And the missions themselves are much paler. Perhaps the only one of a dozen that can be called excellent is the Stalingrad "Vendetta". We remove enemy soldiers, hide from the patrol, conduct a deadly duel with a sniper, break through a burning building, support our comrades with fire from the upper floors, kill an enemy general. In other missions, there are also good moments - Japanese soldiers pretending to be corpses or scenes with prisoners on the streets of Berlin, but they can be counted on the fingers. The American campaign is completely dull, especially the mission with mortars - a narrow winding corridor and many enemies around. It is weaker in everything, right down to the graphics: it seems that it was made either in a hurry, or by a weaker team. With a very strong reception, "salvation from death" was somewhat overdone - it is good once, but when the situation repeats itself again and again, it turns into a farce.

It's even strange, but during the passage we will not meet the favorite method of the series - the hunt for armored vehicles with explosives. It is destroyed here in completely normal and logical ways - from grenade launchers or anti-aircraft guns. But another notable mistake appeared - sniper rifles were replaced with PTRS, from which you can shoot while standing. But in reality, Simonov's anti-tank rifle weighs almost two dozen kilograms, although they really could be equipped with an optical sight. And the need to use it for its intended purpose never arises, you can get by with an ordinary rifle. Although no, how can one refuse the spectacle of torn off arms and legs!

Back to war

You should not look for major changes in the gameplay - this is still an attraction where the number of opponents goes into the hundreds. Yes, and our comrades more create an entourage than help - they run forward, fall into traps or simply die beautifully in order to jump out from behind a corner again in a brand new uniform. The old rules have remained almost everywhere - the enemies are endless, but only until we move forward and the trigger goes off, moving their spawn point away from us. But there is one difference from all the previous parts - in some places a dash to attack is only fraught with the death of the hero, here you need to support your comrades-in-arms with fire and wait for them to move forward. This is especially true in the last missions of the game. However, this is where the innovations end, everything else was in the previous parts. And the dogs remained unchanged from the fourth part.

But a novelty for the series was the co-op mode: up to four players can play the campaign together. In practice, there are no special differences from a single game, but teamwork makes the process more interesting - it is much more pleasant to feel real support than the “comradely shoulder” of stupid bots.

When passing, you can find death cards. They are found one by one almost at each level in secluded places where you can’t get on the main route - such a reward for attentiveness. They look like a soldier's grave - a helmet on a pole. And they are needed for the cooperative mode, where they change the rules, simplifying or complicating the life of the players. For example, you can get the opportunity to heal wounded comrades with your shots or put body armor on enemies, after which they will die only from headshots.

There will be a lot of hand-to-hand combat in the game, especially in American missions.

What is very unusual for action movies of this kind, the characters in the game turned out to be characteristic. It is a pity that this can only be said about the Soviet part of the game. Only half a dozen dialogues and several scenes right on the engine give a good idea about the main character's colleagues - Sergeant Reznov and Private Chernov. The first is simple and brutally straightforward - an eye for an eye and blood for blood. Most of his actions are revenge for the massacre in Stalingrad, for the death of comrades and the destroyed Soviet cities. The entire war machine of the Third Reich for him is something far away that must eventually be destroyed, and the enemy responsible for what happened is the nearest German, and there can be only one atonement - his death. Sadism and brutality? Maybe, but at the same time he worries about the main character, pulls him out of trouble more than once, and without his help the main task will not be completed.

Private Chernov is his complete opposite. A sort of goof-intellectual who keeps a diary in his spare time. Killing prisoners or finishing off the wounded is beyond his understanding, for which he deserved Reznov's dislike. But it cannot be said that he is a bad soldier - he fights next to us the whole game, and it is not his fault that he does not fit into other people's worldview.

But there is nothing to praise the missions of Private Miller: the characters there are no different from the extras - do not consider the orders of the sergeant to perform an obvious task as something out of the ordinary. Sullivan, Rowbuck, Polonsky... they have nothing but last names. The only thing that can somehow hook is the choice of which of the colleagues to save in an ambush, but it has no consequences.

The grass was greener

World at War is made on the same engine as Modern Warfare, but they look completely different. Visually, the new product is worse than the game from a year ago - if the character models are at the same level, the landscapes here and there show us muddy textures. Come on graphics - it's amazing how it was possible to produce so many errors on the finished material! From the "black screen" problem due to incorrect video format to complete incompatibility with some built-in sound cards, and even with a network game, problems can arise.

Somewhat spoiled the impression and the translation of the "New Disc". Richard Psmith, in his article "Localizing Games" in the October issue of this year, spoke about the difficulties that await translators, and World at War can be called one of the clearest examples of working with only source materials without the game itself: few people will guess the first time that the word "back" in the menu means loading the last save. The names and ranks of soldiers and the names of equipment in English look like a defect. Some things could have been avoided by editorial work or acting. But if the pathetic turns in Reznov’s speech can be attributed to something else (“The Motherland will take us into its arms”), then the completely faded, unemotional voice of the artilleryman, who broadcasts as if he is not at war, cannot be explained by anything.

World at War is another story, but it is far from Modern Warfare in almost everything. The sixth part in the series is again being made by Infinity Ward, and therefore we can expect a new beautiful masterpiece with great confidence.

Network pitfalls

The network game in Call of Duty 4 was a real breakthrough in its time. But such dramatic changes, especially within the same game series, happen quite rarely, so it was difficult to expect something really new from the fifth part. Only the development of old ideas. But this can be done in different ways, and Treyarch, apparently, decided to take the path of least resistance.

The developers simply transferred the game mechanics from the fourth part without thinking about the consequences. First of all, the overall style of the game suffered from this. Of course, I understand that the weapon modernization system is great, but when you can hang a silencer or a collimator sight on a PPSh, you get some kind of bust. This is not to mention tanks with regenerating armor.

