Complete walkthrough of the game the witcher 3 stone hearts. Five Reasons Why Stone Hearts Is Worth Playing

"Be careful what you wish for.

And if the wish came true

Accept the consequences with dignity."

Yennefer of Vengerberg

We have all made a wish at least once in our lives and sincerely hoped that it would come true. After all, despite harsh reality, faith in a miracle, like a small unsinkable boat in the midst of a raging sea of rationality, either soars on the crest of a wave, or falls into the abyss. Therefore, the theme of the fulfillment of desires often appears in books, films, and, of course, in games. The world of the witcher is no exception. Why, the main character himself, famous White Wolf knows a lot about making a wish. After all, it was it that tied together the fate of the witcher and the attractive black-haired sorceress Yennefer. However, in the world of the witcher, everything is never simple. Desire can distort the fate of people and even lead them to death, when one wrongly spoken word entails a series of unpleasant events, and there is no way to refuse it. And it is precisely in this situation that the witcher finds himself, because along with the mastery of the sword, he is also masterfully entangled in a variety of unpleasant stories.

This story begins with the usual witcher's order. Caught at one fine moment near tavern "Seven cats", the witcher decides to inspect the board with ads for some kind of work. And, oh miracle! It was at this moment that a peasant would come up to the board to hang on it an order for the slaughter of a certain monster in the canals near Oxenfurt.

Well, let's strike while the iron is hot, otherwise the hour is not even, they will take away this order from us. Therefore, without delay, we move forward in Garin estate visit Olgierd von Everek to learn more about the monster and more specifically negotiate a reward. In general, the usual routine when fulfilling an order.

In the estate itself, the witcher will stumble upon a noisily merry company. They call themselves the Free Redanian Company "Boars", although they look like real robbers.

And instead of helping Geralt in search of a customer, they decide to mock the witcher.

"Bunch of Idiots"- our witcher is also not a bastard, and he is quite capable of answering a few obscene phrases. One of the "boars", apparently the most narrow-minded, will not understand Geralt's irony and will rush at him with his fists. The result of the massacre does not matter, except that if we win, the game will give us experience, and if we lose, the subparagraph "defeat the opponent" will be marked as failed.

"It's nice to chat, but I'm here on business"- we decide not to go on the rampage, but simply explain to the pranksters the purpose of our appearance.

One way or another, one of the merry company decides to stop this whole farce and takes the witcher to the ataman, providing along the way advice about the correct behavior when communicating with von Everek. We will find Olgerd himself in a room on the second floor, thoughtfully contemplating a sculpture of a naked elf.

Having issued a monologue about the purchasing preferences of people, von Everek will ask the witcher to express his opinion about the sculpture. Whether Geralt shows indifference to art, becomes smart, or expresses admiration for the outstanding forms of sculpture in every sense, it doesn’t matter. In any case, Olgerd will invite the witcher to go down to his company, which, by the way, washes his colleague's new saber, and have a bite to eat, and at the same time talk about business.

And the point is that in the canals of Ochsenfurt a monster settled that killed a bunch of people, including the cook Olgerd, who, having heard gossip about the prince allegedly living in the canals, turned into a toad, decided to look for female happiness and never returned. But she, like no one else, knew how to cook game.

The conversation about the monster will be interrupted by a small incident. The happy and rather tipsy owner of the new saber will decide right in front of the ataman to touch the daughter of the owner of the estate, who brought food and drink for Olgerd. Von Everek will immediately nobly stop all the lustful encroachments of his colleague, and he instantly retreats, and Olgerd and Geralt will return to the interrupted conversation.

And then the moment will come to decide whether the witcher takes the order or not. There is nothing to think about, of course, we agree. And since this is a witcher's order, then it will not seem superfluous to stipulate a future reward. Olgerd will offer the witcher a reward in kind - after completing the order, Geralt will be able to take something from the estate. However, a heavy purse full of Novigrad crowns is more attractive than indeterminate movable property, therefore, for a witcher, the reward is 450 CZK would be quite appropriate. Von Everek will agree to the amount offered by the witcher and, moreover, the offer to take something from the house will also remain in force.

Well, let's not pull the cat by the tail, we immediately move to Oxenfurt. When leaving the house, a girl of a very extravagant appearance will turn to Geralt with a request.

We will answer the drowning man's greetings with a wave of a silver sword and go further to explore the gloomy nooks and crannies of the Oxenfurt canals.

Not far from the place where the cyanotic enemy attacked us, the corpse of her comrade in corpse-eating will be found. And interestingly, he reposed from cut wounds that remain after being struck with a sword.

Let's take this fact into account and go further deep into the channels.

Soon the witcher will hear strange sounds, dancing shadows on the wall and the words of a girl's prayer. Isn't there some kind of madness going on there? However, what he sees will stun the witcher a lot. Our eyes will appear young woman trying to revive a Redanian soldier.

The girl, to the even greater surprise of the witcher, will turn out to be our old acquaintance Shani(those who have read the books by A. Sapkowski and played the first part of the game about the witcher will surely remember this pretty doctor).

Old acquaintances will be happy to meet, because last time they saw each other in Vizima when the Catriona was rampant there. Shani still treats people and even opened her own practice in Oxenfurt. However, the sewers are not a place to reminisce, so it would be more appropriate to continue the conversation after our heroes are on the surface. Now there are more pressing matters to attend to.

First of all, we will find out from Shani what famously made her go down into the canals. According to the girl, the monster not only killed people, but also poisoned the water in the wells, from which both the townspeople and soldiers suffered. Therefore, the medical woman was instructed, together with a detachment of soldiers, to go down into the canals and find samples of the creature's poison for making medicine. However, their plans did not come true. The monster killed the entire squad, and Shani herself was barely able to escape. helped her Knols, the same soldier she tried in vain to bring back to life. About the monster itself, the girl will tell us only that it is big, slimy and spits poison.

Well, Geralt will not be Geralt, if he does not help his girlfriend to get samples, the more the monster still needs to be killed, so we will kill two birds with one stone. Shani decides to accompany the witcher in this dangerous undertaking, and in no way will it be possible to dissuade her from this, so we continue the journey together.

The passage to the next room will be blocked by a bent lattice with a jammed door - Shani, running away from the monster, slammed the door. The creature tried to break this lattice - fortunately, she survived. What can not be said about wall beside. break it down Aard won't be difficult.

Squeezing through the gap, we find in the next room the place of the monster's attack on the detachment. Looking at the disfigured bodies of the soldiers, the witcher will ask Shani to tell in more detail about what happened.

"What happened here?"- shortly after the detachment found itself in the canals, drowners attacked them. The soldiers quickly dealt with the corpse-eaters, but one, Franz, drowners wounded in the leg. Shani was engaged in bandaging the wounded, and Knols remained to guard them. The appearance of the monster took the detachment by surprise, Knols pushed the girl to the exit, and he himself rushed at the monster. Running away, Shani looked back and saw Nols lying on the ground in some kind of sticky substance. Vern and Miklas distracted the monster, which allowed the medic to drag Nols to where Geralt found them.

"Were you friends with them?" (optional)- the witcher will ask Shani about the soldiers of the detachment accompanying her.

The bodies of one of the soldiers, namely Franz, will not be at the scene of the attack. Apparently, the monster dragged him to the lower level of the channels. You can get there by jumping into collector, through which the monster got to the upper level and washed away through it.

However, the witcher will not have much desire to jump there - after all, it’s a bit high. Shani will offer to get to the lower level in a more civilized way, only here's the catch - the entrance is locked there, but the squad leader had to have key from the door. His corpse is in the same room, very close to the scene of the attack.

The key is found, now it remains together with Shani to return to the locked door (see map of the upper level) and go down to the lower level.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

However, despite the witcher's fears, going down to the lower level through the collector is also possible. Jumping down there, the witcher will not even break his legs, but will immediately be attacked by several drowners. Shani will not tempt fate and will go to look for another way to the lower level. After we deal with drowners, Shani will rejoin the witcher. When asked how she found the way, the girl will answer that she simply took the key from the commander of the detachment, and without any difficulty went down to the lower level of the channels.

Looking around, Shani discovers the missing body. Franz, and, strangely, it will lack leg, the wound on which the physician had previously disinfected with alcohol.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

It was this leg that the monster bit off, although it did not touch the other bodies. From this we conclude that our creature loves alcohol mixed with blood. Well, here you are, another drunken monster and again in Oxenfurt (the first was, as you remember, the katakana, which Geralt hunted while fulfilling the order “Oxenfurt bloodsucker”).

So, Franz has been found, now it's time to find the monster's lair. Perhaps examining the soldier's body would help? The witcher will smell the smell of a monster emanating from the corpse, but it leads to a dead end, so you will have to look for the lair without any help.

Exploring the lower level of the channels, our couple here and there will stumble upon the bodies of people covered with mucus. Looks like the monster has set up a pantry here. The witcher will also find places with mucus, where, in his opinion, Shani will be able to take samples of the poison, but the quality of these will not suit her at all, since the material for study must be clean, and not with mud and excrement of utopians.

Finally, having climbed all the nooks and crannies, Geralt and Shani will stumble upon a huge room with large quantity decaying bodies and slime where all pipes and corridors seem to converge. The most suitable place for lairs.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

Near the entrance to the lair, fresh slime will be found, which means that the beast was here recently. Shani will seize the moment and take samples for study. She will also express a desire to take fresh poison, after the witcher kills the monster, you never know what properties it will reveal. Geralt, meanwhile, will figure out how to lure the monster into the lair. We know that the monster is not indifferent to alcohol with blood, but the witcher just has alcohol(If suddenly not, then Shani will kindly share the alcohol that she took to treat wounds). More blood is needed, but there will be no problems with it - there are a lot of bodies in the lair. One of them can be adapted for bait. But first you need to persuade Shani, as soon as the beast appears, to run away to the surface. The girl this time will not be particularly stubborn, wish the witcher good luck and run away to hide.

Now is the time to lure the monster into the lair. We don’t have to do anything - the witcher will concoct the bait himself, and when it is ready, all that remains is to wait for the monster. The spirit of alcohol will quickly spread through the channels, and the beast will not take long to wait.

And the rumors turned out to be true, it really started up near Oxenfurt toad, and even huge, like a house.

This voluminous amphibian will swallow our bait with appetite and immediately attack the witcher.

