Today I would like to write about the sensational diet around the world, which is based on activated charcoal. Therefore, I decided to tell you how it works and who it helps in order to dispel unnecessary myths (lies) about this diet.

First, I will digress and talk about the absurdity of many people who wanted and want to lose weight, thanks to incomprehensible means (expensive pills, creams, weight loss belts, etc.) and harmful ones, but this is far from new in our modern society. So, there were people who even ate sea sand in order to achieve the loss of extra pounds. America, for example, at one time was well addicted to petroleum products, adding them to a salad under the attractive name "mineral oil".

There are safer ways to get rid of extra pounds. The activated charcoal diet method is one such safer way to lose weight that is gaining popularity in today's society. Activated charcoal is a sorbent that helps the body to be more thoroughly cleansed of toxins, toxins and, as a result, of extra pounds, since the slagging of the body slows down the metabolism, which leads to excess weight. But not everything is so simple, so let's figure it out.

This diet is based on activated charcoal and there are many options for its use, but I recommend the most harmless only two:

  1. First way. The diet consists of taking 1 tablet for every 10 kilograms of weight before each meal and it is designed for 3 days. But you do not need to use it before every meal, that is, snacks. Take this sorbent no later than 30 minutes before meals.
  2. The second way. It is less effective, but the most recommended. Because the dosage is the smallest and it consists in taking only 10 tablets per day, before each solid meal, 15-30 minutes before meals. Therefore, divide 10 tablets into 3-4 meals and the duration of this method is also no more than 3 days.

Of course, the first scheme is more productive and is a very strong recipe for getting rid of toxins, but also from beneficial microflora, so I advise you to start gradually. That is, from small doses: one tablet of activated charcoal before meals for three days, and after a week you can already use one of two methods, but again, no more than 3 days!

Everything is clear with the dosage of coal, but what about the food itself? And for food it is worth consuming products according to the so-called “healthy lifestyle basis”, that is, an exceptionally healthy diet. This is the absence of sweets, fatty, fast carbohydrates, smoked, fried and starchy foods in the diet, and also in parallel to this, move more and eat less in general (burn more calories than consume). Then the weight will inevitably decrease, losing unnecessary kilograms.

Myth or reality

However, a fat belly is far from slag, but immoderate nutrition. The only way to increase calorie expenditure is to decrease their intake. And, therefore, it will help to lose weight that will make you reduce food intake. A good way is to drink a glass of water before a meal or a high-fiber food (vegetable or fruit), while filling the stomach, water or fiber (fiber) will help you feel full faster. This will reduce your appetite. Activated charcoal will increase the effect of saturation, but this effect will not last for a relatively long time, especially when a person is used to eating a lot every day. But it is enough to eat within 20-30 minutes after taking the pill and forget about eating until the next session.

An activated charcoal diet is not a magical method of losing weight, since charcoal itself does not have the ability to burn fat, and therefore all food eaten will not lose its calorie content, do not forget about it. Charcoal serves as a means to reduce appetite and to cleanse the body of toxins (but you need to cleanse the body of toxins by sports, eat foods containing fiber, olive or linseed oil and kefir) you should not rely on its wonderful properties.

Contraindications and consequences of the diet

  • This technique is absolutely contraindicated for those people who suffer from disorders of the digestive system (peptic ulcer, gastritis, pancreatitis and others). The use of activated charcoal for such a health problem can only aggravate the nature of the disease, but this may not be immediately noticeable. To risk and aggravate the state of your health in this case is not worth it.
  • Charcoal can affect the drying of the intestinal mucosa, leading to constipation.
  • Refrain from alcohol and other medicines on the days of taking activated charcoal, as it will be aimed at destroying them, and not cleansing the body of toxins.
  • It must be remembered that activated charcoal is a sorbent, and therefore it is able to absorb many medications and contraceptives. If the choice fell on this method of getting rid of excess weight, you should think about additional means of protection.
  • Coal is able to remove useful substances - vitamins and trace elements. And, therefore, their use becomes useless during such a diet.
  • It is recommended to use coal for no more than 3 days, otherwise the beneficial intestinal microflora is washed out.
  • After this diet, you need to start taking a complex of minerals and vitamins, as well as eat right.

The method of losing weight through the use of activated charcoal is undoubtedly a folk method that is unlikely to suit everyone, everything will depend on the slagging of the body and you will not lose much weight from this. You should be extremely careful with this method and not go to extremes, trying to increase dosages and risk your health.

In pursuit of weight loss, you do not need to rely on activated charcoal, but you need to play sports (lead an active lifestyle) and eat right. And once again, the diet with activated charcoal is used only to cleanse the body of toxins, since toxins slow down metabolism!
