How to paint eyelashes with mascara?

straight brush

The classic fluffy brush allows you to evenly paint over the eyelashes without creating lumps. One stroke of the brush is enough, and you will get more expressive eyelashes that will be appropriate in daytime makeup. In addition, it is convenient to paint over thin lower eyelashes with such a brush.

Oval brush

This thick brush is your all-rounder. It is suitable for expressive daytime makeup: it is enough to apply mascara in one layer, after removing excess product from the brush. For a more dramatic look, apply mascara in two coats in a zigzag motion. Thanks to this brush, you will get the longest eyelashes.

curved brush

The curved brush perfectly curls the eyelashes, you can even not use it first, it will easily perform its functions. Despite the unusual shape, it is easy to paint over eyelashes with such a brush, it repeats their natural curve and allows you to “reach out” to the thinnest and shortest ones.

Mascara techniques for eyelashes

The effect of unpainted eyelashes

If you like your lashes to look natural but not naturally expressive, follow this technique. You will also need an eyelash comb (preferably with metal teeth), which you will use off-label.

Thanks to this method, you will paint over the eyelashes and lift them without creating a special volume and length. This technique is suitable for those who do not like too bright makeup, but only want to add color to light eyelashes.

Apply a little mascara to all teeth and comb through the upper and lower lashes. A small amount of mascara will suffice. Pay special attention to the outer corner of the eye.

If you feel like your lashes aren't curled enough, you can apply another coat of mascara. However, this must be done while the previous layer has not yet had time to dry.

Expressive eyelashes

To brighten the eyes and create the illusion of eyeliner, press the brush against the base of the lashes while painting over the lashes. The imprinted mascara will imitate eyeliner on the upper eyelid, and will give expressiveness to the eyes. In addition, this method will help to better fix the bend of the eyelashes.

"Cat" look

To create the effect of a cat's eyes, paint over the eyelashes by pulling the brush to the temples. In this way, you will simultaneously style the eyelashes and give the eyes an almond shape.

Curl your lashes with a curler. Ten seconds is enough to add a noticeable curve and open the eyes.

Remember to apply mascara to all lashes, not just the middle. Pay special attention to the outer corner of the eye.

If you notice that no matter what mascara you use, it tends to be imprinted on the upper eyelid or slide down the lower eyelid during the day, go over the eyelids with dry beige shadows or light translucent powder. This will create a dry barrier between sebum (sebum) and mascara, making your makeup last longer throughout the day.

For girls with straight eyelashes, a curler is an indispensable tool. It will help to add a beautiful curve to the eyelashes and visually lengthen them. Only use the curler before applying mascara to avoid damaging your lashes. Squeeze the curler at the roots of the lashes, and then with a vibrating movement (relaxing a little and squeezing again) climb up the lashes, curling them to the middle of the length.

If you want to give your eyes maximum brightness and extra thickness to your eyelashes, add a long-lasting black eyeliner to the line between the lashes. Do this before applying mascara, otherwise the stained lashes will not let you get to the roots of the lashes.

  • Perhaps, in the process of staining, the pencil will be imprinted on the lower mucosa (which is completely normal, because we blink). At the final stage of makeup, simply wipe it off with a cotton swab. At this point, the pencil will dry on the upper eyelid and be fixed.

If you often stain your upper eyelid by coloring your lashes, try accustoming yourself to an unusual procedure. Start painting over the eyelashes from the bottom row and only then go to the top one. In order not to spoil the makeup on the lower eyelid with an accidental flick of a large mascara brush, take a small eyeshadow brush, pick up a small amount of product on it and transfer it to the eyelashes. Move not with the usual movement from the roots of the eyelashes to the tips, but from side to side. It will be faster and easier to paint over short lower eyelashes.

  • In the case when the eyelashes on the lower eyelid are too long and, when completely stained, shift the entire accent of the makeup to the lower eyelid, paint over them only at the roots. To do this, apply a small brush with the flat side closer to the roots of the eyelashes and do not continue moving along the entire length.

Start staining the upper eyelashes by pressing the brush to the roots. Rotate the brush to lift the roots and transfer most of the product onto them.