Of the elixirs in battle, it is especially necessary "Oriole"(best of all, its "excellent" version), since this creature is poisonous, as death cap. Also useful "Tawny Owl", "Swallow", and "Potion of Raffar the White". Now for the signs: Aksy completely useless "Aard" for such a carcass that a pellet is for an elephant, from "Igni" it will be useful if only it is fully pumped - the toad burns extremely reluctantly, you can use "Irden", however, trapping the beast will be a problem. Remains universal at all times "Quen", and we will use it most of the time. As you can see, the signs in battle are mostly useless, so we will rely on a silver sword. Oil against the damned and a chance to call bleeding the sword will be a good help in the battle with the monster. The toad will spit at us with poisonous clots and attack with its long tongue, so it is strictly forbidden to stagnate. If the witcher comes close to the beast, then she will immediately start jumping, causing damage on landing and throwing her back a few steps, therefore, it will not be possible to defeat the monster with a simple call. 1-2 hits is all that the witcher can count on if he approaches the toad (or as many as three hits if the beast is under the influence of the Irden sign). So, we will attack the monster like the Mongol cavalry: we jump in - we strike one blow with the sword - we bounce - we let the toad jump and repeat the attack.

The battle will end with a spectacular scene: the witcher will open the belly of the toad that jumped on him. But bad luck, Geralt himself will be splashed with some vile slurry, which will turn out to be so poisonous that the witcher's legs will immediately give way and he will begin to lose consciousness.

The last thing the White Wolf sees before passing out is a toad turning into human, and armed men in long-skimmed robes running into the lair.

After some time, consciousness will return to the witcher, but he will not be in the monster's lair, but in an incomprehensible room with a grate. Looks like the most natural prison cell. And again, as they say, out of the fire and into the frying pan.

The prisoner sitting in the next cell will be glad that the witcher has come to his senses - after all, now he will have someone to talk to. To the reasonable question “Where am I?”, A fellow in misfortune will tell that they are on a ship called "Fakbarhiil"(in our "Albatross"), and he keeps his way to the distant lands of Ophir. It turns out that idle gossip about the enchanted toad prince turned out to be true, and the armed men in dressing gowns were officers. According to the prisoner, their king of Ophir sent to find and disenchant the prince, and they swore on their honor and the honor of their descendants that they would bring the prince alive. However, the prince was killed by a witcher, so the Ophirians have no choice but to deliver the killer to the king for reprisal. The prospects seem completely unrosy, therefore, so that gloomy thoughts do not undermine the will, let's chat with a cellmate, for example, about who he is (remark "Who are you?"). The prisoner is called Felippe Calagrande. He is a petty thief and a professional cheat, he knows every nook and cranny in Oxenfurt, which is why he was hired by the officers as a guide. He coped with the task - he led the Ophirians to the lair of the toad, only by this moment Geralt had already finished off the prince. The Ophirians believed that Felippe was involved in the murder, and put him in a cage, like the witcher. Well, the guy was unlucky, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Of course, we are still worried about the fate of Shani, suddenly the Ofirs grabbed her too (remark "What's wrong with Shani? Is she here?"). However, Felippe saw no one else in the canals except the witcher. So the girl didn't get caught by the officers. Well, at least some good news.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

Despite his unenviable position, Geralt will not give up trying to find a way to get out of prison (remark "How to get out of here?"). Felippe will not have good news for the witcher. He had already tried to negotiate with the guards, but he was apparently let down by his not very good knowledge of the Ofir language. The conversation will be interrupted by the guards, who brought the prison gruel to the prisoners. Geralt will take advantage of the situation and ask them to meet with the captain. But the trouble is, the Ophirians do not understand the Common Language. Then Felippe will come to the rescue. He will tell the witcher a phrase in Ophirian. By choosing the right replica, we get a pinch of additional experience.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

Whether the witcher pronounces the phrase correctly in Ofir or not is not important. In any case, the officers will ignore Geralt's request and leave. It's a pity the conversation didn't go well in Ophir. True, according to Felippe, there are those on the ship who speak the Common: a mercenary from Aedirn and the head of the Ophirs, a sorcerer. It's just that there's no way to negotiate with them. At all.

All this chatter will tire Felippe and he will fall asleep, advising Geralt to follow his example. However, the witcher does not want to sleep, and “I really want to have someone here with whom I can negotiate”.

No sooner said than done. Not far from the cells, it is not clear where a person will appear from. He will greet the witcher and ask if he remembers him (a kind of memory test from the developers). The answer of the witcher does not play a role, the person will introduce himself anyway. It's none other than Gunther o'Dim, he is Mr. Mirror, he is the Glass Man.

It was with him that we met in the tavern in the White Garden, and it was he who helped us in the search Yennefer. And now again he is ready to lend a helping hand to the witcher, only this time not for free. O'Dim will try to get him out of the cage, for which the witcher will have to thank him.

Well, we don’t have much choice, because in Ophir the witcher is going to be executed. So if you like it or not, you will have to accept help. Gunther will seal our agreement and make an appointment for the witcher at midnight at the crossroads at Yantra villages, of course, after the witcher breaks out of captivity. At parting, o'Dim will leave on Geralt's face sign, as a reminder that the witcher owes him a favor.

Our conversation with Mr. Mirror will be interrupted by Felippe, awakened by the voices. The Witcher will be distracted by him for a second, and at this time Gunther o'Dim will disappear just as suddenly as he appeared earlier. In just a moment, a storm will hit the ship, it will be thrown onto the rocks, and the vessel will begin to take on water. The witcher, who at that time had a death grip on the grate, would feel the full force of inertia of the heavy box flying at him and would lose consciousness from the impact.

The first thing Geralt will see when feelings begin to return to him are seagulls soaring against the sky. Is it freedom? Not at all. From the overheard conversation, it will become clear that some part of the Ofirs survived the shipwreck and did not refuse the intention to deliver the murderer of the prince to Ophir. And now the witcher is being dragged along the shore with his hands tied like a pig carcass who knows where.

In the meantime, the Ophirian magician and the mercenary from Aedirn will discuss what punishment awaits the witcher. For killing a prince bathe in tar, skin and quarter. Such entertainment will obviously not be to the liking of the witcher, therefore, a successfully turned up stone, thrown by Geralt's well-aimed hand, will find the head of the Ophir warrior dragging him. He will collapse as if knocked down, and the witcher, who has finally come to his senses, will jump to his feet in the blink of an eye, grab the sword from the officer’s belt and interrupt him with a spectacular throw. life path aedirnian. Geralt will also effectively get rid of the fetters and arm himself for the fight. Well, as Yennefer used to say, grueling workout paid off in Kaer Morhen.” Only here's the catch, from the clothes on the witcher there will be only pants, and to fight half-naked with a whole detachment of warriors, flavored with a battle mage, is not entirely handy.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

However, do not despair, as soon as the game gives us control of the witcher, we will have the opportunity to open inventory and equip Geralt as expected, since all things will be safe and sound.

Having prepared for the battle, we begin to systematically reduce the number of Ophirians in this territory. We are waiting for a fight with six ofir warriors of level 32 and a sorcerer who will spoil us with magic from afar. And not only to us. Officers, having fallen under magic strike, along with the witcher will take damage. However, it will be possible to attack the magician only when the last Ophirian warrior says goodbye to life. Before that, we simply won’t be able to damage the magician either with a sword, or with bombs, or with arrows. Checked.

As soon as the last warrior falls, the sorcerer will have no choice but to enter into a confrontation with the witcher. The arsenal of his magic tricks will increase markedly, so standing in one place is harmful to health. In battle, we use whatever our heart desires - signs, bombs, a crossbow. Having finished with the Ophirs, on the body of the sorcerer we will find letter.

Attention. If the desire to fight with the Ophirians does not arise, or if the fight with them seems too difficult, then at any time you can simply run away from them. True, in this case we will not receive additional experience for this mini-genocide. However, we can take revenge on the Ophirs for such an inhumane attitude towards ourselves at any time. From this shore they will not go anywhere. As soon as your hero "mature", we go back and finish the life of strangers. Interestingly, immediately after his conversation with Gunther at Yantra or the Garin estate, a question mark (robber camp) will appear on the map at the place where we left the Ophirians. Upon arrival there, we will find that the Ophirians did not waste time in vain and have already pitched their tent. And what is even more interesting, if you killed all the Ophirians, but did not cope with the magician, then now the squad will again be waiting for the witcher in full force.

So, after all the misadventures, the witcher is free again. Only now the sign on the face will not allow you to fully enjoy your miraculous deliverance. After all, now we have a debt to Gunther o'Dim, and the witcher is a man of honor, he is used to repaying his debts. Therefore, we go to a meeting with Mr. Mirror in Yantra village.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

Interesting. Basically, O'Dimm has scheduled us to meet at midnight, and the sun is still up, so there's still time to go about our business. For example, try to get rid of the mark on the face. Such a request can be made to Triss or Yennefer. And it would be nice to have a chat on this topic with ciri, suddenly she will tell you something sensible. Of course, you can talk about the sign on the face with ladies dear to the heart, only if the main plot is not completed. wild hunt". The most convenient way to do this is after the Last Preparations quest line, when everyone gathers on a ship in the Novigrad port or on Skellige. Unfortunately, neither the sorceresses nor Ciri will help the witcher in any way.

If we find ourselves in the Yantra before midnight, then at the meeting point you can hear the song that the kids are singing. Sooner or later, the meaning of this song will become clear. In the meantime, let's just meditate until midnight - we need to put our thoughts in order, because so much has happened in a short time.

O'Dim will appear at the crossroads as unexpected as always. He will sit on a wooden pole and whistle a familiar tune.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

This mysterious individual will be clearly satisfied with the appearance of Geralt, and after talking a little about such a thing as incomprehensible to him as a debt of honor, O'Dim will ask how everything went with the Ofirs.

"The storm helped me, not you"- the witcher will doubt that the help in his release came from Gunther. The storm helped him get out, but not O'Dim.

"I was expecting more explicit help"- O'Dim could help the witcher in a simpler way, for example, by giving the key to the cage. However, for Gunther, this would be too banal a decision.

"Did you cause a storm? Are you a sorcerer?- the witcher will logically assume that O'Dim is a magician, but he will not confirm Geralt's guess, answering that he disdains charms and magic for him is just cheap tricks.

And yet the Ophirians are the Ophirians, but it would be nice to talk about why Gunther asked for a meeting. O'Dimm will start from afar and invite the witcher to listen to a story about a scoundrel with a heart of stone who does not want to pay his debts. To the witcher's reasonable question why this story should be of interest to him, Gunther will answer that this man

harmed both Geralt and his name Olgerd von Everek. You can doubt the malicious intent of Olgerd (the remark “I have nothing against Olgerd”) or find out from O’Dim how he knows that the witcher and von Everek know each other and that he somehow harmed him (the remark “How do you know what did he do to me?"). And you can immediately ask how Olgerd messed up the Glass Man (the remark “What did Olgerd do to you?”).

