Compose a fairy tale language of animals. How to write a fairy tale about animals? Tales of own composition. Mrs Kathy found a friend

Instruction

Each should consist of a plot, a conflict, a climax and finally a denouement. In the absence of one of these elements, you will not succeed in an interesting fairy tale. Although, perhaps, you will achieve your goal, and the child will fall asleep.

Choose the animals that you like the most and make them the main characters. If the kid loves, let Sharik go in search of adventure. And if the child is passionate about dinosaurs, make sure that the Tyrannosaurus Rex hosts guests.

It is better to come up with the main plot twists in advance and write them down if necessary. Then you will not have long pauses, during which the child will pull you with the question: “Well, what next?”.

The easiest way to come up with is by sending the main character on a journey. In this case, you will not have problems introducing new characters into the story, because you can meet any kind of animals on the road. The main thing, being carried away by the description of Africa, do not forget that the conflict and the denouement in the fairy tale must still be present.

When writing a fantasy story, remember that animals must follow basic safety rules. After all, the baby can try to fly on an umbrella, and go deep-sea swimming, using a reed instead of a breathing tube. Therefore, all the characters in your fairy tale must cross the road at the green light, not play with knives and follow the rules of the road while riding a bicycle.

The child will be bored listening to detailed descriptions of nature, but the text should not be dry. Instead of "an oak tree grew by the road" it would be better to say "a huge sprawling oak tree grew by the road", but you should not describe how its foliage rustled.

Remember that your fairy tale must have a happy ending. Also, in order not to invent new characters every evening, you can end the fairy tale so that the next day you can tell the continuation.

If you have a four-legged friend and you need to write a story about him, tell about his habits and skills. In the story, you can not only describe the appearance of your pet, but also emphasize his devotion and friendliness, intelligence and abilities.

Instruction

Tell us about when and under what circumstances a new family member appeared in your family. Share memories of the first impression he made on you. For example, you can talk about your cherished dream: to have a true friend, a dog.

List your dog's habits. For example, let him know that he prefers to sleep in the marital bed, or that he is always sniffing and checking out new people in the house.

Tell us how the upbringing process went: did everything work out with ease, which your four-legged friend did not want to put up with. If your dog has been trained by a professional trainer, please let us know.

Reveal the nature of your four-legged friend: lack of aggressiveness, friendliness towards children or wary of strangers, capriciousness and waywardness. Tell us how you manage to get along with your other pets, if any.

Tell us about what your dog has been trained to do (to fetch a stick you throw, to overcome special obstacles, to keep strangers away from you, not to take food from strangers, etc.).

Tell us about how you feel about your pet, how you value the time spent together, how it helps you overcome depression or just fatigue.

In order to write about any animal, you need to study in detail its behavioral characteristics, habitat and other characteristic features of the central character of your story. You also need to choose a narrator and think about the central storyline.

Learn more about the hero of the story

To begin with, it will not be superfluous to decide who your character is, to which group of animals he belongs, to find out the features inherent only to him. To do this, you can find TV shows dedicated to this animal, and read the stories of other authors so as not to repeat yourself. Reading at least some of the stories dedicated to the future character of your story is also necessary in order to draw valuable information from them and, having processed it, create something truly unique. Very valuable in this regard is the work of Vitaly Bianchi, Nikolai Sladkov, Ernest Seton-Thompson and a number of other Russian and foreign authors, in whose stories the animal world is completely revealed.

