1. You contact the university in China, discuss the possibility of applying with them.
2. You register on the cucas website (I haven’t registered and I have no idea what is there and how) and submit everything online (you also pay there for sending each package of documents)
3. There is also a certain Hanban - I don’t give a fuck about this in my soul and I don’t show interest. It seems like something is connected with the Confucius Institute.
My method, as you know, is the number ONE method. Its scheme is as follows:
documents are sent by e-mail to the department for working with foreign students at the university of your choice >> if you are even a little bit interesting to the host (and according to rumors, by 2020 the number of laovais-students will increase to 500,000 people), then they prepare the rest of the documents and send them to Chinese Scholarship Council (Chinese Scholarship Counsil) >> the council carefully reads what you wrote there in the application form and sends back the resolution APPROVED with an important piece of paper - form JW202 - this is your pass to the world of guobaorou and high-speed trains >> the university contacts you and sends by registered mail this form, as well as the Admission Notice - so that you can wave them in front of your friends and at a farewell party somewhere successfully fuck the thread (which I strongly advise against) >> EVERYTHING! 2. Diploma of Higher Education
(copy certified by a notary). This means that you need a bachelor's, master's, doctor's degree - anyone, but not from a vocational school. We take the document, translate it + the application into English / Chinese and certify the translation with a notary for a fee (only your translator or translation center can do this)
3. academic transcripts
- I don’t know what it is exactly (probably your publications and so on - but I had only a couple of publications in a scientific collection and I didn’t remember about it), but I attributed my diplomas and other pleasant bonuses collected for my 22 (on that moment) of the year. I chose the most important ones and also scanned / translated - I didn’t certify with a notary, it’s written on the site :(
4. Study Plan/Curriculum.
You most likely need to write a curriculum. What is a curriculum? A document in which you describe in detail how you will study (2020 - I'm learning Chinese, blablabla I'm studying the culture of blabla, 2021 - I'm studying for a master's degree, I'm interested in everything in a row, I participate in the life of the university, I'm preparing to choose a dissertation topic, I'm collecting material:, 2022 - getting ready to defend blablabla) - you need to lie with a serious look. The fact that you will thump all the time in a hostel is your business. And it’s simply impossible not to drink here))) In the same way - translation into English / Chinese, no need to certify
5. Letters of recommendation
in the amount of at least 2 from professors (doctors of science and candidates) - compose the text yourself (I did it initially in English, I wrote it myself - turn on your brain, google and compose a colorful letter why you should immediately be accepted to the university), go to the store for good alcohol (not Soviet champagne, but buy at least a martini - you need a good signature) - and then you certify it with professors, at the department of foreign languages, as well as in the personnel department.
They signed me: a professor, a vice-rector, a head of foreign languages (point Trasnlation is approved ___ by _____) and the personnel department endorsed their signatures.

And another letter was signed to me by the director of the enterprise.
6. If you are under 18
you need to somehow confirm the guarantors in China - I don’t know how to do this, it’s better to age up to 18 and then collect the docks
7. A copy of the medical examination form.
Attention, in order to stop srach on the hemisphere I tell. You pass the medical examination twice! Once in a rashka - in order to submit it when obtaining a visa to China. Upon arrival in China, the university will collect you in an organized manner and send you to the clinic all over again for money (about 400 yuan). So, I was a little scared by the seriousness of the checks, I downloaded this form, found a phone and for 2000 rubles they drew me in English everywhere "normal, normal, recommended for study abroad" and I didn’t wear my blood to anyone.
8. Certificate for AIDS of international standard - by default it is done in English and costs 450 rubles somewhere
Attention! The total package of documents should not exceed 20 sheets. So see for yourself that everything fits.