No matter how we build our dialogue with Gunther, he will in any case tell us that Olgerd knew perfectly well about the enchanted toad prince and quite consciously sent the witcher to kill him. And then O’Dim will speak very impartially about Olgerd, and all because once O’Dim and von Everek entered into an agreement, and now Olgerd is evading paying the debt. The role of the bouncer will not be to Geralt's liking, but his savior does not need a bouncer, but someone who is not afraid of trials. That is Geralt. For help in this matter, O'Dim will promise the witcher mountains of gold, grace for the body and soul, and many other seductive things.

"What exactly do I need to do?"- according to the contract, before Gunther comes for a debt, three wishes of Olgerd must be fulfilled, but O'Dim himself cannot be their executor, but only a consultant. And here Geralt is very successfully tucked into the arm.

"What did you do for Olgerd?" (optional)- Once upon a time, von Everek asked O'Dim for help and thanks to him he became rich and influential. But he refuses to repay the debt.

"How much does Olgerd owe you?" (optional)- Gunter o'Dim does not give cash at interest, so Olgerd does not owe money at all, but something much more valuable, and what is a secret.

"I don't want to interfere in this" (optional)- an attempt by the witcher to stay away from the conflict between O'Dim and von Everek. Unsuccessful.

As a result, O'Dim will offer to visit Olgerd together to find out more about von Everek's desires. And yet, Gunther believes that everything will end well, and after that they will all meet and thank each other for what they experienced together.

Here the game will prompt us to choose whether we want to help Gunther o'Dim or not. But nothing depends on our choice. In any case, O'Dim will persuade the witcher to visit von Eferek together, and also hint opaquely that he will remove the sign from the witcher's face only if he agrees to help him. After that, Gunther will retire on his own business, having arranged a meeting with the witcher already at Olgerd, and will leave Geralt at the crossroads alone with his thoughts.

Interesting. After talking with O'Dimm, the idea that we are being drawn into some kind of foul-smelling story will firmly sit in our head. The first meeting with Gunther in the White Garden may well be accidental, but the second one clearly does not fit such a definition. Isn't it all set up? This version has the right to life. It will suffice to recall our conversation with Olgerd's man near the notice board at the Seven Cats tavern. At the moment when Geralt and Olgerd's envoy will talk about the monster, a familiar face will flash in the background literally for a second.

So, we don’t have much choice, we need to advance in Garin estate. In fact, we need to see Olgerd not only at the request of O'Dim, but also in order to pick up the reward, since the order has been completed, the monster in the canals of Oxenfurt has been killed.

Approaching the estate, the witcher will find that the house is on fire.

Interesting. Here I allow myself to digress a little, and consider a slightly different scenario. Perhaps someone will want to drop by Olgerd at Garin's estate before meeting with O'Dim in the village of Yantra for a reward, otherwise you never know what awaits the witcher after talking with Mr. Mirror. However, it was not there. Just before entering the estate, we will be stopped by none other than Gunther o'Dim.

He will scold the witcher for not keeping his word, and the conversation will turn in the same direction as at the crossroads at the Yantra.

Although the house is on fire, however, there will be no fire-fighting measures by the “wild boars”. The approaching witcher is recognized by one of the gang. He will immediately pay attention to the witcher that appeared on his face. sign and asks if the witcher has caught Ophirian syphilis.

In the meantime, a couple of “wild boars” (more precisely, “boar” and “boar”) will appear from behind the house, leading a colleague who is escaping and squealing - our familiar owner of a new saber. Judging by the behavior of the captured, they clearly have evil in mind, which will be confirmed a moment later. The executioners will start cooking execution, and, of course, the noble witcher will definitely chime in (just ask what the poor fellow was guilty of), but will run into rudeness.

You can not flog the fever and continue the conversation calmly (the remark “Let's talk calmly”), or you can respond with rudeness to rudeness (the remark “Don't twitch”) - the witcher will still receive an answer to his question. As it turns out, it was the chieftain who ordered to cut off the head of his comrade-in-arms, and here's why - again you will have to pull the answer from the executioners.

    1. "Don't be nervous, let's talk calmly"- The "boars" will calm down a little, and will answer that their colleague is sentenced to death for violating the nobility code. At this time, from the burning house for a long time, annoyed by screams, Olgerd and orders to finish the execution as soon as possible. Geralt will not have time to blink an eye, as the sentence will be carried out.

As soon as von Everek has time to say a few words to the witcher, the daughter of the owner of the estate suddenly pierces Olgerd through sword, accusing him of killing his father. Contrary to common sense, Olgerd will not fall dead, but calmly, as if nothing had happened, will explain to the girl that it was not he who killed her father, but the man who had just been executed, among other things, for the murder of the owner of the estate.

    2. "Let him go or you'll have to deal with me"- we play the role of an evil and rude witcher and go with the executioners to the conflict. Olgerd, who came out of the burning house, will be outraged that the witcher climbs into other people's business. And since he is such a noble defender of the offended and oppressed, why not resolve this conflict like a man, duel. If the witcher wins, then von Everek will pardon the guilty ally.

Opponent Olgerd is quite difficult. He is an excellent swordsman, so he will parry most of the witcher's blows, which means ability to counterattack in this battle will come in handy like nowhere else. Still in his arsenal is the ability to teleport and a very powerful blow, the signal for which will be saber glowing red. Of the signs in battle will come in handy "Quen" especially if the skill is pumped "Quen Discharge", and if it does not work at all, then it will come in handy "Irden" in its alternative version, although it is long and tedious. As soon as Olgerd's health bar approaches the minimum, a scene will start in which Geralt pierces his opponent with a sword, and then practically cuts off his head, which will hang behind Olgerd's back on uncut tendons and skin. Already after the first wound, Olgerd had to give up his spirit, and even more so after the second. However, he, to the amazement of the witcher, will remain on his feet, and even congratulate Geralt on his victory.

“Putting” his head back on his neck, Olgerd will ask why the witcher got into something other than his own business and, as a result, he will order the release of his comrade-in-arms, who almost lost his head.

    3. "Do your thing, it's none of my business"- events will develop almost exactly the same as in item 1. With only one difference - the witcher will not ask the "boars" about the reasons that prompted the chieftain to order the execution of the accused, but will immediately declare his non-interference in the affairs of the gang.

So, no matter how this story with the execution ends, it's time to talk in a more relaxed atmosphere with our customer.

Optionally, you can ask what the hell just happened here (the remark “Are you immortal?”) Or ask Olgerd about the sign on his face (the remark “Do you recognize my sign?”).

If there is no desire to rant with Olgerd, then we immediately select a replica: "I came for a reward". Von Everek will give us a reward of 450 crowns (whether you bargained with him or not) and mockingly offer to take something from the burning house. On this, the witcher's order for the beast in the Oxenfurt canals will be completed. Now is the time to bring Olgerd to clean water. The witcher will directly ask von Everek if he knew that the toad is an enchanted person. However, the question will not be answered by Olgerd, but again fallen like snow on his head Gunther o'Dim.

Olgerd will not be happy about O’Dim, who has come for a debt, but this time Mr. Mirror has an assistant - Geralt of Rivia. You can try to refuse to help Gunther a second time (remark "I haven't agreed to anything yet"), but this time he will almost categorically declare that the witcher will agree to help him.

However, back to the conversation about the toad prince. According to O'Dim, it was Olgerd who turned the Prince of Ophir into an ugly amphibian. And all because the parents of Olgerd's beloved girl Iris they refused him the hand of their daughter and betrothed her to a prince from distant Ophir. However, it was not enough for Olgerd to turn the officer into a toad. Having enjoyed his torment, von Everek hired a witcher to end the toad once and for all.

After listening to the revelations of O'Dim, Olgerd will drive him away, and he will invite the witcher to talk about the case in the stable.

If you are interested, you can ask Olgerd why he framed the witcher with this order (the remark “Did you set me up on purpose?”) Or learn first-hand about the prince’s curse (the remark “Did you turn the prince into a toad?”).

If not interested, then we take the bull by the horns and immediately ask von Everek about desires (remark "What are your three wishes?").

Firstly, since the house where Olgerd and his gang were burned down, the witcher von Everek must get Maximilian Borsodi's house(Olgerd's first wish).

Secondly, Olgerd is very homesick for brother Vitold, who knew how to have fun like no other, and will regret that now he is not having fun at all. And so Geralt should make Witold soul for all this time(Olgerd's second wish).

Von Everek will keep silent about the third desire for the time being and will announce it only after the witcher copes with these two. It is useless to ask Olgerd for help (remark "Any hints?"). It was foolish to think that von Everek would make the work of the witcher easier. Making an appointment in Oxenfurt in the tavern "Alchemy", they say goodbye.

It's time to start fulfilling Olgerd's wishes. In principle, “to cheer up a brother” will not seem like a witcher challenging task, but how to get the house of Maximilian Borsodi - that's the problem.

At the very exit from the witcher's estate, Gunther o'Dim to give him some useful tips regarding assignments.

"Where is Olgerd's brother now?"- Günther will tell the witcher the news that Witold has been dead for several years already, which is not encouraging. Therefore, O'Dimm will advise to spend Ritual of Summoning and will give out a vial with the blood of the Evereks necessary for this ritual. But where to look for Vitold, O’Dim will refuse to tell. Instead, he will advise you to go to Shani maybe she knows something.

"How can I bring home?"- o'Dim will tell the witcher the location auction house in Oxenfurt, owned by the Borsodi family, and invites him to visit them, remembering to take plenty of cash with him.

So, the task was received from Olgerd, the CC from Gunther o'Dim, too. On this task "First Seeds of Evil" will end and two quests related to the wishes of Olgierd von Everek will be activated: "And I was there, drinking honey-beer" and "Sesame, open up!". Shani will retire to prepare an antidote, while the soldiers will discuss with the witcher women scientists (the lines “A scientist does not have to be ugly” and “What do scientists look like?”) And, in particular, Shani herself (the lines “Shani beautiful girl and "Shani is not my type").

This replica is completely optional, so you can immediately get down to business and ask Shani for help (replica "I need your help"). However, the girl will demand from Geralt a story about what happened in the canals. To lay out everything clean to the girl, or, without loading Shani with unnecessary details, immediately tell about the essence of the matter - the decision is yours, all the more it does not really matter. In any case, the witcher will tell Shani about the debt of honor that he has formed before Gunther o’Dim (we answer Shani’s question “Who is this?” with any remark that seems more appropriate to you).” And now the witcher must make sure that the spirit of the brother of one nobleman has fun like never before in his life. But first of all, the ghost must be found, and only then Ritual of Summoning, for which Geralt will need censer.