In addition, if you have such an opportunity, you can personally observe the behavior of this animal, see with your own eyes its small world, attitude towards offspring, nutritional needs, and maybe something else that is unique to him. Moreover, famous storytellers about animals are familiar with their characters firsthand. Some of the writers lived in harsh conditions in the taiga zones, hunted and, at the same time, studied the natural world.
However, not everyone can make such an observation. The easiest way is to observe the behavior of your pet. Living side by side with him for more than one year, you probably know more about him than anyone else. Accordingly, the story will turn out to be interesting, conveying vivid impressions of communicating with a four-legged friend.

storyteller figure

Before the story, you need to decide on whose behalf the story will be conducted. The story can be told by a special character who heard about this animal from someone, was an outside observer, or directly participated in the events. Also, the story can be presented on behalf of the animal itself. In this case, such a technique as the humanization of animals, endowing them with the abilities of people, is used. Dogs, cats, wolves, tigers and other animals that are storytellers tell about their hard life in a language you understand and often do human deeds.

The plot of the story

Starting to write a story, you need to think over its main storyline. If this is not done, your story may come to a dead end. It's also a good idea to plan a story, although many talented writers don't plan, but rather create spontaneously. For a beginner, a plan can be of invaluable help.

Horse and dog

There was a horse. One winter she went for a walk in the forest and saw a small house. When the horse was walking past the house, it stumbled over a branch. The thread crunched. The horse screamed "Oh!" and a puppy jumped out of the house. The puppy began to scold the horse: “Why did you wake me up? I slept there." The horse replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up." That's how they met. The horse's name was Rosa, and the puppy's name was Dozor. They became friends and started visiting each other.

Once Rosa was visiting the Watch. At this time, Santa Claus was driving past the Dozor house on a sleigh and carrying a large bag with gifts. Suddenly, a toy bunny fell out of the bag. Santa Claus did not notice this. The bunny was left alone in the forest. Rosa and the Watch ran past. They noticed the bunny, but did not immediately understand where it came from. And then the Watch saw the tracks of the sleigh on the road, and Rosa guessed that it was Santa Claus who was driving. The watch ran after the sleigh and returned the bunny to Santa Claus. Grandfather Frost was very happy, said “Thank you very much” and gave them gifts. He gave Rosa a doll, and gave a car to the Watch, and gave a bunny to a little girl.

Christmas tree

The puppy was walking down the street and saw a deer there. They met, became friends and went for a walk together. Friends went into the forest to choose a Christmas tree for the New Year. There the deer and the puppy saw a cat. The cat and the puppy weren't friends. The cat asked the puppy: “What are you doing here? This is my territory." "And who are you?" - asked the puppy. “I am Murka” - “And who are you?” . The puppy replied: "My name is Tuzik." The cat also came to the forest to choose a Christmas tree. They dispersed through the forest to find a suitable Christmas tree.

After some time, Tuzik called everyone and said: "I found the most suitable Christmas tree for us, let's celebrate the New Year together." The cat and deer agreed. Murka said: "Let's put a Christmas tree in my house." Tuzik asked: "Why to you, and not to the deer." The deer said, “Why are you arguing? We're friends. Let's leave the Christmas tree in the forest, and go get the toys ourselves." The dog brought elegant glass balls of different colors from home. The deer brought golden balloons with a picture of Santa Claus. The cat brought cookies with tangerines and bags with portraits of a deer and Tuzik. So the puppy and the cat became friends with the deer and began to live amicably and cheerfully.

Dreamland

A little girl lived in one fabulous country, and she loved to ride through the clouds on her magic horse and pick different flowers. The sun warmed, the clouds were like paths. The girl was always glad that there was such a wonderful horse in the world, beautiful flowers and the sun. Everything that was around seemed very kind and good to her. One evening, a car drove past a girl and her horse. Soot was coming from the car, and the flowers next to it withered, the clouds turned black, and the sun stopped being yellow, it wrapped itself in clothes and turned green. A boy was sitting in the car, and the girl shouted to him to stop the car. The car stopped, the boy got out and saw that where he had passed, the grass had drooped and the flowers withered. Then, he said that he would no longer drive a car, that he had to walk. And they, along with the girl, went on foot. The children brought water from the river and watered the flowers. Then the flowers came to life and different animals came out to meet the children: an elephant that collected grass and a lion that fluffed its mane. The animals thanked the boy and the girl for taking care of nature.