Make scans of all documents, assemble them into one PDF file - don’t fuck the brain of the receiving party and don’t send in Word - I would kill you right away for such letters of happiness (Word with pictures weighs fucking fucking how much)
Bottom line: a good bundle of documents, 1 week of time (if you really have the concept of time management), about 3,500 rubles for translations, assurances, bribes, sweets and cognacs
I tell further. I successfully sent the documents in early March (in general, the deadline is the end of February) and began to wait. Every single day I fell asleep with the thought "Well, when I go, I'll go to China! How good it will be for me!"
Weeks and months went by and no one wrote to me, they didn’t answer letters and dick knows how everything happened there.
I've already quit the company, fucked everyone up, and started my own business with a partner.
In short, I fucking scored already on a grant and dreams of the incomprehensible.
And then, in mid-July, I got a call from a number on +86 and they said in Russian, they say, Mr. Alexander, we are sending you an invitation to study - specify your address, please. At that moment, loss of speech, an attempt to jump out of the pradik under an oncoming car, and in general - I have a business here, I just swam in the sea, and you make such proposals to me.
I thought for a week what to do, because there is something to lose - work and freedom is not clear for what. But everything turned out extremely well, you can do business remotely, and the time spent in China was not superfluous to anyone else.
Then there was a battle at the consulate - because filling out the documents is just fucking hard labor, but I managed it myself. 1 week of waiting and a wonderful visa X is pasted into my passport.

The second-year students of the RANEPA, studying under the program, became the winners of the competition for state scholarships from the government of the People's Republic of China.
Students who receive scholarships study at the Presidential Academy. Aliya Safina, Andrey Dagaev and Savely Sultanaev passed a tough selection to participate in the competition. The applicants' documents were reviewed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and then by the relevant structures of the People's Republic of China.
According to the results of the competition, students of the program "Foreign Regional Studies" of the RANEPA will undergo an internship abroad in the 2017-2018 academic year. They will study at universities in China that they choose.

There are two trodden paths on how to go to study in China on a scholarship. This is scholarship from the Confucius Institute and CSC (scholarship from the Chinese government)
. I don’t promise you mountains of gold, I’ll just tell it like it is. If ten years ago you would have been begged to go to China to study for free, now the competition is growing more and more due to the development of the economy and the popularity of China. And the demands are growing accordingly.
Confucius Institute
The Confucius Institute (CI) is a network of cultural and educational centers around the world, established by the Chinese government in cooperation with foreign Sinological centers with the aim of spreading the Chinese language abroad. That is, the Confucius Institute is based at some university, it is not a separate university. For example, in Ukraine, ICs are located in three cities: Kyiv, Odessa and Kharkov.
What scholarship can you apply for?
You can go to a language course at a Chinese university for six months or a year. If you are going for six months, then you can choose when you want to go - in the first half of the year (September-January), or in the second (February-June). You can also apply for a master's degree.
How to apply, what are the requirements?
First of all, you need to go to the nearest EC and clarify in detail the requirements and the availability of free scholarship places, because the requirements may change due to competition. For example, earlier, in order to go to language courses for six months, it was enough to pass HSK I and HSKK II, but now you need to take HSK III and score at least 210 points out of 300 possible.
If you are going for a year, then you need to score even higher - HSK III 280. And for a master's degree they require HSK 5 with a passing score of 180. And you should be no more than 45 years old.
Everything in scanned form is served on this site. http://cis.chinese.cn/ in your personal account. I don’t know how it is in other ICs, but in mine they created and uploaded the documents that we had previously provided to us and a personal account. You will specify this moment in your IC, website, if you know anything now.
You are required to trace
reference documents: 1. Your certificate of complete secondary education, translated into English with grades + certificate from the place of study. Or a Bachelor's/Master's degree. It all depends on what you graduated from and where you study or no longer study.
2. A certificate that you have completed courses from the IC (they are paid and this is a prerequisite), as well as their letter of recommendation (this is for language courses, check with the nearest IC about the master's program, as the conditions change).
3. HSK and HSKK certificates.
4. Motivation letter in Chinese. It is pre-checked by IC staff.
5. If you are on a master's program, then they may also require letters of recommendation about you from professors at your university.
