Igor Ashurbeyli became an alien. Interview of Igor Ashurbeyli to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta": Man of the planet Earth and his Heavenly State Professor Igor Ashurbeyli headed the presidium at the conference

Igor Ashurbeyli, scientist, businessman, public figure, philanthropist.

Date of birth: 09/09/1963.

Place of birth: Baku (Azerbaijan).

On the paternal side, the ancestor of Igor Ashurbeyli was Ashur Khan Afshar, the Minister of War (Sardar) of Azerbaijan (mid-18th century). Shah of Iran, Nadir Shah Afshar, who was his cousin, granted Ashur Khan vast land on the outskirts of Baku. The descendants of the khan, who received a title of nobility from the king and took the surname Ashurbekov, went down in history Russian Empire as successful oilmen and generous patrons. The revolution put an end to prosperity. The power of the Soviets took everything they could from the family - lands, houses, enterprises, businesses. Many emigrated, others decided at their own peril and risk to stay. In order to avoid conspicuous noble origin, the heads of families got rid of the basis "bek" in their surname (from the Turkic "bek" is translated as "ruler, prince, lord"). So the Ashurbekovs turned into Ashurbeyli. But it still did not save from repression. In the Stalinist dungeons, along with other representatives of the ancient family, the great-grandfather and grandfather of Igor Ashurbeyli disappeared.

On the mother's side, the ancestors of Igor Ashurbeyli were Nizhny Novgorod peasants. Even before the revolution, his great-grandfather Grigory Rezanov began to visit Azerbaijan to work (he was a bricklayer by profession). And when he found a permanent job in Baku, he moved his family there as well. In 1919 Grigory joined the Bolshevik Party. After returning from the Red Army, Rezanov began to make a party career, at the same time being engaged in consumer cooperation.

Igor Ashurbeyli's parents grew up in neighboring houses and knew each other since childhood. Rauf and Elizabeth got married in 1962. And on September 9, 1963, the first and only child. “This kid has a great future, believe me!” - the doctor who delivered the baby said to the happy mother. Her words turned out to be prophetic.

After the birth of Igor, Elizabeth devoted herself entirely to his upbringing. And only when the boy grew up did the woman decide to go back to work - to the Institute space research where she held the position of metrology engineer. The boy's father, Rauf Davudovich, devoted himself to science. His professional destiny was connected with the Azerbaijan Institute of Petrochemical Processes.

One of the most important people for Igor Ashurbeyli there was a maternal grandmother - Evgenia Grigoryevna. She baptized the boy in secret from everyone in the Pyatigorsk Church of the Mother of God.

From childhood, Igor Ashurbeyli was attracted to games where you need to think strategically. At first, soldiers were his favorite pastime, later he switched to chess. The boy did not cause any particular trouble to his parents. He was obedient, quickly learned to read and could sit with an interesting book all day. But already at that time his desire for leadership was manifested. If he got an A at school, not an A, he would cry. It is not surprising that Igor Ashurbeyli became a gold medalist.

Summer 1980 young man enrolled in the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry. To the department of automation that interested him production processes there was a huge competition, but Igor Ashurbeyli brilliantly coped with the examination tests. Training was easy for Ashurbeyli. AT free time he worked as a laboratory assistant at his alma mater, and at summer holidays traveled with a construction team through the cities and villages of the USSR.

In 1983, Igor Ashurbeyli married his classmate Victoria. And in 1984, the young couple had a son, Ruslan. The year 1985 was marked by the successful defense of the diploma, but Ashurbeyli was not going to break with science. In 1987, a graduate systems engineer entered the graduate school of his native university. Looking ahead, let's say that the defense of the candidate took place a few years later, in 1992.

In the late 1980s, the country experienced an upswing. Perestroika opened up many hitherto unseen opportunities for Soviet citizens. One of them is the law on cooperation. In 1988, Igor Ashurbeyli established a cooperative called Sotsium. Then he initiated the creation of the Association of Scientific, Industrial and Technical Enterprises of Azerbaijan, becoming the head of the organization.

In 1991, Igor Ashurbeyli launches two more new projects - a commodity exchange in Baku and the International Exchange of Information and Telecommunications in Moscow. Igor Ashurbeyli characterizes this time as a “breakthrough period”. Then he moved to live in Russia.