Cucumber Journey

There lived a cheerful cucumber in the garden. It was an unusual cucumber: he had small hands, he could speak and loved to take pictures. Cucumber was bored sitting in the garden with other vegetables, because they could not speak. He dreamed of becoming a traveler and finding a magic crystal that grants wishes. Once the cucumber went on a trip, and, of course, took his favorite camera with him. He went to the forest. In the forest, the cucumber met the Hedgehog.

The hedgehog carried apples and pears with him.

Hello, Hedgehog - said the cucumber.

Hello, cucumber - answered the hedgehog.

Let's be friends.

Where are you going? - asked the Hedgehog.

I'm looking for a magic crystal that grants wishes - Cucumber answered - let's go together.

Hello, frog - said the cucumber.

Hello, Cucumber and Hedgehog - answered the frog. - Where are you going?

We are looking for a magical crystal that grants wishes.

The cucumber called the bear:

Clubfoot, come with us to look for the crystal!

And the bear went with them. And then the travelers saw the mountain. Cucumber knew that the crystal was in a cave in the mountains. They went into the deepest cave in the rock and saw a crystal. Everyone made a wish

Cucumber missed home and wished to meet his family.

The hedgehog dreamed of growing up big and strong.

The frog wanted to see a beautiful pond.

The bear wanted to eat honey and go to sleep in a den.

The crystal sparkled. Friends blinked. When they opened their eyes, they saw that a large cucumber came out to them. It was the father of a little cucumber. And the whole family of cucumbers followed dad: mom, grandma and grandpa. The animals also remembered their parents and got bored. And then the parents of the animals came out. Everyone was very happy. Cucumber took a picture of them all together as a keepsake.

When everyone left the cave, the Hedgehog noticed that he grew up, became stronger and could help his mother, carry the bag. The frog went straight along the path and came out to a large pond. The bear ate a jar of honey and went to sleep in a den.

And when our heroes grew up, they met their love, created families and had children. Cucumber gave everyone a photograph. And friends always remembered each other.

FAIRY GLADE

Lilya Pomytkina, 7 years old, Kiev

There were little fairies in the flowery meadow. They lived together and loved to help people, especially children.

One day a little girl came to the flower field. She wept bitterly because her finger was cut. She didn't notice anything but the pain. Then the fairies surrounded her in a dense ring and waved their wings in unison. The girl felt relieved and stopped crying. The fairies asked the sun's rays to quickly dry the girl's tears, and she began to listen to everything around. She heard flowers smell, insects buzz, and birds sing. And the fairies whispered to her that the world around was beautiful, that the wound on the finger would soon heal, and you should not be very upset.

One little fairy brought a tiny plantain leaf and put it on the wound. Another asked a ladybug to play Rain or Bucket with a girl. And the third - called the breeze to smooth the girl's disheveled hair.

And the girl felt so good that she began to smile and play with the fairies. After that, the girl always came to the clearing of the fairies if she felt bad.

GRANDMA'S DUBOCHEK

Misha Kozhan, 8 years old

My grandmother lived in a big city. She loved nature so much that she planted oak trees under her window. He was so small that he could not bear the weight of a titmouse if she sat on his twig. Grandmother took care of her oak tree and greeted him every morning, looking out of the window. And my grandmother had a little grandson who often came to visit her. Together they went to their oak tree and looked after it. Then they sat side by side, and the grandmother read fairy tales to her grandson. Every summer they took pictures at the oak tree, and then rejoiced, watching how the baby and the tree grow. The oak tree had many new branches, and it no longer bent under the weight of the birds.

Oak was always looking forward to when the grandson would come to visit his grandmother. He was very fond of listening to his grandmother's tales with him and then retold them to his friends: the birds, the sun, the wind and the rain. Once the grandson came to his grandmother, but they did not come out to the oak tree and did not even greet him. Oak tree waited and waited, but did not wait. Then he asked the sparrow to look out the window and find out what was the matter. Sparrow flew in upset and said that his friend was in bed, he had a high temperature, and his throat hurt. Oak was very alarmed and called all his friends for help.

