How to find a parcel by Russian Post tracking number

Parcels of the Russian Post are located at postal number tracking. Tracking numbers for domestic shipments contain 14 digits, starting with the postal code of the sender or the office that issued the parcel. For example, if the parcel was sent from Moscow from the Russian Post office on Shelepikhinskaya Embankment with the index 123290, then the departure code will look like 12329000000000. International parcels processed by the Russian Post can be tracked by a standardized 13-digit code, typical for international shipments for postal services around the world. ZA..LV, ZA..HK parcel tracking

This type of parcels differs from other international shipments in that these parcels are circulated according to a simplified system thanks to the cooperation of the Russian Post with the most popular online store of Russian citizens - Aliexpress. Thanks to this cooperation, the procedure for processing parcels with Aliexpress was simplified, making the shipment faster and cheaper. Such parcels have a tracking code like ZA000000000LV, ZA000000000HK.

ZJ..HK parcel tracking

Parcels with a track code starting with ZJ are parcels of purchases made by Russians from the Joom online store. Just like in the case of Aliexpress, Joom has entered into a partnership with the Russian Post, thereby reducing the cost of delivering parcels from Joom, as well as significantly speeding up the shipping process itself from registration to shipping time.

Joom parcels during tracking can have one of three statuses:

  • Package sent
  • Parcel arrived at the branch
  • Parcel received by addressee

Tracking parcels from China

Postal parcels from China may not have complete information about the location of the parcel, but the most important information you will have on hand. The main stages of tracking will be available to you, and this is the most important thing. Parcels from China pass through postal centers in Latvia and Hong Kong along the way, which is why the letters LV and HK are assigned at the end of the track code, and not CN.

What should I do if I can't track the package?

There may be several reasons why the track number may not be tracked. Most of these causes are easily resolved, and sometimes do not need a special solution. The main reasons why the parcel is not tracked by track number:

  1. Not enough time has passed since the parcel was sent and the number has not yet entered the database. Sometimes it happens that the track number is not tracked up to 10 days from the day the parcel was sent. The main thing here is to be patient and wait until the package starts to be traced in the system.
  2. Tracking number is incorrect. In this case, you need to check the track number again with the seller or sender. Also check the spelling of the number. Perhaps you made a mistake when copying or when dialing a number on the keyboard.

In any case, you should not worry, although the reasons why the track code is not tracked are not limited to those listed, there is always a solution. As a rule, all parcels reach the addressee, and in extreme cases, you can always open a dispute in the online store and you will be refunded the money spent.

After paying for the purchase in the Joom online store, the client only has to wait for the goods to arrive at the specified address. In order for the buyer to know exactly how quickly his package will arrive, Joom offers to track its location, but not by the order number, but by the track code, receipt or departure number. Let's deal with tracking parcels and find out if it is possible to find an order by code using other services.

Where is the package - one of effective services tracking shipments by tracking number.

If the track number is present on the product card, you can try to locate it yourself. This is possible through services on third-party sites or through mobile applications. Let's consider some of them in more detail.

  • " My package"Is a service that determines the status of shipments from more than a hundred courier and postal services, including EMS, SF Express, China Post, etc. Registering on the site allows you to receive SMS about changing the location of shipments.
  • "Where is the parcel" - performs cross-checking on several tracking services at once, cooperates with 163 postal and courier deliveries. Where the package is considered the largest and most effective search engine.
  • Russian Post - helps track orders whose track numbers begin with the letters R, C, E, V and L (only international registered mail).

Also in the collections of similar programs there are other popular options for similar services - the application "Parcels", Track24, ParcelApp, etc.

Delivery terms

According to the Joom administration, usually the client receives his package within 2-3 weeks, regardless of whether it is tracked or not. But according to the rules of the service, the delivery time of the goods is 75 days, during which the protection of the order lasts.

Possible delays may be due to public holidays, during which sellers do not have time to complete and send all the purchased items.

How to pick up a parcel?

No time to pick up the parcel? Order home delivery.

The postman will drop small parcels with Jum into the client's mailbox. Other purchases can be picked up at the institution's branch or paid for delivery to the address.

To receive a shipment at the post office, you must provide the employee with a notice or a tracking number, which is indicated on the goods card on Joom. You must have proof of identity (passport of the Russian Federation) with you.

Before signing any documents (as a rule, a postal employee asks to write a phrase about the absence of claims on the back of the notice), it is recommended to open the shipment and check the quality of the products.