What will you get:
1. Monthly scholarship for the duration of study (courses 2,500 yuan or 390 dollars, master's degree 3,000 yuan or 468 dollars). A little advice: take 300-500 dollars with you, because in the first month the Chinese can delay the scholarship, but you want to eat.
2. Free accommodation in a hostel.
3. Free education in language courses or magistracy.
4. One time HSK in China can be taken for free.
5. Diploma stating that you have completed the language courses of a certain Chinese university when you complete them accordingly.
What do you pay:

Due to the fact that I myself went to China on a scholarship from IC, I can highlight the specific pros and cons of this scholarship:
Main advantages
1. You don’t eat by yourself, but by a group (if you eat in the first semester, then you will get into the majority, if in the second, then maybe yourself). It is very good for those who travel to China for the first time. Let's put it this way, if you want to go for a trial to see if you like China or not, then this scholarship is perfect for you.
2. You can choose to go for six months or for a year if you are going to the courses.
3. Even if you have already graduated from the university, you can still participate - it will be even more convenient. But you must not be over 45 years old.
Main cons
1. After the end of the scholarship, you cannot apply for Chinese scholarships for several years.
2. If you are not an IC student (that is, you are not from their linked university and are still studying somewhere else and from another university), you will have to negotiate with your university about what to do with you when you leave. Either go to school, or take distance learning, or take an individual schedule, or even academic leave.
3. You can only go to Chinese universities with which IC cooperates.
CSC scholarship
Now we've moved on to the sweetest part.
CSC is an official scholarship given out by the Chinese government every year. It is possible, both for a bachelor's degree (you will receive 2500 yuan and you must be no more than 25 years old), and for a master's degree (3000 yuan and you must be no more than 35 years old), and for a doctoral degree (3500 yuan and you must be no more than 45 years).
It is also possible to apply simply for language courses, but it is very rare for someone to do this with this particular scholarship. Here is purely my personal advice and my friends, if you are already applying, it is better for a master's degree. Everything is basically served on it, because a bachelor in China is, well, such a thing. And for a doctorate ... My Pakistani friend did not recommend it at all. Maybe he just didn't like it. I am not stopping you in any way, but only supporting you. I myself did not go on this scholarship, but my friends are very pleased, because you can choose the language of instruction yourself (some universities offer education in English for certain specialties, some in Chinese). If in Chinese, then you are still given the opportunity to study language courses for a year immediately before the start of training. Let's say a master's degree is usually 2 years, and you study the language for another 1 year ... Why not a fairy tale for a lover of China?
To apply for this scholarship, you can apply for help at the consulate or apply directly to the university directly. The results will be known at the end of May / beginning of July. You send the finished package of documents directly to the university directly by mail.
How to apply for CSC scholarship:

And also whether you need to fill out an application for membership on their website, pay an entrance fee, etc. That is, you first fill out a form on Laihua, then, if they require you to fill it out on the university website, then you simply attach your CSC form and then fill it out there. Calculate and prepare everything in advance - preferably a year or six months in advance, because translations and collection of documents take the lion's share of time. You will need patience. When you apply for any scholarship no matter where, you become a “waiter” to a certain extent. Unfortunately, this thing does not happen quickly, sharply and boldly ...
2) After you have decided on the university, you will definitely need to go fill out the questionnaire, as described above, and enter the so-called Agency Number into it, that is, the number of the selected university. There is a list on the internet. This is very important, because if you enter the wrong one, then you fly by. Then you choose the type of scholarship you want.
3) You also attach your documents to the questionnaire in electronic form. And before you approve the questionnaire, you must definitely check everything carefully, whether everything is okay, then download it in PDF format, and then press the “confirm” button. Then you make 2 packages of documents and send them by mail to the university at their address.
Documentation:
1) Certified and translated copies of your bachelor's or master's certificate/diploma with grades. It would be great if the academic performance was good, because the Chinese look at grades, but this is not critical.