Igor Ashurbeyli got into the defense industry by chance. His company rented an office on the territory owned by NPO Almaz. The leadership of the defense giant noticed a young businessman who felt like a fish in water in market conditions and showed remarkable organizational skills. “Here is the best candidate for the role of anti-crisis manager!” - thought the leaders of the enterprise and went to the negotiations. Igor Ashurbeyli considered the offer flattering, albeit unexpected, and, on reflection, agreed to this “adventure”. I thought that I came to Almaz for only six months. But six months stretched into 17 years.

With the help of Igor Ashurbeyli, it was possible not only to pull the enterprise out of the debt hole, but also to start the process of its transformation. In 2000, Igor Ashurbeyli became the head of Almaz Central Design Bureau OJSC. Under his leadership, Almaz entered the arms market with new developments. The enterprise actively worked with state defense orders; modernization of the old anti-aircraft missile systems and complexes; a new generation of weapons for air defense and missile defense was created. "Almaz" began to supply air defense systems for export. A competent economic policy led to an increase in the profit of the enterprise, an increase in wages and social benefits. The company flourished. One of the merits of Ashurbeyli is the addition of several leading weapons developers to the enterprise for different types troops.

Igor Ashurbeyli continued to implement other interesting projects. In 2003, he created and headed the WEC on the problems of aerospace defense, in 2006 he established the Military Industrial Company (VPK) CJSC, and engaged in publishing activities.

In 2011, Igor Ashurbeyli was removed from the post of General Director of Almaz. After his resignation, he had time to defend his doctoral dissertation, which he did in the same year.

Today, Igor Ashurbeyli continues to lead an active social life, publishes magazines, and helps to restore churches. His firm "Socium" has grown over a quarter of a century into a diversified holding.

The new grandiose project of Igor Ashurbeyli is connected with space, more precisely with the first space state in the history of the planet, Asgardia, which Igor Raufovich founded in the fall of 2016.

Once Igor Ashurbeyli answered the question of what is the basis for his impeccable reputation in business. Firstly, a person should not promise anything superfluous, and secondly, one must always fulfill what he promised. Ashurbeyli strictly follows these principles in professional life, and in personal.

Igor Ashurbeyli was born on September 9, 1963 in Baku, Azerbaijan. On the paternal line, his family goes back to Ashur Khan Afshar, the cousin of the Persian ruler Nadir Shah. After the annexation of Azerbaijan to the Russian Empire, the descendants of Ashur Khan received titles of nobility. Maternal ancestors - Rezanovs, peasants from the village of Khirino, Nizhny Novgorod province, Arzamas district.

The father of Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli worked at the Azerbaijan Institute of Petrochemical Processes, and his mother held the position of a metrology engineer at the Institute of Space Research.

In 1980, Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli said goodbye to the school. In that edition, he became the only gold medalist. And then - another serious exam: admission to the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry. There was something to worry about: 16 applicants applied for one place. But Ashurbeyli easily passed through the sieve of competitive selection. To the pride of his relatives, he became a student of the new and very fashionable faculty of automation of production processes.

In 1985 he defended his diploma as a systems engineer, after which the inevitable distribution followed. young specialist sent to gain experience in the All-Union Research Institute for Gas Processing.

In 1988, Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli decided to create the Sotsium cooperative, the main activities of which were consulting services, development software, as well as the release of methodological literature. With light hand founder at the "Socium" computer literacy training courses were opened, which were a huge success among Baku residents.

But the young cooperator did not forget about science either. He continued to study at the graduate school of the Azerbaijan Petrochemical Institute, where he entered in 1987, published in scientific journals participated in seminars and conferences.

In 1994, Igor Ashurbeyli was invited to NPO Almaz, offering to test himself as an anti-crisis manager. The enterprise needed a person who would understand both the laws of the market and the mechanisms of business development in the new conditions for the country. The accounts payable of Almaz at that time amounted to 160 billion rubles.

At first, Ashurbeyli, who was appointed deputy general director for foreign economic and commercial activities, thought that he would work here for about six months - this would be enough to sort out the problems and outline ways out of the crisis. But after six months, he realized that he had fallen in love with his subordinates and with the work that they did every day for the good of their homeland.

Over the next six years, Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli, working in various senior positions, managed to carry out a comprehensive improvement of the enterprise - both scientific and technical, and organizational and financial. In 1997, he joined the Almaz Board of Directors. His anti-crisis plan bore fruit - by 2002 the enterprise had fully paid off its debts and began to make a profit, having firmly established itself in the position of one of the leaders of the domestic defense industry.