After a short conversation with the spirit of Witold (hereinafter simply Witold), Geralt will explain to him the reason for his visit: the witcher was sent by Olgerd and instructed him to somehow arrange fun for the deceased brother.

Optionally, you can ask in more detail about Olgerd (remark "Tell me about Olgerd") or about how Vitold died (remark "How did you die?").

Such concern for Olgerd's dead brother will delight Vitold, and he immediately gets ready for the road. But sadness, Witold is a spirit, so he cannot interact with objects and people. And what kind of fun is this, if you can’t take a mug in your hand, or a saber, you can’t hug a girl in a dance. Needless to say, Vitold's enthusiasm will decrease, and the witcher will have to figure out how to get out of this situation. Alternatively, you can offer Vitold move into someone else's body, for example, in one of Olgerd's people or in a local resident who will agree to this for a fee. However, Vitold will flatly refuse to climb into the body of an unwashed Khmet or "druzhban", but the witcher's candidacy, in his opinion, will be more acceptable. From the violent "penetration" of the poor Geralt for the third time in this addition, he will pass out. This time the witcher will come to his senses Shani.

Waking up, the witcher will begin to give out phrases, completely unusual Geralt, and even stretch out his hands to the girl's chest. Shani, dumbfounded by such a strange behavior of the witcher, will step back and demand an explanation from Geralt. However, the witcher will answer that he does not not Geralt, but Vitold, which will confuse Shani even more. In order to somehow clarify the situation, Vitold will leave the body of the witcher, leaving him to explain himself to the girl. He will tell Shani that in order for Vitold's spirit to have fun, Geralt will have to lend him your body, and when he is possessed, neither words nor actions will belong to the witcher. Also during the conversation it turns out one interesting detail - Shani does not see or hear Vitold, but that one of hers is wonderful. However, the question is: what to do if Shani wants to talk specifically with Geralt. The problem is solved simply: Vitold, at the first request of Shani, will leave the body of the witcher.

As soon as Shani puts the recent events in his head, Vitold will again take possession of the body of the witcher and immediately begin to actively and unceremoniously incline the girl to intimacy, which, as expected, will get a turn from the gate.

Such a decisive refusal will not upset Vitold, and he will decide to take the easiest route, leading straight to the brothel. However, Shani will offer Vitold entertainment more interesting and varied - wedding celebration.

If earlier Geralt accepted the invitation to the wedding, then Shani will agree to meet Vitold right at the place of the celebration and run home to dress up.

If earlier Geralt refused the invitation, now Vitold will accept him, rewarding the witcher with impartial words. Shani agrees to meet Vitold right at the place of the celebration and runs home to dress up.

If earlier the witcher decided to flirt with the girl, then he did not receive an invitation to the wedding, but all because Shani hoped for the ingenuity of Geralt, who himself had to invite the girl to the wedding, seeing a wedding wreath in her hands. And since Geralt did not have enough intelligence, Witold will gladly accept the offer and will gladly accompany the girl to the wedding. As a result, Shani agrees to meet Vitold right at the place of the celebration and runs home to dress up.

So, Shani will leave to preen, and an interesting conversation will take place between the witcher and Witold. They will discuss, of course, Shani. Before going to the wedding, Vitold will ask the witcher about his relationship with the girl.

"Shani is very dear to me"- Witold boasts of his insight, and promises the witcher not to "glue" to Shani. Looking ahead, I will say that he will not keep this promise.

"There was nothing between us"- Witold will suspect that the witcher has problems with his head and erectile dysfunction, and in the end he will put forward an assumption about Geralt's non-traditional sexual orientation. Therefore, since the witcher is such a fool, Vitold will have to deal with Shani himself.

But enough talk, it's time to go to the village of Bronovitsy, where, in fact, wedding festivities are planned.

Interesting. Before you come to the wedding, you can take the spirit for a walk around the neighborhood so that it stretches its ghostly bones. When visiting the places indicated on the map, you can expect an interesting reaction from the spirit. If you have already visited these places alone, then Vitold will still react to them.

Only now Geralt will not have such clothes, therefore Witold will offer to steal a kuntush from one of the local residents.

Regardless of whether Geralt wants to take someone else's or not, Witold, having moved into the witcher, will nevertheless put on the stolen kuntush. However, this will not seem enough to him, and Witold decides to shave and cut the witcher's hair. And we can't resist this either.

Before going to the celebration, Shani will ask Witold to leave the body of the witcher for a minute to talk with Geralt. The spirit, though reluctantly, will agree.

Shani will ask the witcher to control Witold so that he does not say too much when the girl introduces them to the bride and groom. But Shani apparently forgot that the witcher cannot control his actions or words when he is possessed by a spirit. And while Geralt controls himself, he will remind Witold of the agreement to have fun only until midnight, and as soon as rite of putting on a cap, the spirit will have to return back to the crypt. Witold agrees with obvious displeasure, moves back into the body of the witcher and, together with Shani, goes to the newlyweds who meet the guests. On the way to them, the girl will pay attention on rowan and remember how in childhood she made beads out of it. Vitold does not need to be persuaded, he will gladly agree and put on the line all the money what we have. The loser will also have to put on donkey ears and not take them off until the end of the festival.

There will be no opportunity to refuse, so we play. The opponent will play with a deck "Kingdoms of the North" with the leader of Foltest the Iron Lord. He has a full set of spies, including the Mysterious Elf, and hero cards. "Execution" and "Villetretenmert" are also present. And all this with an average gwent skill of the enemy. So choose your deck and play tactics correctly if you need a win. Although this is probably the only case in the game when it is better to lose. After all, for the victory we will earn only a little more experience and that's it. Although Witold put all the witcher's money on the line, having won the game, we we won't get a crown. After Witold has plenty of fun driving pigs, our couple will sit down to rest. If the pigs were driven honestly and the reward was received, then Vitold will ask Shani if she likes the gift. If we took advantage of "Aksiy" and, accordingly, did not receive the award, then Vitold will ask Shani for forgiveness for his behavior.

After a short pause, Vitold quite unexpectedly complains to Shani that he does not know how to approach her. To this, Shani will reasonably assume that Witold is not her type. For such a womanizer, this reason will sound like a challenge. Vitold will immediately ask Shani to show the girl he will need to seduce. Shani will choose a "victim" and Witold will show us a master class on seduction.

And he will almost succeed, if not for the intervention brothers girls who swore to their father that they would keep the honor of the girl from such seducers. To persuade the brothers will not work either in a good way or in a bad way. In any case, they will want to teach Witold a lesson. The noble nature of von Everek will not tolerate such an insult, and a fight will begin.

Whether Witold wins it or is defeated is not important. In any case, the girl will be disappointed in her new boyfriend and run away. And now we have to justify ourselves to Shani. We choose any replica from the ones offered by the game and go for new entertainment.

After they are finished two of the four must-haves, a scene will start in which Vitold, having heard fervent music, drags Shani to dance almost by force. After pushing the guests aside, Vitold and Shani will dance famously until they appear on the stage. Gunther o'Dim and will not announce a slow dance for Shani and the witcher.

Witold will take this as a signal to attack, and in the dance he will increase the pressure on the impregnable bastion of the girl. And he will even achieve some success: at the end he will thank Shani for the dance with an unexpected kiss.

Shani will be unhappy with such assertiveness and reprimand Vitold for this trick. Having discussed this, so to speak, incident, Shani will again ask Vitold to leave the body of the witcher, and he will again fulfill the request with a grumble.

As soon as Witold leaves Geralt's body, Shani will ask the witcher how it is when a spirit sits in him, whether he feels something or not. And Shani asks about this because she wonders what it would be like if she danced only with Geralt. The witcher's answer will not affect anything, so we choose a replica at our discretion.

In the end, Geralt will draw the girl's attention to the person who announced a dance for her and Witold. This is the one Mister Mirror.

To which Gunther will declare, without any boasting, that he knows a lot about everything, and it will sound like a dry statement of fact. And then the devil pulls Witold by the tongue - he wants to know what o'Dim knows about him. To the surprise of von Everek, Gunther will turn to him, although he is in the body of the witcher. Mr. Mirror will say many unpleasant and humiliating words for Vitold, in the end comparing him with bad copy of Olgerd. Despite Vitold's indignation, O'Dim will interrupt the conversation, wish to have a good time and leave.

Shani will calm Vitold, who is full of anger, and together they will go on to have fun.

As a reward, only the favor of the lady, but maybe, be it her will, a kiss. Witold will also express his desire to participate here, because there are no such amusements in noble estates. Under the admiring glances of local girls, the witcher will throw off his clothes and ask Shani to throw a shoe into the water.

Diving after the shoe, with the help witcher sense found at the bottom of whole three shoes. Shanin's shoes will lie when viewed from the shore, on the left side of the pond.

4. "In Search of the Fire Eater"

The bride's parents are in trouble - gone fire eater, whom they wrote out of Novigrad for a tidy sum, so as not to lose face in front of the groom's parents. However, the groom's dog named Demon for some reason, he took a dislike to the artist, broke free from the chain and drove him into the forest.

Witold has long wanted to try himself as a witcher, so he will be happy to help his parents in trouble. The father of the bride will help us a little, telling us that it will be possible to recognize the devourer by a noticeable jester's hat. The information is useful, for sure it will come in handy.

Before going in search, Vitold will leave the witcher's body and ask Geralt not to help him. The only thing is that the witcher will advise Vitold to start an investigation with a search dog tracks. Von Everek will take advice and move back into Geralt.

Well, it's time to get to work. We will look for dog tracks, of course, at the dog house. Near it you can see a bowl, a gnawed bone, and the kennel itself deserves attention, but the main thing is the dog tracks that will be found nearby and lead us into the forest. Shani will not dare to go with us and will remain waiting on the territory of the farm.

Looks like he lost it when he was running from the dog. This hat can pick up, and suddenly it will be useful for something. After this find, Vitold will make for himself a characteristic of the devourer - fat and cowardly.

We continue to follow the tracks and, in the end, we stumble on a man sitting on a tree, and under the tree a modest-sized dog will bark.

The devourer flatly refuses to get off the tree while the dog is below. So we have to drive her away. with a stick or the Aksy sign.

After the dog runs away, the devourer will venture down to the ground. Only here is the problem, sitting on a tree, this unfortunate artist got drunk like a shoemaker, and in such a state there can be no talk of a performance. We need to somehow get out of this situation. But first of all, let's give the magician his hat, if you picked it up earlier (remark "Here is your hat").

So, our next task will be to deliver the devourer safe and sound back to the wedding.

