bow to the ground

(30) Turn away from them and wait, for they too are waiting.

If the wicked treat you like true ignoramuses and ask you to speed up the promised punishment, then turn away from them and wait until a painful punishment befalls them. This retribution will certainly come at the time fixed for it, and when that time comes, it will not be delayed. As for the wicked, they also look forward to the vicissitudes of fate befalling you. They hope that misfortunes will fall to your lot, but after all, a good end is for God-fearing.

(29) Say: "On the Day of Judgment, the unbelievers will not benefit from their faith, and they will not receive a reprieve."

On the day when the final judgment is pronounced, the unbelievers will be punished and will not be able to help themselves. If they had been given a reprieve on the Day of Judgment to make up for what they had lost after the truth had become clear to them, then they might wish for the coming of the Day of Judgment as soon as possible. However, in the Hereafter they will not be given the opportunity to go through another test, because it will be simply impossible not to believe in the truth. They will not be given a reprieve to make up for lost time.

(28) They say: "When will this judgment be done if you speak the truth?"

Unbelieving criminals are asking to speed up the promised Hour of Judgment, thereby trying to expose the lies of God's messengers, and this testifies to their ignorance and hostility. They say: “When will your promise come true? When will the decision on our punishment be made? May it come true soon if you are telling the truth."

(27) Do they not see that We drive water to the dry land and bring forth crops with it, which feed their cattle and themselves? Can't they see [it]?

Do they not see God's mercies and the perfection of divine wisdom? Allah pours rain on dry land, where there is no vegetation, and all kinds of plants and crops grow on it. These plants serve as food for animals and food for humans. Do people not see this mercy that revives the withered earth and encourages people? They are obliged to see this mercy with their eyes, realize it with their hearts and embark on a straight path. However, they are blind to the truth and ignore God's signs. They do not look at the world around them through the eyes of prudent people, because their eyes are careless and careless. And so they cannot take the straight path.

(26) Did it not lead them to a straight path because We destroyed before them so many generations, in whose dwellings they walk? Verily, there are signs in this. Will they not listen?

Is it not enough for the unbelievers who reject the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that they walk through the ruins of the dwellings in which the peoples of Hud, Salih and Lut lived, each of which was subjected to a painful punishment? Verily, these clear signs testify to the truthfulness of God's messengers and the depravity of villains and polytheists. And if people follow in the footsteps of their unbelieving predecessors, then the fate that befell these unbelieving peoples awaits them. These signs also testify that Allah Almighty punishes His servants for the committed atrocities and will certainly resurrect them on the day of the gathering and the Last Judgment. Will people not heed the signs of their Lord after this? Will they not learn useful lessons for themselves? And if they are able to listen and have common sense, then they will cease to commit acts that doom them to certain death.

(25) On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will judge between them in what they differed [in opinion].

There were many contradictions between the sons of Israel. Some of them turned out to be right, others made mistakes, and still others deliberately turned away from the truth. When the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah Almighty will judge between them in that in which they differed. Answers to some of the contradictions that existed between the sons of Israel can be found in the Holy Quran. This Scripture confirms the veracity of those views of the sons of Israel, which corresponded to the truth. As for the views of their opponents, they were erroneous.

(24) We created among them leaders who led the rest according to Our command to the straight path, because they were patient and confidently believed in Our signs.

Some of the sons of Israel, Allah Almighty made worthy of emulation leaders who were well versed in matters of religion and the requirements of faith. They themselves walked the straight path and led the rest. The Scripture sent down to the sons of Israel was a guide to this path. Among them were the believing leaders who, by the will of Allah, explained to people the straight path, as well as ordinary believers who followed in the footsteps of their leaders. The first category of believers included truthful people who managed to rise to the highest level, which is only accessible to the followers of the prophets and messengers. And they achieved this thanks to the fact that they showed due patience. They patiently studied religion and taught it to those around them, patiently preached faith in Allah, steadfastly endured all difficulties along the way, avoided sins and kept themselves from base passions. And along with this, they confidently believed in the signs of Allah. Their faith was so strong that it grew into a firm conviction, which means correct knowledge, which obliges a person to perform righteous deeds. They achieved a firm conviction by studying the religion of Allah from reliable sources and relying on evidence that left no doubt about its veracity. They studied the laws of their Lord and the evidence supporting them until they were fully convinced of the validity of their knowledge. And this means that it is patience and conviction that help a person become a role model in religion.

(23) We gave Musa [Moses] the Book, and do not hesitate to meet him [to meet Musa or Musa's meeting with Allah]. We have made it [the Scripture] a sure guide for the children of Israel [Israel].

Musa was sent down with the Torah, testifying to the truth of the Qur'an just as the Qur'an testifies to its truth. The revelations sent down in them are equally true, and their truth is equally provable. O Muhammad, do not doubt that you will meet Musa. The veracity of the knowledge sent down to you has been proven and beyond doubt.

