Ten years later, they moved to the center, to Malaya Bronnaya Street. AT Soviet time the family lived modestly.

The Agalarov family has been friends with the Magomaev family for three generations. As a child, he often visited and. Later, Emin donated the relic to the Muslim Magomayev Memorial Museum, which is located in Crocus City Hall. "Everything connected with the name of Muslim Magomayev is always present in our lives," said Emin.

In Moscow, he changed several schools, studied unimportantly. He liked to fool around.

Emin told about how this happened: “We held the Miss Universe contest at the Crocus City Hall, and, as you know, Donald Trump is the owner of the contest. During the preparation, we became friends with him. And at some point I thought it was stupid to have in Moscow at hand legendary man, 90 most beautiful girls and not use it to shoot a clip. I suggested this idea to Mr. Trump and the only thing he said was "How long will it take?". I replied that no more than 15 minutes, and we shook hands. Shooting was scheduled for 8 am. By that time, the actors and I had already rehearsed the scene. Trump came, asked, "What am I supposed to do?" "It's simple, Mr. Trump, you should fire me." He said, "OK. I can do that." He sat down at the table - and fired me with one take. But now there is a story that the 45th President of the United States starred in my video."

Personal life

Emin Agalarov in 2006 married the daughter of the President of Azerbaijan, Leyla Aliyeva. The young couple celebrated their marriage twice - in Baku and in Moscow. Two years later, the couple had twins - Mikail and Ali. Leila lived with her children in London, Emin in Moscow, which soon led to rumors about problems in the couple's relationship. These guesses were confirmed in 2015, when Leyla and Emin announced their breakup through social networks. However, they managed to maintain warm, friendly relations. The singer communicates not only with his children, but also enjoys spending time with Leila's adopted daughter, Amina.

In 2016, Emin Agalarov was published with his new sweetheart Alena Gavrilova, having the title of "Miss Mordovia 2004", an affair with which began in July of the same year.

He is young, rich, educated, successful. And free again. Vice President of the Crocus Group and popular singer Emin Agalarov gave HELLO! the first interview after the divorce with his wife - the daughter of the President of Azerbaijan Leyla Aliyeva, talking about the changes in life, raising sons and the ability to achieve their goals.

Emin, today an artist of the international music label WarnerMusic International, has just recently completed a big tour of Europe and America - Miami, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Berlin, Dublin met the artist with full houses. But until quite recently, they did not want to take his songs on the radio in Russia and did not know anything about him abroad. We met with Emin in Baku - more precisely, 30 kilometers north of the capital of Azerbaijan, in the town of Nardaran. Here, on the shores of the warm and windy Caspian Sea, Emin spent the summer as a little boy at his parents' dacha. Many years later, it was here that he returned to build the Sea Breeze resort complex with luxurious villas, a hotel and gourmet restaurants and a large house next door for himself and his sons.

Emin's mansion at the very edge of the sea - with countless rooms, wide balconies and beautiful verandas - looks fabulous, but not very comfortable. Maybe because no one lives here permanently: both the owner himself and his children, six-year-old twins Ali and Mikail, are only visits. This time, Emin was alone - the children were with their mother in London. Agalarov flew in for a few days to give a traditional summer concert at the Green Theater in Baku.

On May 30 this year, Emin and Leyla Aliyeva announced a divorce. On their pages on social networks, they published identical messages in three languages - Russian, English and Azerbaijani. It is not a secret for many in Azerbaijan that my marriage to Emin/Leyla has been formal in recent years. We have been living separately for a long time, in different cities. It was time to formalize our divorce, which we did. We remain friends.

Emin, on last week the premiere of the video for your song "Forget You" was held. In the video you have a wife and two children and you sing: "Let me forget you, let me stop loving you..." The viewer has direct associations with you and your life...

It's just a song, which also got me quite by accident. I usually don't sing other people's songs, but this one was special. It was written by a talented author Oleg Vladi. The song is about how love can pass, but still some feeling remains that keeps a person awake at night. As for the video, I trusted the director Alexei Golubev, but I proposed the idea of the script myself. I am glad that Alexey managed to shoot the story deeply, emotionally and drivingly. But I repeat, she has no direct connection to her personal life.

And yet you announced a divorce. Your official statement was the first line in all news feeds and was broadcast in prime time on federal channels. Few people expected that you and Layla would be so open about the breakup.

I have a very simple position: I want to be honest - in relation to myself, to people, to representatives of the media. It makes life easier. I don’t want to be in a situation where the interlocutor, whether it be a journalist or just a person on the street, asks: “Why don’t you live with your wife? Are you divorced or not? But there are rumors ... Leila and I simply decided that As soon as we get divorced, we will immediately notify the public about it. We consulted, agreed on the form and did it. It is necessary to give each other a chance for personal happiness. It can be for both of us only under the condition of absolute freedom. If two people don’t have personal relationships, it’s stupid to imitate family life, it’s easier to get a divorce, maintain friendship, raise children ... Leila and I divorced by mutual desire, we just didn’t have a family in the full sense of the word. None of us betrayed the other, didn’t offend, we didn’t do anything bad to each other at all. And now our relationship is even better than it was in marriage, very good. And most importantly, for our boys, nothing, in fact, has changed. If there is an opportunity, then we are together - we walk, we go somewhere. Our goal is to raise children together and do everything for them.

