Red meadow mushrooms. What mushrooms grow in Sochi, and how to collect them? When is the best time to pick mushrooms in Sochi?

with. Krasnaya Polyana - vdp. Brothers - Achishkho

Mount Achishkho is quite a popular and frequently visited place. In summer, there are quite a lot of tourists here. There are paid horse rides to the waterfall. Once upon a time there was a weather station on the Achishkho ridge. Now there is practically nothing left of it. I read that Mount Achishkho is the wettest place in Russia (it seems like rainfall is frequent), but I'm not sure about this.
I wanted to climb to the top for a long time. In the winter trip to Achishkho, we did not manage to climb to the top, because. It was very deep and loose snow. In the spring hike to Mount Bolshaya Chura, before leaving for Krasnaya Polyana, we walked very close to the top, but still did not visit it. And finally, in this autumn campaign, he climbed to the top. We were very lucky with the weather, so there were quite a few beautiful pictures left.
My friend is an eternally busy person, but he loves mountains very much. And these two reasons led to the fact that after my friend's working day ended, we went to Krasnaya Polyana at 8 pm. Luckily he had a car. We arrived in Krasnaya Polyana around 21:30. By the time we got there, another half an hour had passed. Around 10 pm we set off. In the dark, with lanterns. At about 11 o'clock we passed the Shelter "Achishkho". After 12 at night we climbed out to the main pass (the highest mark of our night movement). At 2 o'clock in the morning we approached the waterfalls "Brothers". It was the first time I had to move "in the night" for so long. I wanted to sleep, we quickly pitched the tent and fell asleep.
In the morning it was very beautiful around. The weather is fine. From the waterfall there is a beautiful view of Mount Chugush. There were problems with firewood - we did not take a burner, and there were no dry sticks in the low forest at all. Either the tourists burned everything, or it is such a forest - that dry sticks do not remain. In general, we somehow scraped together twigs and prepared breakfast. An unusually beautiful view in autumn - bright red, yellow, orange colors of foliage.
After breakfast, we hid our backpacks and went to the top. On the way we saw people picking hallucinogenic mushrooms. As far as I understand, there are such small fungi that grow only in autumn, in the alpine zone, near flooded places. And so, in order to "be intoxicated" with these mushrooms, young people are ready to go to the mountains. I called these guys "mushroom-eaters".
The ascent is not difficult, there is a full path. Above, the first snow began to appear. We climbed to the top. Very beautiful view. Admired and went down to the west to a small lake. Then we traversed in the opposite direction, crossed the ridge and went down to the waterfall, to the old place of spending the night. We took backpacks and went to the ruins of the weather station. There were other people's tents by the lake next to the weather station, we went down lower and stopped for the second night.
In the morning the weather began to deteriorate. It even rained on the way down. At about 10 am we went to Krasnaya Polyana and arrived in Sochi at lunchtime.
The trip left a lot of positive emotions. Especially pleased with the weather on the day of the ascent. There were so many interesting pictures that I even had to reduce the number of those worthy of appearing on this page.

September is traditionally considered the peak of the mushroom season, but in Sochi the maximum bunching of mushrooms is most often delayed until October, and in some cases even November. The most popular mushrooms in Greater Sochi: ceps, chanterelles, blackberries, honey mushrooms - are collected in huge quantities, then to go to the kitchen or to the city counters. In order not to spend a lot of money for a fresh forest product, it is best to collect them yourself.

All you need is to decide and go on a hike, guided by simple rules: almost all mushrooms live in the forest, large clusters of mushrooms are easiest to find at a level of 200 - 400 meters above sea level, we bypass unknown mushrooms, we do not try raw mushrooms, wormy , flabby and overripe do not cut off, we do not pull out the mycelium. Almost done. It remains to take a knife, a wicker basket, comfortable waterproof shoes and an overview of the most mushroom places in Sochi according to SCAPP.

Agur Gorge area

The dense, thorny forest and the Agura River create an excellent microclimate for the development of large arrays of mushrooms that are just asking for a basket. Most importantly, do not forget any buckets, boxes, briefcases, bags - if you put the mushrooms in this "luggage", you will bring puree soup home.

Plastunka village area

Near the most Georgian settlement of Sochi (more than half of the residents) there are mushroom forests that are as saturated as possible after the autumn rains. This autumn has already managed to wet us decently, so the hunt for edible hats in Plastunka is open.

Area of the village of Vorontsovka

Vorontsovka is geographically located on the Bolshaya Khosta River, and, in addition to the well-known caves, attracts attention with its mushroom deposits. The main thing is not to be deceived by the quantity, especially if you are a beginner mushroom picker. If this is your first "catch" - show it to an experienced mushroom picker so that he confirms that the collected one can really be consumed.

District of the village of Galitsyno

If you believe the official data, no more than 900 people live here, respectively, we will not be able to handle all the mushrooms, we think, and we pack the baskets into our “carriages”. If this is your first time in Galitsyno or in any other unfamiliar place, do not forget to first study the area using Yandex or Google maps, check the charge on your phone and navigate by the features of the area.

