Therefore, control the process yourself, from time to time pulling out one slice and checking it for flexibility.

When the apples are ready, cool them a little and drain the liquid through a colander. The apples should be almost dry, you can blot them with a paper towel.

Put 3 full tablespoons of jam into a small cup. In the original recipe - 3 tbsp. l. jam plus 2 tbsp. l. water. I do not quite agree with this, with water it turns out a very liquid mixture. There is no need to add water at all, the extra liquid for the dough is useless.

We put a cup of jam in the microwave for 30 seconds so that it does not become so thick, then mix until smooth.

Sprinkle a little flour on the work surface and roll out half of the dough into a thin layer about 27 * 42 cm in size. Cut it into 6 strips.

Lubricate the middle of each strip with jam. Do not put a lot of jam, just 2 teaspoons along with the edges are enough, literally spread over the strip, otherwise the jam will flow out during baking and the dough will turn out wet.