"Let's go, you'll sober up along the way"- in a tone that brooks no objections, Vitold will force the devourer to return with him to the wedding and give a performance. The game will give us control of the witcher, already equipped swords, and the devourer will have health bar. Everything suggests that walking through the forest will not be easy. Indeed, our couple will not have time to go down to the stream, as they will be attacked a wild boar. The drunkard will scream under the nearest tree, and the witcher will have to deal with the ferocious cattle.

After the fight, Witold and the Devourer will discuss the attack, and the game will immediately take us to the wedding to the bride's parents.

"How do they swallow fire?"- under the pressure of Witold, the devourer will reveal the secret of his craft. It turns out that in order not to get burned, you need to drink a special composition before the performance, and then the fire will not cause the slightest harm. Vitold will feel deceived. What a trick it is if anyone can smear themselves with protective goo and swallow fire. The subtle soul of the artist will be hurt by such a reaction of Vitold, and even this is the case with a dog. The devourer will be offended by the whole world and decide to go away. The game will not give us much time to think: either we force the devourer to return with using "Axia" (the first level of Deception is needed) or by paying 50 crowns, or let go his home (replica "Do what you want")

If the devourer alive and well, then the bride's parents will thank us for our help, and Vitold and Shani will go to watch the performance, which will be arranged by the rescued fire-eater.

If the devourer by some miracle died when attacked by a boar, or we him, offended, released in the forest on all four sides, then we will have a choice of how to calm the upset parents of the bride.

But what about the dog? Her fate will worry the bride's parents no less than the fate of the devourer. After all, this is the groom's dog, and if it disappears, a scandal cannot be avoided. The demon will return home if we previously drove it away with the help of Aksia, but if we scared it with a stick, then the dog will remain running through the forest and will not return home.

It turns out that Vitold is not averse to hitting on the ladies of a venerable age. However, in this case, he will not succeed.

So it's almost midnight, which means it's time to start rite of putting on a cap. Vitold, overwhelmed with emotions, will go up on stage to make a speech on the topic "The Hillbilly is also a person". Shani will be categorically against it, so the choice to make a speech or not falls entirely on you.

Shani, as a bridesmaid, will have to participate in the ceremony, and this participation will end with the fact that she will catch the wreath Olgerd, my damned brother! You have no idea how you pleased me with your idea to entertain me. Let the person you sent be no more fun than a hoe handle, it doesn't matter... What matters is that I felt good. And How! It was an amazing wedding, the vodka flowed in streams and there were many beauties around, so that the eye had something to rest on. I miss you, but don't rush to join me. Live and enjoy. Your brother, Witold.

After that, the witcher and Vitold will retire to the courtyard for a conversation. Geralt will remind him of the agreement that with the onset of midnight, Witold should return to the crypt, but he will balk.

Shani, who has approached, will intervene in the conversation and ask the witcher if Vitold's spirit has left. Von Everek will decide that the girl missed him, quickly move into the body of the witcher and declare that she will not go anywhere until Shani gives him a kiss. Relying on Vitold's decency, the girl will reward him with a kiss. That's just in vain Shani decided that Vitold would keep his word. Having received a kiss, he will never want to leave the body of the witcher.

It seems to be a stalemate, but it will come to the rescue Gunther o'Dim. He will drag the spirit out of Geralt's body in a rather painful way, and, after tormenting him a little, will send him back to the crypt.

Finally, Geralt and Shani got rid of the annoying spirit, and now you can breathe freely. But O'Dim will remind the girl that Geralt is here on a mission, which will plunge Shani into despondency. Gunther will provide Geralt with an explanation with the girl, but he will again get lost in the back streets of the unknown female soul, as a result of which the saddened Shani, saying that she, as a bridesmaid, needs to be at the wedding, will leave the witcher alone with her thoughts.

For luck, Gunther o'Dim will not leave the witcher without help even in such a delicate matter as the relationship between a man and a woman. He will advise Geralt not to leave Shani in such a depressed state, but in order to cheer her up, he will offer to bring flowers or something to drink. After Mr. Mirror, who wished Shani and Geralt good night, leaves, an additional task is activated "Clear Night".

So, after completing or failing the task "Clear Midnight", we go to Oxenfurt in Tavern "Alchemy" where we agreed to meet with Olgerd. There the witcher will give him a letter from Vitold and the task "And I was there, drinking honey-beer" will be considered completed.

Interesting. After completing the task "And I was there, drinking honey-beer" you can once again look into the von Everek family crypt. Near Vitold's grave there will be a flower - Orlik from Giverna. Geralt will assume that Shani, who misses Vitold, brought the flowers.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Walkthrough of the main story. Part one

Last Tuesday, in the SoftClub office, I spent three hours getting acquainted with "Hearts of Stone" - the first major paid add-on to The Witcher 3. During this time, I managed to hunt new monsters and blow up their cozy nest, meet a couple of old acquaintances, send two bosses to the forefathers, kill a third one several times and advance a little bit in the story. By virtue of this very "little bit" my impressions of the upcoming addition are somewhat chaotic, but entirely positive. Why? Let's figure it out.

1. In addition, you can start playing at the very moment when you feel like starting to play it.
Although "Hearts of Stone" is designed for a level 30+ Geralt, which roughly corresponds to a hero who has completed the line of the main quests of the original game or is close to completing it, there is no need to increase your witcher to the required level at an accelerated pace and only after that take on the expansion quests. If your White Wolf is still "green" and the level is low, and you want to have a look at the new DLC with one eye, then there is no problem - just start new game, in the menu that opens, select the appropriate item and launch "Hearts of Stone" as a separate independent story. In this case, you will immediately get at your disposal a level 32 master Geralt with 42 pumping points, which you are free to distribute as you please. Also in your backpack there will be some bottles of oils and elixirs, including a potion for resetting distributed talents, some bombs, 20 thousand Novigrad money, some food and other little things. With this set of witcher gadgets, complemented by armor and swords that are given by default at the very beginning of the game, you will find yourself at a fork in the road near the Seven Cats tavern, from where, in fact, your new adventure will begin. You can immediately go there, or you can first wander around the game world as a high-level hero, collect loot and even, if I understand correctly, complete side quests that are not related to the main storyline of the original game. At least in the territory of Novigrad/Velen, most of the fast travel milestones at the start of the expansion are already considered open and available for use, and side quest givers are in their usual places and are marked with yellow exclamation marks. Upon completion of the main story mission "Hearts of Stone" you will be able to start New game + and take with you all those nishtyaks and buns that you will find and acquire through overwork in the process of passing the add-on.

If your Geralt is already a big boy who is over 30, then you need to start new game, of course not. You simply go to the notice board at the Seven Cats and receive a new order that opens the main questline of the Stone Hearts. All your loot, equipment, consumable ammo, etc. remain with you - use it to your health.

2. The plot is intriguing, non-linearity and Easter eggs were brought in.
Not the easiest, but quite a familiar witcher contract, with which the main plot of the add-on begins, pretty quickly turns into serious problems for our hero. By the will of fate, he becomes dependent on the mysterious and powerful Glass Man and is forced to conclude a deal with him that is very unprofitable for himself. The Witcher must fulfill three wishes of his recent employer - the bandit chieftain Olgerd von Everek, who also once concluded an agreement with the Glass Man. Three wishes - three stories. Each with its own specific color and mood, its own choices and difficult decisions, on which, in turn, the outcome of the entire adventure as a whole will depend.

Five reasons why Hearts of Stone is worth playing

Five reasons why Hearts of Stone is worth playing

The famous design non-linearity permeates the entire plot of "Hearts of Stone", while the consequences of the choice made are far from always obvious. An attempt to save someone else's life, for example, results in a boss fight, which, if your hero spit on a peasant sentenced to death, could well have been avoided. In another situation, diligently following the in-game prompts without showing initiative deprives you of the chance to get to the bottom of the truth and find out the whole ins and outs of a very complicated detective story. Even the very possibility of influencing the ending of the main storyline of the add-on (there are only two of them) depends on the decisions made earlier.

Somewhere, somehow, the developers mentioned that "Hearts of Stone" in spirit resembles the books of A. Sapkovsky. The fact that this is actually not a loud advertising idle talk, you are convinced literally in the first 15-20 minutes of the game. The contract that starts it all involuntarily brings to mind the very first book about the adventures of Geralt, " Last wish", where each story is a very specific reinterpretation of the plots of famous European and not only fairy tales. This time, the Brothers Grimm's "Frog Prince" was taken as the basis (not to be confused with our Russian "Frog Princess"). Appearing in the supplement new faction- Ophirians - also indicates the literary source - the story "The Limit of the Possible" from the "Sword of Destiny". The phrase about white horses with black stripes living in Ophir and Zangvebar, uttered by one of the secondary characters, is also taken from there. However, not only Easter eggs for the creations of Pan Andrzej are pleased with the addition. There are references in it to the works of Russian classical literature, and to certain moments world history, and to others computer games, and much more. In their appearance, Ataman von Everek's bandits are suspiciously similar to the Zaporozhye Cossacks, and the scene in which the witcher receives the Glass Man's mark reminded me, you won't believe, of the first meeting of Corvo and the Alien in Coldridge Prison from Dishonored. And these are just a few examples.

3. Bosses are tough, tenacious and hit hard.
Rejoice, hardcore lovers, it seems that pain and death have come to your village. Even on the average difficulty level, the three bosses that I met are able to make the player nervous and swear dirty. The "fat" enemies acquired a large amount of health and did not want to die for a long time. Nimble and quick, they managed to parry almost their backs and did not give Geralt the opportunity to unleash a series of attacks on them. One, less often two successful blows with a sword - that's all he could afford in between dodges, rebounds and rolls, without risking hitting tangible people. If you suddenly managed to forget about how Signs and elixirs are sometimes useful in battle, then the bosses of the add-on will quickly remind you of this ... and then they will force you to load from the last save and remind you again.

A long "dance" - a universal strategy for reducing reptiles to a cone - is diversified by the presence of each of them with their own unique vulnerable points, which, however, can be found out only after starting the battle. But, even having understood in theory how, where and when to beat an opponent to cause the greatest harm to health, it will still be necessary to do it in practice, because opponents also do not stand still. To go to them from the rear - and that problem is not an easy one.

4. Meeting old acquaintances is priceless.
Shanifils, admit it, you are impatiently counting the last days left before the release of the add-on. And I understand you perfectly. The red-haired medic, whom we have not seen since the riots in Vizima (oh, then King Foltest was still alive), returns pretty prettier, but still devoted to her principles and her cause of saving human lives. Since the events of the add-on do not affect the plot of the main game in any way, our Geralt can afford not to restrain the impulses of his male libido and enjoy the joy of meeting an old girlfriend to the fullest. The main thing is to properly build a dialogue at the right time.