And how do you like the idea of ​​issuing the same weapon for all parties? Germans, Japanese and Soviet soldiers running around with Thompson submachine guns - this is already some kind of postmodernism with surrealism in one bottle. Of course, I understand that in games, especially in online modes, you cannot do without conventions, but in Call of Duty: World at War they look too wild. But everything is like in the fourth part!

Network cards also cause complaints. They have greatly increased in size, although it is far from a fact that this can be included in the pros. But that's what they did not become more interesting - that's for sure. The design of the cards is extremely clumsy. They are simply unpleasant to look at, sometimes they are even annoying with their design. I will not say anything about balance problems. A few days after the release, a huge patch came out, which corrects only a part of the errors. And it looks like it won't be the last...

In general, it is amazing how Treyarch could so ineptly use the old engine on which all games in the series are released. It is often problematic to even join a server, especially if you want to play co-op. But even if the balance is brought back to normal and the shortcomings are corrected, this will not pull the game to a decent level. And even more so, the laurels of her predecessor never shine.

As a result, we have the game mechanics of Call of Duty 4 with minimal differences, a spitting atmosphere and a bunch of errors. It is unlikely that you come to migrate from Modern Warfare. Look at the differences as much as possible - for example, at the squads of killer dogs that replaced helicopters - and you will quickly return back. If you are tired of the fourth part, then Call of Duty: World at War, all the more, will not be able to offer anything new.

Walkthrough

We will be periodically transferred between two fronts - the Soviet-German and the Japanese-American. There are minimal differences in equipment: in addition to grenades, a Russian soldier carries four Molotov cocktails with him, and an American - the same number of smoke bombs. The novelty of the series - a flamethrower - falls into the hands of the player only in the Pacific theater of operations, and in Europe it is found in German soldiers and Soviet tanks. Opponents differ slightly in behavior, but this will be discussed in the walkthrough.

In addition to weapons, you need to remember about the ability to run (Shift key), which will save you more than once from flying grenades and just when jerking to shelters. But at the same time, you cannot reload and it takes more time to start shooting. It is possible to use a knife (V key), you will have to use it especially actively when playing as an American marine, opponents are very fond of going to the bayonet.

You yourself understand that a soldier with such a surname cannot be left in trouble.

Then you have to move through the forest, do not approach the temple - according to the script, an explosion is supposed, it can be very shabby, which will be completely out of time before the Japanese attack. From the forest we will go out to the flank to the Japanese positions. An attack on the move is fraught with death, reinforcements will go from the forest to the enemy. To make our task easier, we will destroy the searchlight on the tower, and at the same time the arrow next to it; Now it's the machine gun's turn. It remains to knock out the remaining Japanese and one more leg of the way will be behind.

When corpses appear ahead, it's time to hide in a collapsed house. For these are not corpses at all, but an ambush, and in a couple of seconds a stun grenade will arrive. There is a short battle in the clearing under the bright lights of flares and moving on. Be careful, there will be a machine gun ahead on the right.

You will need to go to the truck, open the tailgate and punch a hole in the barrel - however, it will be enough to press the action button. When he rolls down, we run after him to the very gates, so that there is something to hide from bullets. Then the usual dashes will go up to the bunker.

We lay explosives and, without waiting for a new order and the final mining of the weapons depot, we run to the shore, to the boats. There we are shell-shocked by a grenade explosion, and Sergeant Sullivan will drag the hero to the boat; in the process of riding someone else's hump, you can even shoot a pistol.

Weak resistance

At first, we can only look around: we are being taken in a landing vehicle to a bright and loud future. Day "D" has already become boring, so at least some variety - we will storm the Palau attol. The game will start as soon as Sergeant Sullivan pulls us out of the water and gives us an entertainment for the entire mission - a walkie-talkie for aiming artillery (button "6").

We destroy the machine-gun nest and run forward - it is worth finishing off the stunned Japanese until they come to their senses. There is another bunker ahead - you can also cover it or wait until a soldier with a flamethrower does it. The next nest is definitely ours. Artillery can also be used to the left, where the enemy comes from - this will clear the area for further advancement.

Turning right, just behind the broken positions, will bring a new surprise - Japanese soldiers in camouflage coats jumping out of the grass, and snipers in the trees. The first reveal themselves, jumping up with a wild cry, and the presence of the second can be determined by the hanging ropes, and they themselves are sometimes visible. From now on, they will run at us often and a lot.

Further - not just a bunker, but a real fortress with two machine guns. It is pointless to attack in the forehead, and it is not necessary - we will leave it on the left hand and go forward. And there is a tunnel leading under the very walls of the fortification. It remains to break through, either by suppressing machine guns with artillery fire, or by throwing a smoke bomb and going to them from the rear.

Once inside, we will receive new tasks - to destroy the mortar crews and call a volley on the tanks. We will ignore the verbal order to stand behind the machine gun, there is nothing to do with nonsense, instead we will aim artillery at the farthest of the mortars, a little to the right of the gun itself - the blow will sweep away most of the troops, cover the arrived truck and, if you are lucky, burn one of the tanks. It remains to finish off the remaining enemies and aim at the second tank. We will take part in the sad ending, which, with all our desire, cannot be changed, and the mission will end.

hard landing

We go along the corridor from the jungle to the downed plane (Roubuk has already received sergeant stripes - promotions go quickly in the war). When the soldiers climb to inspect the pilot, it is better to take cover behind the stones on the left. For everything is not so simple - the corpse is mined, the curious will be blown to pieces, and the Japanese will start shooting from the forest. Being in the middle of a puddle under the crossfire is another survival lesson. Before the bunkers, two more ambushes are to be met, however, without such meanness.

