Joint performances by Hvorostovsky and his wife. Hvorostovsky's ex-wife, who plagued him with endless betrayals, died of blood poisoning. Couldn't come to the funeral

People's Artist of Russia, opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky, who had suffered from oncology for a long time, died in London. The death of the singer was reported by Dmitry Malikov and Iosif Kobzon.

A terrible diagnosis - a brain tumor - was made to Dmitry Hvorostovsky, who lived in London for many years, in June 2015. When the disease became known, the artist canceled performances for two months and underwent several courses of chemotherapy in one of the cancer centers in London.

The return of Dmitry Hvorostovsky to the stage after a course of treatment took place on August 25, 2015 in New York on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera. However, in December 2016, the singer's health deteriorated and he again canceled all opera performances.

Date and place of burial

A capsule with part of the ashes of the People's Artist of Russia Dmitry Hvorostovsky will be buried in Krasnoyarsk, RIA Novosti was told in the Ministry of Culture of the Territory.

Hvorostovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk and is an honorary citizen of the region. He died on Wednesday morning in London after a long illness. At the end of June 2015, he announced that he was suffering from a brain tumor.

The department said that after parting with Hvorostovsky, a cremation procedure will take place in Moscow. One capsule with ashes will be buried at the Novodevichy cemetery, and the other - in Krasnoyarsk. The date of the funeral in the artist's hometown is still unknown.

Earlier it became known that farewell to the artist will be held in the Great Hall of the Conservatory on Monday, November 27.

First marriage

The owner of such a voice was famous for being a passionate and gentle man. His first love was born on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The first lover was the ballerina Svetlana Ivanova. But this connection was not approved by others. Svetlana was already previously married, but the reason for the breakup was her irrepressible passion for men. But Dmitry was fascinated by the dark-eyed beauty and did not listen to anyone's advice.

Dmitry's mentor Ekaterina Iofel made every effort to destroy this union. She tried to influence Hvorostovsky, refusing to communicate with him. But nothing helped. The relationship with the ballerina lasted two years, after which Dmitry moved her and her little daughter to his small room in a communal apartment. A year later, Svetlana and Dmitry got married.

The blow was not long in coming. Somehow Dmitry decided to surprise his wife and returned earlier from the tour. He bought a huge bouquet of flowers, came home and saw Svetlana in his marital bed with his close friend. Friends got into a big fight. The surrounding people considered that the relationship of the unsuccessful couple would end there. But Dmitry forgave his wife. In the early 90s, he was invited to work in the UK, and he moved his family to London.

Dmitry dreamed that Svetlana would be his support and support in everything. He wanted to appoint her as his director. But Svetlana did not want to take any part in the fate of her husband. She only wanted to devote all the time to herself and enjoy the social life of London. At first, Dmitry took it calmly. He believed that there is nothing wrong with the fact that the wife goes out. In 1996, the personal life of Dmitry Hvorostovsky went uphill, his wife bore him two children. The singer was very happy with his wife and children. He gave birth to twins: boy Danya and girl Sasha. Dmitry was sure that he did the right thing, not listening to gossip about his wife.

But everything turned out to be the opposite. Svetlana did not settle down and did not calm down after the birth of her children. She became nervous and scandalous. Major quarrels began to arise between the spouses in the house. As a result, the singer had an ulcer due to nerves. To relieve the pain, he began to drink.

Hvorostovsky was also addicted to alcohol because he was very worried about the current family situation. Later, he will talk about the time that he really drank so much that he could even lose his job.

Divorce

But while his concert activity did not stop. For one of the performances, Hvorostovsky went to Geneva. There he was to perform the part of Don Giovanni with the charming 29-year-old Florence Illy. She discovered that the famous Russian baritone was also a real handsome man and went on the attack. They had a real kiss on stage. She started with him. The sensuality of the singer of Italian-Swiss origin did not hide from Dmitry. "IM married!" he immediately declared. "So what?" - quite sincerely responded Flo.

This woman seems to have returned Dmitry Alexandrovich herself, the real one.

He again understood what tenderness and romance are, what love and care are, what quiet happiness and enjoyment of each other is - without quarrels and scandals.

Returning to London, the singer raised the issue of divorce. Svetlana could not believe it: her Dimochka, who forgave everything, put up with her for so long, gave her two beautiful kids, suddenly he himself started talking about a divorce ?! She was offended and disappointed and did not expect that this could happen. But it is difficult to be the wife of a genius - he must correspond on the one hand and develop with him on the other. Light, it seems, did not cope with this task.