Home delivery can be arranged using the telephone number indicated in the notice. The service costs from 240 rubles per shipment. Residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg can arrange home delivery through the website of the Russian Post or through the appropriate application for smartphones.

Tracking Issues

Sometimes there is no track code in the product card or the number does not work - it is impossible to track the parcel. This happens for a number of reasons:

  1. The seller used the so-called "virtual" code, which is tracked only in China. Once a purchase crosses a border, it becomes impossible to find its location on the product card or with the help of other services.
  2. The purchase was sent by EMS China or its division - ePacket, which also makes it difficult to track on the territory of the Russian Federation. In this case, other services can help the buyer.
  3. The seller did not indicate that he sent the goods.

These circumstances should not cause concern to the buyer - the purchase will arrive at the post office within the specified period.

If you still have problems with delivery and within 75 days the goods have not arrived at the post office, you should contact the support service:

  1. Find in the profile folder "My Orders" a purchase that has not arrived within 75 days.
  2. In response to the question about receiving, click "No".
  3. Enter the address in the field that appears Email.
  4. Wait for a response from the support team.

You can dispute the order and send a request for a refund for non-delivery only on the 75th day from the moment of payment, while the purchase protection lasts. Within 24 hours, the store administration will confirm the application and return the funds to the buyer.

You can only find out how to contact the seller on Joom if the buyer is unhappy with the product and wants to send it back.

Such applications are accepted within 30 days after receiving the parcel in the mail. In this case, the cost of return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Conclusion

At first glance, such a task as tracking packages from China may seem daunting. But using detailed instructions and the help of services that determine the location of the postal item, any buyer can easily find out where his parcel is.

This article is devoted to the work of China's national postal operator - China Post. The main focus of the article is a description of the work of China Post from the point of view of a buyer in China's online stores. Only issues related to sending and tracking international mail are considered. The factors affecting the speed of delivery of international mail from China are also described.

The first mention of postal services in China dates back to the time of the Shan Dynasty in the second millennium BC. In his modern form China Post has been around since 1949. China Post became part of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1914.

China Post is state enterprise and the national postal operator of the People's Republic of China both in terms of providing services for the receipt, delivery and issuance of domestic mail, and for the delivery of international mail.

At present, the infrastructure of China Post has more than 82,000 post offices and more than 230 mail processing and sorting centers throughout the country. The postal staff is about 860 thousand employees.

The largest sorting centers for international mail in China are located in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The first two are the largest and most modern. As a rule, sorting in these centers occurs relatively quickly. The situation is reversed with sortings in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Here, the processing of international mail is slower. In addition, the main flow of export mail goes through the international airports of Beijing and Shanghai. This should be taken into account when making purchases. Usually sellers and online stores do not hide in which provinces their warehouses are located and where they ship from.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the process of processing and sending mail. Like many postal services in the world, China Post allows you to process the shipment remotely. Those. the seller can arrange the shipment and get a tracking number for it without leaving home. In this case, the buyer can receive a track number literally an hour after the payment is made.

Some sellers arrange sending offline - at post offices. Naturally, in this case, it may take several days from the moment of payment for the order to the moment of dispatch.

Large firms selling on various trading floors in China or online stores stand apart in this matter. Due to the huge volume of orders, they use the services of various logistics services, which are essentially an intermediary between the store and the post office and perform only one function - the delivery of parcels prepared for dispatch to the post office and the processing of these items.

After receiving the parcel directly by China Post, it goes through standard sorting, customs clearance and preparation for export. Next, the export itself is performed, i.e. physical sending of a parcel from China in the direction of the recipient's country. This can be both direct delivery and transit delivery (read more about this in the "Peculiarities of shipments from China" section)

Since China is a member of the Universal Postal Union, the work of the national postal operator China Post is also regulated by UPU standards, according to which, items weighing up to 20 kg can be accepted for sending by regular mail, and up to 31 kg using EMS.

All international postal items (IGOs) from China, according to the principles of UPU, are divided into two main categories:

  • Parcels(over 2 kg)
  • small packages(up to 2 kg)

MPOs are also divided into:

  • Registered(with traceability)
  • Unregistered(without traceability)

Parcels, as well as any shipments via EMS China Post, are always registered shipments, but small packages can be either registered or unregistered.

