The fact that Margarita Sukhankina became the mother of two charming children, she hid for two whole months. Only recently the singer has become ready to tell the truth. At one time, the artist was desperately trying to get pregnant, but nothing came of it. She considers both herself and one of her four former spouses to be guilty of this.
Many years ago, I made a very big mistake: at the insistence of my husband, I had an abortion, - the singer admits. - At a later date, when our child was already three months old ... Now, I don’t call my act otherwise than stupidity, clouding of the mind.
I loved my husband very much and went on about him, - says the artist. - He was an interesting, truly talented person, a composer, which meant a lot to me, a singer. When I, happy, ran from the doctor and said that we would have a child, my husband gave me a tantrum. He shouted that we do not need this child and that we urgently need to have an abortion. I was taken aback, I didn’t understand what he was talking about: we love each other, people are adults (I was almost thirty), professionally held - I sang at the Bolshoi Theater, my voice sounded at concerts and in Mirage recordings ... And then my husband cited the main argument: “Yes, I drink, you can only have a sick freak!” He really drank heavily.
The words of her husband stunned Sukhankina, so she decided to get rid of the child. The operation went with complications, terrible bleeding began, the singer was literally on the verge of life and death. Fortunately, everything worked out.
When the second pregnancy happened, Sukhankina decided to keep the baby. But her drinking husband plagued her with scandals.
I just started having a baby. Although my husband's antics still prevented me from feeling happy, she says. - He continued to drink, drove the pregnant woman out of the house, in the middle of the night, shouting “Get out! You are the biggest trouble in my life! And I went to my parents in tears. And the next day my husband crawled to me on his knees and begged for forgiveness.
The singer's pregnancy was not easy. According to her, she experienced terrible toxicosis, while recovering by 20 kilograms, she was all swollen, her arms and legs hurt.
It would be necessary to lie down for preservation, but I have a theater, the premiere of Le nozze di Figaro is just around the corner, and I sing Cherubino, she laments. - Another premiere was a success. I finished the scheduled performances and went on maternity leave. And then the child began to behave very nervously, restlessly, spinning in his stomach without stopping, as if he was fighting some kind of battle. But the ultrasound showed nothing wrong. And one day, at the eighth month, the child suddenly calmed down. The whole day I did not feel it, and at night I woke up from the fact that my water had broken. The ambulance took me to the nearest maternity hospital, where the doctor listened to my stomach and said: “The child has already died.” It turns out that my unborn baby suffocated - for some reason, fatty degeneration of the placenta began, and the doctors missed this moment ... I vaguely remember how the midwife leaned on my stomach to help "give birth". As I was offered to look at my dead child, and I turned away - I didn’t want this picture to stand before my eyes all my life. How they bandaged my breast so that the milk was gone. And all this in an ordinary maternity hospital, where happy women in labor with babies lay.

Adoption is not easy, it is not “today I wanted it - I did it tomorrow”, it is a long process. I went a long way to this, I myself tried many times to become a mother. I always wanted to have children, I really wanted to. When I realized that I would no longer have my own, I began to think about different options. I also considered the option of artificial insemination and surrogate motherhood. And then I realized that there are a huge number of children in orphanages and that if I take someone away from there, it will be the best thing in my life - to make someone who lives in a government institution happy. My life has turned out in such a way that there were mistakes in it, which led me to this step. I did it quite consciously, having analyzed everything and consulted with my parents. Thank God, my mom and dad are alive and well, they have been living together for more than 60 years. They supported me in this matter. Initially, I wanted to take one child, but I took two, because they are inseparable - they are brother and sister. I chose them with my heart and realized that this is a one-way ticket: I will live with them all my life, no matter what happens. They will always be by my side. And I will always be there for them. And all thanks to God. Anything has happened in these five years, but we live in perfect harmony, I adore my children, they are my best. I understand that I made the right choice, it was for these two that my heart responded, so I felt them. With other wonderful children, it was not so that I was so drawn to them. It feels like they are my flesh and blood, that I gave birth to them myself.
- What would you advise to those of our readers who still hope to have their own children, until what age should this be decided?
“In my life, I realized that you don’t have to wait for anything. And in no case, if your daughter's pregnancy happened early, you should not push her to do the wrong thing. When the pregnancy came, then it was necessary. And the sooner it comes, the better. The best period, of course, is from 20 to 30 years, when a woman is in her juice. And don’t let any difficulties scare you: God gave a baby - he will give a baby too. Remember this saying. Of course, today women give birth at any age, but still it is better to decide by the age of 40. Further, it is unsafe for both the health of the woman and the health of the baby. We already have enough environmental problems. And then 40 years is the deadline.
- If the body allows you to use artificial insemination or ask another woman to carry the child, then what is the best thing to do, in your opinion - give birth to your biological child in this way or still adopt?
- Children are all equal, and I would advise you to adopt.
- How many orphanages did you visit before your heart felt: here they are, my little bloods?
- A lot, I traveled all over Moscow and the Moscow region. And I saw my children in Timur Kizyakov's program “So far, everyone is at home” under the heading “You will have a child”. He also has a website where all the children from all over Russia are collected, their life is shown there, how they grow up, how they play. It's very convenient to be able to see it that way. You look and think: I would take this baby for myself. It happened to me as well. Mine are big now. Valeria is 8 years old, Sergey is 9 years old. Both go to school: Lerochka is in the second grade, Seryozha is in the third. Successes - in every way (we have twos and fives): children are children. But they are trying very hard. I never scold grades: we only correct them. Mostly errors in the Russian language and mathematics, but more from inattention. Especially Seryozha, my boy is absent-minded, a little romantic, periodically hovers in the clouds. And Lerochka is hard in the sense that she is left-handed with us. At the same time, they both work with me additionally. Serezha goes to a music school, plays the piano beautifully. Lerochka is engaged in choreography, dancing. Serezha still goes to the sports section at the school for basketball. He loves sports. In the yard, they also put a ring on him, and he plays there. Still riding a bike. So the kids are busy from morning to night.
