Removing miui system programs 8. How to disable Google services on Xiaomi without Root rights. Removing via Activity Launcher

Today we will tell you how you can get rid of most of the pre-installed programs that are originally present in the firmware. Many of the applications are simply not needed and you never use them. They not only take up space in permanent memory, but can also be launched when the smartphone is turned on, thereby taking away part of the RAM. Some may still use the Internet connection, simply wasting your traffic.

The most interesting thing is that the removal procedure does not require Root rights. To perform all the steps described below, we need a computer (laptop), with installed drivers for your smartphone, a USB cable, a program (which does not require installation) and the smartphone itself.

The first thing to do is enable developer mode on your smartphone. To do this, go to "Settings" - "About phone" - click on the item "MIUI version" 8 times in a row. At the bottom of the screen should appear the inscription "You have become a developer."

Now you need to go to "Settings" - "Advanced settings" - "For developers".

In the window that opens, activate the item "Debugging via USB".

Now on the computer you need to download, unpack and run the file XiaomiADBFastbootTools.exe

We connect our smartphone to the computer using a USB cable and click "Debloater". A request to pair with a PC should appear on the smartphone - we agree. If a smartphone is detected, information about the connected device will appear in the “Device Info” section.

Now presses the "Debloater" button again. A window with a list of programs will be displayed.

All that remains to be done is to mark unnecessary applications (which will be removed) and click the "Uninstall" button.

The deletion process will begin. The Status window will display information about uninstalled applications. The removal procedure will end with the word “Done!”

In order for the changes to take effect, you must restart your smartphone. To do this, click "Reboot into System". After that, you can disconnect the phone from the computer, and wait for the system to finish loading.

If you carefully look at the removal statuses in the previous screenshot, you can see that some applications were removed correctly, notifying us of this with the inscription “Result: Success”, and some gave the result “Failure - not installed for 0”.

The fact is that initially the program displays a complete list of programs that can be removed. If a certain program says “Failure - not installed for 0” when uninstalling, then such a program is not on your device. This, for example, happens when you remove Mi Credit, Mi Drop, Mi Video and similar applications from non-Xiaomi devices with the MIUI shell, since these programs are simply not available in other firmware. Those applications that, as a result of this procedure, issued “Success” were present on the device and were successfully removed.

The possibilities of this program are not limited to this. The fact is that with the help of it, you can remove any application, even one that is not displayed in the list. To do this, in the application selection section, click the "Add custom apps" button. In the window that opens, enter the name of the package and click "Done!".

Now the application has appeared in the list, mark it and click "Uninstall".

In order to find out the package name of a specific application, in the “Settings” of the smartphone, select the “All applications” item. We are looking for an application that needs to be removed. Let it be "Pinyin Input". Not the most essential app on a smartphone, is it? By clicking on the application, we get into its settings, where you can see information about it by clicking the circle with the letter "i" inside, in the upper right corner of the screen. In the information window, we are interested in the "Package Name", in our case it is: "com.google.android.inputmethod.pinyin".

In this way, you can delete absolutely everything, and on any smartphone - not necessarily the Xiaomi brand.

The expression “Absolutely everything” should be treated with caution.
Do not delete everything, especially system files. Careless actions can lead to
system inoperability.

Modern smartphones from Xiaomi have the widest functionality and can cope with almost any task that is set before them, as before mobile devices. However, often during the operation of devices there are difficulties - slow / incorrect operation. The article describes in detail how MIUI 8 is optimized using the correct phone settings, as well as through the use of standard / installed software.

Basic optimization methods

If a smartphone on MIUI 8 slows down a lot, then you need to perform the following 7 steps from the list below:

  1. The shell must be updated to the latest version. Today, for example, Xiaomi Redmi 3 and other devices from this manufacturer can be updated to MIUI 8.1.1.0. To update, you need to connect to the Internet, and then enter the appropriate menu called "Update".
  1. Now you need to go to the standard application "Security". Optimization is performed by clicking on the "Optimize" button. Upon completion of this process, the device will issue a report on the work done (the amount of cleared cache memory, the number of protected applications) indicating the most dangerous areas in the system (the most energy-consuming applications, changed default settings).

  1. If the phone slows down when navigating between menus or when launching windows, you can try turning off the animation. There are two main ways.
  • You need to go to the "Settings" - "Battery and performance" menu, turning off the system animation in the corresponding item.

