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. As you can see, since 2014 it has been carrying out sabotage and reconnaissance operations in the occupied part of Donbass.

Material prepared

At the end of February 2000, two groups of special forces of the Airborne Forces, reinforced by two groups of Vympel, received the task of taking the heights near the village of Zana and pulling out a battalion of paratroopers on them. The operation was led by the Chief of Staff of the 45th Airborne Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Alexei Romanov.

We climbed the mountains all day long. For the night we stopped between the hills, on which our blocks were. The night was hellish: snow, blizzard and hard frost. At the infantry sitting on the heights, four soldiers froze to death. The morning was also hellish - when we moved on, the snow was chest-deep. We went to the limit of our capabilities, taking turns breaking the road.

Trampled one ten meters- and the next one goes forward with fresh forces. And so 27 kilometers. February 28, finally got to Sharoargun - fast mountain river. We stopped at an altitude of 1381. Further - too steep mountains. Having climbing equipment, the special forces would have climbed them, but the battalion would not have been able to follow them later. Romanov and the group commanders went on reconnaissance closer to the river and found "spirits".

The shootout was fleeting - the "spirits" did not understand from where they were being hit. On February 29, an order from the command post of the Airborne Forces did not give an order to continue the journey: the groups were given the task of gaining a foothold at a height. Just at that time, the 6th company of the Pskov Airborne Division fought against the many times superior enemy forces. The shooting that did not stop all day was well heard, but what exactly was happening, they did not yet know. On the night of March 1, when the battle was still going on, a new order was received: to leave in a northerly direction. We went out - and soon ran into the enemy. Fire contact took place at a considerable distance, but the militants nevertheless turned back.

As it will become known later from the stories of the prisoners, in the area of the Argun Gorge, about two and a half thousand militants gathered under the command of Khattab to move east. Through Kirov-Yurt, Tsa-Vedeno, Kurchali and Nozhai-Yurt, the bandits went to Dagestan to launch large-scale military operations there. When all this Wolf Pack began to move, the forests between Ulus-Kert and Selmentauzen were simply teeming with militants, with whom the 6th company, special forces and others fought in different places. Main blow taken over by the Pskovites.

Khattab himself led the battle against them, Basayev was also here, who was carried on a stretcher ... On the morning of March 1, when the fighting subsided everywhere, the special forces received the task of reaching Hill 776, where the company died. According to aerial reconnaissance, the militants took away the bodies of the dead paratroopers. They had to be stopped. On the other hand, about 100 paratroopers advanced to Hill 776 for the same purpose.

As a result, it turned out that the "spirits" really took away the corpses, but only their own. There were so many of them that the bandits had no time for the fallen paratroopers. About thirty of the killed militants, slightly sprinkled with earth, remained abandoned. Judging by the rugs and inscriptions, they were Arabs. The Chechens took theirs. The entire height was plowed up with artillery - dying, the landing force caused fire on itself.

It was not possible to pick up the dead that day from the height. It was reported from the headquarters that another 1,500 “spirits” were on the way, the advanced patrol of which, judging by the radio intercepts, was already seeing the paratroopers. I had to retreat and take up defense on one of the nearby heights.

The commandos patiently waited, subduing for the time being a terrible desire for revenge, and then they accurately aimed artillery at the gang walking through the mountains. The militants stretched along the wooded slopes, trying to keep their disguise, only occasionally illuminated their way with flashlights and called to each other, imitating the hoot of an eagle owl.

It did not help - only a mess of human bodies remained from the gang. There was a stench in the Midulkhan tract even two months later. In the meantime, the battalions themselves went to the Zans, and the scouts set off on their way back. The exit on the assignment for three days stretched as a result to nine. Having entered into battle with the "spirits" also in the area of Mount Pithailan and destroyed the captured "Cliff", the paratroopers finally returned to the camp.

