Mi 5X works out of the box on MIUI 8. There is no global firmware yet, and it’s not a fact that it will be at all, because there is no global version of Mi 5X. The performance of the Mi 5X is average, and if you're into heavy gaming, the Mi 5X is not for you. Snapdragon 625 is a fairly average processor that does not cause a storm of positive emotions. Xiaomi did not rely on performance. Mi 5X is more about design and camera.