A short fight to clear the area will give you the opportunity to break through to the pillbox. You can go either through it, which is much easier, or behind, where all the other soldiers of the squad will go. True, they will run, leaving behind some of the enemies, but in this case this does not play a role.

Now we need to suppress the bunker with two machine guns. To begin with, you will have to support the flamethrower with fire at the embrasures, but this will not help him - they will kill him. Who will go to burn the enemy bunker? Of course, Private Miller! We grab a flamethrower and finish the dirty work. The ammo will detonate, and a portal will open in the wall to the other side of the hill.

After a minor skirmish on the road (a flamethrower is very useful here), we will go out to the building where the enemy forces have settled. You need to immediately run to the car in the distance, not forgetting to bend down so as not to get shot. There is a "Garand" with a grenade launcher, you need to destroy both machine gun points from it. In the building itself, you can break through under the cover of smoke. Sitting still is useless - the number of the enemy will not decrease.

Here we are at the airport. At first, we just run, occasionally shooting, and so on until the first trench. They will issue a bazooka and an order to destroy Japanese tanks - it is more difficult to see them in the smoke than to survive. Again we run to the Japanese positions - it is better to bypass them on the right in order to go to the flank, and on the same side there will be a ladder up. Up to the first of the four guns, it will be possible to go with a flamethrower, only a grenade will have to be thrown into the turret. And then - use a captured anti-aircraft gun (after waiting a bit for ours to push the enemy back).

The last push is the defense of the captured position from an enemy counterattack. We will not wait for it to begin and will deploy both nearest anti-aircraft guns to the future front. Our task is to destroy tanks, and shooting trucks will not be superfluous to reduce the density of enemy fire. During breaks, we hide behind the guns and discard the enemies climbing the wall.

Vendetta

See the sniper? And I don't see. And he is.

Reznov will tell you that he has been hunting for General Ansel for a long time, but now his arm is injured and he cannot complete what he started, therefore he gives us a sniper rifle. But there is simply nothing to shoot at once - they prudently did not give cartridges, and therefore we are waiting for the bombers to fly. After killing six soldiers, another one will appear, with a dog. If she is not killed along with the owner, she will run at us, you can grab her by the throat and cut her with a knife.

It will not be possible to get Ansel again, the patrol will interfere. We follow the sergeant (listen to what he says, this explains his further actions quite well) until we get under fire from a sniper. Reznov will tell you which floor he is on - the sniper will remain there, although he can and will move between the windows. The principle is simple - you need to detect the location and follow the enemy. As soon as he leans out of cover, we shoot and sharply strafe to the side so as not to get a bullet in the forehead. Perhaps it will not be possible to hit the first time for sure, but ours will definitely take it. Before we find the enemy, in no case do we sit still, but crawl, watching the windows.

We're going down. We will be spotted by a patrol, we crawl forward until the cabinet falls, we will need to kill two enemies at the windows opposite. After a short dash to the next jet of fire, we remove another one from the opposite side of the building. Now we run upstairs, without stopping, after the stairs to the right and again to the right. A beam will fall from above, but the sergeant will pull us out. We run through the fire and jump down to almost be captured again. The shot soldiers at the wall on the right do not add confidence in the future.

A flamethrower indoors is the cruelest thing.

But the next rescue will not keep you waiting: the Germans will be killed, and our soldiers will come up. The usual sniper task without frills - just do not expose yourself to fire and, in which case, hide behind the wall. We climb the stairs to the second floor, kill the flamethrower, wait until he comes closer to his second, then remove the machine gunner. Next - the roof at the bottom left and the balcony above it.

Let's take the MP-40 on the road, and the sniper can be changed to PTRS, also with an optical sight, although it will have fewer rounds of ammunition. A counterattack on the roof is easy to beat off - there are plenty of shelters, and grenades are not yet abused. We shoot at the heads of carelessly leaning out enemies. But, if we move forward, we need to look behind the stairs on the left - the comrades below do not pay attention to it, and the enemy can come to our rear. It is worth shooting the dogs as well, until they run up, at least one, but you may not have time to kill two. Having captured the balcony with Reznov, we stand behind the machine gun. In addition to simple support and suppression of the infantry, it will be necessary to destroy the shooters on armored personnel carriers, and a little later - the enemy on the house on the left (you can simply not notice him). When our comrades enter the house, we will have to be careful not to kill our own.

Reznov leads, the hunt for Ansel continues. We do not shoot until the target appears. But the general will come out with a bodyguard. First, they will hide behind the tanks, the soldier will stick out first and immediately get a bullet in the forehead, and if he doesn’t get it, something heavy and exploding will fly towards us. Ansel will run from the tank to the truck and then to the gun. If we don’t kill in two runs, we will die at this place.

After that, all that remains is to run after the sergeant and jump into the water at the end of the path.

Their land, their blood

And again a familiar situation - one step to death. And again comes salvation in the person of the sergeant. Reznov demands from Private Chernov to finish off the wounded Germans, he refuses, therefore, we are unobtrusively invited to do this ignoble deed. But if you think that this is against the rules, then you don’t need to - here and in the future no one will force you, after some waiting, your colleagues will do the dirty work.

Let's throw a Molotov cocktail into the wheat (button 4), and leave the yellow ears in the month of April on the conscience of the creators of the level. The Germans will run from there, they have not yet shown resistance. Further - the path along the corridor and the possibility of choosing a fork. In any case, it will be necessary to reach the left edge of the fortifications. On the left - the path is shorter, but reaching the German positions in the forehead, you will have to jump into the trench ahead. On the right is a winding trench, but it is relatively safe to pass the section to the desired point, and we can also suppress the machine gun in advance. After destroying the enemies running out of the dugout (there you can find the FG42, the second one - in another one, after a hundred meters), we ignore the branch opposite it and move straight, going to the flank of the machine gunner.