In a fit of rage, the woman sued him for everything that he had at that time: real estate, cars, as well as huge alimony for children and their own maintenance (more than 8 million a year, if you count in rubles). But Hvorostovsky was no longer with her, and Florence was able to survive all this.

Second marriage - a new meaning of life

With the advent of Florence in Hvorostovsky's life, life acquired a new meaning. He stopped drinking, his popularity grew. He became an even more famous opera singer. Florence became a talisman for him. She followed her husband everywhere, constantly supported him in everything.

In 2003, the couple had a son, he was named Maxim, and four years later a daughter was born. Personal life, wife and children became the most important for Dmitry Hvorostovsky.

Florence completely immersed herself in Russian life. In the very first year of their life together with Dmitry, she learned Russian at a conversational level. On all the tours, all over the world, they went only together. Sometimes they performed in concerts together.

As soon as the singer's personal life improved, the old relationship surfaced again. His wife Svetlana appeared, who demanded to double the amount of alimony for her. The court approved her claims. Until the end of her days, she did not work anywhere, but lived only at the expense of these alimony.

After Svetlana found out about Dmitry's diagnosis, she called him for the first time in 15 years. This was their last conversation. Svetlana died before Hvorostovsky. The cause of her death was complications from meningitis. After Svetlana's death, Dmitry learned that she was very religious. She often helped temples in London. She was greatly respected by the parishioners for this.

Dmitry did not leave Svetlana's children after her death. He continued to help them. His daughter from his first marriage became an artist, and his son became interested in music.

In 2015, misfortune came to the family. Dmitry is seriously ill. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Regular chemotherapy brought relief for a short time. The singer was forced to suspend his tour, many concerts had to be abandoned. Even in the summer of this year, his performances were to take place, but the state of health did not allow the plans to be realized.

Children

A happy father with children (from left to right): Maria (daughter of the singer's first wife, whom he adopted), 21-year-old Danila and 21-year-old Alexandra (children from their first marriage to ballerina Svetlana Ivanova), 10-year-old Nina, in the second row - 15 year old Maxim.

All four of the singer's own children live in London, they maintain friendly relations with each other. Since the divorce from his first wife was scandalous and painful, Hvorostovsky rarely sees the twins from his first marriage. They still live in the British capital with Svetlana and occasionally attend the singer's rehearsals.

In an interview, the singer avoids the topic of communication with children from his first marriage, calling it very painful. But the singer's wife Florence and the singer's children support him with might and main. They not only attend concerts and rehearsals, but also often accompany Dmitry on tour. The singer is proud that Maxim and Nina already speak three languages!

He tries to raise children in love and does not even raise his voice to them. As the singer admitted in an interview, now he is striving to get home as soon as possible so that the whole family is together. Next to children, an expressive and irritable man with a complex character becomes tender and sentimental. And once Dmitry even cried when he heard his daughter Ninochka sing. The singer calls his children very talented and artistic. Who knows, maybe they will follow in the footsteps of a famous father!

Opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky can be safely called a legend of classical music. His talent was admired not only in his native Russia, but also in Italy, Germany and the USA. Spectators are accustomed to seeing always fit with a luxurious head of ashy hair. Only a few knew what a great artist he really was.

The future opera singer was born in Krasnoyarsk. His parents did not belong to the world of art, but the boy's father had a good voice and masterfully played the piano. It was he who instilled in the boy a love of music. Dmitry made his first steps in art when he was only 4 years old. Then his father put him at the piano for the first time and taught him to play the first notes.

The boy really liked playing the piano, so he studied at the music school with pleasure. He was predicted to be a pianist and was not considered at all as an opera singer. Things were much more difficult with schooling. Dmitry did not like to remember this time.

After graduating from high school, Hvorostovsky received a diploma as a music teacher. However, he decided not to stop there and develop as an opera singer. In this, his mentor Ekaterina Iofel helped him a lot. It was thanks to her efforts that Hvorostovsky gained worldwide fame.

Baritone's first wife

Dmitry met his first wife while still a little-known performer. After graduating from the university, the distribution guy ended up in the Krasnoyarsk theater. There, his paths crossed with the charming ballerina Svetlana. Dmitry could not resist a beautiful blonde with a magnificent figure and fell in love.

No one approved of this romantic connection. They tried to show Hvorostovsky the true face of Svetlana and talk about her many partners. But the man did not want to hear anything about it. He hoped that the girl would change and be faithful to him. He was not even embarrassed that at such a young age she was already married, she had a child, and after the divorce she continued to live with her ex-husband in the same apartment.