Registered IGOs in China are assigned a unique 13-digit tracking number, which can be used to control the movement of IGOs from the sender to the recipient using China Post tracking services, tracking services of postal operators of destination countries, or independent tracking services.

The tracking number for registered small packages always starts with a letter R(Registered).

Parcel tracking number starts with a latin letter C.

Number for EMS tracking departures begin with a Latin letter E.

The last 2 letters in the tracking number indicate the country in which the shipment is accepted for shipment. For China, if sent via China Post, all tracking numbers will end with Latin letters CN.

Examples of tracking numbers:

RA123456785CN- small package

CD123456785CN- package

EE123456785CN- sending by EMS

You can learn more about the structure of international tracking numbers in a separate article on tracking issues.

Often, when shopping in online stores in China, we see an offer free shipping around the world. But here you should not think that China Post works for free and does not charge money for delivery from the sender. The whole "secret" lies in the fact that the seller simply takes into account the cost of the postage in the cost of the goods. But the tariffs for sending international mail in China are just not high. The basic rate for sending a small package up to 100g to European countries is only 18 yuan. And another 15 yuan is taken for every additional 100 g of weight.

For reference: 1 US dollar ≈ 6.1 yuan

After exporting a shipment from China, it is already advisable to carry out tracking on the websites of the national postal operators of the country of destination.

According to the rules of the Universal Postal Union, international postal items can be delivered from the country of origin of the item to the country of receipt in transit through third countries. Naturally, the country of departure tries to minimize the cost of transporting mail and, if possible, uses the carrying capacity of the mail in the forward direction. But with an increase in the overall flow of postal exports, the question arises of a sufficient number of direct transport links between countries. If we are talking about air shipments (and they are the majority), then the possibility of direct delivery will depend on the load of aircraft on direct flights and on the very number of such flights.

If there are still opportunities for direct mail from China to Russia, then for sending to Ukraine and Belarus, in recent times, such opportunities are almost exhausted and a very large number of shipments are delivered in transit.

Let's briefly consider how this happens. For example, there is a parcel from China to Ukraine (or Belarus). The parcel goes through customs in China and is cleared for export. But on the next direct flight, it cannot be loaded due to lack of free space in the luggage compartment of the aircraft. In this case, there may be two scenarios. The first - the parcel will wait for a few more days for the possibility of direct shipment. Second - it will be sent in transit, say through Europe. In this case, the parcel can get, for example, to Frankfurt Airport. There she will be sorted and will also continue to wait for a free seat on a flight to Ukraine. And if it is not there, it can be sent in transit again, say to Hungary, Austria or some other European country, where the same sorting procedure will happen to her with the search for an empty seat on a flight to Ukraine. Naturally, such transit only increases the delivery time of the parcel, although with properly organized logistics and the availability of carrying capacities on flights, a postal item can visit all major European airports within only 2-3 days.

We will consider how transit is displayed in the track number statuses a little later.

China Post statuses when tracking international mail.

Main:

  • Collection, 收寄局收寄 (Acceptance) - Acceptance of a mail item by China Post.
  • Opening- Arrived at the transit point. There may be several statuses.
  • Dispatching, 出口总包互封封发 - Shipment processing, preparation for export.
  • Departure from outward office of exchange, 出口总包直封封发 (Total export package) - The parcel has passed customs clearance and is sent for export.

Additional and transit statuses:

NULL- this status is worth mentioning separately, because It is he who causes the most questions from users. In fact, this is not even the status of the departure at all, but an indication that the status affixed by China Post simply does not have a translation into English language in this tracking system. The fact is that the procedure for processing export mail in China is somewhat different from the generally accepted one by the presence of additional steps and actions. So that the mail is not accused of a long send, China Post introduced several additional statuses, but during internal system they are recorded on Chinese. There is simply no English translation. Therefore, when displaying statuses, we first see the word NULL (as a designation for the absence of a transfer) and only then the departure status itself, indicated by hieroglyphs. They can be different and denote different actions. Google translate usually helps to read what these hieroglyphs mean without any problems. For example:

  • 已收到, PVG(has been received) - The package has been received by Pudong Airport (Shanghai Airport) for dispatch.
  • 启运, PVG- Start shipment at Pudong Airport.

And the status entry itself will look like this: NULL, 已收到, PVG, RU

Three Latin letters The s after the hieroglyphs denoting status are the international designation of the airport at which the operation took place . Three-letter encoding international airports can be viewed on the IATA website. To do this, in the top drop-down menu Search by, select the Location code value, in the bottom field enter the three-letter designation of the airport and click the Search button. In the field that appears below you will see the name of the city and the name of the airport.