Until Tsa-Vedeno, whose inhabitants, according to the FSB, took 500 (according to the number of militants) bags of meat and bread to the mountains, only one in five "spirits" reached at best. More than 70 militants entrenched in Selmentauzen, abandoned by the inhabitants, will surrender a little later, after negotiations. Another four dozen militants will try to escape to the east through the forests, but they will stumble directly into an ambush set up by special forces, and everyone will die. The special forces did not have losses in these operations ...

Most of the unfinished militants, having buried their weapons, have now settled in the villages. Terrorists who have shaved off their beards are not afraid of any special operations. All, except maybe Khattab and Basayev and a few dozen other "thugs" hiding in mountain caves, have Russian passports issued in accordance with all the rules.

At the beginning of spring, many feared for good reason that the greenery would bloom and there would be no peace from saboteurs. But that did not happen. Why? At least part of the answer to this question is in one of the special forces tents, where samples of trophies mined in the mountains were waiting for the visit of the commander of the Airborne Forces for several months.

In the spring alone, the fighters of the special forces regiment of the Airborne Forces destroyed so many caches and bases that more than one battalion could be equipped with their contents. Particularly rich booty was taken 7 kilometers south of Khatun. A well-camouflaged base near the Bass River was given out wooden toilets. Everything else - containers with weapons, ammunition, provisions, as well as sleeping quarters for 200-300 militants - were underground.

They found hundreds of overcoats, cotton uniforms, 82-mm mines, shots for RPGs, AGS and even a 73-mm cannon, as well as another 600 kg of smelted TNT, a lot of products and religious literature. And in the grottoes were two armored personnel carriers-80 and GAZ-66. For two days the scouts blew up this stuff. However, one of the armored personnel carriers covered with Arabic script reached the camp on its own and will now serve as special forces.

As early as January 6, 1995, the 45th OrpSpN, together with the USO FSK, occupied the complex of buildings of the STI.1 At that moment, the regiment was engaged in fighting snipers2, so it can be assumed that similar events were planned and carried out in the Council of Ministers area. Howbeit, on the morning of January 8 soldiers of the 2nd and 3rd companies of the 218 Special Forces left the area of the cannery. The special forces were advanced in at least three groups. Near 11:30 they came under mortar fire3 on Oktyabrskaya Street4 (besides this street, other places were also named - Hospitalnaya Street and etc. Revolution between the State Tax Inspectorate and the Council of Ministers5).

1st group: 3rd company 218 obspn

senior lieutenant Vladimir Vitalievich Palkin
Sergeant Valery Afonchenkov
Private Yuri Khazov
Sergei Babin and others.

Sergeant Valery Afonchenkov from the 3rd company of the 218 Special Forces: “On that day we went to storm the Council of Ministers. And before the throw through the open area, Lieutenant Zelenkovsky sent me earlier, and left Sergei [Tumaev] with him. I told them that I would go nowhere without them I won’t go, but they don’t argue with the commanders. I managed to run to the building with the first group, and they were a little delayed. Then there were explosions, both near us and there, but we still didn’t know that the whole group was covered. "6

Private Yuri Khazov from the 3rd company of the 218 Special Forces: “We rushed across the square and hid in the basement. The shelling was such that it seemed that the whole building would collapse on us, everything was shaking. : waiting for the end of the mortar attack. Then the connection with the group was interrupted. After a while, another group of paratroopers reported on the radio that they were covered with mines. The operation was canceled, and we returned. "7

2nd group: 2nd company 218 obspn

senior lieutenant Sergey Nikolaevich Romashenko
Lieutenant Andrei Andreevich Avramenko
lieutenant Igor Nikolaevich Chebotarev
ensign Dmitry Vitalievich Lakota
Sergeant Maxim Nikolaevich Kislichko
contract sergeant Alexander Yurievich Polikarpov
Private Sergei Petrovich Putyakov
Private Evgeny Alexandrovich Wenzel
captain Andrey Viktorovich Zelenkovsky from the 3rd company of the 218 obSpN
private Sergei Vladimirovich Tumaev from the 3rd company 218 obSpN
lieutenant Vladimir Mikhailovich Artemenko from 218 about Special Forces