  • Go to "Settings" - "About phone", click on the item "MIUI version" until the device notifies you that the developer mode is activated.

  • After that, you need to go to the "Settings" - "Advanced" - "For Developers" section and in the "Drawing" block, set up the animation as you wish.

  1. It is also very important to set up automatically starting applications. You can control the autorun settings by going to "Security" - "Permissions", and then, by selecting "Autorun", disable the launch of certain applications at system startup. You can limit the number of background applications through the same developer menu, which was described in paragraph 3.

  1. Another MIUI optimization can be done by increasing the level of system memory cleaning. All in the same developer menu, you must select the "Optimize system memory" item by setting a higher value for it.

  1. One extreme measure is to completely uninstall applications if the system memory is at the maximum level. You can delete them: through the main screen (you need to hold down the shortcut and drag it to the trash, which will appear at the top of the screen);

  • In the second case, you can not delete the application, but clear its data if there is a suspicion that the system slowdown is caused precisely by the operation of this software. Through the menu "Settings" - "All applications".

  1. Finally, the last method, it is also “in case of emergency”. If the system cannot be optimized, then it should be reset to the factory configuration. This procedure is performed through "Settings" - "Advanced" - "Restore and reset" - "Reset settings". The bottom line is that the device will be completely cleared of any information entered and settings made while working with it after the initial firmware at the manufacturer. Accordingly, you should first copy the data to external media, or make a backup copy on a synchronized Mi account.

Alternative ways

Also for a smartphone from Xiaomi, finer settings can be made. The presence of access to the developer's menu has already been indicated above. Having entered it, you should pay attention to the item where hardware rendering acceleration is turned on. This method is a pure experiment: the user himself must track whether the enabled setting will be effective, since the effect may not be there or it will turn out to be the opposite (the system will slow down even more).

Installation of special software. Again, the result is not guaranteed, since one of the most popular applications that solve the described task, Clean Master, has almost the same functionality as the standard Security menu. However, it is worth a try, as different approaches of developers to the cleaning process can give different results.

Other factors that can affect the speed of the system:

  • the number of desktops - you can check if you pinch the screen with three fingers at once (pull them together). Unnecessary screens should be removed;

  • the number of widgets - do not forget that each "picture" creates an additional load, and each information module (widget) requires a part of the memory to update the data displayed on it;
  • "live" wallpapers also create a load on the processor and battery of the device
  • auto-updates in the Play Market must be disabled. After launching the application, you need to push the tab on the right and go to "Settings". At the very top, set the value to "Never" to auto-update all applications that are downloaded to the smartphone;

  • A completely full device memory can negatively affect performance, always keep 100-200 MB free;
  • For advanced users who have root on the device, it is possible to freeze and even delete system services and miui and Xiaomi applications, which will positively affect the freed up processor and battery resources. It is worth warning that this method is very dangerous for your smartphone.

Outcome

The article discusses in detail the optimization of Xiaomi Redmi and Mi models, and all the proposed methods work with other devices on MIUI 8. Monitor your smartphone constantly, as good prevention eliminates the occurrence of problems and the need for optimization.

For a certain number of reasons, users of Xiaomi phones often have questions about how to uninstall this or that application, why it is not possible to uninstall an application, how to clear all its data, etc. This may be due to the usual ignorance of the situation, updated firmware or some kind of malfunction in the phone itself.

Below is a list of those applications that can be removed from the phone, and not just disabled:

  1. Self-downloaded programs through the Play Market or browser;
  2. Some installed google services: YouTube, Books, Movies, Music, etc.

These applications are removed, roughly speaking, by the " Settings» > « Delete". For other programs, either special moves are used, or special applications are installed, or root rights are needed.

How to remove stock apps on Xiaomi

A rather relevant issue is the removal of standard programs from the phone, such as " Calculator», « Calendar" etc.

But, in order to, for example, delete the application " Weather”, or updates are disabled, which will be discussed later, or super-user rights are obtained - instructions will also be given later.

How to uninstall app on xiaomi: first method

If you are going to delete an application that you downloaded yourself, the removal process will not be time-consuming, but on the contrary, it will seem very simple.

To use this method, the application must be located on the desktop.