The area of Zmeykovsky waterfalls

Mushrooms are doing well near the “duty point for tourism” in Sochi. Now the active season is for porcini mushrooms, chanterelles and blackberries will pop up a little later, and mushrooms will ripen towards the end of the autumn season. During mushroom ecstasy, we try to think about the future, so we do not dig up the forest floor, so as not to damage the delicate mycelium. In compensation for the gifts of nature, we sprinkle the deprived leg with earth and it will be possible to return next season for a new harvest.

Other popular places

Mount Uspenka, Baranovka area, Progress village area, forest areas near the village of Sergey-Pole, the mountain village of Medoveevka, the area of the "goat mountain" Achishkho and the incredibly popular Mount Akhun.

Important. All the places in our review are well known to avid mushroom pickers (who, however, know better places), so their main rule should not be neglected: "He who had time - he ate it." So we wake up early, equip ourselves and "mushroom picker". And smaller

What mushrooms grow in Sochi, and how to collect them?

In the forests of the resort now you rarely find a secluded place. People spare no effort or time and go early in the morning to search for mushroom places, ahead of each other.

The path of development of fungi at the birth of the world on Earth diverged from plants and animals, they have a separate kingdom in nature. With their mysteriousness, mushrooms attract thousands of people to the forest. And mushroom fever is so captivating that it is necessary to attract specialists to search for the missing.

2-3 people are not always lost alone, including those with children. Help was provided to 32 residents of Sochi and guests of the resort. And this is only by the forces of the YURPSotryad.

YURI FOMIN, DEPUTY HEAD OF URPS EMERCOM OF RUSSIA

To help those who get lost in the most mushroom places, signs of directions to the city and telephone numbers of rescuers are installed. It is very easy to get lost in the forests of Sochi without a navigator or an experienced guide, and besides, it is quite dangerous here.

- The wonderful Sochi forests provide an opportunity not only to eat, but also to do fitness.

With all the difficulties of the path, few of the mushroom pickers manage to avoid the temptation to visit this fertile land. The climate of Sochi is a separate miracle of nature!

Sochi forests amazing m A place for mushroom pickers, thanks to the variety. This is caused by several factors. Firstly, the climate is warm, and secondly, it is humid and abundant in vegetation. All this together contributes to the fact that only 60 species are edible. Not only are they edible, they are also delicious.

NATALIA SHEVCHENKO, AMATEUR MUSHROOM PICKER

On the advice of our fellow traveler, we went to the northern slope of Mount Akhun through the Agur Gorge. And immediately - mushroom luck!

Five minutes later, a dry and inedible-looking mushroom is on the way. As it turned out - a delicacy.

Horn-shaped funnel, or black fox. It looks like a Caucasian drinking horn, or a musical instrument. Very tasty with an onion and in a frying pan. But it cannot be boiled, otherwise it turns into paper. And, most importantly, a godsend for those who return from the forest with an empty basket.

In Europe, chanterelles are considered the strongest cure for cancer. They contribute to the removal of radionuclides from the body.

And... finally! Our main trophies are winter mushrooms.

In half a day in good weather, up to 20 kilograms of such mushrooms can be removed from one clearing or log. Honey mushrooms are the "golden fund" of the Sochi forest. Our basket filled up in half an hour.

It would seem, what more could a lucky mushroom picker want? And suddenly another gastronomic delight is on the way! Mushroom umbrella.

- There is only a hat. It is cut into 2-4 parts, rolled in flour, an egg, fry for 3 minutes on each side and your guests will not understand - is it a chicken chop or a turkey chop? There are no words to eat!

But the miracles don't end there. In appearance resembling corals, these mushrooms are classified as conditionally edible - Deer horns. Their mushroom pickers pass by. After all, there are tastier examples.

For example, the liverwort is a lover of oak and chestnut tree trunks.

- When you cut it - also such a marble structure. Reminds me of beef liver.

Natalia's courage is shared not only by mushroom pickers, but also by gourmets who choose tasty and healthy products.

Doctors do not support mushroom pickers, not only because of the risk of poisoning with a toadstool. Pediatricians, in general, prohibit feeding mushrooms to children under 12 years old.

Why? The protein is in a cellulose shell. It is generally not absorbed in the body. This is the food that deer - moose eat in the forest. Yes! And people have gotten used to it. But the enzymes are not yet developed, so they are poorly digested.

SERGEY PIVNEV, HEAD OF THE PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT, CITY HOSPITAL No. 3, SOCHI

Despite the advice of doctors, people EAT mushrooms. HAVE and SELL the local harvest. Honey mushrooms - 200 rubles per kilo.

But neither in stores nor in restaurants - they are not. Champignon is the most popular mushroom in the resort's catering.

Champignons are one of the most common and affordable mushrooms, easy to cook. There are many recipes. They are known throughout Europe and the Caucasus.

IVAN LAPIN, COOK

But the main charm of Sochi is that edible mushrooms grow not only in the forest, but right under the windows!

Shrubs were cut here recently, and mushrooms grew at the entrance at the first rays of the sun.

And right on Kurortny Prospekt, a young family of mushrooms made their way. Tokoe can only be in Sochi!