Another acquaintance of our hero, spoiled in the screenshots, is a dealer in glassware and mirrors from the Prologue. It seems that this Persian is far from being as simple as it might have seemed to us at the very beginning, and it was not at all out of kindness of heart that he helped Geralt to attack the trail of Yennefer. By the way, didn't Damien Monier mean him when he said that in "Hearts of Stone" we will get "one new hero that we met in the Wild Hunt, a very specific character"?

5. Oh, how much is new here!
Yes, the developers did not stint on the new addition. Firstly, location Novigrad/Velen has grown with some territories in the north and east. Not so great was the area of newly discovered lands, but the very fact of the increase in the game world pleases. Those who updated the game to version 1.10 have already noticed, I think, new buildings and settlements on the map, but you won’t be able to get into them without the add-on installed.

Secondly, with the expansion of the in-game world, the number of available to visit has increased points of interest, although their list has not undergone significant changes: all the same nests of monsters, all the same abandoned villages, etc. The difference from the main game lies in the level of monsters hanging out nearby (exclusively 30+), and their species diversity. Appearance in "Hearts of Stone" arachnids arachnomorphs no longer a secret. Nimble creatures take not so much by force as by their numbers and ability to work in a group: while one quickly backs away, dragging Geralt along, the rest attack him from behind. These relatives have Shelob and a special attack - spitting with a piece of sticky web, which significantly slows down the witcher's movements. And they brought a population of nimble people into the forests pigs.

Thirdly, the add-on will delight lovers of gwent and connoisseurs of witcher outfits. The first will get the opportunity to fight new opponents and get hold of ten new cards, and the second - to replenish your collection Snake School armor set(ready to bet on the whole authorized capital a can of Vivaldi, you've been dreaming of it since the Prologue). In addition to the Serpent Armor, Hearts of Stone will allow Geralt to equip and equip armor for at least two new factions - the Ophirians and the Knights of the Order of the Flaming Rose. (Did you think Projects forgotten about the local fighters for the superiority of the human race? No matter how!).

Fourth, in addition to the main storyline, "Hearts of Stone" will have several side quests, some of which are connected to the central plot, while others exist completely on their own.

Fifth, we are waiting new system enchantment of armor and swords, based on strengthening them runic(runewords) and glyphic(glyphwords) words. These words are obtained from a combination of stones with runes and glyphs, familiar to us from the original game, and therefore in new territories added to the game with the installation of the add-on, loot storages are literally full of these very stones. In total, there are 9 rune words for swords and 14 glyphs for armor. Being built into clothes and weapons, they significantly change the hero’s stats and endow him with very interesting abilities, for example, auto-casting the Quen Sign before the start of each battle without spending energy, or regenerating health due to accumulated adrenaline, or the Axii Sign, automatically switching from a killed enemy to neighboring living. Geralt will not be able to concoct a magic word on his own and stick it into a jacket or a blade. To do this, he will have to visit the Runemaster of Ophir and pay off a considerable amount of money for the service, but the final result is worth it, especially considering that the bosses in the add-on are serious and do not intend to give the witcher a descent.

Five reasons why Hearts of Stone is worth playing

Leaving the SoftClub office on Tuesday, I felt that I had not played enough. There was a week left before the release of the add-on, but the soul insistently demanded "the continuation of the banquet." It is impossible not to admit that "Stone Hearts" is the dish that, having tried it, you want to eat it whole, in one sitting, and then ask for additional supplements. A famously twisted story, interesting and memorable characters, gameplay innovations and a bunch of fresh content - this is the recipe for another gaming delicacy from CD Projekt RED that can impress even the most sophisticated players. Therefore, you should not deny yourself the pleasure of tasting it, IMHO.

9.5 out of 10 for a great add-on that surpasses other stand-alone games both in terms of completion time and quality of execution.

The side quests in the Hearts of Stone expansion are not so numerous, or rather, there are very few of them. It is understandable, the whirlpool of events during the passage of the main plot is addictive, and you don’t want to be distracted from the fascinating story at all. However, they still deserve our attention, because completing some of them will allow you to have good things at your disposal, as well as improve your existing equipment. Therefore, let's see what side tasks this add-on offers us.

RACES: FAST AS THE WEST WIND

Let's start our consideration of side tasks, perhaps with the simplest. While walking along the village of Bronovitsy west bank lakes the witcher will be called out by a man of clearly foreign appearance.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Passage of side tasks

It will turn out to be an Ophir merchant who came to the Northern lands to see the world and show himself. During the conversation, the witcher will turn his attention to the excellent stallion that belonged to the merchant, and offer to arrange horse races. Horse racing is one of the favorite pastimes not only in the North, but also in distant Ophir. Therefore, the merchant does not have to be persuaded. He gladly agrees to the competition. And this means: “Move, Roach!”

Roach will move until the victorious finish, for which he will receive a new “clothes” for himself, namely "Ophirian Nomad's Saddle" with an energy of 85 units. At the same merchant, you can replenish the Ophir wardrobe of our horse blinders and saddle bags(100 kg).

However, life is arranged in such a way that where you can win, you can also lose. And losing in the races is quite the place to be. It just shouldn't upset you. Although the task will be considered failed if you lose, you can again approach the merchant at any time and demand revenge. The task from the failed ones will again be active. And so you can repeat until victory.

SPELL: STARTING CAPITAL

The roach is now dissecting us in new clothes, why shouldn't the witcher take care of his equipment. From the announcement at the tavern "Seven Cats" we know that he arrived in the northern lands rune caster and he is very close to the Ophir merchant-rider, in a tent.

In order for this task to be available for completion, it is not necessary to inspect the notice board. It is enough just to find a tent and turn to an officer with bushy eyebrows, and the task will be activated.

So, during a conversation with the witcher, the officer will tell about his craft and about the misfortune that befell him on the way to the Northern Lands. All the tools with which he imposes runes and glyphs ended up in the depths of the sea due to a shipwreck and there is no way to get them out of there. And new ones cost fabulous money.

The story that you can enchant armor and weapons, thereby giving the equipment new properties, will interest Geralt. You can splurge on this. To get started, the runemaster will need "only" 5000 crowns. But that's not all. The master will ask you to bring him an impressive size piece of jade. Only then can he begin his work. As soon as the money is with the officer, the quest "Spell: Starting Capital" will be considered completed, and the next quest associated with the runemaster will immediately activate.

ENCHANT: PAY FOR QUALITY

The rune master is still provided with finances, but the lack of jade will not allow him to start his craft. Geralt knows that north of Novigrad you can pick up this very jade.

But before you go for the stone, you need to get a mining tool. After all, there will not be a piece of jade lying around just like that on the ground. For this we will need kylo, which the witcher requisitions from the locals who live near the mill.

Now it remains only to find a piece of jade and bring it to the rune master. Of the places suggested by the game, a piece of the proper size can only be found in one place. This place will be cave, which was chosen for housing by arachnomorphs. They won’t let the witcher calmly look for jade, so pest control in the cave is simply necessary. After the sanitary procedure, we set to work: the jade will not end up in the hands of the witcher by itself.

The jade stone brought by the witcher will finally allow the rune master to do what he loves. He will thank Geralt for his help and the task. "Enchanting: Paying for Quality" this will end.

From now on, the Runemaster will be available as a universal artisan, from whom it will be possible not only to repair equipment and dismantle junk, but also to craft weapons and armor. However, this is not the main advantage of the master. It will be possible to enchant any piece of equipment that has three slots for runes or glyphs. By the way, at the rune master, of course, for a fee - and not a small one - you can add cells to all items of equipment (armor, weapons), except for witcher equipment. Also on sale he will have new glyphs (as well as drawings for their manufacture), which will be needed to enchant armor glyphic words. These glyphs can also be used as regular glyphs and placed in slots for enhancement.

WITHOUT A Trace

Arriving in the next village, the witcher never misses the opportunity to inspect the local bulletin board. And now, being in the village of Bronovitsy, Geralt turned his attention to the advertisement for the search for a missing person. And since they offer a reward for the search, it’s a sin not to take advantage of such an opportunity.

The Witcher 3. Supplement "Hearts of Stone". Passage of side tasks

To talk with the customer, we go to the hut to the herbalist near Oksenfurt. You may have already been there as part of the Open Sesame! story quest. .

The herbalist will ask the witcher to find his apprentice Folkert, who went to Corpse thicket for hemp fiber and still hasn't returned. That's where it's worth looking for. However, this is not enough, we still need the signs of the missing, otherwise you never know what. According to the herbalist, Folkert is low, like him, and even fair-haired. For such an experienced tracker as Geralt, this is quite enough to start searching.

The game will tell you that it is best to look for it near Erde villages.

It looks like someone attacked Folkert, and he decided to take cover in the village. And what is strange, immediately at the entrance to the village, the tracks will break off, as if the apprentice had gained wings. Therefore, it is simply necessary to look around here. The village will look completely abandoned, but the witcher will be lucky to meet a couple of residents. This is a married couple of quite advanced age. Only they remained in the village to live out their lives, not wanting to leave their native places.

They will tell the witcher that they saw Folkert. He was attacked by wolves, which is why he decided to find shelter in the village. However, for some reason, he soon again decided to go to the forest for herbs, and did not return. Apparently, for the second time, fate was not so favorable to the lower class, and he found his death from wolf fangs.

In principle, you can go to the herbalist right now to tell him about the fate of the apprentice, to receive as a reward 200 crowns, apparently for the efforts, and finish this task.

However, something is not right in this village. You should sniff around here. The first oddity is found in next door. There, the entire floor at the entrance will be covered with blood, which is already several months old, and a bloody handprint will be clearly visible on the wall.

In the end, no matter what choice you make, it's time to go to the customer. The apprentice is dead, so there is no need for the herbalist to wait for him in vain. Of course, the lower will want to know what the cause of Folkert's death is. Tell him the original version of the wolves or tell the harsh truth - it's up to you.

If the version with wolves seems more appropriate to you, then we will receive a reward from the herbalist and you can go for a walk. The task will end there.

If honesty does not allow you to lie, then the herbalist will ask if you did justice to the murderers of Folkert. The news of the death of the cannibals will calm the soul of the herbalist, and he, having thanked the witcher, will give him the reward in full. But the customer will be dissatisfied with the pardon of the murderers. He will give us a reward and promise to find these human eaters and avenge Folkert.

    2. Did the witcher buy sea shells and then resell pearls from these shells?

    3. Did the witcher have to break into someone else's house and take something from there without permission?

Well, everything is clear with the third question, but what the first two are for is not entirely clear. However, those players who play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt from early versions will immediately understand the vile hint of the developers. There were times when in the White Garden it was possible, with a certain patience and restraint, to become indecently enriched to such an extent that it would be enough for lifelong living in the most elite brothel in Novigrad "Passiflora". Or to get a fortune the size of the imperial treasury in Nilfgaard, just buying sea shells from merchants for pennies, which could be dismantled from any artisan and sell pearls to him at a much higher price. Later, this shop of "cunning" enrichment was closed and washed down with such a task-hint.