Instruction:

  1. Find the application on the desktop;
  2. Hold it with your finger - a trash can icon will appear at the top;
  3. Drag the application there;
  4. Confirm your choice.

This method is not complete for all Xiaomi models - on phones with some firmware versions (mostly older ones), in this way you can remove the application only from the desktop, but not from the phone as a whole, which the following method can help.

How to uninstall an app on Xiaomi: second method

This method is suitable for all Xiaomi devices and is the same way to uninstall applications as on android - through the settings.

Instruction:

  • Go to " Settings»;
  • Open the " All applications»;
  • If you are still uninstalling the program you installed yourself, it will not be superfluous to go to " Third Party Applications» - you will quickly find the necessary object, since only applications that are independently installed on the phone are shown there;
  • Select the desired application and go to its settings;
  • Before deleting, you can also use the " Erase data" and " Clear cache", so that the application certainly does not leave any traces in the " the insides of the phone;
  • Click " Delete» and confirm your choice;

Third party ways to uninstall apps

Sometimes the above methods of uninstalling programs are not enough.

But there are two more methods on how to rid your phone of an unnecessary application: through the Play Market and using CCleaner.

Removal through the Play Market:

  • Go to the Play Market and open the menu tab " My apps and games»;
  • Go to " Installed apps»;
  • Select the desired program and open it;
  • Here you will see two buttons: Update App"and what we need -" Delete app”, press and confirm your choice;

There are situations when a simple removal, even through " Settings” may not be enough, and the data of this application remains inside the phone. Removing the application through special software will help to completely clear the cache, using which you can also identify any problems in the phone and check it for threats and viruses.

Instruction:

  1. Go to the Play Market;
  2. Type in the search "CCleaner" - this is a special program for analyzing your device and cleaning it from unnecessary garbage;
  3. Install the application on your phone and run;
  4. In addition to the list of accumulated problems / viruses, etc., if any, you will see a list of applications in which you need to select the one you want to remove and click the appropriate button;
  5. In the same place you can erase all data from this application;

How to remove google apps from xiaomi phone

Many Google services are built into the Xiaomi phone itself, so the previous methods will not help to remove these applications. In general, these programs can be considered practically systemic. But you can use other solutions, which will be discussed later.

How to delete google- app: disable updates

This method does not completely remove the application from the phone, but only disables all its update processes and work in general - you can forget about its existence, but if you suddenly need it, it will be possible to reactivate it.

Of the services provided google applications such as Play Books, Play Movies, YouTube, etc. often already installed on a smartphone (especially often on android), but they can be removed in the usual way.

Instruction:

  1. Go to " Settings» to the tab « All applications»;
  2. Select the necessary Google application that you want to remove;
  3. At the bottom, click the " Disable»;

Attention! The "Disable" and "Uninstall Updates" functions serve different roles. "Delete updates" means that all updates will be deleted (it's like clearing the cache / data), but the application will continue to work, moreover, it will try to install new versions of itself on the phone. And the "disable" option is what you need. After activating it, the application will be suspended.

How to uninstall system apps and services google: other software

Many programs have been invented for third-party removal of applications that also perform many other functions that change the settings and capabilities of a smartphone.

Often their use falls on the Xiaomi Redmi 4x phone, this is due to the new firmware - MIUI 8.

The following methods may also help you uninstall some mi apps.

Uninstall via Activity Launcher:

  • Install the "Activity Launcher" application through the Play Market;
  • Run it and in the top menu replace " Recent Activities" on the " All actions»;
  • Next, find the tab " Settings» necessarily in Russian;
  • You will see a list of tabs, select " All applications" with a link "android.settings.applications.ManageApplications";
  • You will be given a list of installed programs where you can find and google-applications;
  • Select the desired application and disable it;

Due to the use of the Activity Launcher, the application will remain in the phone itself, but will not manifest itself in any way, however, if necessary, it will not be difficult to restore it.

Removal via MoreShortcuts:

  • Install the MoreShortcuts application through the Play Market;
  • Launch the application and select Activity;
  • Enter " All applications»;
  • Now you need to create a desktop shortcut: click on the very last field "Settings$AllApplicationsActivity" and it will appear on the main screen of your gadget;
  • Open this shortcut and find the desired program;
  • Click the button Disable» and confirm your choice;

Ready!
These two applications are similar, and the methods for uninstalling applications using them are almost identical.