As for the Scripture of Musa, it was a guide to the straight path for the sons of Israel. It contained prescriptions concerning the main and secondary issues of the religion of the sons of Israel, corresponding to the requirements of that time. As for the Qur'an, it is a guide to the straight path for all mankind. It explains how people should take care of their worldly and spiritual life, and the laws revealed in it will be valid until the Day of Judgment. The Almighty said: “Verily, he is with Us in the Mother of the Scripture [Keeped Tablet]. He is exalted, full of wisdom” (43:4).

(22) Who can be more unjust than someone who was reminded of the verses of his Lord, after which he turned away from them? Verily, We will avenge the sinners.

No one can be more unjust than the one who turns away from the verses of the Supreme Lord. Qur'anic verses help a person to approach Allah, who calls slaves to good manners and good manners, sends messengers to them and overshadows them with comprehensive care. These verses contain religious precepts, teach people everything that can bring them material and spiritual benefit, and warn them against everything that can harm their worldly life or faith. People are obliged to believe in the Scripture, which has such qualities, submit to it and thank Allah for sending it down. However, the wicked do the opposite. They refuse to believe in the Qur'anic verses and do not follow the Qur'anic injunctions. On the contrary, they turn their backs on Holy Scripture and consign it to oblivion. Indeed, they commit the greatest crime and deserve the most severe punishment.

(21) But besides the greatest torment, We will certainly give them a taste of the lesser torment, so that they can return [to the straight path].

Unbelievers and sinners also face punishment in the grave, which is inferior in severity to punishment in Hell. Some of them will be punished while still alive on earth, because they will be killed, executed or punished in some other way. This is what happened to the pagans who died in the battle of Badr. And some of them will be punished at the moment of parting with worldly life. The Almighty said: “If you saw the wicked when they find themselves in their death throes, and the angels stretch out their hands to them: “Give your souls! Today you will be rewarded with humiliating torments because you spoke lies about Allah and exalted yourself over His signs” (6:93). And as soon as they lose their lives, this punishment develops into a punishment in the grave, which lasts until the Day of Judgment.

Sura As-Sajda(Bow) consists of 30 verses. It was sent down after Surah al-Mu'minun (The Believers). The sura indicates that the Quran is a true sign sent down by Allah, and the mission entrusted by Allah to the Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! The sura tells about the creation of heaven and earth and how Allah alone controls all things, and about the stages of the creation of man by Allah.

In this sura, the words of the infidels who deny the resurrection are given, an answer is given to them and arguments are given against their fabrications. It describes the state of sinners on the Day of Judgment and says how believers, when reminded of the signs of Allah, fall on their faces, worshiping Him. The sura also speaks of retribution for the believers and the wicked. The verses are given about the sending down of the Torah to Musa (may Allah bless him and welcome)! - and it is said about the attitude of Allah Almighty to the sons of Israel. The sura contains an appeal to the unbelievers of Mecca to pay attention to the death of the peoples who lived before them, and to reflect on the need to believe in the resurrection. The sura also gives an answer to the ridicule of the unbelievers over the day of victory. The main goals of this sura are: to draw people's attention to the signs of Allah in the Universe; to the inevitability of the resurrection and to the answer to unbelievers who deny it, to the advice of the wicked - to understand how the peoples that preceded them died, and to draw an instructive lesson from this.

It is reported that Sahl ibn Sa'd, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “(Once) I was in the company of the Prophet ﷺ, who described (to those present) Paradise, having finished doing this, he said: “In Paradise there is something that the eye did not see what the ear did not hear and what the human heart did not even imagine, ”(after which) he read (verses in which it is said):“ ... those who move away with their sides from the beds, crying out to their Lord with fear and hope, and spend out of what We have given them. And (not a single person) knows what joy is hidden for them as a reward for what they did” (as-Sajda, 32:16-17). Narrated by Muslim (2825).

It is reported that Mu'adh ibn Jabal, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “(Once) I said:“ O Messenger of Allah, tell me about such an act that will allow me to enter Paradise and remove me from the Fire? (The Prophet ﷺ) said: “You asked about a great (deed), but verily, it will be easy for whom Allah makes it easy: worship Allah and no one else along with Him, pray, pay zakat, fast during Ramadan and make Hajj to the House”. Then he said, “Shall I show you the gates of goodness? (This is) fasting (which is) a shield, and sadaqah, which extinguishes sins, just as water extinguishes fire, and a man’s prayer in the dead of night, ”after which he read (verse):“ ... those who are removed by their sides from lie, crying out to their Lord with fear and hope, and spend out of what We have given them. And (not a single) person knows what joy is hidden for them as a reward for what they did ”(al-Sajda, 32: 16-17)”.