After passing under the bridge, we run to the house. There will be a Panzershrek, we destroy tanks from it. You don’t have to be distracted by the soldiers, we have good fire support, but it’s not worth running through a wheat field, like the Japanese. We are moving to the next building, the one near which the last tank was - it is better to go above the trench and go inside. If you replenish the ammunition for the Panzershrek in advance, then right out of the window it will be possible to knock out another iron victim. The last tank is hidden in the barn, he himself is not terrible - a grenade launcher is nearby, but it is better to hide behind some kind of fence from his infantry escort.

Let's run up to one of our tanks and sit down with the action button ("F"). The trip will not be long - we jump, shoot at two towers, carry both trucks and take them to the right, to the very fence, so you can bypass the bulk of the enemy troops from the flank. The second part of the camp is passed similarly, but instead of the second car there will be an armored personnel carrier with a machine gun. It remains to go to the gates of the camp, listen to the speech and the mission will end.

Burn them out!

Without exaggeration, this is the most tedious mission in the game - you have to move along a trench-corridor, and the enemy will pour in front and above, snipers in the trees will add joy. The room for maneuver is zero - we move forward a little, we remove the enemies on the walls, we do the same thing again and again. The flamethrower is useful for burning out shelters on the sides of the corridor and a couple of times during the main passage - to shoot machine gunners from around the corner, between the first and second mortars and in a large dugout in front of the third. In all other cases, you can get by with the Garand, or change it to the Type 100, for which there is plenty of ammunition, or to the Type 99 machine gun. That's all.

Relentless

Let's advance a little and wait until one of the soldiers falls into a trap - we pass him, again to the left, where we will press against the wall. We slowly go to the fortifications - enemies will jump out of the grass. Let's clear the area a bit and capture the anti-aircraft gun - with its help we will finish off the remaining Japanese and destroy the artillery gun. In the dugout - cartridges for our machine gun. Down the slope - another anti-aircraft gun, but it does not finish the second gun, but it can thin out the enemy.

After the victory, a slight lull. We run down the slope, when the truck explodes, you will need to rush to the wall and hide behind it from the fire. We shoot enemies and wait for the approach of the flamethrower tank. We move behind him, running from one cover to another, but not behind him - he misses too many enemies and you can be under fire from two sides.

It remains to go through the cave to the armory, it's easier to do it along the left sleeve - in short. Minor difficulties may arise in the central hall and already on the battery itself, but it’s enough just not to rush.

iron and blood

Opa, and we have already moved into tankers. The mission is simple even on the highest difficulty level. It is necessary to be afraid of 88-mm guns, tanks and infantrymen with Panzershreks. And even then they are terrible, while everything is in smoke. And so we carefully look around and demolish everything that can be dangerous. The only moment - after the destruction of the radio tower, it is worth taking the left road, because the right one leads directly to fortified positions. Don't forget about the flamethrower (G key on the keyboard or the middle mouse button, like grenades), it burns everything in front of the tank, not the turret.

We disembark from the train and wait for the end of the Katyusha shelling. We follow the tank to the first house, after which we move along the wall. Be careful, an enemy has settled in the ruins of the second one, he can put a bullet in the back. We knock out enemies from the building and occupy it ourselves.

The city battle begins - the Germans are in a multi-storey building opposite. We need to destroy machine gunners and soldiers with "Panzershreks" - we just carefully examine the windows, and in no more than a couple of minutes the task will be completed.

We go through the newly cleared building, there will be no resistance. The tank will break through the wall, and the battle will begin again. You need to go to the shelter on the other side. We go straight down, from above and without us they will figure it out, but it’s still worth looking in that direction and shooting enemies from the upper floors. There are many shelters, so there will be no particular difficulty.

You can go up to the second floor calmly, along the way, if necessary, grabbing a shotgun shotgun. In the room of the former shower room, the battle will begin, we bypass the adversaries on the left, removing the machine gunners. Then there will be an exit to the balcony, we need to go there, but not immediately - first we will stand behind the machine gun in the window and thin out the defenders in the window opposite. Now a dash along the balustrade, you need to quickly get into the room we just fired at. We do not pay attention to the enemies on the roof, more and more new ones will resort. Ahead is another machine gun, which can still be flanked. Only the room with him should be cleared with a Molotov cocktail - there, in addition to the shooter, there are enough enemies. The last rooms - and the fight will return to the street again. It is better to go on the left side, shooting shooters in the windows on the right. It's not difficult, but you shouldn't relax - the retreating ones are intensively shooting back.

Eviction

The first part of the mission - without any frills we go through the building. They try to captivate us with something, like a captured German or saving a comrade, but otherwise only the scenery changes. Difficulties will begin on the street - the space is large, and shelling is coming from all sides. First of all, you need to run to the subway, from where more and more new enemies are running, and jumping there is a good defense, and the flow of opponents will dry up abruptly. Then we crawl forward in the same place, but we need to move to the right in order to leave the machine gun fire zone from one of the upper floors of the building on the other side of the street. When we almost reach the crossroads, the tanks will destroy the firing point, and at this stage everything will be over. The soldiers will finish off the wounded and surrendered Germans. If we take part in the massacre, the death of the enemies will be much less terrible, although this is said to Chernov, it is clearly addressed to us.

They will open the door to the subway, there, as usual, there are two slightly unequal paths. The left one is a little easier - for some reason they don’t shoot from the other side, and on the right you will also have to watch the flank, firing from the cars is more than likely. The machine gun on the left is also not a problem - on the other side there are much more service rooms, you can go through them almost half the way.

After that, you have to jump off the platform onto the flooded rails. Reznov will start to break the door, and we will shoot back from the Germans on the other side of the blockage. However, all this will not last long ... first the rats will run, but we have nowhere to retreat from inevitable death.