Thanks to the Almazovites, unique systems appeared in the arsenal of our army. Among the developments of the team are the most powerful anti-aircraft systems"Vityaz", "Morpheus", "Favorite", "Triumph" and others.

Excellent results have also been achieved in foreign economic activity. Thus, the enterprise exported several dozen divisions of a number of air defense systems for a fantastic amount - over $4 billion.

The General Director managed to resolve the issue of rejuvenating the team and attracting new personnel, to increase the average salary of employees 12 times. The company's revenue has grown almost 50 times over 11 years. Under the leadership of Ashurbeyli, it was possible to join several leading development companies to the enterprise, whose products were focused on different kinds troops. These are NIEMI, MNIIPA, MNIIRE Altair and NIIRP.

At first, the implementation of this idea seemed impossible, but thanks to the will, perseverance and organizational abilities of Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli, the unification, later called historical, nevertheless happened.

In 2011, Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli returned to his long-standing unfulfilled dream and successfully defended his now doctoral dissertation. All members of the commission were unanimous - the applicant was more than worthy of a doctorate degree technical sciences.

Today, Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli is still the head of the Sotsium company, which has managed to turn into a holding over the years. great place his life is occupied by charity, including the construction and restoration of Orthodox churches.

Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli is a deeply religious person. In 2015, he became director of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society. He treated this appointment with particular trepidation.

In October 2016, Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli spoke about his new project, which someone might consider unusual. However, it is for such projects, according to its creator, the future. It's about about "Asgardia" - the first space state in the history of our planet. The mission of "Asgardia" is to promote the peaceful exploration of outer space, use its resources and opportunities for the benefit of mankind. In addition, one of the most important goals is to protect the Earth from space threats.

People have different attitudes towards the rich. Some fiercely hate and envy them, because they themselves want to get rich, but it doesn’t work out, others fetishize the rich, considering them the highest form homo sapiens, others, without respect, cynically servility, do not disdain crumbs from the table (sometimes these crumbs are very nutritious), finally - the most knowledgeable ones - do not envy and do not want to become like that themselves - because they KNOW.

In the age of the Internet, everyone can become so KNOWLEDGE. I spent the evening on the net (well, if you are completely unfamiliar with the topic - a week) and Yandex with Google and Wikipedia will tell you everything that mankind knows about any subject (except perhaps state secrets, which are especially protected, because they are very dangerous).

On closer examination, all great fortunes, both of past centuries and those that have grown up before our eyes, almost always, at their core, have something at least immoral. We will leave robberies, murders and the slave trade to historians and prosecutors, because in our time you will not earn REAL money by direct robbery or prostitution. But the rest of the palette from fraud and theft with corruption to simple uncleanliness is evident.

This question did not bother me very much, although of course, being interested in the history of science, I read about ugly stories like Newton - Hooke, Marconi - Popov (theft and monetization scientific discoveries) or more recently Gates and Jobs - Xerox (theft and monetization of technology).

I didn’t think about the origin of domestic capitalists and their capital at all - well, as much as possible, everything is the same: stole - rolled away - drove off (K. Marx would probably have used this formula, and he studied not criminal chronicles, but phenomena in the economy). However, THIS story puzzled me at first, and after a little googling, I realized that I underestimated reality - it surpassed the wildest fantasies. I do not rule out that a novel will be written about this incident and / or a cool detective story will be filmed, because it is beyond the power of the average writer to come up with this, but reality sometimes presents plots ready for publication / film adaptation.

I would call this scheme "Paradox of Ashurbeyli".

He had legions of predecessors throughout the centuries, the image of Tartuffe is the first to come to mind. "He (Tartuffe) put his hand first into the owner's purse, then under the hostess's corset, and in the end took away his house. If it were not for the king's intervention, the owner would have wandered around the world with a staff, begging for Christ's sake." - quote from short description the plot of Molière's play (source: Radio Zvezda).

The plot here is the same - the scale is amazing.

So in the early 90s, the Baku cooperator Ashurbeyli came to Moscow. He quickly wins the place of the actual owner of the Leningrad collective farm market. Almost immediately, he meets the general director of NPO Almaz, Nikolai Polyashev (both the plant and the person are then top secret), becomes his personal friend, deputy and ... companion.