The raindrops gave the boy a drink of living spring water, the sun's rays warmed his neck, the breeze cooled his hot forehead, and the birds sang such a wonderful song that he immediately became cheerful. And the disease receded.

Thank you, oak tree, for your help, the boy said to his friend the next day.

Soon the boy went to school. Both of them grew and became prettier to the delight of their grandmother. The boy listened to fairy tales and thought that when they both grow up and become big, he will come to the oak already with his children and will also read fairy tales to them under the wide dense foliage of the oak. SNOWFLAKES UNDER CHERRY

Nastya Zaitseva, 8 years old

The enchanted garden slumbers in winter silence. Snowflakes-fluffs sleep peacefully under the spreading branches of cherries. Snowflakes had an interesting dream. As if they are circling around the cherry, and the cherry tells them: "What fun you are, my beloved children," - and then strokes them and hugs them. The fluffy snowflakes felt the gentle warmth and woke up in an instant. They were sad, because they were not children of cherries, but cherries comfort them: "Don't be sad. As soon as the sun warms, you will become droplets and merrily slide down to my roots."

That's how it all happened. The souls of snowflakes fell in love with their kind comforter. In the spring, they rolled down to her roots and became her real children: some are a leaf, some are a flower and a cherry. The dream of snowflakes came true.

GREEN CHERRY

Nastya Zaitseva, 8 years old

All cherries were ripe, only one berry remained green and small. She saw a beautiful, red berry next to her and said to her:
- Let's be friends.

The red cherry looked at her and replied:
- I don't want to be friends with you. I'm so beautiful and red, and you are green.

The green cherry saw a large cherry and said to her:
- Let's be friends.

I won’t be friends with you, you are small, and I am big, - answered the large cherry.

The little cherry wanted to make friends with the ripe berry, but she didn’t want to be friends with her either. So there was a little cherry without friends.

Once all the cherries were harvested from the tree, only the green one remained. Time passed and she matured. There was not a single berry on any tree, and when the children found a cherry, they were very happy. They divided it up and ate it. And this cherry was the most delicious.

A fairy tale is an excellent assistant in the upbringing of a schoolchild and an adult himself. Everyone can awaken their imagination and come up with their own story. The main thing is to wake up your creative vein a little. You can do this in the process of communication, asking each other questions. It is always interesting to compose your own fairy tale - after all, this is a story in which the author chooses events and characters himself.

Below are examples of fairy tales invented by schoolchildren about animals.

The Story of the Wolf Who Stopped Eating Sheep

Let's consider the invented fairy tale about animals about the Wolf who became kind. One day it was a very hungry year in the forest. There was nothing to eat for the poor Wolf. Already he hunted day and night, and gardens with orchards all ran around - nowhere did he get food. Even last year's apples in the garden across the lake - and they were all eaten by the emaciated Elk. There was a village nearby, and the Wolf got into the habit of eating sheep. The villagers could not do anything with the starving Wolf, and decided to destroy him.

And the Wolf had a little friend - Arctic Fox, who in exchange for prey always helped him with pleasure. One evening, the Arctic fox hid under a table in the house of one of the villagers and began to listen. The invented fairy tale about animals continues with the fact that the peasants gathered a meeting and began to discuss how they would destroy the Wolf. It was decided to organize a raid with dogs and hunt down the starving inhabitant of the forest.

Help a friend

The Arctic fox found out about the plans of the hunters and reported to the Wolf. The wolf says to him: “It's good that you told me this news. Now I'll have to hide from the angry hunters. Here you have a part of my booty today for your help to the poor Wolf. The arctic fox took a piece of the sheep's leg, which the Wolf offered, and went home. This small animal was independent and wise.