Black Cats

We fly as a gunner on the Catalina and fire from all the guns in turn, we are transferred between them at the behest of the script (in addition to the machine gun, there is also a cannon on the front - the G key or the middle mouse button). They can kill the hero, in order to avoid this, in the first part of the mission, you must first destroy the boats and only then the transports, they will still be exposed to us under fire according to the script, and they will not drown ahead of time. In the second half, "Zero" will be added to the boats. When the plane lands on the water, another task will appear - to pull the sailors out of the water (with the same action button "F", the inscription will appear on the screen), for the offset you need to get four, if less - the task will fail, but the mission will end.

The task is not easy - to attack the summit, but there are a lot of opponents, and they are disguised wherever they get. The shortest path to the goal from the moment of meeting with the enemy is to climb up along the thorn on the right hand. A flamethrower will help with this - there are enough enemies, but the distance is small. Then, on the contrary, it is worth tearing to the left, it is easier to pass there. We will throw a smoke bomb in front of the machine-gun nest, it will be possible to reach the caves. It is a little easier to go from above, below is not the most advantageous position for shooting, water closes the view.

After the cave, you need to destroy the bunkers. To do this, we were given explosives - select by the "5" key, throw with the right mouse button, and blow up with the left. We approach - we throw, we depart - we blow up. And so three times, moving counterclockwise. Still have to shoot.

Ahead is a large firing point. Do not take it in the forehead, you have to bypass it. It is especially disgusting that there are no save points from the appearance of the tank to the very inside of the bunker, and this is a very decent segment. As usual, there are two ways. Difficulties may be only in the large hall at the very end, but there are enough walls and barrels to lick the wounds.

Well, okay, the inconsistency is again on you know whose conscience. The fact is that we don’t just have no grenades and smoke bombs, but even a lousy cartridge for the Garand. The cargo falls from the sky, we run to it, but the Japanese begin the attack. Here, on the highest difficulty of the game, you don’t need to try to grab the barrel, a disastrous thing, it’s better to hide behind the nearest wall and wait for the first samurai, from whose corpse you can remove the rifle. Let's take down four snipers in the trees and a few soldiers behind the fortifications. Let's pick up weapons and ammunition from a bale - there you can find a machine gun and a "Garand" with an optical sight.

Shelling will begin, you need to find the point of spotters. We run to the nearest shelter, there will be a hatch down. We jump - there we will find several Japanese leaning over the map. Let's go out the other side. A serious battle is ahead, including hand-to-hand combat - the enemies will climb out of their holes. Having won the battle below, we remove the machine gunner above the gate, and then we move up. It is worth looking around carefully, the Japanese can crawl out of the ground in the most unexpected place and stick a bayonet in the back. It is better to enter from the left, but it is also worth clearing the right side of the battlefield before climbing the bridge.

It will be easier inside, we reach a small house, from there we remove all the enemies on the roof, then we run to the western building and clear the corridor. In the room on the side there will be cartridges for a machine gun and several opponents. Next is a new entertainment - we grab mines and throw them in the direction of the enemy. So you can do all four mortar trenches, although not from one place. But you will have to be distracted in order to remove the machine gunner in the window.

We run further, we will have to clear the yard from enemy troops, there are enough shelters so that there are no problems for this. Inside the house we sit down at the machine gun and help to destroy the enemy in the courtyard, then we move through buildings and tunnels.

When we go up to the second floor and go out into the courtyard, we will see the surrendering Japanese. But not everything is so simple - this is an ambush, and they will attack Rowbuck and Polonsky. And here we can save only one of them, having killed the attacker, the opponent of the second immediately explodes. The counterattack begins - our last and decisive battle against the Japanese. The main thing here is not to die, that is, "not to climb into heroes." After some time, a message will come about the readiness of aviation - we hit the northern building, and then twice on the eastern one. We watch a video where the character saved by us gives us the tokens of the deceased. This concludes the American campaign.

They subtly hint to us, poking their nose into a hole in the wall, that we need to go through, but this is the wrong answer, fraught with shooting extra enemies - we go along and fall into the gap between two houses, from where we go to the right. After the fight in the library, we again find ourselves on the street.

After running through the tunnel under the embankment, we will listen to the speech. On a signal, it will be necessary to clear the area, namely, to destroy four 88-mm anti-aircraft guns so that the tanks can pass. This can only be done manually - by running up and setting explosives. Before that, of course, you will have to clear the area from enemies. The order of passage is clockwise, starting from the nearest one. After the explosion of the second and fourth, checkpoints will be reached.

When the last gun is destroyed, the assault on the entrance will begin. To begin with, let's occupy the left building in front of the entrance, not forgetting to kill the enemies in the neighboring ones. There is a PTRS at the top, but there is little sense from it - a little more than a dozen rounds, and you can shoot from such a distance without a telescopic sight. Since it is almost pointless to run forward, we will support our comrades with fire from this platform. There are two lines of defense on the steps, but further on there is another barrier made of bags. When our troops occupy both, we run to the far shelter and cling to the ground in the right corner. A column will fall to the left, a flamethrower will jump out from there and burn Chernov. It’s a pity, but it’s impossible to save him from an unenviable fate - in the best traditions of the series, such key enemies are immortal until the main event of their lives. One consolation is that our comrade survived, even though we cannot help him.

Having killed everyone in the center of the hall, we go up the stairs and after a short run along the corridors we burst into the meeting room. We are on the balcony, go there along the stairs on the right, in the break of the wall. First, we will support the fighters below with fire, knocking out the nearest enemies, but not forgetting about the machine gun on the podium and flamethrowers. Then we remove the opponents on the opposite balcony - this is where the sniper rifle, which lies at the very end of the PTRS balcony with an optical sight, will definitely come in handy,

We go down, it's much more dangerous here. You need to go to the opposite wall, and then go down almost to the podium. Again, the main enemies are the machine gun and flamethrowers. After the meeting room, there will be a run along the second balcony and upstairs. There you need to very quickly remove the machine gunner on the scaffolding in the far left corner, as he gets us at any open point on the roof. But there are enough relatively closed rooms, and we will go through them - you need to run to the nearest opening in the wall. From there there is another exit, and a little further - another similar shelter. When the standard-bearer is killed, we grab the flag and go to put it up. It will not do without a small obstacle, but the goal will be achieved.

