Before processing, the raw materials are sorted by color, then they are processed and various unnecessary parts are manually removed: rubber, paper and various plastics. This procedure increases the density of the resulting processed mass and further simplifies its application.

Advantages of PET bottles:
- When compared with a glass bottle, the plastic one weighs much less, about 10-15 times. This simplifies transportation and does not require large packaging costs;
- Possibility of utilization and recycling of material;
- PET can be dyed any color.
But plastic products also have one flaw- this is a low barrier level, since when used, oxygen and UV are passed, while releasing carbon dioxide from the inside. This degrades the quality by shortening the retention period of the content. However, due to additional protective layers, this disadvantage loses its strength.
The multilayer PET bottle is a proven, reliable technology in general. Between the layers of polyethylene terephthalate, one to five layers of another polymer are added, which absorbs oxygen (it is called active) or protects against the penetration of UV and gases (this barrier is called passive). Of course, the cost of a multilayer bottle will be slightly higher, but it is no longer recyclable.
Production of PET containers
The production of PET containers needs a well-ventilated area of about 30 square meters, where all the necessary equipment can be placed. The height of the ceilings must reach at least 4 m. The floor must be either concrete or tile. It is important that the walls are treated with non-combustible material. Equally important is the presence of electricity and water supply.
