Oral part in the Russian language in 9. Demo version of the oral part of the OGE in the Russian language. What does it consist of and how does it work?

On September 5, at a press conference at the Situation Information Center of Rosobrnadzor, a presentation of the final interview model in the Russian language for 9th grade students took place.

An oral interview in the Russian language is being introduced as part of the implementation of the Concept of Teaching Russian Language and Literature to test the oral speech skills of schoolchildren. It is planned that passing the final interview will in the future become admission to the state final certification for ninth grade graduates.

Oral part in the Russian language OGE 2018 - demo version from FIPI

A lot of hard work went into developing the examination model. Pilot testing of two models of the oral part of the GIA in the Russian language, an oral interview with a teacher and a computer form of the exam was carried out in October 2016 in the Moscow region, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chechen Republic. About 1.5 thousand students took part in it. Based on the results of testing and social and professional discussion, the model of the oral part of the GIA, which is an interview between a student and a teacher, was finalized. Its large-scale testing will be carried out in the fall of 2017 in 19 regions of the Russian Federation. Participation of regions in testing the final interview this year is voluntary and its results will not affect students’ admission to GIA-9 in 2018.

The final interview in the Russian language is aimed at testing spontaneous speech skills - the participant will be given about a minute to prepare.
The interview model includes the following types of tasks:
1) reading the text aloud;
2) retelling the text with additional information;
3) monologue statement on one of the selected topics;
4) dialogue with the examiner-interlocutor.
All reading texts that will be offered to interview participants are texts about outstanding people of Russia, such as the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the famous surgeon Nikolai Pirogov, our contemporaries Doctor Lisa (Elizaveta Glinka) and a doctor from Krasnoyarsk who performed an operation in difficult conditions and saved the child's life.

Each participant will be given about 15 minutes to complete the work. An audio recording will be made during the interview process.
The assessment of the completion of work assignments will be carried out by an expert directly in the process of answering according to specially developed criteria, taking into account compliance with the norms of the modern Russian literary language.

It is planned that the final interview will be held for 9th grade graduates in their schools. It will be assessed on a pass/fail system.

The head of the federal commission for developers of the KIM Unified State Examination and the Unified State Examination in the Russian language, Irina Tsybulko, noted that the developed model of the final interview has no analogues in world practice and expressed hope that the teaching community will take an active part in its discussion.

Greetings, my dear readers.

I know that Russian-speaking schoolchildren are terribly afraid of taking oral exams. And the oral part of the OGE in English seems completely impossible (not to mention). But believe me, proper and timely preparation is all you need to ensure you get a perfect score on the test. Therefore, today we will have a complete analysis of the oral part, as well as examples of tasks with answers.

Shall we begin?

What is it and what has changed in recent years

The oral part of the test only takes 6 minutes! But in 6 minutes you have to show everything you can do. You will be tested on everything: your pronunciation and speed of speech, your ability to understand questions and give a quick and clear answer to them, your ability to conduct an unprepared speech for 2 minutes.

Since 2016, the structure of the oral part has changed radically. You will have to cope with not two, but three tasks: you will need to read the text out loud, answer dialogue questions, and also make a monologue based on the picture (and, perhaps, without it this year!). Everything seems completely different from what it was just 6-7 years ago.

What does it consist of and how does it work?

The oral part consists, as I already said, of 3 parts, which in total take 15 minutes, of which 6 minutes go directly to the answer, and the rest to preparation.

  • Part 1 - reading a passage of text.

The task seems easy, right? Especially when you consider that you are given 1.5 minutes to read in advance. And after that - another 2 minutes to read out loud. You must read clearly, understandably, with correct pronunciation of sounds and correct intonation. And you only have 5 chances to make a mistake. After this, the points are reduced (that is, you will receive 1 or 0 points from 2 possible!).

Let's look at an example(click on the picture to enlarge).

First of all, pay attention to reading long and short sounds. I underlined the words with long and short [i] in red.

d i different, l i ved,h i dden, - here the percussive sounds are read as short

p eo ple, bel ie ved, n ee ded, - but here they read like long

I have highlighted in blue the words that have a short and a long [u]

r oo m, t oo ls - the sound here is long

c oul d, p u t - here it is short

I have highlighted in green the words where you can notice the sound [a], but again they will differ in longitude:

d ar k - long sound

h u nters - short sound

A very important point here is the correct pronunciation of interdental sounds (words in the text are underlined in yellow), which children so often like to replace with Russian [v, f] or.

sympa th etic th ey - clamp your tongue between your teeth and go!

In yellow frames I placed phrases in which I want to show differences in intonation. In the first case, we see a special question - and in these types of questions the intonation should be descending, in other words, it should fall. Listen

The second phrase is an introductory construction, which, firstly, must be separated from the rest of the sentence by a pause, and secondly, read with rising intonation. Listen.

