After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, Ekaterina Mukhina got into the fashion industry as a junior editor of the Russian Vouge. A few years later, Vouge was replaced by Elle magazine, and from junior editor, Ekaterina became editor of the fashion department. Then there was Marie Claire magazine and the position of director of the fashion department. But in the end, Ekaterina returned to Vouge Russia and became the first Russian director, replacing Simon Robins in this post. Mukhina was also a guest fashion director of Vouge Ukraine.
Ekaterina is quite famous all over the world, she always looks great at fashion shows. And her images often "leave" in various blogs about fashion and style. Light and relaxed style, sometimes a little casual, but this makes it even more interesting and intriguing. Catherine in an interview has repeatedly said that you need to look for your own individual style, and not follow fashion trends. The leading image stylist commented on how Katya Mukhina herself dresses and some of the images.
“Ekaterina Mukhina has been living and working in the fashion world for many years. She completes the images easily and naturally, as she breathes. There is no artificiality, the feeling that she specifically tried. Fashionable things are taken and inscribed in everyday looks. There is a slight charming negligence in everything.
In the first two images, one technique was used: an interesting textured skirt is complemented by a simple one.
Moreover, in the first case, Ekaterina relied on the play of textures (suede boots and bulk knit sweaters) and added a little color. Irregularity in the ensemble is set by earrings resembling Gzhel. Why did she wear them?

And yet, with each fashion season, there are more and more characters whose origins and fine taste are continuously connected with neighboring Russia. One of such bright characters is Ekaterina Mukhina. Some still can’t get used to putting the prefix “former” before the definition of “director of the fashion department of the Russian VOGUE”. And in the meantime, it is Katya Mukhina moved to London, and from now on she collaborates with VOGUE as a remote fashion editor.

Some obsession in the form of “everything is good in the West, but everything is bad here” sometimes really prevents us from objectively perceiving the Russian beauty as a fashionista with a delicate taste. But really - cover Katya Mukhina's face with a photograph or, and no dissonance, however, will arise. Slender legs, long wavy hair, laconic and moderately trendy combinations, no flashy shades and crazy fashion antics. All in openwork - what else to say. We are especially pleased when Slavic girls prove without much effort that we don’t need to “reach out” to European fashionistas, because we can pull anyone we want for ourselves.