Scholarships in China
Getting higher education in China is not only profitable, but also prestigious. By opening access to free higher education, the Chinese government has made the country a world leader in scientific, technical and medical developments. Foreign students also have the opportunity not to pay for their education in Chinese universities, but this luxury is not available to everyone, but only to the most talented and promising students.Higher education in China is officially free, but the competition for one budget-funded place in a bachelor's program sometimes reaches 50-100 people, depending on the university and the demand for the specialty. In addition, first of all, Chinese citizens are enrolled in universities for state-funded places, so foreigners most often have to pay tuition fees.
As a rule, the cost of one year of study at a bachelor's degree on average costs a foreigner 2,000 USD - 5,000 USD, which is much lower than the price tags offered by many American and European universities. A huge plus of getting higher education in China is that the government and third-party funds allocate a lot of scholarships and grants, the amounts of which allow you to fully or partially cover the costs of studying and living in a foreign country.
How to get a scholarship in China?
Getting funding from the Chinese government or alternative funds is quite realistic. To qualify for a grant or scholarship, a candidate must meet certain requirements:- be no older than 25 years old (for undergraduate studies), no older than 35 years old (for masters programs) and no older than 40 years old (for doctoral studies);
- have an adequate command of the Chinese language (as a rule, a certificate of HSK -4 and above is required). This requirement is not always mandatory, for example, for university scholarships (concerning language courses);
- have a high grade point average (GPA) of a diploma or certificate (the criterion depends on the requirements of a particular scholarship program or university);
- high academic performance during the academic year (if the candidate plans to receive a scholarship at the beginning of the next semester or year of study);
- excellent health (this indicator is especially important when applying to Chinese universities, where a certificate of complete medical examination and the absence of chronic diseases is required);
- the presence of an interesting research project or a future project plan (this criterion is important for master's and doctoral students).

Government Scholarships in China
The scholarship program was created with the support of the Ministry of Education of China, it is aimed at maintaining the interest of foreign specialists in Chinese culture and traditions. The applicant for the scholarship must have a PhD in a field related to Chinese culture, language or history. An equally important criterion in the selection of candidates for a scholarship is the availability of author's publications in well-known publications. Financial assistance to the scholarship holder is allocated for a period of 5 months in the amount of about 3,000 yuan per month.
The scholarship fully covers the cost of studying and living abroad (including meals and the purchase of teaching aids). Each participant of the program is allocated 1.5 million rubles. After graduation, the scholarship holder is obliged to return to their homeland and work for at least 3 years in a domestic company.
Independent Scholarships
Scholarships from Chinese Universities
Hohai University offers full and partial funding to international students. Full scholarships cover all the costs of studying at a university up to the payment of an entrance fee for the examination of documents and housing. In addition, undergraduate students receive a monthly allowance of about 1,000 yuan, future masters receive at least 1,300 yuan, and PhD students receive about 1,500 yuan. Partial funding usually only covers tuition and living expenses.
3rd year undergraduate students and students of postgraduate programs (master's, doctoral studies) can apply for a scholarship from Peking University. The only caveat: candidates for scholarships are nominated by university professors. Each applicant is considered by the teaching council, after which a decision is made on the appointment of a scholarship. Every year, the university provides about 5 scholarships for doctoral students of 10,000 yuan, another 10 scholarships for doctoral students of 5,000 yuan, 15 scholarships for future masters of 4,000 yuan and 30 scholarships for undergraduate students of 3,000 yuan.
LZU or Lanzhzhou University, in order to attract talented students, has established a scholarship program that aims to support students in master's and doctoral programs. Applicants must meet the requirements of the university (holding a bachelor's degree for master's studies and a master's degree for doctoral studies, respectively), have a certificate of medical examination, as well as high academic performance. Financial assistance for master's students is about 3,000 yuan per month, for doctoral programs - about 3,500 yuan per month. Fellows are exempt from tuition fees, housing, teaching and laboratory materials.