Wolf Problem

An invented fairy tale about animals introduces the reader to further events. The poor wolf became sad. He did not want to leave his native land, but what to do if the offended peasants decided so? He sat by the cold pond. The winter sun was already approaching its zenith. The wolf became hungry - the remains of the prey were eaten by the gray one last night. But he decided not to go to the village - in a moment the peasants would catch him there. The Wolf thought his heavy thought, but wandered around the lake. And then he sees - a dog skin lies on the frozen shore. He put it on and went to the village to get some fresh mutton for his dinner.

The wolf approached the village. No one noticed that a hungry predator ran down the street with his tail between his legs. Here comes the gray one into the sheepfold. Before he had time to catch even one sheep, the mistress came out and threw a bowl of porridge to the Wolf, mistaking him for a dog. The wolf ate the porridge, and it seemed to him very tasty.

This fictional fairy tale about animals ended well. The next time, cunning neighbor goats made their way into this yard and began to pluck cabbage. The wolf decided to thank the inhabitants of the house and drove the goats away. Only while he was driving them away did the dog's skin fall off him. But no one began to scold him. And since then, the Wolf moved from the forest to the house, stopped eating sheep and switched to porridge. And when his friend, the Arctic Fox, came to visit him, he treated him to his dinner.

Tale of the Fox

A fairy tale about animals invented by children is always a good story. Consider another example of a story that will serve as inspiration. Once upon a time there lived a lonely Fox in the forest near the lake. Nobody wanted to marry her. She was very cunning and sneaky, and all the animals knew about it. They wooed her for the Wolf, and for the Hare, and even for the Bear. Nobody wanted to take such a bride. After all, she would have taken the whole household to her paws and left nothing to anyone.

The Fox realized that she would remain in the girls. Only she had no idea why all the noble suitors avoided her. Then she went to the wise Owl to ask for advice. "Whoo, woo!" - shouted the Owl on the branch. “Hey, wise mother! - the Fox turned to her in a humble thin voice. “I wanted to ask you for advice, how can I, the red Fox, not be lonely.” “Okay, gossip, I’ll give you instructions now. Follow my advice - you will forget about sadness and longing and you will find yourself a groom in an instant. "Okay, Owl, I'm listening to you carefully!" Fox replied. The interlocutor answers her: “Go, Fox, for the distant lake, for the forest, for the neighboring village. There you will see a bast hut, decorated with paints and flowers. Knock on it three times, and when the inhabitant of the hut comes out, ask him to spend the night. And if you have enough ingenuity, then sell the chicken you caught the other day, but at a higher price. So you will understand whether others want to do business with you.

The redhead is on her way

A fairy tale about animals invented by children should also have an instructive component. The fox was surprised at the advice of the Owl. I thought about it and decided to obey: who wants to spend their time in girls! So she gathered her knapsack, combed her fluffy red coat, put on morocco boots and went to distant lands. She passed by a distant lake, a forest, and a neighboring village. Behind that village, the forest was completely dark. She sees - there is a bast hut on the edge, decorated with paints and flowers. She knocked on the door, no one answers. Then the red-haired woman began to knock even louder, until a voice was heard from the hut: “Who is bothering me with their noise?” - “It's me, a red gossip, I'm coming from distant lands, looking for shelter for myself at night. Whoever lets me in for the night, I will sell him a good product, a rare one - a chicken of a special breed.

How Lisa was wrapped around her finger

Then the gate opened and the owner of the bast hut, the Fox, came out. “What, redhead, are you lost in the forest? Why didn't you sleep at home?" The fox answers: “I went hunting, but hesitated to catch a thoroughbred guinea fowl. Now it's too late for me to go home. If you let me into the yard, I will sell you my booty at a good price. “And what will be your price, gossip?” “For ten gold coins I’ll give you the whole thing, and in addition with a cabbage leaf,” answered the Fox. “Okay, then come on in,” said the Fox. The redhead went into the bast hut, where the stove was just flooded. She was so exhausted that she immediately fell asleep on the bench.