Be careful when disabling applications, as some programs can cause bad consequences for the phone.

The most complex and durable way to uninstall apps

Now we will analyze the process of "reinforced concrete" removal of programs from the phone.

It includes:

  1. Unlocking the bootloader;
  2. Getting root rights;
  3. Firmware update;
  4. Installation of special software.

Using this method, in most cases, voids the warranty for the device, and also improperly conducting it can disrupt the phone's performance and cause the need to reflash it, so this is best done by those who have additional knowledge about the device of the Xiaomi system.

However, this is just a warning, and if you do it right, you will have additional opportunities in using your Xiaomi phone.

  1. Go to Xiaomi official website;
  2. Fill out a request to unlock the bootloader;
  3. The reason why you need to do this is "To install localized firmware";
  4. The application is considered from one to three days, so you have to wait;
  5. After a positive response, install the MiPhoneManager and MiFlashUnlock programs on your computer;
  6. Update the firmware to the latest weekly;
  7. Next, you need to link the phone to the Xiaomi system account - mi account: go to "Settings", select the "Device Information" tab and make 7 clicks on the "MIUI version" field - you have unlocked the developer menu;
  8. Go to the "Advanced" tab in "Settings";
  9. Go to "For Developer" and turn on the factory unlock;
  10. In the "MiFlashUnlock" program on the PC, log in to your account using the Xiaomi account that was linked to the phone;
  11. Turn off the phone and call the Main Menu - hold the power and volume up buttons at the same time, and after the MI icon appears, only the volume button;
  12. Enter "Fastboot" mode;
  13. Connect your phone to your computer and click Unlock.

Installation of special software:

  1. Download and install Team Win Recovery Project on your computer;
  2. Being in the "Fastboot" mode and connecting to the computer, open the "bat" and follow all the suggested actions in sequence;
  3. The phone should reboot;
  4. Next, go to the "Advanced" section;
  5. Select "Tools" and then the "Disable Verify" field.

If you do not follow the above steps, you risk damaging your smartphone!

Getting root rights:

  1. Install the latest version of the SuperSu application on your phone;
  2. Go to TWRP by holding the power button and both volume buttons when the device is turned off;
  3. Go to the "Install" tab, select "SuperSu" and download;
  4. The device will reboot (most likely more than once);
  5. You have received root rights;
  6. Check: a shortcut to the "SuperSu" application should appear on the desktop.
  7. Next, you need to install any file manager that has access to system programs and proceed to the last step.

Removing apps:

  1. Open the manager;
  2. Go to the "/system/app" tab and delete the fields of the required application with the designations ".apk" and ".odex" (some programs may be in the "priv-app" tab);
  3. In the "/ data / app" tab, delete all updates, and from the "/ data / data" tab, the entire cache;

Miui firmware for Android latest versions. And with the latest update, users started having problems using basic functions. Due to the fact that some basic elements have changed their location.
One of the global problems was the removal of applications from miui 8.0.

Through the Play store

If you installed your application through the Playmarket, then deleting it should not cause any problems. To do this, launch the Playmarket - in the search bar, select the application you need to remove. Next, go to the menu - and select the "delete" item. Next, playmarket will automatically remove the application without any hassle, and clean up all the garbage behind it

Through special software

The second option will require the installation of the Ccleaner application, which is designed to clean your smart device from unnecessary garbage. To do this, install the application through the playmarket or through w3bsit3-dns.com - after which we find the necessary application in the menu - and delete

System tools

The last method does not require any additional manipulations and installation of third-party software. In the new miui 8.0, the removal of applications is located in the same place where it is in the standard Android OS. Therefore, to delete it, you need to go to the phone menu, select the settings item. Next, we find in the sub-item "applications".
In the drop-down list, we find the application of interest to be deleted. We go inside it, and select the item "delete data". After the main data has been deleted, you can click on the "delete" button.

Outcome

Miui 8.0, although different from its predecessors, the developers still tried to make its interface as intuitive as possible, and prevent the creation of such situations. Therefore, removing applications should not cause difficulties for advanced Android users.
If you need to remove several applications, then for this you need to repeat the operation for each application manually, or in the Ccleaner program select all the applications you need to remove.