- Are you ready to fall in love again?

I do not think about it. I don't think we can be prepared for this. The feeling of falling in love completely changes the worldview, paints life with bright colors, and completely different music is composed. But emotional experiences also contribute to creativity, give rise to unexpected melodies.

- And what kind of woman can you like? Beautiful, talented?

Any. Actually, it's impossible to explain. As soon as you put it on the shelves - why I love, for what I want - everything ends. Sometimes you look at a couple and understand - they love each other. You may not understand what he saw in her or why she is with him, but they are together and they love. They just love everything.

- Do you agree with the statement that being happy is more difficult than being unhappy?

I agree. Because to be happy in marriage, in love - big job over each of the spouses. We must not pay attention to some trifles, constantly fight with ourselves ...

- What character trait can prevent you from being happy?

I'm a bore. Not as douchey as it seems. With claims for any reason. I remember everything, I can’t stand being late, I’m impatient, I need everything at once. It's very difficult with me.

- And with whom is it easy ... Who is easy for you?

It's easy with my kids. (Smiling.)

Emin, you have such a busy life - big business, musical career. Today negotiations in Moscow, tomorrow - a concert in Paris. When and how do you raise children?

I try to spend at least two days a week with my children. I fly to where my sons are - to Baku, for example, for the weekend. And these Saturdays and Sundays I wake up with them and put them to bed myself. Compensate for the absence. It is clear that I cannot come, break into their lives and begin to educate. But I'm trying to do things right.

- What do they want from dad?

Basically an iPad. I resist: "Son, you haven't seen me for a week, let's play without the iPad." "No, I don't want to play with you, I want to play with the iPad. And you play with Alisha," says Mika.

- Is it embarrassing to hear that?

Well, like this. We agree. An hour or two on the iPad, then a walk, driving in cars ... You know, I see myself in both of them. I was also very touchy. He put himself in a corner, like I'm punished.

Emin Agalarov with sons

- For what?

For the fact that they were taken away from the kindergarten earlier. AT kindergarten there were such multi-colored cubes, it was possible to build all sorts of them out of them. I was waiting for all the kids to play. And only when everyone was taken away, my time came. But as soon as I sat down alone to build a giant palace out of blocks, my grandmother would come.

- Wasn't it possible to play with other children? Or by force to take away all the cubes from others?

No. I was a well-mannered boy, I didn't do that. Everyone has their own way of getting what they want. Mine is to wait.

- That is, to be a winner, you have to wait?

And wait too. And also be a little smarter than others, faster. But the main thing is not to be afraid to work hard and hard.

- What questions that you don't always know what to answer do your sons ask?

- "Why are you leaving?" What can I say? "Because I have to work," I say. "Why can't you work here?" they ask. Honestly, you won’t answer a child that, in principle, you leave, work, record songs, perform on stage only because you yourself want it all, and not because you need to. I can afford not to work at all, just stay at home with the children. But I want to be realized, to achieve my goals, that's why I work.

Well, you've accomplished a lot, and not just in business. You release albums, perform in Europe and America. Do you like that foreign press calls you Russia's Ricky Martin?

I don't care. But if they compare, then let it be with someone who is talented, than with some mediocrity.

- Is it difficult to break into the western scene?

It has never been easy for a Russian artist to achieve recognition abroad. But I can say I got lucky. I won the World Music Awards before my first Golden Gramophone was given to me. In principle, everything is understandable: I started my professional musical career in London, worked for a long time with producer Brian Rowling, and received my first radio rotations abroad long before Russian ones. And, besides, in Europe, in America, I’m just a singer Emin, my father is not as well known there as in Russia, and my surname does not cause bias in relation to my music, which was once in Russia and, perhaps still present. But the music should speak for itself!

You don't make music for money. But for fame?

No, I don't do music for the sake of money, my art is for the sake of art. It seems to me that I just learned how to monetize it correctly. As for fame, I only recently began to go on stage with the realization that I want to please the people in the hall, only now I began, as they say, to bathe in applause. I'm already 35, and I'm only now collecting sold-out concerts. I have always sincerely wished for this, I was ill with it, I dreamed about it so much since childhood, and I consider myself very lucky. And every time I go on stage, I remember this. But if I choose to popularize myself or my music, then I bet on the latter. And I don't think I made it high altitudes I'm only at the beginning of the journey. Haven't done much yet. There are still songs to be sung that will remain, will not go into the sand ...

- Modesty - not your main advantage?

Probably, someone can dream modestly, but this is not my case. Think big! Only if you set impossible tasks and strive for big goals you can achieve some success. I dreamed of concert activity. A concert implies a full house, otherwise how? It's like a restaurant. If you want to open a restaurant, you plan for it to be always full of people. How can you dream of a half-empty concert or a half-full restaurant?

What achievements are you proud of today?

Definitely having two sons. Not by what they just are, but by how they grow. Smart, educated. At the age of six, they are fluent in three languages - Russian, Azerbaijani and English, add up three- and four-digit numbers in their minds. You know, so I set up houses, and ask me where my house is, I won’t be able to answer right away. Probably, now my home is where my children are. Today in Baku, tomorrow in Moscow, and the day after tomorrow - somewhere else.