An interesting business they came up with:
"International Exchange of Information and Telecommunications", sale of information on the production potential of Soviet industrial enterprises, as well as previously inaccessible databases, for example, a database Central Institute military technical information. The representative of this organization in California is Socium international knowledge systems.

But that's all for now, small business (although it causes great harm to the country - but who cared then).

Soon the fairy tale tells, but not soon the deed is done. Less than ten years have passed and in 2000 Ashurbeyli already CEO NPO Almaz. Not a bad career for a young Azerbaijani businessman.

Talent is needed for any business - even to trade in the market. Great work requires great talent.

The general director creates an enterprise OJSC "KB-1" (100% - a subsidiary of NPO Almaz) and in 2001 transfers 170,000 sq.m. property complex, i.e. almost all the real estate of NPO Almaz. Total 152 objects, after the transaction, the NGO is left with 11 units. Well, for the daughter, nothing is a pity.

In 2003, CB-1 makes an additional issue of its shares in the amount of 5,000,000 shares. The entire package of new shares falls into the management of Ashurbeyli, and only 24% of the shares remain with NPO Almaz - there is not even a blocking stake. And yes, they have changed. family ties: there is a rich uncle Ashurbeyli and a poor relative - NPO Almaz.

Then everything is simple:
Yana Smelyansky (a girl from Baku) registers World Villas Real Estate Limited in London - the assets flow there and then to the offshore company W.V.R.E. Limited registered in the British Virgin Islands. Address: Omar Hodge Building, Wickhams Cay 1, p.o. box 362, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

Biography, life story of Ashurbeyli Igor Raufovich

Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli, businessman, doctor of technical sciences, publisher, philanthropist, founder space state

Date of birth: 09/09/1963 (Baku, Azerbaijan, USSR).

On September 9, 1963, in Baku, the first (and only) child was born in the family of the scientist Rauf Davudovich and the metrology engineer Elizaveta. The parents decided to name their son Igor.

The character of the baby began to appear from the very first months. They usually say about such children: they are serious beyond their years. Maybe he smiled less often than other children, but he pleased his mother and father with success. He went early, began to speak early, by the age of five or six he learned to read and write. Even before school, his father taught Igor Ashurbeyli to play chess, and Igor Raufovich retains his love for this exquisite intellectual entertainment to this day.

One of the most important people for Igor Ashurbeyli in his childhood was the grandmother of Yevgeny Rezanov. She was his friend, and adviser, and wise mentor. Being a believer, Rezanova baptized her grandson during a trip to Pyatigorsk. The sacrament took place in the temple Mother of God. In the country of the Soviets, such actions were not welcomed, therefore, about the baptism of a child long time almost none of the relatives knew.

When the question arose of which school to send their son to, the parents chose educational institution with in-depth study in English. And soon, seeing that a student eager for knowledge clicks educational problems like nuts, they also enrolled him in a music school. But between Igor Ashurbeyli and music stood ... scales. The need to hone his skills for hours, performing scales and arpeggios, disgusted the boy. Of course, he learned to play, and with pleasure he can perform both Bach and Schubert on the piano on occasion. But all the training took place, so to speak, under duress.

But in regular school every day he flew like on wings! Igor Ashurbeyli's mother, Elizaveta, recalled in an interview that if her son brought home a four, then there were tears in his eyes.

Despite the fact that Igor Ashurbeyli was an excellent student and even received the nickname “Professor” from the guys, the guys respected him. He disarmed with his kindness, always came to the rescue if asked, and never boasted of his intelligence. In the senior classes in Igor Ashurbeyli appeared leadership skills and organizational skills. Once, together with the class, he went to Leningrad, where he had already been several times before, and acted as a guide. The teachers accompanying the teenagers were only amazed: “ How does this blue-eyed boy know so much?". And they also noted his great sense of humor.

CONTINUED BELOW

The year 1980 has come. For Igor Ashurbeyli, he is memorable for two reasons. Firstly, he brilliantly graduated from school, having received a certificate in which there were only fives. Secondly, the gold medalist withstood the competition of 16 people for a place without any problems and became a university student. At the family council, it was decided that Igor Ashurbeyli would enter the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemistry. That year, recruitment had just opened for a new and, as it seemed to family members then, a very promising specialty of a systems engineer. And my intuition did not disappoint! The training helped Ashurbeyli develop skills in systems thinking and gain valuable theoretical practical knowledge related to informatization and telecommunications. He subsequently successfully “converted” these knowledge and skills into a variety of business projects.