In the morning the Fox woke up, and in the meantime the Fox managed the housework, and was going to hunt. “What is the science here?” - the redhead began to think. And the Fox said to her: “Well, if you slept well, godfather, then drink milk from the jug to the bottom. And collect your knapsack, but already leave the hut - it's time for me to hunt. "But what about the chicken?" - asked the Fox. “And leave your prey to yourself, you see, I am a noble fox, a wanderer is always ready to shelter.”

The fox went home. Look along the road - there is no guinea fowl in the knapsack. There are no morocco boots either - she has birch bark sandals on her legs. The deceived gossip said to herself: “And why did I have to deal with this Fox?” It was then that she remembered the words of the wise Owl, and the Fox began to work on correcting her character.

The Story of the Raccoon

Consider another short fictional fairy tale about animals. The hero of this story is Raccoon. A snowy cold winter has come to the forest. The animals began to prepare for the New Year. The fox took out her luxurious fiery red shawl. The hare became quite brave, began to sing New Year's songs to everyone. The fussy Wolf ran through the forest in search of a fluffy Christmas tree, but could not find it in any way, and there was already so little time ... The beavers tried to patch up their dam before the holiday. Little Mouse was collecting the leftovers of dried cheese in order to bake a fragrant pie for the New Year.

It is not easy to come up with a fairy tale about animals. But this task helps to awaken the imagination of a little writer. All the animals, of course, loved this holiday very much and prepared gifts for each other. But there was another inhabitant in the forest - a striped Raccoon. This December, he was just visiting Aunt Enotikha and had to be in time for the New Year to his friends for the festive table. His aunt saw him off for a long time, tried to feed him better, drink him, and comb his striped tail properly. “It’s not good to walk with such a disheveled tail!” said the aunt reproachfully. The raccoon knew that his aunt loved him very much, and therefore he also tried to lay his tail properly. “All right, aunty, it’s time for me to go,” said the Raccoon. - And then I'll be late for the New Year's feast. Who, without me, will entertain everyone with festive ditties? “Go, nephew,” replied Enotikha. - I congratulate you on the upcoming New Year!

The raccoon gave up

You can quickly come up with a children's fairy tale about animals if you give its characters the qualities of people. The main character of this tale has the characteristics inherent in a person. After all, people love to celebrate the New Year. The raccoon went on the road. But while he and his aunt combed his tail, a dark night fell. “It seems to be necessary to turn here ... - Raccoon thought. “Maybe not here, but there…” The road seemed to him quite confusing. Moreover, the moon hid behind the clouds - darkness has come in the forest, even if you gouge out your eye.

The poor Raccoon is completely lost. The New Year is just a few hours away. He ran and ran, and fell into an icy ditch. “Well, everything,” Raccoon thinks. “I won’t be in time for the holiday.” He lay down at the bottom of the pit and decided to go to bed. But as soon as he closed his eyes, a little Mouse ran over him. "Stop waking me up! Raccoon said. "Can't you see, I'm sleeping." “So you, perhaps, will sleep through the whole holiday,” answered the Mouse in a squeaky voice. “And I’m not going to the holiday. I don't need it, you understand? Can't you see I'm sleeping. Leave me alone". “I would have lagged behind you,” says the Mouse, “only I collect the remains of cheese for a New Year's pie in my underground passages, and you are lying right across my road.” She said - and darted into the hole.

The end of the tale about the Raccoon

A short fairy tale about animals, invented by children, should contain an instructive moment - after all, with the help of a fairy tale, a child learns to distinguish between good and evil, good and bad. In this tale, the protagonist learns his lesson at the end of the story. Raccoon was left alone again. “I don’t need this New Year,” he began to grumble. - I'm fine without your holidays. I'll sit here in the hole, warm up. And there, you look, and snow will fall enough for me to get out. And there are a lot of branches here to arrange a rooming house. But, of course, it was not to the liking of the Raccoon to miss the New Year's celebration. He argued, argued with himself for half an hour, and finally decided to ask the Mouse for help.