Note:

if the application belongs to the system, then its removal by the above methods is impossible. To remove system applets, use superuser rights, which can be obtained without losing the warranty coverage of your smart equipment.

The Redmi 4x smartphone from the Chinese company Xiaomi pleases its owners with a sophisticated design, 5-inch display and high performance, but it has a long list of pre-installed applications. In most cases, more convenient analogues of these programs are used, so the question of owners of Xiaomi Redmi 4x how to remove Google applications arises quite often. There are two ways to do this: without root rights and with them.

Do not forget that obtaining the rights of the "superuser" can lead to a loss of warranty for the device.

Method one

The easiest and safest way is to install a special free application Activity Launcher. It contains a large number of changeable parameters of the Android operating system, with which you can optimize your smartphone. You can find it on Google Play.

To disable the standard application, you need to launch the Activity Launcher and change the “Recent Activities” item to “All Activities” at the top of the screen.

After that, you need to go to the "Settings" section in Russian (not "Settings")

and select "All applications" (com.android.settings.applications.ManageApplications).

A list of applications installed on the device will open, including Google services.

By selecting an application, you can disable it in the standard way, the same as in the Xiaomi Redmi menu. This will stop the program and remove its updates. In this way, you can disable any application.

The advantage of this method is that the program will not be removed from the source directory, and in case of an error, the application can be activated.

If you want to not only disable services, but also permanently get rid of them, then you must use the second method.

Method two

To completely remove the system applications of Xiaomi Redmi 4, you must have root rights and an unlocked bootloader. Changing system directories can lead to the loss of device performance and the need for flashing.

The official Xiaomi portal provides the function of unlocking the bootloader of any device. This requires a Mi Account. When filling out the request with the reason for unlocking, specify: To install localized firmware. Within 3 days the application will be considered.

After unlocking the bootloader, you must:

  1. Install the MiPhoneManager and MiFlashUnlock programs on the PC.
  2. Update your phone firmware to the latest weekly.
  3. Link device to Mi Account. To do this, select the "Device Information" item in the settings and click on "MIUI Version" 7 times - the developer menu will be unlocked. Then, in the "Advanced" section, select the "For Developer" item and enable factory unlock. When you go to "Mi Unlock Status", a window for adding an account will appear.
  4. Launch the MiFlashUnlock program using your Mi account.
  5. With the device turned off, hold down the power button and volume down until a hare appears (Fastboot mode). After that, connect the device to the PC and click "Unlock".

Installing TWRP for Redmi 4x:

  1. Install the latest version of TeamWin Recovery for your device on your PC.
  2. In Fastboot mode, connect the phone to the PC, run TWRP.bat and follow the instructions. After flashing, the device will reboot in TWRP mode.
  3. Go to the "Advanced" section, then "Tools" and select the "Disable Verify" item. If you skip this item, the device will not start and a flashing will be required.

Getting root rights:

  1. Download the latest version of SuperSU on your phone.
  2. Go to TeamWin recovery (with the smartphone turned off, hold down the power button and both volume buttons).
  3. In the "Install" section, select SuperSU and install. The phone will reboot several times and start with activated root rights, and the SuperSU application will appear on the desktop.

After that, you need to install a file manager with access to system files: Root Browser, ES Explorer, File Manager by Rhythm Software, etc. Before removing system programs, it is recommended to backup the system.

Complete removal of the application:

  1. From the "/system/app" directory, delete the folder of the unnecessary application with the .apk and .odex files.
  2. Delete the folder with updates from the "/data/app" section.
  3. Delete the cache from "/data/data".

What system applications can be removed

Removing unnecessary applications on Xiaomi will save mobile Internet traffic, space and RAM. But some system utilities cannot be deleted! These include: system clock, boot loaders, installers, drivers, interfaces, regular backup, system storage and explorer. Most of them are marked with Android icons.

Miui system applications that can be deleted: Chinese services (AlipayMsp, GameCenter, GuardProvider, MiShop), AntiSpam, live wallpapers (Galaxy4, HoloSpiralWallpaper, LiveWallpapers, VisualizationWallpapers), browsers, calendars, any Google apps, FM radio, players, notes , weather services (Weather, WeatherProvider). Removing them does not affect the integrity of the operating system.

A test menu will open, with which you can conduct a complete check of the smartphone.

After passing all the tests, you should back up the system.