Dmitry beautifully looked after his beloved. Every day he tried to surprise her with a gift and always gave her flowers. A few months later, the girl surrendered under the pressure of a gallant gentleman and agreed to marry him.

After the wedding, Hvorostovsky moved his beloved with the child to his apartment. He even agreed to adopt Svetlana's daughter from his first marriage. It seemed that the singer met his true happiness. But it didn't last long. One day, a man found his wife in bed with her lover, and it turned out to be his friend. Hvorostovsky at that moment gave vent to his emotions and severely beat his wife and lover.

It would seem that the betrayal of his wife will lead to the collapse of the family boat. But that did not happen. The couple continued to live together. In marriage, they had two beautiful babies - Alexander and Daniel.

Trials and problems

Gradually, the career of Dmitry Hvorostovsky gained momentum. He was already cramped within the walls of the Krasnodar Theater and he and his family moved to Moscow. There, a talented opera singer was noticed. He became a permanent member of the Mariinsky Theater troupe. Offers from the best theaters around the world literally rained down on Hvorostovsky. He stopped his choice in London.

Interesting Notes:

At a time when Khvorotovsky devoted most of his time to rehearsals and concerts, Svetlana raised children. Soon the man realized that he simply did not want to return home, where his family was waiting for him. Most likely, he was never able to forgive his wife for treason, and his male pride suffered greatly from this.

In order to somehow muffle the pain, the singer sought solace in alcohol. But this did not bring him consolation. On the contrary, the problems only grew like a snowball. Hvorostovsky began to lose his voice and he developed a stomach ulcer. A new love brought him out of this state.

Salvation in love

Playing the part of Don Juan, Hvorostovsky fell in love with his stage partner. His stage partner was the charming Italian Florence. As planned by the director in the play, the main characters kissed passionately. The passion between the partners was shown not only on stage, but also passed into real life.

Florence fell in love with the singer and began to seek his location. The girl was not particularly worried about the fact that the man was married and raised two small children. Soon Dmitry realized that he had fallen in love. It was this love that helped him break out of alcohol addiction and not ruin himself.

Now Hvorostovsky was facing a divorce from his wife. This process was very long and difficult. Svetlana sued all the singer's property and ensured that he would support the children until she remarried.

Happy family

Florence became almost everything for Dmitry Hvorostovsky. But she also tried to give him the best. The girl even learned Russian. The charming wife of Hvorostovsky learned how to cook Russian dishes and delighted her beloved with them. The wife was ready to give up the stage and popularity and devote herself entirely to the family.

In the second marriage, Dmitry had two children. The eldest child was named Maxim, and the youngest daughter Nina. It was with the birth of children that the singer realized that the most important thing in life is family. He enjoyed every minute spent with his wife and children. After rehearsals and concerts, the artist immediately went home to his loved ones.

Florence became everything for Dmitry Hvorostovsky: wife, mistress, friend and muse.

Happiness lasted 15 years. Then grief came to the family. Dmitry was diagnosed with a tumor that was in the brain. The family and friends of the artist believed that the singer would overcome the disease, but the disease turned out to be stronger. A star with a beautiful voice has disappeared from the opera sky, having learned what it means to be gentle and caring, and, most importantly, a loved one.

The future opera singer was born in Krasnoyarsk. His father was a chemical engineer, and his mother worked as a gynecologist at a local hospital. However, the main hobby of the pope was music. It was to her that he devoted all his free time. He played the piano wonderfully, had a deep magic baritone voice and collected records with rare records for that time. The Hvorostovskys' music library included Ettore Bastianini, Tito Gobbi, Fyodor Chaliapin, Maria Callas. Dima quickly found idols among his father's favorites.

Noticing that the child was happy to support his father's hobby, his parents, along with a regular high school, sent him to a music school. I must say that the latter was given to him much easier. The teachers saw the boy as a future pianist, and he surprised them in no way when, after graduating from high school and receiving a disgusting testimonial, he applied not to a music school, but to a pedagogical school.

Dmitry Alexandrovich graduated from the choral faculty with honors, becoming a music teacher. And only after that he decided to get a musical education, especially since the Krasnoyarsk College of Arts during this time acquired the status of an institute.

The teachers of the new educational institution for Hvorostov characterize him as a temperamental and restless young man who was difficult to retrain from a choirmaster to a soloist. “I don’t know how to do anything?!” - the future singer boiled. Only by the third year did Dmitry begin to make those amazing successes that were expected from the very beginning from such a gifted musician.