Hope you can hear the difference! Observe, my dears, and those evaluating your answer will be very happy to give you the highest score!

  • Part 2 - answers to questions.

The task of this part is a dialogue where you have to answer 6 questions. This part of the test is designed to test how quickly, correctly and competently a student can use foreign speech.

For each answer to a question you can get 1 point each. If you answer too briefly where open answers are required, or make a lot of mistakes, you will not receive your point for the answer.

What I can advise you is to learn a couple of cliches for those answers where you need to express your opinion or give advice. For example:

In my opinion … - In my opinion…

From my point of view…- Cmypointsvision

I reckon … - I think …

I advise … - I advice…

Youd better do ... - You better do...

You should do....You should do...

In addition, it is important to answer clearly, without going into the wilds, and to follow grammatical rules!

So, an example of a task in question-answer format:

How old are you?

I'm 15 years old.

What's your hobby and why are you interested in it?

- My hobby is swimming. I"m interested in it because I adore swimming — it makes me cheerful and confident.

How much time a week do you spend on your hobby?

- As a rule, I spend on it about 4 hours a week.

What hobbies are the most popular with teenagers nowadays?

- From my point of view the most popular hobbies with teenagers now are computer games and some extreme sports like snowboarding.

Why do you think people take up hobbies?

- In my opinion people take up hobbies in order to find new friends, to get some new skills and just to feel happier.

What would you advise a person who wants to start a hobby?

You should find a hobby which will give you pleasure. If I were you I would go to the nearest sports club and find out what they offer...

  • Part 3 - monologue based on the picture.

You will be given 1.5 minutes to prepare this task and 2 minutes to complete it. You will have a picture before your eyes ( but it is needed only for support, and not for description! ), and the questions that need to be answered. This task is difficult, I’ll be honest, but it’s also worth a whole lot. 7 points.

Note: in 2018 it is planned to remove the picture and leave only questions.

Let's see an example:

-Why people like traveling.

-What way of traveling you prefer and why.

-Whether you prefer to be a package tourist or to be a backpacking traveler. Why.

My answer would be:

“And now I am going to talk about travelling.

People may travel for different reasons. For one group of people it may be the chance to spend their vacation at a completely different place from the one they are used to. For others it may be the way of living - their lifestyle.

Personally I prefer sight-seeing type of travelling. As I am keen on history I cannot stand the idea of not visiting all the historical places in Europe or Asia. What is more, I prefer traveling by bus as it allows me to spend a lot of time on the road and think about everything I need. Besides, it is much cheaper than traveling by plane.

According to this I may conclude that I am an absolutely backpacking traveler. The idea that you can spend one day in one city and move to another part of the country the following day appeals to me very much.

In the end I would like to say, that traveling broadens our minds and gives us an amazing experience we will never forget. Besides, you will be left with unforgettable memories. What could be better?"

How to prepare

Preparing for an oral exam is difficult. But finding a trainer for it will not be so difficult. I can recommend you the following assistants:

  • "English language. OGE. Oral part." Author - Radislav Milrud.
  • "OGE-2016. English language". Author - Yu.A. Veselova.
  • Publishing house books MacMillan, dedicated to this exam .

Recently, I have been purchasing most of the manuals and textbooks for myself and my students online. There you can always buy profitably and get it quickly. My favorite stores:

The training tasks in these textbooks are selected specifically for the level, and their number is enough for you to practice. What’s also important is that you can buy them in any bookstore (including online stores).

It’s even easier and, in my opinion, more interesting to use online simulator OGE (GIA) from LinguaLeo. There you can also find other high-quality and really effective English language courses, which I recommend to everyone!

Don’t forget, my dears, that I constantly share new tips on how to improve your English and how to better prepare for the exam. Subscribe to my blog newsletter and be the first to receive information on how to succeed on the test. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments!

In the meantime, I say goodbye.

The main state exam characterizes the level of basic knowledge of a student in a particular subject. Compulsory after grade 9 in 2018 is the OGE in Russian language and mathematics. Any 2 more subjects must be chosen by the student himself. It is quite possible that already this year the third exam in a foreign language will become mandatory. The total number of exams after grade 9 is planned to increase to six by 2019. The debate continues, but the formula will probably be this: 3 compulsory disciplines and 3 optional ones.

Oral part of the exam

Most of the controversy was generated by rumors about the introduction of the oral part of the OGE in the Russian language in 2018. However, fears turned out to be premature: in the coming year there will be no such innovation. This is due to the need to solve the problem of children with limited speech therapy capabilities. In addition, it is unclear exactly how to conduct testing: either by speaking on a computer device, or in the process of dialogue with members of the commission.