An additional level, opens after watching the credits.

Inspired by the zombie mod for Call of Duty 2. Or in anticipation of Left 4 Dead. It's whoever likes it. We are in a small room with boarded up windows, and zombies are climbing towards us. With each round there are more and more of them and they are more dangerous. Points are awarded for killings, hitting the enemy and closing gaps. They are spent on the purchase of weapons and ammunition for it and the opening of two more small locations where you can get hold of a more deadly arsenal. If a zombie crawls inside the bunker, a bun can fall out of it - bullets that kill with one hit, doubling points, death to all "live" zombies, replenishment of ammunition.

In total there are 15 missions in the game + 1 secret one.

Always ready

The game starts with a cutscene in which we are almost not killed and we stay alive. After the rescue, they will provide us with a pistol, and take the machine gun on the right side of the barrel. Our task is to clear the village. Make your way forward, destroying enemies, but remember that it is useless to climb forward on the gap - we will kill, as there is nothing to do. Also, be careful about grenades - the Japanese are very fond of throwing them at us. Soon the first battle ends, and we can rest a little. The current task is to unite with the second branch. When walking along the path, do not come close to a certain semblance of a monument - this is an ambush. Soon we will get to the point and our task will already be to “save the second squad”. We sit down behind a stone and begin to shoot enemies. We also destroy a large spotlight. We move on. Soon you will see many corpses, but this is again an ambush. We hide behind cover and carefully destroy the enemies. Do not forget to throw back the grenades that were thrown to us. Also look around, as you can often see one or two soldiers sitting behind bushes or behind a stone. We follow to the collection point. We carefully kill the soldier behind the machine gun, throw a couple of grenades forward and go further, destroying the enemies. We come close to the back of the truck, and make a hole in the barrel (F key). Watching the car, we also try to fulfill the duty, i.e. kill enemies. We need to plant charges with the Roybook in the ammo bunker. We go inside, put the charge (press F until it is fully installed) and run out with a bullet. The Japanese will appear from all sides and attack us. We immediately throw a few grenades for the bags, which are located to the right of the house, and run in the forward direction from the entrance to the bunker. Explosion, shell shock, impact and we are already dragging a partner into the boat. This is how we end the first mission.

Weak resistance

In this mission, we will storm the beach (a parody of Landing in Omaha). Already near the shore there is an explosion, we are thrown into the sea. Soon our partner pulls us ashore and immediately gives the order to call a rocket salvo along the enemy line. There is nothing easier - press the key 6 and the left mouse button. We look at the missile salvo we have called and after a bright spectacle we get the task - to break through the Japanese defense line. We move forward, replacing the pistol with something more powerful (there are plenty of weapons around), for example, a machine gun. In the trenches, we shoot at red barrels to speed up the process of exterminating the Japanese. “Remove” (further this phenomenon will often occur in the game) one from a tree, several kamikazes will appear from the grass shouting “banzai” (if suddenly, for some reason, a Japanese soldier knocked you to the ground in order to kill with a blade, he this may not work if you manage to press the V button in time). We reach the bunker, into which we need to break through. We use the call of a rocket salvo, we mark a place in the middle of two machine gunners. We kill the remaining Japanese soldiers, and enter the bunker. New tasks are to destroy Japanese mortar crews, as well as to call a rocket salvo on Japanese tanks. We go up the stairs to the second floor and sit down at any of the machine guns on the left. We kill all the soldiers from below, and then we call rocket volleys (button 6 on the keyboard and indicate the target) on the tanks. We pass into the back room, where we discuss further plans with the detachment. But Sullivan cannot be saved.

hard landing

We start the mission in the dense jungle. We carefully move forward, we do not come close to the downed plane. We are preparing to repel the attack of disguised Japanese soldiers. We move on, we need to bypass the Japanese artillery from the flank. Soon we will unite with another group and we will storm the bunkers. Everything is standard here: shelter, shooting enemies. When you get to the bunkers with machine gunners, then it's a different matter. We need to get the flamethrower (finally). We throw a few smoke grenades, run to the flamethrower and dress it. We fry all the Japanese soldiers in the bunker, go inside, and fry the rest. We are heading to the airfield. Enemies will crawl out of the grass down the road and there will also be one on the tree. Here we are at the airport building, or rather, there is what is left of it. Our mission at the moment is to clear the building at any cost. The editors of the site HG-Go.com advises you to first reach the distant truck, take a rifle and grenades in it. Remove the machine gunners on the second floor, and then, I make my way to the building, all the rest with the help of a flamethrower and an assault rifle (if I have one at hand). We rise to the second floor, approach the balcony, jump down and move forward, using tanks as cover. We reach the trench, jump into it. We take a bazooka and destroy three Japanese tanks. We run further, storm the bunker with air defense guns. As an offensive force, we use a proven flamethrower. At the top level, there will just be anti-aircraft crews in the amount of 4 pieces that we need to destroy. In this case, you do not need to literally destroy the structures, no, you just need to kill the soldiers sitting behind it. Now we defend the bunker (we hold back the counterattack). We sit down at any air defense gun (preferably two close ones) and carry out the mission. In the end, two planes will help us.