Opera and ballet

In parallel with studying at the institute, he began to earn a living at the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater. There, at first, the young artist was given only minor parts, but having considered his talent, he was quickly promoted to soloist. For a year of work, he became the main voice of the theater. Everyone understood that the outstanding performer was bored in the provinces, so no one was surprised when Hvorostovsky began to take awards one by one, first at the All-Russian, then at the All-Union Competition, and after the institute he went international, having conquered France and Wales.

But the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater was not only a launching pad for the future star's professional activities. He also gave Hvorostovsky a real first love.

Nobody approved of this connection. His teacher, the talented Ekaterina Konstantinovna Iofel, spoke more than once about the corps de ballerina Svetlana Ivanova, using the most unflattering epithets. Beautiful, who knows how to truly conquer talents, the girl in no time rounded up the still inexperienced Hvorostovsky, who was engaged in art and did not at all deal with his personal life.

He was warned: Svetlana's first marriage did not work out because of her passions, which a woman cannot keep inside. Both men and women ended up in bed with Dmitry's beloved, despite the fact that she still lived in the same apartment with her ex-husband and little daughter. But Hvorostovsky could not be stopped: his heart was on fire, in a light, dark-eyed ballerina with a defenseless look, he saw a real muse.

Forgive

Having learned that Dmitry Alexandrovich had serious plans for this lady, his teacher Ekaterina Iofel even made an attempt to refuse him from the house. The man was offended at first and left, proudly throwing up his chin, but soon returned, fell at the feet of the mentor and asked to be allowed to marry Svetlana at least after graduation. But who is Ekaterina Konstantinovna to hinder? “We will live until Monday,” the wise woman replied, believing that, having matured, Dima would cool down. But how wrong she was!

After two years of a passionate relationship with a dissolute ballerina, Hvorostovsky moved her to his tiny room in a communal apartment, and also took her daughter Masha from her first marriage.

A year later, the couple got married. Once, wanting to please his beloved, Dmitry returned from a tour a few days earlier. I bought a huge bouquet, I decided - Sveta would be delighted with his appearance. But instead he found his wife in bed with his own friend. Blurring came over the furious opera singer.

A fight broke out.

In their circle, everyone whispered: here it is, the end. But it was not there. Young people found the strength to forgive each other, and in the early 90s Dmitry received an invitation to work in the UK, took his family and left for London.

His plans included making his wife his director, but she resolutely refused to learn the language and help her husband. She did not support his desire to develop and only wanted to enjoy social life in the strict and solemn capital of Great Britain.

Dmitry first accepted these rules of the game: let the wife keep the hearth and go out, what's wrong with that? In 1996, the Hvorostovsky family replenished: Svetlana gave birth to twins - a boy, Danya, and a girl, Alexandra. The singer was happy and thought that it was not in vain that he did not listen to gossip and did it his own way.

However, it soon became clear that Svetlana did not become calmer after the appearance of children. There were constant scandals in the family that exhausted the artist. On nervous grounds, he had an ulcer. To suppress physical pain and mental suffering, Dmitry became addicted to alcohol. He openly declares that in that marriage he really abused, so much so that at any moment he could lose his job.

Divorce

But while his concert activity did not stop. For one of the performances, Hvorostovsky flew to Geneva. "So what?" Flo answered with perfect sincerity.

But it is difficult to be the wife of a genius - he must correspond on the one hand and develop along with him on the other.

Flosha

With the advent of Flosha, as Dmitry calls her, his life began to improve. He was able to give up alcohol and become an even more famous and invited opera singer. The new wife followed him everywhere, helping, inspiring, caring. In 2003, the couple had a son, Maxim, and four years later, a daughter, Nina.

Florence quickly became involved in the life of a Russian singer and became his indispensable companion. In the very first year of her life together with Hvorostovsky, Flosha learned colloquial Russian, now she travels the world with him, and sometimes they perform together.

When Hvorostovsky's life improved, Svetlana again entered the arena and, through the court, demanded to double the amount of alimony. Until the end of her days, she lived off these alimony. In 2015, after learning that her ex-husband had been diagnosed with cancer, Svetlana called him for the first time in 15 years. But this conversation turned out to be the last: a few months later from complications after meningitis, Svetlana Hvorostovskaya died.

It turned out that the first wife of the genius was a believer, she helped the Orthodox church in London a lot, and her departure turned out to be sensitive for the parishioners of this church. Dmitry did not abandon children from Svetlana, and was engaged in raising her eldest daughter Masha, as well as their common children - Sasha, who became an artist and Dani, who is engaged in music.