It is better if fairy tales about animals invented by schoolchildren (grade 5) have a good ending. He approached the earthen mouse passage, and began to call: “Mouse! Mouse! I changed my mind. I would still like to go to the New Year.” The mouse appeared right then and there, and said: “Will you sing funny ditties at the holiday, or will you grumble again?” “No, of course not,” replied the striped raccoon. “I will entertain my friends and rejoice myself, I would just like to get to the feast!” Then the Mouse called her goddaughters - ten little mice, and ordered them to go upstairs through the underground passages, and grab a strong twine. The goddaughters got up, lowered the rope to Raccoon and quickly got the poor fellow out of the pit. No wonder, because they eat delicious Swiss cheese, and it adds strength hoo!

The Raccoon got out to the surface and began to help the Mouse bake a pie. Together they managed to bake such a huge cake for the festival, which managed to feed all the animals. And Raccoon realized that he needed to be kinder.

Algorithm for creating history

Usually the time when children are asked to come up with a fairy tale about animals is grade 5. You can compose a fairy tale using a special template. It consists of the following items.

  1. Time of action. For example, "a long time ago", "in 3035".
  2. Location of events."In the Kingdom of Far Far Away", "on the Moon".
  3. Description of the main character. Since the task is to come up with a fairy tale about animals (literature, grade 5 is a subject for which students receive it at home), the main characters here should be representatives of the animal world.
  4. The person who opposes the hero. It can be evil forces, or enemies.
  5. The main event that happened to the character. What happened to make the main character and his opponent come face to face?
  6. Actions of assistants to the main character.
  7. The final event of the story.

Fairy tales invented by schoolchildren (grade 5) are one of the best literature homework assignments that children will love. The talent of the storyteller is not born by itself. We need to work on its development. That is why students receive such homework assignments, with which you can develop imagination.

LANGUAGE OF ANIMAL

story

One man had a shepherd, for many years he served the owner faithfully. Once he was tending sheep and heard some strange hissing in the forest. He wanted to know what was the matter, and he went in that direction. And suddenly he sees the forest is burning, and a snake hisses in the fire of the fire. The shepherd stopped. The flame approached the snake closer and closer.

Shepherd! For God's sake save me from the fire! the serpent screamed.

The shepherd held out a stick, and the serpent along it reached the hand, and from the hand to the neck, and wrapped around it. The shepherd was frightened and said to the snake:

Woe is me! I saved you, but I ruined myself!

Do not be afraid, - the snake answers, - take me to the father, the king of the snake.

The shepherd does not go, refuses.

I can’t, - he says, - leave the sheep.

Don't worry about the sheep, nothing will happen to them, just go quickly.

The shepherd walked for a long time with a snake around his neck through the forest and finally reached the gate woven from living snakes. They approached the gate, the serpent whistled, and the gate immediately unraveled. The serpent says to the shepherd:

When we arrive at the palace, your father will offer you silver, gold, and precious stones. But you refuse everything, and only ask him to give you the gift to understand the language of animals. He will not immediately agree, but in the end he will give.

As soon as they entered the palace, the serpent king wept and asked the serpent:

Where have you been, my son?

The serpent told his father everything in order: how the flames surrounded him and how the shepherd saved him. Then the serpent king said to the shepherd:

What will reward you?

I don’t need anything, just give me the gift to understand the language of animals, the shepherd answered.

No, such a gift will not bring you happiness. After all, if you get it and tell anyone about it, you will die right there. Ask for something else, said the serpent king.

If you want to thank me, make sure that I understand the language of animals, but if you don’t want to, then be healthy, I don’t need anything else. - With these words, the shepherd turned and walked away.

