Lenten salad with radish. A small selection of delicious summer radish salads. Salad with radish, cucumber and egg

Radish salads are a healthy fortified dish that must be included in the diet of the whole family in spring and summer. Such salads are usually incredibly easy to prepare, so you can experiment with them almost every day, and the availability of products makes such salads budget and economical. Despite the fact that radish salads are prepared in just a matter of minutes, their benefits can hardly be overestimated, because fresh vegetables and herbs, which are most often the ingredients of such salads, are a real storehouse of vitamins and minerals. Not to mention the main character himself.

Such a simple-looking radish is fraught with a lot of useful properties for our health. First of all, radishes are valued for their fiber content, which promotes proper digestion. Few people know that radish has 2.5 times more fiber than apples - in this regard, the vegetable effectively suppresses hunger, speeds up metabolic processes and stimulates the breakdown of fats. Radish is rich in vitamins A, B and E, and a 100-gram bunch of this root vegetable boasts a daily requirement of vitamin C. The pink root vegetable will also delight you with a large amount of minerals (calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and sodium), vegetable protein (more than in zucchini and tomatoes) and anthocyanins, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Radish has a beneficial effect on the health of the cardiovascular and nervous system, strengthens the immune system, protects against beriberi, improves intestinal microflora and blood circulation, stabilizes blood sugar, lowers cholesterol, relieves swelling, removing excess fluid from tissues, and is an excellent prophylactic remedy for many ailments. Extremely low calorie content (14-16 kcal per 100 g) makes radishes an excellent helper for those who lose weight and adhere to a healthy diet. Despite such a wide list of useful properties of radishes, it is still not worth abusing the root crop, especially on an empty stomach.

Choosing a quality radish for salads is very simple - the root crop must be hard, while having a uniform color without any spots and a smooth surface without damage and cracks. It is best to purchase radishes with tops - this will make it easier for you to conclude that the vegetable is fresh. By the way, you should not store radishes in the refrigerator for a long time (more than 1 week), as starch accumulates in it, increasing the calorie content of the vegetable, while the beneficial properties decrease.

Radish salads can be supplemented with the following ingredients - cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, onions, boiled potatoes, boiled beets, tomatoes, celery, green onions, dill, parsley, wild garlic, boiled eggs, cheese, crab meat, canned corn, boiled or canned beans, boiled chicken, boiled beef, olives, garlic... Agree, there is where to roam! As a dressing for such salads, you can use vegetable oil, sour cream or mayonnaise, and for more dietary options - lemon juice or natural yogurt.

Undoubtedly, radish salads are incredibly tasty, fragrant and healthy. Are you already looking forward to this smell of spring and freshness? Then let's hurry to the kitchen!