Today, November 22, 2017, the famous opera singer Dmitry Hvorostovsky passed away at the age of 56. His wife and four children mourn the death of a loved one. All fans of the great artist are in deep sorrow, because such singers are rarely born.

A brain tumor caused the early death of a famous baritone. Surprisingly, during the period of illness, he was vigorous, fit, the paparazzi could not get a photo where Dmitry would look “crushed” from the disease. The singer fought as best he could, to the end.

We will tell you more about his personal life and achievements.

The personal life of Dmitry Hvorostovsky has always interested his fans, they searched the Internet for information about his wife, photos of children.

The singer never experienced a lack of attention from the female side, as he had an outstanding appearance and a rare voice. The gray hair that appeared early did not spoil Dmitry's beauty at all, he never tried to paint it over, on the contrary, he was proud of it. He himself said that this is a manifestation of genetic inheritance.

Dmitry Hvorostovsky with his first wife Svetlana and her daughter from his first marriage

He met his first wife Svetlana Ivanova, a corps de ballet dancer, back in 1986. Young people began to meet, and in 1991 they legalized the relationship. They settled permanently in London. The singer adopted a girl from Svetlana's first marriage.

But the personal life of the newlyweds did not work out, despite the fact that in 1996 they had two children at once, twins (a girl and a boy). The couple often quarreled, and once Dmitry found his wife with her lover.

When Dmitry met the Italian singer Florence Illi, he was actually still married, but this was only formal. An affair broke out between Dmitry and Florence, but he did not want to ruin the family. In 2001, Dmitry Hvorostovsky divorced his first wife, who requested a huge amount of alimony, and married Florence.

How old is Hvorostovsky's wife

Personal life with a new wife was a success, two children were born in marriage. When they first met in 1999, Florence was 29 years old. The photo shows that the son looks like a father, and the daughter looks like a mother.

Children of Dmitry Hvorostovsky

In 2015, Hvorostovsky's first wife died tragically. Two children from their first marriage followed in their father's footsteps and became musicians.

Artist's childhood

People's Artist Dmitry Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk in 1962 into an intelligent family. His parents did not have a professional relationship with art, but they had a passion for music.

Dad worked as an engineer, but he was very fond of singing, had good vocal abilities. He has amassed a large musical collection of recordings by famous singers. Most likely, his love for music and operatic singing was passed on to his children.

Alexander Stepanovich's wife worked as a gynecologist, but she also loved music - at her leisure, the whole family attended concerts and theaters.

Dima from the very beginning of his life was immersed in the world of wonderful sounds, he fell in love with music early. The boy began to sing at the age of two!

His beloved grandmother helped him in this - she had a beautiful voice, and taught her grandson to sing correctly.

Often they sang famous fragments from operas and simply folk songs in a duet. Classes served as a good lesson for the future singer.

Of course, Dima was sent to study at a music school, where he showed great success. After graduating from it, and also after receiving an incomplete secondary education, Dmitry did not hesitate for long in choosing a future profession. He immediately entered the teacher's college in the music department.

Carier start

After graduating from a secondary school, Dmitry entered the Institute of Arts, which is located in Krasnoyarsk. There he studied vocals with the teacher Ekaterina Iofel - she taught the future singer openness, spontaneity, and how to express her emotions correctly. If at first Dmitry thought only about the technically correct performance of the work, then she taught him to think about the expressive side.

Starting from the second year, Hvorostovsky began performing on the stage of the opera house as an intern. And later he was taken to performances already as a young actor. Of course, everyone immediately noticed his rare velvety baritone, extraordinary timbre and wide range of voice. The novice artist began to be trusted with serious roles in operas.

After classes with Iofel, Hvorostovsky no longer needed other mentors, since she taught him the most important thing - independent control over himself, over his feelings, voice.

By the end of his studies at the university, Hvorostovsky was already an independent and outstanding opera personality. He worked at the Krasnoyarsk Opera House until 1990.

First popularity

In 1989, the young singer announced himself as a talented person to the whole world. At 26, he won the Cardiff International Opera Competition. After such a resounding victory, Dmitry went abroad and began performing in such well-known theaters abroad as:

Dmitry Hvorostovsky on stage with Dinara Aliyeva

  • Bavarian Opera;
  • Theater Royal in London;
  • Teatro alla Scala in Milan;
  • Berlin Opera;
  • the Colon Theater in Buenos Aires;
  • Vienna Opera;
  • Metropolitan Opera in New York;
  • Lyric Opera in Chicago;
  • Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg;
  • Theater "New Opera" in Moscow, etc.