Vendetta

We watch a scripted video (yes, these were the German soldiers in those days) and soon we get control. We crawl forward, it turns out that another Russian soldier Reznov is alive. We follow him, you need to stay with the sergeant. He gives us his rifle, as he cannot shoot himself because of his wounded hand. Raznov will give some recommendations on the use of a sniper rifle or a brief educational program (a sniper rifle for dummies). You need to destroy all the Germans on the street, to hold your breath, aim and hold down the SHIFT key. Shoot only when the bombers are flying low. Aim exactly at the head, you don't get many tries. It is also possible that the Germans will lower the dog. We leave the defense and stumble upon a convoy, following Reznov. Our dashes will be hindered by a German sniper, whom we need to remove. We go inside the building through the window and go up to the second floor. The sniper is on the top floor in the building with the banners (you can kill him when he is on the 3rd floor with the big windows). We follow Reznov. A patrol will pass by and soon they will notice you all, smoking will begin with the help of flamethrowers. Lie down on the floor and crawl, sticking to the windows. On the second floor, a beam will fall on us, Reznov will save us. We continue to get out of the fiery hell already lame, jump out into the street. We connect with allies. Now you need to support your comrades with sniper fire. We climb up the stairs and take a comfortable position by the window. We are waiting for the moment when a German soldier with a flamethrower will come up to talk to others and at this moment we shoot directly at the fuel tanks on his back. There is an explosion, a lot of killed enemies. We continue to shoot German soldiers. Soon they will begin to retreat, and we follow Reznov, destroying the enemies. Soon we will reach the balcony from which we have to kill General Amsel. Aim your rifle and wait until he exits the building. If you don't hit him the first time, he will hide behind the tank. You will have to kill all his bodyguards, only then will he run out, do not miss this moment. After killing him, grenades will be thrown at us, run away. Follow Reznov and stay alive. Jump into the water, this completes the level.

Their land, their blood

Reznov is with us again, saving us once again. We go out into nature, our task is to move towards the river. Take PPSh-41 from the barrels, a very useful thing, especially in close combat. We make our way forward, destroying enemies. On the river we have to make a choice - to go right or left. It's completely up to you to decide, since there is practically no difference. We will go to the left to break through the German line of defense. We go forward, we get to the bridge, in front of the trench lies an MG-42 machine gun, it’s a sin not to take it. Together with a new friend, we make our way forward, boldly breaking through the German defense line. It's best to go on the left. Carefully we pass under the bridge, we meet a new wave of soldiers, we approach the house where the old-style bazooka lies. With this tool of war, we need to destroy enemy tanks (4 in total). The bazooka has infinite ammo, but keep in mind that tanks can also shoot at us. After 4 tanks fell in front of you, we approach the barn, from which another tank and a group of German soldiers will leave. We destroy equipment and soldiers, after which we are going to regroup. We leave the barn and sit on the tank, moving along the road. We drive up to the German camp, which you need to penetrate. Everything is banal here: we hide, we shoot, we go forward, we hide, we shoot. And so on until the end. Do not forget to destroy the observation towers (this can be done with a bazooka or a Molotov cocktail). Let's move on and celebrate the victory.

Burn them out

We immediately find ourselves in the epicenter of the battle. We have a flamethrower with us and that's good. We have to destroy the enemy's mortar crews in the amount of 3 pieces. We throw smoke grenades in front of the machine gun to go through it. We destroy all the Japanese with a flamethrower or in another way. We do the same with the remaining 2 calculations. Here are some helpful tips:

1) Do not climb forward like Rimbaud, who has immortality. Do this if it's worth the cheat, but nothing more

2) Kamikaze attacks often, be extremely careful. If attacked, press the V button, but better try not to let it get close to you

3) Look at the map - all enemies are marked in red here

4) Pay special attention to palm trees where snipers sit, mostly palm trees with ropes and platforms

Relentless

We are on the tank, moving forward and enjoying the beauty of the jungle. Our pleasure did not last long, after the shelling we are thrown from the tank by an explosive wave and we begin the mission. We move along the left channel of the river. We kill the Japanese, get to the hill. The shotgun “shows” itself very well here. We throw a few smoke grenades forward - this will facilitate our movement. We go further. We destroy the anti-tank gun, there is one more ahead. After completing the task, collect ammo and rest. As soon as you gain strength, follow the squad. We are back on the battlefield. Our tank appears with a flamethrower, which we need to follow. We clean the area, then we storm the entrance to the cave. We pass forward through the cave using Browning M1919 (Browning M1919). Now it's tedious to find artillery pieces. At the end of the cave, we clear the artillery arsenal and meet with our detachment.

We are on the T-34 tank. It is necessary to neutralize enemy artillery in the amount of 4 calculations. We are moving forward. We try to shoot at the tower of enemy tanks. Use the flamethrower (G) to destroy the German soldiers. Destroy enemy artillery and move on. We shoot at enemy tanks and bunkers. We don't stand still, we move. German soldiers have bazookas, so we will not be sweet. Along the way, we also destroy observation towers. On the way to the fork, we compare the radio tower with the ground, and then we meet with the main group of troops.

On a hill, a good place to shoot enemy tanks, use it. In total, there are 8 tanks and 2 towers below. We destroy them from above, and only then we go down and reach the railway station. Where without Reznov ...

steel ring

We disembark from the car, take a PPSh nearby and connect with our detachment. A volley of Katyushas, ​​explosions, dust. Destroy the German defenses - the commander shouts, well, go ahead! We hide behind the tanks, use them as cover. When the tanks stop, run to the left, kill the Germans and enter the house. Climb the stairs to the second floor, clear the place and sit down to shoot soldiers from the rifle in the windows of the opposite building. We move through the office building (there is a staircase inside). Upon leaving the building, we are given a task - to get inside the shelter. We act. We go through the yard, use shelters. We throw grenades, keep to the left flank. We clean the shelter, following Reznov. On the roof there will be several soldiers with bazookas, kill them first, then the rest. After cleaning the shelter, it is necessary to destroy the retreating German troops. We move forward along the road, finishing off the German soldiers running away. The mission ends with shouts of "Hurrah!".