From the description of the battle: “Romashenko’s unit was moving behind Palkin’s group. Suddenly, the words of Sergei [Romashenko] cut through the air: “A strong mortar shelling has begun, let me wait!” Romashenko did not get in touch again. was severely shell-shocked, but managed to report the situation to the command and managed the unit to the last. "8

Major Sergey Ivanovich Shavrin from the USO FSK: "They had to overcome the area, and at that time the first test mine flew in, then a series of four ... One hit our anti-aircraft installation"Tunguska", the ammunition detonated, three officers serving the installation were killed at once. Behind the Tunguska, a dozen and a half fully armed soldiers were hiding. Plastite, flamethrowers began to burst. Eight people died immediately, the rest died of wounds. Paratrooper senior lieutenant Igor Chebotarev went with us as the commander of an armored personnel carrier. That day he was in this group. Both of his legs were blown off, and the officer bled to death."9

According to Private Tumaev's mother, an armored personnel carrier was hit at the place of the death of the group, the fuel from which began to flow out and burn10.

Group 3 (so far only version!)

Major Alexander A. Skobennikov
radio operator
Perhaps in the same group were senior lieutenant Konstantin Mikhailovich Golubeev and private Vladimir Vitalievich Kareev from 901 special forces, who died on January 8.11

Major Alexander A. Skobennikov from the 45th special forces detachment: "I myself barely survived. We advanced to The New Frontier. They moved in small groups - three people each. Let's run across the open space, gather in some gateway or in a backyard and forward again. The radio operator followed me. I hear you scream. I returned to him, he was sitting among the broken bricks and groaning - he had sprained his leg. While he was taking off his shoe, he was adjusting the dislocation - there was an explosion ahead. We went ahead - a funnel. As it turned out, the guys were hung with explosives and "Bumblebees", and all this detonated from a mine explosion. If the radio operator had not stumbled, then we would have ended up with the guys in this funnel ... "12

Identification and evacuation of the dead

Deputy commander of the 901 Special Forces, Lieutenant Colonel V. Lozovoy: "After the end of the mortar raid [ around 14:00 hours 13], an additional group of the 901st battalion and one of the combined arms units with a detachment of the first medical care. After inspecting the area, all the wounded and dead were taken to the collection point on the territory of the 2nd city hospital. "14

Sergeant V. Afonchenkov from the 3rd company of the 218 Special Forces: “Then there was an identification of the corpses, or rather what was left of them. Two were missing and one could not be identified. There were no Zelenkovsky, Tumaev and Wenzel. buried, then this is not so. The funeral was fictitious, with an empty coffin - so that the mothers would pay the insurance. Me and Yura Khazov and another from our group [Sergey Babin] had to identify the remaining corpse. And we identified it. It was the remains of Sergei [ Tumaev]."15

Private Yu. Khazov from the 3rd company of the 218 Special Forces: “When the remains were unloaded at the cannery, we recognized everyone except for three bodies. Then two more were identified, and one was taken to Mozdok unidentified. The body was completely burned, except for a small piece on back. In the burnt remnants of clothes lying around here, Valera and I found a piece of a sweater that was on Seryoga. And I also noticed one detail that no one paid attention to - from the day of the call, it struck me that Sergey had one from the upper teeth exactly split off half.<...>It was on this very tooth that I drew attention to the burnt skull. We also saw Sergei's weapon - a piece of twisted metal, but he never let go of it. "16 (Subsequently, a tag with the name of Wenzel was attached to Tumaev's body by mistake. has been missing since then.)

Losses in 218 revs

Major S.I. Shavrin from the USO FSK: "In a few days of fighting in one of the companies of the 45th Airborne Regiment, three people out of twenty-seven who entered Grozny remained."18

"Four people remained unharmed in Vladimir [Palkin's] company. All the officers went out of action, only two survived."19