How to answer the questions - decide for yourself, the inspector will take the word of the witcher. If the witcher confirms his illegal actions in at least two cases out of three, then the tax official will issue him an invoice for payment.

ROSE ON A RED FIELD

As you remember, as soon as the witcher received a task from Olgerd von Everek to kill the beast in the Oxenfurt canals and went to carry it out, when on the threshold of the estate he was stopped by a shocking mamzel named Adele(straight into rhyme, damn it).

The village will meet the witcher with silence. Only a draft will creak with open shutters in abandoned houses, and ghouls walking around the village in a businesslike way will complete the gloomy picture. Well, the witcher has a short conversation with ghouls. Only corpse-eaters would not just come to the village. They must have smelled the stench of rotting flesh. Therefore, we should take a closer look here.

Witcher Sensebest friend and an assistant (along with Roach) - will help out the witcher this time too. However, instead of the nauseating amber of decaying carrion, the village will be filled with the smell of some kind of reagents. The sensitive nose of the witcher will lead him to one of the huts equipped for the production of fisstech.

Our guess turned out to be correct, Kluivert was in danger. Not surprisingly, drugs are a dangerous (and extremely harmful) business. And even more so their production.

But let's not be distracted from the inspection of the hut. On the bed someone will be found near the window traces. And since a man got out of the hut through the window, it means that he was taken by surprise. Behind the house there will be more traces that will lead the witcher to the body with a crossbow bolt sticking out of the back. According to the signs, the witcher will determine the identity of the slain - Kluivert.

The killer of Kluivert, judging by the tracks, returned back to the village and set off on a horse to the hillock to a lonely hut. We follow him too. On the hillock near the hut, the witcher will be lucky enough to meet with five knights of the Order of the Flaming Rose, only if you have not been there before to wring out the Ophirian drawing from them on the assignment "From Far Ophir". Having killed the knights or unhindered, we carefully examine the area. It is clear from the note that the laboratory of the Order is somewhere northwest of the village of Bronovitsy. She will be our next destination.

Of course, the entrance to the laboratory will be guarded, and the guards will not be in the mood for a peaceful conversation. In this case, it is best to pay and get "iron" 100 experience points for it.

Ulrich, chief over the knights, will be peaceful, and even answer the witcher's question: "Why would the knights of the order suddenly be engaged in robbery and drug production?" That's just the revelations of the leader will always end the same. He recognizes in the witcher the murderer of the master of the Order, Jacob from Aldersberg. Of course, after he was recognized, the witcher would not be released from the laboratory alive. We will have to fight in a small room with as many as 8 opponents, two of whom are archers. The fight will be hot and we'll need something in it. mass destruction, for example, Igni or a bomb "buckshot". As soon as the knights in the laboratory are killed, it's time to go to Adele in the tavern "Alchemy" that in Oxenfurt. It is there that she will wait for news from us. On the way outside, two guards also say goodbye to life for the glory of the Eternal Fire (unless you sawed them out earlier). From their corpses it will be possible to take all the money up to the last crown that we paid for entering the laboratory.

Already in the tavern we will tell Adele about the death of Kluivert, about revenge for his death and we will receive from her a reward in the amount of 200 crowns. On this task will be considered completed.

If you remember, at the very beginning of the wedding, she immediately noticed a mountain ash in the yard, because once in her childhood she made beads from it.

Having chosen a gift, we set off to look for Shani. I will make a reservation right away, it is useless to approach her without a gift. The girl will sit in the barn, where the main wedding celebrations take place, hanging her head. Her whole posture will scream about the longing in which the girl was.

In the meantime, musicians who are pretty tipsy will be out of tune more and more, which will make conversation in the room impossible. But before leaving, Geralt will ask her to find out more about Olgerd von Everek, to which he will receive the girl's consent. Shani and the witcher will go about their business and the task will end there.

So, we looked at all the side quests in the Stone Hearts add-on. Yes, they are not numerous and not as exciting as in the Wild Hunt, but it was not boring to perform them either. Moreover, some turned out to be very useful for the witcher, especially the tasks of the rune master.

Well, it's time for me to say goodbye to this wonderful addition, which is definitely worth the money for it. I hope you found the expansion guides useful and that you can learn something new from them.

However, they would hardly have appeared in my authorship if the respected Elle (for which many thanks to her!) had not entrusted me with such a responsible and serious work that only you, my beloved readers, can appreciate.

Thank you very much for the hints and clarifications to the task "Enchanting: pay for quality" -

The quest appears automatically in your quest log

Step 1: Check the bulletin board at the Seven Cats Tavern

Head to the tavern, it is located near Novigrad.

It is located in the Garin estate, it is northeast of.

At the estate you will be greeted with “funny” jokes and taken to Olgerd, you need to discuss the details of the order with him. When you wake up to leave, a girl will come up to you and give you an additional task. Rose on a red field"

Stage 3: Ochsenfurt canals

The next place of your adventure will be the canals of the city. You can get into the canals by going down into the well, which is located west of the Novigrad Gate.

Stage 4: Search the channels

After going down, use the witcher's flair to find the tracks.

The tracks will lead you to Geralt's old friend - she will tell you about what is happening and tell you about the monster. After the conversation, you need to find lower channel grating key , you can find it by searching the corpse of a soldier in the corner.

Stage 5: lower level

Using your witcher senses, carefully inspect the lower level of the channels.
The search will lead you to the corpse of one of the people who accompanied Shani. After examining the body, Geralt will smell the monster, follow it. The trail will lead you to a dead end, in order to move on you need to find a workaround (it's easy to find, the passage will be behind an open grate), you will find yourself in a lair.

Stage 6: lair

In the lair, using the bait, Geralt will lure the monster into battle.

The fight with him is very difficult. Although he is slow and practically does not move, his attacks are very fast and strong. In battle, the sign "Quen", "Igni" and bombs will help dancing star and North Wind.

Stage 7: unexpected meeting

After defeating the monster, Geralt will fall from severe poisoning and wake up as a prisoner on the ship. You are considered the murderer of the Prince of Ophir and are being taken to be executed.
Geralt's friend will help you escape -. After a sudden storm, the ship crashes and Geralt finds himself on the shore. There you will have to give battle to a detachment of warriors.

Stage 8: Ophir Mage

The squad will have an Ophirian mage, a very strong opponent, who is guarded by several soldiers with pikes and shields.

Using "Quen" you can avoid damage from the magician while you deal with the rest. With the north wind bomb, you can freeze the magician (it is difficult to do this as he throws bombs) and hit him with powerful attacks. Don't stand in one place and don't let yourself be surrounded.

Stage 9: meeting with Mr. Mirror

At midnight, head to the crossroads at the willow (Yantra Village)

After talking with Dim, you need to go to Olgerd.

Stage 10: debtor conversation

When you arrive at the estate, it will already be on fire, and Olgerd's people will carry out the execution.

If you interfere with the execution, you will have to fight Olgerd. During the battle, use Quen and Aard, and everyone's favorite rolls and dodges. He will constantly teleport behind his back, so hold the block, After defeating him, there will be a dialogue. After the dialogue, the quests "And I was there, I drank honey-beer", "Sesame, open up!"

Reward: 650 XP and 450 Crowns

And I was there, drinking honey-beer

From a conversation with her, you will learn what happened to Shani over all these years and where to look for the tomb of the Everek family.

Stage 2: Tomb of the Evereks

The tomb is located in the eastern part of the map from. Shani will be waiting for you there, she will give you censer(quest item). After the dialogue, you need to go down to the crypt.

Level 33 will be waiting for you there (difficult opponents) and there are quite a lot of them, the Yrden sign will come in handy here, the main thing is not to let yourself be surrounded. After you kill all the ghosts, inspect the place using the witcher's flair and find Olgerd's brother.

Stage 3: perfume

Now you will need the censer that you were given, with its help you need to walk through the crypt and fumigate it. After that, you need to light the lamp, it is located in the very center of the room where you fought the ghosts.

After the ritual is completed, all members of the Everek family will come out to you, they will be hostile against you. They will have to be defeated in battle, although they are ghosts, they are much easier to kill. After that, Witold will come out to you - Olgerd's brother, whom you were looking for. After Witold finds out that Geralt is here to cheer him up, he will move into the witcher.

Stage 4: wedding

Now Vitold's spirit will accompany you throughout the mission. To amuse the spirit, Shani offers to accompany her to the wedding. Head to the agreed place in Bronovitsy Village. There you and Shani will have to take part in wedding fun until midnight.

One of those fun will be "drive the pigs into the barn"(the Aksy sign will help you do this quickly), after participation, Shani will offer you a bet and because of him you will have to fight with the peasants on sticks (signs cannot be used). The next fun will be - "Catch the shoe". Shani will throw her shoe into the lake and you need to find it, it is not easy to do this, because there are many other shoes in the lake. After that Witold will want to dance. After the dance, talk to the Mirror Man. Then keep on having fun. Another fun will be "Quest for the Fire Eater". To do this, follow the tracks of the runaway dog, they will lead you to the tree where the magician is sitting. On the way back to the village, a boar will attack you. Protect the fire eater from him. And the last fun will be playing in gwent(if you lose you will be forced to put on playful ears and give 5% of your gold).

At midnight, head to the barn for the wedding ceremony. After that, Vitold's spirit will disappear.

Stage 5: report to Olgerd

Reward: 1065 xp , exercise:

Sesame, open up!

You will receive the quest automatically after completing the quest.

Stage 1: go to the auction house Borsodi

Stage 1: go to the residence of the von Evereks

When you fulfill two wishes, he will make a third - bring a purple rose. You will start your search from the von Everek estate, which is located south of the village of Bronovitsy.

The gates to the residence will be locked. The passage will be to the left of the main gate.

Stage 2: watchman

In the passage you will meet a thief who has lost his partner, Geralt promises to help find him. Once in the courtyard of the estate, use the witcher's flair to find a purple rose, looking around the area you will not find anything, but the traces of the missing thief will lead you to the back of the garden. There you will find a dead thief and the residence's caretaker, the Keymaster.

This is a very difficult opponent. All his hits on you will restore his health, his principle of combat is based on a series of circular strikes and two powerful ones after which he cannot move. The battle with him goes in two stages: the first - you leave him half of his health, the Keymaster summons the spirits from which he will restore health (it is useless to beat him at this time, it's better to take care of the spirits - destroy them) and the second - you leave him a quarter of his health, after which he again summons spirits, try to prevent him from replenishing health, when the call ends, he can already be killed (this time he will not call anyone). Stock up on food and potions for the battle, the Yrden sign will also help in battle, for some reason the monster is immediately distracted by its activation, this can be used to your advantage.