The last two Latin letters in the status are the designation of the country of the recipient of the shipment. In our example, RU is Russian Federation. For Ukraine, the letters UA will stand accordingly, for Belarus - BY.

When delivered in transit through third countries, the statuses will be displayed in the same way, but the code of the airport where this status was affixed will change. For example: NULL, 启运, FRA, RU

Please note that shipment statuses with a NULL value are only displayed when tracking in Chinese systems tracking, or when using specialized programs. Only the main statuses will be displayed on the Russian Post website - receiving and exporting.

Often there are cases when the export status appears in the tracking systems, but the shipment is still physically located in China. And again it can get to some kind of sorting center. There, the mail container prepared for shipment will be disbanded, a new sorting will take place, and the mail container will be formed again and prepared for export. In this case, a second export status may appear in tracking systems (see example in the figure).

Every postal service in the world has peak periods when mail is at its limit. As a rule, these are national holidays. There is also a globally difficult period common to all services of the world - this new year holidays. Moreover, delays in delivery begin from the end of November - the beginning of December, and more or less the work of the postal departments returns to normal only by the end of January. During this period, there are very large delays in delivery, which can reach 2-3 months. Separately, it is worth noting the celebration in China of the New Year lunar calendar- during these periods, China Post is extremely unstable, and often does not work at all. In China, during this period, the New Year holidays come and almost no one works for 2-3 weeks in February. About the same thing happens on other national holidays in China.

Of particular note is such a period of time as the congress Communist Party China. At this time, maximum security measures are taken in the country, all incoming and outgoing shipments are monitored with particular care, restrictions are introduced on the international shipment of certain groups of goods (for example, devices containing lithium batteries). Such actions by the authorities also practically paralyze the work of China Post.

It is also worth noting such a factor that also affects the timing of sending mail from China, such as the ever-increasing activity of Chinese online stores and the ever-growing demand for Chinese goods from online buyers. According to representatives of China Post, the volume of postal exports associated with the development of e-commerce is increasing annually by 20-25%. In addition, as a rule, most Chinese online stores claim free international shipping. In 99% of cases, these are unregistered shipments without tracking numbers. And this, in turn, further increases the burden on the postal service of both China itself and the postal services of recipient countries.

China Post is now experiencing absolutely the same difficulties as, for example, Russian Post. The infrastructure of the postal department is simply not ready for such a volume of postal exports. There is a lack of space at sorting centers and carrying capacities on international flights. Often, a shipment with export status, in reality, can simply be in a sealed mail container at the airport of departure and wait for its turn for loading for a few more days ...

All of the above naturally affects the delivery time of mail from China. If literally a year and a half ago, parcels and small packages from China to Russia were delivered in a maximum of a month, and to Ukraine in 2-3 weeks, then this year the delivery time has greatly increased. According to statistics, the average delivery time for a regular shipment from China to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus is now about 55-60 days, and can often exceed this time limit.

The reasons for this are mainly in the increased load on both the China Post itself and the postal services of the receiving countries.

More or less acceptable delivery times are shown only by China EMS. Here, delivery times may vary, and on average they are about 10-25 days.

  • registered (with the ability to track the parcel);
  • unregistered (no tracking).

At the same time, absolutely all parcels, and shipments via EMS China Post are registered shipments. As for small packages, they are allowed not to be registered (at the request and possibilities of the seller).

If your item was sent using a registered service, then after crossing the border, it can be found on the Russian Post website. You will need a track code and the official website:

After correct input, a plate with information about the passage of goods in sorting centers and data on the current location will be created.

Tracking a parcel or small package is easy. It is enough to know the track number, have the Internet at hand and the desire to find the goods.

If this fails, the site is temporarily unavailable. Or the data is not received, then it is worth waiting a couple of days. This is due to the need to update data on postal items. In addition, failures are also possible due to the heavy load on post offices. If after some time the situation has not changed, then it is worth:

  • notify the seller and ask for reliable data about the parcel;
  • open a dispute for a refund.

So

Do not be afraid of virtual purchases. They are convenient, pleasant and allow you to save money. And you can track them using special services and the Russian Post website. By the way, before the final confirmation of the order, be sure to check your address to prevent errors in sending.

And let your purchases always find the exact addressee, never get lost.
