Zoo terra natura in benidorm. Terra Natura in Benidorm - modern zoo Spain benidorm zoo

Terra Natura ZOO is a theme natural park in Benidorm, in our opinion, just a zoo. The difference between the Terra Natura park and the zoos familiar to us and familiar from childhood is that not only animals, but also various types of plants (flora) are represented in the Terra Natura park. In addition, Terra Natura is a modern zoo in which comfortable living conditions have been created for its inhabitants, as close as possible to the natural habitat of animals, without the use of visible barriers (where this is possible, predators are, of course, an exception). Thanks to such barriers, visitors have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the world of wildlife.

On the territory of the park there are places of a petting zoo, here you can touch some harmless animals or birds, ride a donkey or a pony, see how elephants or a camel are fed from your hands, and also enjoy shows that take place twice a day in the arena of the park.

Next to Terra Natura is the Aqua Natura water park. You can visit each park individually or purchase a combined ticket to two parks at once.

Terra Natura is divided into four thematic zones: Pangea, America, Asia and Europe. Each zone corresponds to animals living in one or another part of the world.

The transitions from animals to animals are made in the form of shady paths, walking along which is already a pleasure in itself. Peacocks roam freely around the park.

Pangea zone in Terra Natura park

Pangea is the entrance to the zoo. Snakes and insects live here. There are also: cash desks, a souvenir shop, a cafe, toilets, a medical center, a mother and child room, luggage storage, etc. This area is very colorfully stylized.

Zone America (America)

The second largest area of the park. In this area you can see birds: parrots, pink flamingos, ducks, geese, etc. All of them are at arm's length from you.

Monkeys, turtles, jaguars, panthers, leopards and other small but no less cute animals

petting zoo area

Zone Asia (Asia) in the park Terra Natura

The largest and most central part of the zoo. Here are elephants, camels, monkeys, lions, tigers, crocodiles, hippos, ungulates, birds of prey and other animals that live in Asia.

In addition to the wildlife in the Asia zone, there are cafes and a picnic area, as well as a playground and Multiventura / Multiventura, where you can relax and have fun, not only for children, but also for adults, overcoming various obstacles.

There is an arena where, twice a day, performances with the participation of animals and birds of prey unfold before your eyes. Shows take place at 12:00 and 16:00.

Zone Europe (Europa) in the park Terra Natura

The third largest area of the Terra Natura park.

Well, what animals basically live in Europe? That's right, mostly cute and pretty harmless! Europe is a petting zoo. Here you can pet, feed and just walk with them along the equipped paths.

On the territory of the zoo and water park is located 4-star Magic Natura Animal, Waterpark Polynesian Lodge Resort .

The hotel occupies a fairly large area on which the bungalows are located. The bright and airy bungalows are air-conditioned and offer free Wi-Fi. All bungalows are equipped with a microwave, a flat-screen TV, a private terrace and a bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries.

The hotel offers stunning views of Terra Natura Park. For leisure, guests can enjoy the many water attractions and take part in day/night safaris or environmental and science workshops.

Terra Natura opening hours

The park is open to visitors all year round.

The opening hours of the park are from 10:30 or 11:00 to 17:30, 18:00, 18:30 or 19:30, depending on the season and day of the week.

Ticket prices for Terra Natura

Zoo "Terra Natura" is a completely unusual type of theme parks - here visitors can interact with animals with virtually no barriers. Guests of the zoo are happy to make an exciting journey filled with vivid impressions and discoveries.

Terra Natura is an amazing place, because the environment in which the local wild animals live is as close as possible to natural natural conditions. Man and nature in this zoo in the literal sense of the word are combined. The zoo consists of four thematic zones, three of which represent Asia, America and Europe, and the fourth contains poisonous animals. The number of inhabitants is more than 1500 different animals, 54 of which are endangered. For visitors, interesting shows with the participation of wild animals are regularly arranged. For example, feeding wild tigers or elephants. For the most inquisitive guests, the zoo has extensive educational information - posters with curious details from the field of biology and other useful information are hung everywhere, and even detailed models of various animals and insects.

Communication with the inhabitants of the zoo takes place constantly - you are allowed to enter some enclosures with animals, you can pet wild deer and goats. The kids are really excited about this. If you come to Benidorm, it is impossible to pass by Terra Natura, because from here you will take away a whole sea of new pleasant impressions.

We live in a small town where the entertainment industry for children is rather underdeveloped. Therefore, while on vacation on the Costa Blanca (Spain) in Benidorm, we decided to visit several amusement parks so that the trip would be remembered by the child for a long time. I will immediately note the main advantage of Benidorm over other resort areas, since theme parks are located within the city, or at its limits. Everywhere there is public transport, however, taxis are inexpensive. Everything is available, there is no need to take additional sightseeing tours.