Stage 3: Von Everek Manor

When you finally defeat the Keymaster, a black dog and a black cat will come out to you, they are some kind of guardian spirits of this house. According to them, the rose can be found at the owner of the house and Olgerd's wife - Iris. Climb to the second floor of the estate and look for Iris. On the first floor on the table will lie "Sketchbook Iris" (quest item). On the second floor, go through the balcony to another part of the house. There you will be attacked by the "Ghost from the picture".

It will be much easier to fight him, only the portals that the ghost creates will cause difficulty. It is better to close them as soon as possible (through them the ghost restores health). Having defeated the ghost, you will find yourself in the bedroom of Iris (on the left on the table you can pick up a portrait of Olgerd and Iris). The spirit of a dog and a cat will appear in the bedroom, they will tell what happened to the hostess. The hostess must be buried in the garden in front of the house in order to summon her spirit and ask about the rose. Use your witcher senses to find a suitable place. Once you find him, bury Iris and say last word(they do not affect anything), you can also put the album and portrait you found in her grave.

Stage 4: another world

The spirit summoned by you will open the portal, after passing through it Geralt will find himself in the painted world. Here you need to find Iris von Everek's memories and restore them.

Memories in chronological order:
1. Iris and Olgerd in the gazebo - take the artist's palette on the bench - put it on the table; there will be a book on the railing of the gazebo - put it in Olgerd's hand. When you do this, bees will attack you, burn them with the Igni sign.
2. Iris and Olgerd near the fountain - you will find a glass on the fountain - put it in Iris's hand. After the cutscene, you will be attacked by ghost spiders (exit to open space where they are easier to counter).
3. Dinner - light two candles on the table (near the people) and kindle the fireplace using the Igni sign. A ghost will attack you, after defeating it, go to the second floor.
4. Bedroom - the towel will be on the floor - put it near Olgerd.
5. Workshop -take a glass on the bedside table with a candle, you will find fruits behind Iris. After that, interact with the counter near Olgerd: put the apple on the right, the grapes on the left, and the glass in the center. Next, go to the office to Olgerd. A lot of ghosts will attack you in the corridor - don't let yourself be surrounded.
6. Laboratory - take the candles from the table and arrange them in a circle in which the pictogram is inscribed. A fire will start, in order to get out of it, run into the picture, you will be transferred to the courtyard of the estate. There will be a snowstorm, quickly run through the open basement doors.
7. Basement - marriage contract find it on the floor in the center - give it to father Iris, the mug will be to the left of the barrel - give it to Olgerd. Rise to the top.
8. Gloomy Dinner - take a tray with food near the fireplace - give it to the Keymaster, a large bowl in front of the table - put it near the dog, you will find a small bowl near the fireplace - put it near the cat.

Stage 5: Fear

After restoring all memories, take Olgierd's letter on the table, after reading it, appear "Iris's Biggest Fear".

You will be surrounded by 6 ghosts, they attack I'll be one at a time don't touch the main thing other ghosts during the fight, then everyone will attack you. A sign will help in battle Aard (the sign does not affect the last one), try not to move far from the enemy, if this happens, they will make a dash with which they can kill you.

Stage 6: flower

After dealing with the ghosts, you will finally talk to Iris. You can take a rose from her.

He will be waiting for you in the tavern, he will tell you to bring Olgerd to the Lilvani sanctuary (to the northeast of the Steiger village)

Additionally: Olgerd's man will tell us that Shani was here and was looking for Geralt, go to her clinic. Shani will tell us about Professor Shazlok - he could help to learn more about Mr. Mirror. Go with Shani to the university. The guards will only let Shani through, but she will help you get into the university, to do this, go around the building from the coast, there will be several utopians, it will not be difficult to kill them. Climbing up the rope, go to the professor's house, on the way you will have 5 witch hunters. First deal with the crossbowman and the battle will be much easier. The professor's house will be locked, there will be a staircase opposite the door, climb it and use the Aard sign on the doors, you will find yourself inside. There will be a professor on the lowest floor, after talking with him you will learn the details of the agreement between Olgerd and about Dima. After the end of the dialogue, leave the university, leave the house and climb the tower using the stairs and jump into the water.

Stage 2: Lilvani Shrine

In the sanctuary you will meet with Olgerd, giving him a rose, Gunther will appear. Here you can choose two options:

Option 1: you choose the side of o "Dima. All you need to do is wait until everything is over, and then choose your reward.

Option 2: You decide to help Olgerd.

In order to save Olgerda, you need to win in a game that Mr. Mirror invented.

You will be moved to a gloomy place and given a riddle - find out who Gunther o "Dim is and find him (if you took the rose from Iris and talked with the professor, it will be easier to guess). This quest is for a while, so immediately run to the bridge below (avoid the fights with ghosts, because of them you will lose a lot of time), then keep to the right side, when you hear the cry "Help" go there. There will be a destroyed bridge nearby, jump over it and run to the house.

Here you can find a drawing of a poisoned silver sword of the snake school. To find it, you need to follow the left path after the bridge.

In the house down the corridor you will see a mirror, run to it. The corridor will fail (hold the jump button to reduce damage after falling). After you have fallen, look for the fountain (to the right of the place of the fall) behind it, break the wall with Aard.

You have solved the riddle.

Reward: Sword "Magnificent Carabella" with a unique effect

« stone hearts» start with a contract. A certain Olgerd von Everek, a connoisseur of art and the leader of a gang of robbers, asks Geralt to kill a huge toad that started up in the dungeons of Oxenfurt. Fools say - if you kiss this toad, it will turn into a handsome prince. Many girls went on a date with her, but never returned.

The contract leads to unexpected consequences, and Geralt is forced to conclude a contract with a creature calling himself the Glass Man. Olgerd once also made a deal with him and asked for the fulfillment of three wishes from an outsider. And it just so happened that it was Geralt who would have to fulfill the whims of the robber - in order to pay his own debt to the mysterious executor of desires.

A question of price

Each order of Olgerd tells separate story with its mood and genre. It can be a light-hearted comedy, an action-packed adventure in the spirit of " Ocean's Eleven or melancholic gothic horror.

A similar manner of changing the style of narration is typical for the Wild Hunt, however, the environment also changes there (in Skellige, even without any history, you feel like you are in another game), and in Stone Hearts all events take place in the vicinity of Oxenfurt. However, now there are an order of magnitude more villages, "question marks" and side quests, and each "desire" has its own scenery. The contrast between the stories is striking.

Oxenfurt itself was also gradually transformed and even supplemented with previously inaccessible territory. You didn’t think that you wouldn’t visit the main attraction of the city, did you?

Despite differences in atmosphere, characters, and settings, the story holds together. Even if you seem to have forgotten about von Everek and his feud with the Glass Man, Geralt continues to learn more and more about his life and difficult character, and even the most successful jokes (and there is plenty of humor here) do not drive away the sinister shadow hanging over the witcher . The colors gradually thicken, every now and then hints of the dark essence of the Glass Man come out, and even the most joyful scenes acquire a smack of mystical menace.

Man of his word

The appearance of a new item enchantment mechanic means one thing: the money in the second half of the game finally has something to spend on. If you help an Ophir enchanter, he can do crazy things with Geralt's weapons and armor - for crazy money. For example, to force the sword to transfer the sign of Axii from a dead enemy to his partner or to spit with fire. And for an additional fee, the enchanter will pick up cells for runes in any sword and armor for you, there would be a desire.

Over the Russian voice acting obviously worked hard, but reasons for nit-picking are inevitable. In one particularly curious scene, the English-speaking Geralt sounds very ordinary, and the Russian-speaking one even overdid it a little.

In order to benefit from powerful spells, the Oxenfurt outskirts were flooded with high-level monsters and bandits. Of the newcomers here are boars, arachnomorphs and the knights of the Order of the Flaming Rose. Yes, the same ones from the first part. What they forgot in the Velensky forests and why they hunt for robbery, you can find out in one of the side quests.

The behavior of all new creatures has been thoroughly worked out, even ordinary boars can not only hang you on tusks, but also kick if Geralt goes behind them. But most attention was paid to new bosses - each has a rich set of attacks, each is dangerous and requires effort.

However, the main problem of the Wild Hunt bosses has not gone away: the fight is still reduced to jumping from side to side, dodging, sometimes - abusing the Quen sign and juggling items from the inventory. Therefore, the more powerful your opponent, the more tiring the fight, and towards the end, such a tenacious bitch will come out against Geralt that Kashchei will seem like an endriaga. The victory algorithm is always the same, and the developers have clearly given up on experiments like the Kayran from Assassins of Kings.

In one scene, you will be asked to replace the circus shooter and knock down apples. So it is tempting to check: what if Geralt hits an elf? The developers have thought of this moment.

voice of reason

In "Hearts of Stone" you can feel the attention to detail: in the elaboration of locations, characters, dialogues, individual scenes. Shani's house is hung with anatomical pictures and teeming with patients, and at the crossroads where the Glass Man makes an appointment for you, you can hear an interesting song of the village children, but only at a certain time. The game now and then gives references not only to world culture (in one scene Geralt quotes Leo Tolstoy), but also to past Witchers. Sometimes - in the most unexpected forms.

Mindfulness in the supplement is not just encouraged, but sometimes simply necessary. The Witcher never led the story forks by the hand, did not notify which of your choices the game would “remember” and which would not. In "Hearts of Stone" you can face completely unexpected consequences of a seemingly trifling choice. Unexpected, not because they are illogical, but because it is so usual do not do.

For example, in one detective quest, after the first clue, the game offers to make a reasonable conclusion, return to the employer - and receive a reward. But if you yourself want well look around, you will find out the whole truth and find a different solution.

A variety of things depend on your desire to explore the game and think about the choice - for example, whether you can find blueprints for new witcher armor, the ending to Shani's elegant bed scene, and even whether Geralt will get the opportunity to influence the ending of the entire game. In a certain scenario, you may not know that there is actually more than one ending in the supplement. Well, now you know, but you might not know.

Remember firmly: Hearts of Stone encourage the inquisitive.

Not every choice has real consequences - but it can at least lead to a curious scene or cue. You never know what might change your destiny.

* * *

"Hearts of Stone" does exactly what you expect from a good story about a witcher: they take the classic story about the insidious "grandfather of desires" and retell it in their own way, with a special "witcher" flavor. And how they retell! This is a great addition. Just the way the game deserves.