However, some schoolchildren will still have to take the Russian language orally: in the testing mode, this will be done for students in the Moscow region, Tatarstan and Chechnya. WITH2019 oral part of the State Academic Examination in the Russian languagewill be brought to life. According to representatives of the Ministry of Education, this will eliminate correct answers at random and will show the level of communicative development and the size of the student’s vocabulary by the end of 9th grade. This should have a positive impact on the personal development of the teenager. Assessment will be carried out on a pass or fail basis.

The oral part will include:

  • reading a text fragment out loud;
  • a brief and complete retelling of what you read;
  • monologue on a pre-selected topic;
  • live discussion with the examination committee.

Attention! Each of the 4 parts takes 15 minutes. The student must not only speak competently, but also think quickly and express thoughts succinctly.

Training options:

How is the state final certification carried out?

An important change in the OGE in the Russian language in 2018 will be that the assessment now affects the certificate issued at the end of school. That is, an exam for which 3 hours and 55 minutes is allocated cannot be taken carelessly. Neither if the student intends to continue his studies in college (grades are taken into account during selection), nor when choosing further school education.

The written part consists of three types of tasks: a short answer (number, letter), a detailed answer to a question, and a presentation based on the text. The maximum number of points is 39. The traditional “A” is awarded when passing the exam with a minimum of 34 points. At the same time, literacy is still very important: to get an A, you must score at least 6 points for the absence of errors.

Remember! To overcome the test and continue your studies, you must pass the Russian language exam with at least 8 points.

Subtleties of preparation

Typical versions of GIA tasks in the Russian language in 2018 will hardly change compared to previous periods. They are publicly available on the Internet. According to teachers, to successfully overcome the barrier, it is enough to regularly solve tasks, check the answers received with the correct ones, and monitor your knowledge according to the existing scale. If there are errors, you should consult and, possibly, get additional training from a teacher or tutor.

Immediately before the exam, which starts at 10 o’clock local time, you need to calm down, get a good night’s sleep, and have a hearty breakfast. You are not allowed to bring anything other than a fountain pen and water. Parents need to create a positive emotional background and instill confidence in the child. Regular study, solving demo versions, inner peace, familiarity with innovations on the official website is the key to successfully passing the OGE in Russian in 2018!

Important! The only aid that is allowed to be used in class is a spelling dictionary. The presence of any other items and devices will lead to withdrawal from the exam and a bad mark.

This academic year we have plannedapprobation of an oral exam in the Russian language in 9th grade . All regions will participate in it,” said Sergei Kravtsov. Such a test will become mandatory from 2019. The oral interview will take place in schools and will be assessed in the following format:"pass/fail".

Oral part of the OGE in Russian ( spontaneous correct speech)

The oral part in Russian will consist of four tasks.

Exercise 1– reading a short text out loud. Expressive reading is one aspect of reading skill. Reading that correctly conveys the ideological content of a work of art or article. Reading texts will contain information about outstanding people of the past and present. Preparation time - 2 minutes to prepare. Please note that reading the text out loud should not take more than 3 minutes. Errors cannot be corrected when reading!

Task 2- retelling the text with additional information (including quotes). Preparation time is 1 minute; you can use a draft and a pen during preparation (outline paragraphs, keywords). When retelling, the text is removed, leaving a quote in front of your eyes that the graduate can read out.

While completing task 3, it is necessary to construct a coherent monologue statement on one of the selected topics based on the plan. (at least 10 phrases) monologues on the photo are offered - description, topic - narration based on life experience and reasoning on the question posed. Preparation time – 1 minute. (statement no more than 3 minutes)

Task 4- dialogue with the examiner-interlocutor. (3 questions) Time to prepare - no preparation. The examiner will ask you to answer three questions.

The total response time for one examinee (including preparation time) is 15 minutes.

Each subsequent task is issued after the completion of the previous task. During the interview process there will be audio recording. (video recording)

Graduates of 9th grade will have a final interview in their schools . It will be assessed according to the system "pass"/"fail" .

Total points for the entire work19 points.

The examinee receives credit if he scores 10 or more points.

Materials for testing the oral exam in the Russian language in 9th grade are being developed in the region. RCIO can make its own adjustments.

Sound recording (video recording) is required.

If a child has a speech impediment (stuttering, failure to pronounce letters), they should not feel disadvantaged, you can extend the time a little, do not stop

There is still no clear regulatory framework for children with disabilities; there is no talk about them yet

    You can retake it once

Do not memorize, do not train in a stereotyped manner - there must be spontaneous speech!

Prepare according to the collections of I.P. Tsybulko, T.N. Malysheva (“National Education”, “Enlightenment”)