Terra Mitica Amusement Park (Land of Myths)

We got to the park by regular bus number 1, sat down at a stop near the hotel and drove for about 40 minutes. Back, tired of the heat and attractions, we took a taxi, it cost about 12 euros to our hotel (Playa de Levante), about 2 times more expensive than by bus, but we arrived with a breeze and managed to have lunch (we rushed 15 minutes before the restaurant closed, so it was worth it).

Terra Mitica Amusement Park.

The first decade of June is not the peak of the season, but the first thing that awaited us at the entrance was the line at the cashier. Since the son was not yet 4 years old, the passage for him was free. Now about the park itself. Terra Mitica is an attraction for children and adults of different age groups, scattered over several main thematic areas: Egypt, Greece, Rome.

Egypt

The walk begins with ancient Egypt. At the entrance there are steles with hieroglyphs, statues, a small artificial lake, on which you can ride on a catamaran stylized as a flamingo, swan or dragon.

At the entrance to the Egyptian zone.

Unfortunately, the child did not have a life jacket of the right size, so the boat trip on the lake had to be abandoned.

Not without buying tokens, which are used to pay for rides in this part of the park. For some entertainment, my child turned out to be too small (there are restrictions on growth), others were not to my liking (I got scared). But we climbed on the figurines of a hippopotamus and a crocodile, with pleasure looked at the Egyptian flavor and the water path with ducks.

Greece

Entrance to the Greek part of the park.

Enthusiastic tourists emerged from the minotaur's labyrinth, where light blasters can be fired at monsters.

With a small child, we needed simpler entertainment, but we didn’t want to spend all the time on nursery carousels. So my husband and I decided to take it in turns, while the other parent walks with the baby, to choose and visit a couple of adult attractions. The husband expressed his desire: “Ride the Shinkope Wheel” is a breathtaking spinner with a breathtaking queue. BUT my son and I went to explore the arena of the Colosseum and other local attractions: replicas of statues of gods and heroes, witnessed an impromptu show from ancient times.

Later, I was lucky enough to get a little adrenaline rush on a roller coaster.

Rome

In this part of the park, all the dreams of my child came true, we found attractions for his age: cars, reduced copies of large attractions, rode (together with my mother) on a unicorn, rose into the air on carousels in the form of ducks.

Children's attraction (copy of an adult).

The child was very pleased with everything.

The main colorful light and music show takes place in the evening, the Zeus attraction opens, but to endure so much under the scorching sun (and with a small child) is absolutely impossible. Huge queues for cool adult rides in the morning. It is better to come to Terra Mitica after a midday siesta.

Terra Natura

Across the road from the Terra Mitica amusement park, we noticed several more interesting places: the vast Terra Natura Zoo and, as its continuation, the Aqua Natura mega water park.

I'm going to Terra Natura (dummy car).

At the entrance to the park you are met by giant steel insects: ants, dragonfly, grasshopper. There are a lot of sculptures and compositions dedicated to animals in the park. and their natural habitats.

Riding a tiger.

There are various shows with animals. We especially remember the Birds of Prey show. The main action took place in the arena below, and owls and hawks walked between the rows of spectators, accompanied by a charming trainer.

Birds of prey among the spectators.

You could take a photo with a hawk on your head. With jewelry precision, the bird landed on the viewer, never hitting anyone with its powerful claws.

There are a lot of animals, the enclosures are large and spacious, exhausting heat.

There are small seating areas for visitors with small children.

about. Benidorm

From whatever point on the coast you would not look at the sea, the eye will certainly linger on a tiny piece of land somewhere in the distance. This rocky island is proudly called the island of Benidorm by the locals. A pleasure boat pulled out of the dock, taking our family on a new adventure. The road was short, we moored to a small rocky island covered with stingy vegetation.

We sail to the island.

Here we were immediately transferred to the submarine.

Submarine.

The bottom of this semi-submarine turned out to be absolutely transparent. Schools of fish were clearly visible: fry, juveniles, fish from the palm to the elbow, there were also very large specimens.

Under water.

I did not expect to see such a variety of waterfowl in one turn around the island. After an underwater odyssey, we were dropped off on an island. The only thing that was there was an aviary with a plucked peacock and a shabby cafe (not working), where people waited out the time until the boat arrived on the mainland. We went to explore the island, the true owners of which were colonies of seagulls.

Seagulls and chicks.

We fed the birds and admired the chicks of different ages, which now and then ran across the road. After walking among the birds and cacti, we set off on the way back, towards the bustle of the city and the well-maintained sandy beach.

We sail to the city of Benidorm.