AT student years Igor Ashurbeyli met the love of his life. It would be more accurate to say that fate itself brought Igor Raufovich and Victoria together, because they went to study not only in the same year and at the same university, but also ended up in the same group. The wedding took place in 1983. And a year later, Igor Ashurbeyli took his son Ruslan in his arms for the first time. The young father began to earn extra money at one of the university departments in order to support his family.

In 1985, Igor Ashurbeyli became a certified engineer. True, he will not break with science. In 1992, Ashurbeyli successfully defended his Ph.D., in 2011 - his doctoral thesis, dedicated to the problems of aerospace defense.

But back to the second half of the 1980s. Then, a world of hitherto unseen opportunities opened up before enterprising and initiative people, to whom, of course, Igor Ashurbeyli also belongs. Igor Raufovich enthusiastically plunged into the maelstrom of events. As soon as cooperatives were allowed in the USSR, he opened his first commercial enterprise, Sotsium. Then he organized ANPTPA - an association, which included more than a hundred enterprises of an industrial and technical profile.

Significant for Igor Ashurbeyli and his wife Victoria was 1990, when they decided to move to live from Baku to Moscow. And in 1991, the indefatigable Igor Raufovich took on a new grandiose project. This time he acted as the founder (and later the president) of the International Information and Telecommunications Exchange. There were no analogues of MBIT in Russia. It can be said that Igor Ashurbeyli stood at the origins of the formation of the modern information and telecommunications market.

But the older our hero became, the more daring challenges life threw him. The next super-difficult task that he had to solve was connected with the Almaz defense enterprise, which in the early 1990s experienced far from best period. Igor Ashurbeyli, according to the leadership of the defense giant, could become the person who would lead the company out of a deep and protracted crisis. And, as time has shown, Ashurbeyli's future colleagues then, in the autumn of 1994, were not mistaken in their calculations.

Once at the enterprise, the new "crisis manager" quickly looked around and got down to business, rolling up his sleeves. The recovery plan, or, as Ashurbeyli writes in his autobiography, “Diamond cutting,” took up many sheets. Not everything was easy for him. There were ups and downs along the way. But the most important thing is the result: a few years later, Almaz again took its rightful place in the cohort of leading Russian arms manufacturers, and Igor Ashurbeyli became the general director of the defense giant (2000). Under his leadership, Almazov put into service two new generations of air defense systems at once - the S-300 and S-400, and also finished designing the S-500. Igor Raufovich managed to establish export trade at the enterprise. The cost of contracts for the sale of divisions alone (ZRS S-300P) exceeded $ 4 billion. The situation at the enterprise itself has changed dramatically. Salaries of employees have grown during this time by 12 times, social payments to employees have increased.

In 2011, Igor Ashurbeyli resigned. But that doesn't mean you're at rest! Today, his life is connected with business - Igor Raufovich heads the Sotsium holding, and with publishing and editorial activities, and with work in the field of aerospace defense and space research. A huge stir was caused by his "Asgardia". This is a project of a unique space state, whose citizen anyone can become. The mission of the "Asgardians" is in the peaceful exploration of extraterrestrial space, in the creation of the first colony of earthlings in near-Earth orbit. Ashurbeyli, who has always considered justice as his highest ideal, wants his Asgardia to provide equal access to space resources for any country, no matter if it enters the circle space powers or not. It is obvious that the space state of Igor Ashurbeyli has a great future. By the way, Igor Raufovich plans that in a few years his "Asgardia" will receive membership in the UN.

Another important area for an entrepreneur is charity. Igor Ashurbeyli helps restore Orthodox churches. Among his awards there are several orders of the Russian Orthodox Church.

On September 15, Radio KP hosted the next edition of the traditional Military Review Colonel Viktor Barants. The guest of the program was, as the host put it, "general of the military-industrial complex", doctor of technical sciences, laureate of the Russian government award in the field of science and technology defense.

In the course of the conversation, the conversation turned to the charges brought against Igor Ashurbeyli by the military journalist, popular TV speaker Igor Korotchenko. The essence of the accusations made, including on Channel One, is traditional, sustained in a fashionable style of denunciation - acquaintance with oppositionist Mikhail Kasyanov, inefficient use of assets state enterprise etc. The hosts of the Military Review asked Igor Raufovich to comment on these attacks.