Since 1994, Dmitry Hvorostovsky lived in London, but the young singer did not forget Russia either. He often came to Moscow and St. Petersburg, performed on various stages. Together with the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, he recorded works by Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov.

The popular singer performed not only classical works. In 2009, Hvorostovsky performed at the Kremlin Palace, where he performed songs by Igor Krutoy to lyrics by L. Vinogradova. It was the presentation of a new joint album by Hvorostovsky and Krutoy.

In 1990, Hvorostovsky became an Honored Artist of Russia, and five years later, a People's Artist. He is a laureate of many awards, was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 4th class, and the Order of Alexander Nevsky. One of the asteroids is named after the singer.

Illness and death of the singer

In the summer of 2015, for the first time, a statement about the singer's cancer appeared in the press. For this reason, his concerts in England and in other countries were cancelled.

Dmitry was found to have a brain tumor, for this reason he went to an oncology clinic in London for examination and treatment.

However, the singer was not at all going to give up and lose heart. Already in September, he again appeared on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera, where he sang along with Anna Netrebko. Then Dmitry went to Russia, where he gave several concerts. In his interview, the singer stated that he does not believe in God and the afterlife.

In 2016, Hvorostovsky underwent a course of chemotherapy, because of this, his performances were canceled, including on the stage of the Vienna Opera. After treatment, the singer performed on stage in Germany. However, doctors forbade a trip to Moscow and performances at the Bolshoi Theater.

At the end of 2016, a message appeared that Dmitry was in the hospital due to acute pneumonia. But the singer did not give up, in May 2017 he performed in St. Petersburg. Then, despite a shoulder injury, Hvorostovsky performed in Krasnoyarsk. At one of the concerts, he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of his native city.

The death of the legendary opera baritone was announced by Dmitry Malikov in his social networks

The death of the operatic baritone was first reported by the composer Dmitry Malikov, he was told about this by their mutual friend, the poetess L. Vinogradova.

Already in October of this year, false information about the death of the singer appeared, so not everyone immediately believed that Hvorostovsky was gone. However, the fact of death was confirmed by the singer Iosif Kobzon. Later there was a message on television.

According to relatives of the famous baritone, he parted with life in agony. So, the composer and producer Igor Krutoy said that he called the performer a few days before his death. As a friend of Hvorostovsky said, he could hardly talk - the disease took away his world-famous voice from the singer. “If you die in full consciousness, it’s terrible,” said Steep.

ON THIS TOPIC

Hvorostovsky left four children. The two older ones are from the first marriage. Dmitry's ex-wife died after a painful illness two years ago, on December 31, 2015. Svetlana Hvorostovskaya, ex-ballerina of the Krasnoyarsk theater, burned down in just a few weeks. She was diagnosed with meningitis but didn't take it seriously enough.

Over time, the inflammation turned into blood poisoning - sepsis, which killed the 56-year-old woman. Shortly before her death, she spoke with Dmitry for the first and last time since the divorce, when she found out about his terrible diagnosis.

Svetlana married the singer in 1991. Hvorostovsky proposed to her after four years of dating. This was the first marriage for the famous singer. The future spouses met backstage at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, where Svetlana performed as a corps de ballet dancer, and Dmitry began his journey to world fame.

The singer's love was so strong that he was not embarrassed by the fact that his chosen one had a daughter from his first marriage. Hvorostovsky adopted a child, and five years after the wedding, Svetlana gave her husband twins Alexander and Daniel.

They separated in 1999. According to a friend of the singer, the reason for the gap was the betrayal of Svetlana. After the divorce, the former spouses communicated only through lawyers. Seven years ago, the mother of Hvorostovsky's children, through the court, obtained an increase in alimony from the singer. He had to pay his ex-wife more than 17 million rubles a year.

Dmitry was going through a hard divorce. He got depressed and binge drinking. Hvorostovsky said more than once that the threat to sing not on the opera stage, but perhaps at a table full of bottles was real. It was then that he began to have the first problems with the work of the brain: the baritone admitted that he had memory lapses.

website. noted that the deaths of Hvorostovsky have something in common. Both were outstanding personalities - an opera singer and a ballerina who met behind the scenes of the theater. Both died after terrible illnesses with a difference of almost two years. Both suffered greatly before their death. Maybe Svetlana Hvorostovskaya called her husband to her?
