Codifier is a list of works, skills, knowledge and definitions necessary for the successful completion of the final exam in literature. This guideline for teachers and students is published annually by FIPI so that we narrow down our searches and focus on the information that will definitely come in handy at X-hour. This list contains the main elements that make up literary criticism, that is, the necessary terms and information from the history of science. They are needed for a competent and in-depth analysis of books. It is the analysis skill that is tested in tasks 16 and 17, where the student must give extended answers to questions, reason and give arguments from what they have read.

What do you need to read to pass the exam? The list of works for the exam in 2018 is also attached to the codifier. It turns out that not all the books that pass at school will be needed for the final test. Only a few (and not the most difficult) of them made the list. Therefore, the stage of preparation devoted to "rereading" will not take long, given the fact that the bulk of the necessary literature was passed quite recently and has not yet had time to forget. Thus, a graduate needs a codifier to save time and direct his efforts in the right direction. Use it as a fundamental and generally accepted guide to self-preparation.

It is worth noting that not the most difficult books were chosen for the exam. For example, Doctor Zhivago, which is not beloved by everyone, is extremely rare in variants, since its study in the codifier of works is called “survey”, that is, there will be no full-scale test of knowledge of the content of this novel. In addition, in some cases, you can choose a novel. For example, from Bulgakov's prose, a student may prefer either The Master and Margarita or The White Guard. It is not necessary to read both novels, it is enough to choose a simpler one. Thus, the list of books for the exam in literature is very useful information for those who want to minimize the time spent on preparation.

The program does not include many verses, which also facilitates the preparation process. All these poems are connected thematically. Therefore, their systematic reading guarantees the absence of problems with task 16, where it is necessary, by analogy, to select similar works and tell what they have in common with the one given in the question. Of course, you don’t need to learn them by heart, but you can make thematic selections of poetic works for yourself and write out your impressions of each of them.

If you plan to take the exam in literature in the 2018-2019 academic year, it's time to find out how to effectively organize the preparation for the exam, and what list of references you need to work out.

But, before moving on to the intricacies of preparation, let's fight over who needs to take literature and what is the complexity of this subject.

Features of the exam in literature

Quite often, schoolchildren underestimate the level of complexity of KIMs in the subject of "literature". Of course, in this subject there are no complex formulas, as in physics or mathematics, and the oral part, as in a foreign language. But, there are some features that you should not turn a blind eye to when choosing subjects for a unified state exam, namely:

  • orientation of KIMs to the program of specialized philological classes;
  • a large amount of information that must not only be remembered, but also be able to analyze;
  • the ability to competently and beautifully express their thoughts based on literary works.

If all three points do not cause problems and at the same time you really want to connect your life with philology, journalism or cinema or theater - feel free to include literature in the list of subjects of the Unified State Examination of your choice and start intensive training.

Basic information about the exam in literature:

  • duration - 3 hours 55 minutes (235 minutes);
  • Russian language;
  • there is no possibility of using additional materials.

Innovations 2019

Since in 2018 the KIMs in literature were brought to the optimal form, in the opinion of FIPI specialists, one should not expect significant changes in the structure and volume of tickets. Sergei Kravtsov (Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science) said that the Unified State Examination should become as stable as possible, which will facilitate the preparation of graduates and make it possible to compare the results of different years. Most likely, only minor adjustments will be made to those assignments that raised a number of questions among the 2018 graduates.

The main task of the USE in literature is to test the knowledge of graduates in the history and theory of literature, the formation of practical skills in perceiving a work of art and its in-depth analysis, as well as the ability to briefly, beautifully and competently express their thoughts, arguing a point of view.

Among the innovations you can expect:

  • tightening the criteria for checking essays;
  • the introduction of new works in the list of literature for those who pass the exam in 2019.

We invite you to learn about the most important innovations of 2018 from the video prepared by Rosobrnadzor.

The structure of KIMs in literature

In the 2018-2019 academic year, the literature ticket will consist of two blocks:

Thus, in almost 4 hours, graduates of the 11th grade will have to cope with 17 tasks. Experts recommend taking the first 2 hours to block No. 1, and devoting the rest of the time to working on the essay.

Since each USE ticket in literature of the 2019 sample will contain questions on 7 main eras, it is worth including works that relate to such topics in the list of literature for preparation:

  • ancient Russian literature;
  • literature of the 18th century;
  • literature of the 1st and 2nd half of the 19th century;
  • works of the late 19th and early 20th centuries;
  • literature of the 20th century;
  • works of contemporary authors of the late XX - early XXI century.

Evaluation

For correctly completed 17 tasks, the examinee can score a maximum of 58 primary points:

Job type Number of tasks Points
TOTAL 17 58
Short answer 12 12
Detailed response 14 32
The writing 1 14

In this case, the essay is checked according to 5 main criteria:

  1. Relevance to the topic and the degree of its disclosure.
  2. The presence of argumentation with reference to the text of the work.
  3. The presence of reliance on literary concepts.
  4. The compositional integrity of the work and the logic of the author's reasoning.
  5. Literacy and compliance with speech norms.

Important! If, according to criterion No. 1, the expert marks "0 points", the task is not checked further and is considered not completed.

Secrets of preparation

Of course, choosing literature as one of the subjects of the USE 2019, you won’t even think about going to the exam without thorough preparation, which includes not only a thorough study of works from the FIPI list, but also the practice of writing essays.