The king called out to him.

Wait a minute! Come here. If you really want this, open your mouth.

The shepherd obeyed, and the snake king spat into his mouth.

Now you spit in my mouth,” he said.

The shepherd spat, and then the king spat; and so three times, and finally the serpent king said:

Well, you have received the gift to understand the language of animals. Go to yourself in peace, but if life is dear to you, look not a word to anyone. As you say - here you and death.

The shepherd is gone. He walks through the forest and hears and understands everything that birds, animals and other forest creatures say. He came to his sheep, counted them, and seeing that they were lying quietly, he himself lay down to rest. Before he could lie down, two ravens flew in, sat on a tree and started talking in their own language:

If only the shepherd knew that where the black lamb lies, a cellar has been dug in the ground, and in the cellar there is gold and silver!

The shepherd heard this, went to the owner and told him. He gave the cart, together they dug out the entrance to the cellar and took the treasure home. The owner was an honest man and gave the whole treasure to the shepherd.

Take, son, the whole treasure, - he said. - Build a house, get married and live happily.

The shepherd took the treasure, built a house, got married and lived in it. Soon he became the richest man not only in his village, but in the whole district. The shepherds grazed his sheep, cows and pigs, the grooms looked after the horses.

One day, at Christmas, he said to his wife:

Prepare wine, rakia and snacks, we will take tomorrow to the shepherds, let them have fun too.

The wife prepared everything. In the morning they went to the farm, and in the evening the owner said to the shepherds:

Eat, drink, be merry, and I will watch over the flock all night.

At midnight the wolves howled, the dogs barked.

Can we come and enjoy? the wolves asked. - We will give you meat!

Come, we are also not averse to eating, - the dogs answered. Only one dog, so old that he had only two teeth left in his mouth, barked:

You're lying. As long as I have two more teeth in my mouth, I will not let my master do harm.

As soon as dawn broke, the owner ordered to kill all the dogs, except for the old dog. The shepherds began to say:

God be with you, master! Pity them!

But the owner replied:

Do as I command! - and went home with his wife.

They rode on horseback: the husband on a horse, and the wife on a mare. The horse rode forward, and the mare lagged behind. The horse neighed and said to the mare:

Get moving! What are you behind?

Yes, you feel good, - the mare answers, - you are carrying one owner, and I have three: the mistress, in her child and in me a foal.

When the husband heard this, he turned around and laughed, and the wife, seeing that he was laughing, drove the mare up, caught up with her husband and asked why he was laughing. The husband replied:

Nothing, never mind.

But the wife did not believe and kept pestering her husband to tell her.

God bless you wife! What is it you? Yes, I myself, really, don’t know what I was laughing at, ”says the husband.

But the more he refused, the more his wife molested. Finally the husband said:

If I tell you, I'll die right away.

But she did not believe him and kept begging - say yes say! With that, they came home. The husband immediately ordered a coffin and, when it was ready, placed it in front of the house.

Now I will lie down in the coffin, - he said to his wife, - I will tell you what I laughed at, and I will die right away.

So he lay down in the coffin and looked around for the last time. And at this time, an old faithful dog ran from the herd, sat down in the heads of the owner and began to cry. The husband saw this and said to his wife:

Bring a piece of bread and give it to the dog.

The wife brought and threw a piece of bread to the dog, but the dog did not even look at him. Then a rooster jumped up and let's peck the bread. The dog says to the rooster:

Damned glutton! You just need to eat, you don’t see that the owner was going to die.

Well, let him die, the law is not written for fools, - the rooster answers. - I have a hundred wives, and I can handle them all. And the owner completely blundered: he can’t cope with one.

The husband heard this, rose from the coffin, picked up a stick and called his wife into the house:

Come on, I'll tell you everything, - he said and let's walk around her with a stick. - Here's to you, here's to you!

The wife fell silent and never again asked what he was laughing at.