Eviction

Reznov and I are together, we need to clear the buildings. We move along the corridors, we find ourselves in a room with our partners, where we observe a small scene with the participation of a German soldier (he has a benefit performance). Follows Reznov and finds ourselves in the room where the Germans are. We carefully get closer and unexpectedly open fire for them. We clear the area and move on. We go down and save the hostage who will help us. Here you need to get together well, since there will be a lot of Germans further on. Throw forward not only grenades, but also Molotov, a cocktail. We go further. The machine gun must be bypassed from the second floor, it is better not to climb on the rampage. Through a hole in the floor, patched up somehow, we calmly kill the grief of a machine gunner. We go down the stairs, we clean another room. We go out into the street, here is a really solid slaughterhouse. We move up the street along with the tanks. At the end of the street we finish off the wounded soldiers and after that we go down to the subway to hide from the missiles. In the subway, as you may have guessed, there are also German soldiers. We move forward, killing them. At the end of the station, Reznov will open the door, our task is to cover him. But there is no defense against the big wave.

Black cat

Finally, we will fly, the mission from Call of Duty: United Offence immediately comes to mind. This level is simple - fly on an airplane and shoot at the indicated targets. Switching between turrets will switch automatically, or by pressing the F key, but at a strictly defined moment. The main thing is to destroy enemy boats when you protect ships and people.

Explode and burn

We attack the Wana Ridge in rainy weather. The Japanese are hiding in the ground, a completely expected move. In such weather, it is very difficult to see the Japanese infantry, which also has a disguise. Therefore, we do this - there is a large long stone on the right, we jump on it, lie down and shoot at the enemies, since the view is very good. I sit high, I look far away. We rise to the ridge, throw smoke bombs and under the white smoke we approach the cave. We kill the machine gunner and go inside.

We leave the cave and get a new task - to destroy the 200th mortars in the amount of 3 pieces. We clean the first bunker with a flamethrower and throw a couple of explosive packages (button 5, and then right-click). We blow up the whole thing (button 5 and LMB) and follow to the next bunker. You can replenish explosives at the exit from the cave where the parachute lies. We clean the second bunker with a flamethrower and throw a few explosives inside the building. We detonate and move to the third bunker, the last one. We thoroughly clear the area from the soldiers with the help of a machine gun, because. flamethrowers are dangerous to work here. We blow up the third bunker and meet with the sergeant.

Behind the broken door, another task awaits us - to find the entrance to the bunker. We move forward, soon we will be stunned, and we will need to move around the machine gun. We go forward, sticking to the left side. Don't forget to kill enemies and collect ammo. We “remove” the sniper from the tree, pass under the bridge, destroy the soldiers, enter the cave and clear the found bunker. Here you need to be extremely careful, because. the space is small and there are many enemies. Be sure to use cover and leave the battlefield in time to recover. We climb the stairs to the second floor, clean it and once again climb one floor up the stairs. We clean the room and after that we go upstairs along the left rise (it is better not to use the stairs). We were able to complete this mission together with hg-go.com.

We are out of ammo, moving forward to pick up dropped ammo from planes. We select a machine gun, which we lie on the ground, as well as a sniper rifle and cartridges in full. Soon one of ours will be shot by a sniper and the mission to hold the position will begin. The first thing www.HG-Go.com advises is to take out snipers on palm trees while behind cover, and only then take on ordinary foot soldiers. After that, we hide in a shelter. In a few moments, our partner will open the hatch and we climb through. We find ourselves in the tunnel, it is better to move on your haunches and use the machine gun. You need to clear this place by killing all the soldiers. We climb up the stairs, where a partner will be waiting for us. Several enemy kamikaze soldiers will immediately attack from above. We do not allow close contact with them. We go up the stairs to the square and attack Shuri Castle. It should be noted right away that it will take a long time to attack, shooting each soldier, otherwise if you just rush to the breach, then the replay of this mission is guaranteed. We move deeper into the castle, shooting enemies. Soon we will be given the task to destroy 4 mortar crews, all of them will be located on the same square. We throw all the grenades at the enemy and shoot. In mortar crews, there are charges that can be used like grenades, only the power is greater. We use this chance to clear the area. After all 4 mortar crews are destroyed, we go up the stairs to the building. We repel the kamikaze attack and clear the area ahead. We use tactics: shot - corpse - shelter and so on. We return to the department near the stairs. We go forward through the building, sit down at the machine gun and clear the area from enemy soldiers. We move on, go down the stairs and go forward along the tunnel, destroying the soldiers. Before approaching the stairs, we throw a couple of grenades forward. After we go upstairs, we pass along the building and go down. A large area with open space appears before our eyes, soon a battle will begin here, and our task will be to hold the territory. At first, the number of enemies will be large, we use shelters, and also help our partners. We throw grenades forward and pick up ammunition. Airstrike will be available to us soon. We call him on the northern buildings, after that on the eastern ones. Remember to hold the area; use the knife (V). You may have to use airstrike twice on the east building.

Heart of the Reich

The mission begins near the Reichstag, we are given the PCA and we move forward through the buildings, killing the enemies. We jump out of the library and run forward along the trench. Our next task is to take the department store by storm. Soon we go out into the open area, we need to destroy anti-aircraft guns, only 4 pieces. Near the tank there will be a bazooka with one shot, so the other 3 anti-aircraft guns will need to be destroyed with explosives, as shown in the screenshot. After destroying the anti-aircraft guns, you will need to destroy the 8.8 cm Flak anti-aircraft guns. We follow the building and clean the area. If you run out of ammo, then pick up enemy weapons. Soon our partner, who carried the flag, will die. We move to the doors of the Reichstag.