This request was hardly pleasant to Igor Ashurbeyli - he tried not to even pronounce the name of his namesake Korotchenko, as well as the name of his successor as head of Almaz-Antey Vitaly Neskorodov. However, it was necessary to answer the accusations, especially since it turned out to be very easy to break them.

Korotchenko claims that Ashurbeyli is “Kasyanov's man,” since Igor Raufovich headed the concern in 2000, during the premiership of the current opposition leader. In the same way, Ashurbeyli can be called "Putin's man", since he was already president at that time. But the fact is that neither Putin nor Kasyanov appointed Igor Ashurbeyli as the head of Almaz (Antey was added to the name later) - this was done by Ilya Klebanov, then Deputy Prime Minister for the military-industrial complex. Moreover, the appointment was made not by a personal decision, but by the result of a meeting of a very high commission - Ashurbeyli's candidacy was approved unanimously. Ashurbeyli and Kasyanov do not know each other at all, and if we “defame” everyone whom Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov appointed and met, we will have to disperse the entire current leadership of the country.

The second accusation is that Ashurbeyli allowed the privatization of a number of facilities that were part of the NPO Almaz; for special brightness, Korotchenko said that in one of the workshops, which previously housed military production, the largest bar counter in Europe was installed - its length is 140 meters! Igor Ashurbeyli laughed heartily at this "compromising evidence" and said that he himself had not seen the counter. The fact is that we are talking about a workshop, the entrance to which was carried out from the side of Baltiyskaya Street in Moscow, which, with the well-known long-term construction around it, made it simply impossible to transport and export large-sized parts to it (those who remember the history of the Alabyano-Baltic Tunnel will understand what speech). Therefore, yes, the Stadium youth club was created. As for the size of the unfortunate record holder, it should be remembered: since the time of the Great Patriotic War military production was located in our area, several times greater than the real needs, in order to hit aviation bomb destroyed not the entire plant or workshop, but only a small part of it. AT modern conditions it is simply unprofitable to maintain and heat such gigantic structures.

And, finally, the third, main accusation is the regular failure to meet the deadlines for the implementation of the state defense order under the direction of Igor Ashurbeyli. This “fact” is based on exactly one press conference five years ago, when Igor Korotchenko asked the speaker, General of the Ministry of Defense: “Do you know that Ashurbeyli was fired for disrupting the state defense order?” The general, who is an expert in completely different matters, said in confusion: "I remember." Igor Ashurbeyli filed a lawsuit against him, but the case then dragged on - after all, the general turned out to be, in fact, guilty only of succumbing to a provocation.

A photo: from personal archive

In reality, not a single disruption of the state defense order, not for a single day during the period of Ashurbeyli's leadership was documented. The company began to violate its obligations later, after Igor Raufovich left his post.

Having answered these questions, Igor Ashurbeyli turned to the fact that his “accuser”, Igor Korotchenko, is participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections on the list of the Rodina party. The fact is that the biography of this “colonel-journalist”, whom, after a shameful dismissal from the army (due to inconsistency due to moral qualities), he sheltered in Nezavisimaya Gazeta Boris Berezovsky, replete with very strange moments. What is one order worth? Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, who in 2012 canceled the assignment of the rank of colonel to Korotchenko in 1999 and ordered that this journalist be considered a colonel ... since 2007! This absolutely unprecedented document makes it clear that the morally unstable reserve officer has very influential patrons surrounded by the amnestied ex-minister.

Igor Ashurbeyli, who lives in the same constituency where Igor Korotchenko is running, also addressed Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin with the question - is it true that Rogozin, as Korotchenko claims everywhere, promises to make the journalist the head of the Duma Defense Committee. It is clear that this is a pure lie, because the government has nothing to do with the formation of committees, and the very fact of appointing such a strange figure would cause unanimous rejection in military circles, which, of course, no one needs - we have already stepped on Serdyukov's rake.

The public controversy between the two Igors, Raufovich and Yuryevich, reveals serious problems in modern military journalism, in the language and in those people with the help of whom the authorities conduct a dialogue with society about the problems of the country's defense. Low qualifications, undisguised careerism, constant juggling of facts are not the tools with which one can come to mutual understanding and national harmony. And voters should remember this.
